We were looking for a good breakfast spot and this had good reviews for our area. We decided to stop here and we got greeted by a very nice lady that sat us she was so nice and I was like well she deserves a great tip! But then we got another waitress she wasn't very nice it was our first time here and I asked her questions and she responded in a bad way like is she was doing us a favor. The food was good mom loved the waffle and her biscuits, my baby enjoyed the face that on her pancake super cute. My country steak was okay not the best. It was pretty pricy $70 something and when it was time to pay it was kinda awkward cause she was just waiting for the tip. Anyways we wont be back.

Found this on google having good ratings. Conveniently located on Meeker Street. Came in right after it opened at 7. Not crowded and plenty of tables. Server was very friendly and checked on you enough to not feel like you're being bothered. Started off with a hot chocolate and a as served with a pleasantly sized artistic cup. Taste was very good and not too sweet like you get with some places. Ordered the homemade corned beef hash as it was recommended as one of the popular choices there. Portion size was very generous, but the cuts of corned beef were a little too fatty for me. The potatoes were not as cooked through as I'd like them, but they were still good. Needed a bit of pepper with it. The kicker was their homemade salsa. Slightly spicier than Cholua, but it had a great taste and hit the right spice without reaching for water. Highly recommend the homemade salsa! Overall, this was a very pleasant place to have breakfast and relax. Was not too loud and they had weekend specials too (pictured 11Oct). I highly recommend this place!

Maggie's on Meeker A few KM grads meeting every month at our fave diner.

A group of KM grads meet here monthly...pretty regularly since. COVID. We all have our favorites, probably starting with the owner and her great fun staff. Food great; fish n chips, scramble, hamburgers, Quiche (order when you walk thru the door or it will be gone) and the best chili dog I have ever had. Servings big enough to save half for dinner and most do. Decor is diner style. Not cluttered, but clean and bright. We all love it for relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Not fancy but you won't be disappointed. s

Always good food here, always taking left overs home to eat . Family owned. It get busy and they serve ya fast . Weekend specials. Home made baked goods.

Great for a homely family-feel breakfast place. Hits the craving very well! Waitress was great too

It's pretty much old time diner food. Not that there is anything wrong with that, it can be amazing, this was just so so. Not sure how long the restaurant has been there, I'm guessing for awhile. Some of the folks eating obviously come often since the servers seem to know them and one older gentleman had no problem getting up and getting his own coffee and napkins. It was pretty busy around 10:30 on a Tuesday morning and did feel badly for the server. Apparently the boss let the 2nd server go home early resulting in a slow down in service, not her fault that's for sure. I had what they called a Maggie scramble. Had potatoes, some veggies, eggs and ham scrambled together and topped with cheese. It was a huge portion, enough for more than one and I brought a lot of it home. The problem was the cheese was in just one place and without that topping there wasn't much taste. My husband got a four egg omelette filled with sausage which is said was ok, needed some cheese on top and not just inside. It came with a huge side of hash browns and toast. The servers were pleasant and the restaurant was clean. Just not sure it would be worth going to try again

    "hot mess"

Food was excellent, but kind of pricey. I got the eggs benedict (hollandaise was excellent), & hubs got the "hot mess". We both very much enjoyed our food. There was only 1 waitress and she was doing her best. No free refills on the juice (boo!) It's much bigger inside than it looks from outside. They have tons of pastries, of which we didn't try, but they all look homemade. All in all, a good experience and we'll probably go back

This would be our 1st time at this establishment. So we just arrived after a 6 hour flight. We were very hungry so we came upon this place. It wasn't bz at all!.So we didn't have to wait to be seated. Its a nice place like a southern feel.Nothing to fancy. So after receiving our drinks we placed our order. My girl friend had the Griddle breakfast. It was a feast!.The sausage links is so good!.As well as everything else.As for myself I got the Chicken fried steak. It Hit the spot!.The gravy had the perfect peppery taste and companying that a comforting feeling and the house fries just made everything all that good!.I just wanted to go to sleep after that. After that meal we were ready for the day ahead. Also the waitress was so nice n friendly it made the experience all more enjoyable!.So when we are back Seattle. We will definitely be stoping by again.Maybe take a few cookies or baked pastry to go!..

Knew this place was going to be good when you can see it was busy with regulars. Decent portions, great tasting and affordable. Located in the downtown Kent area plenty of street parking. Inside spacious with plenty of seating. Staff were friendly and quick.

Pulling into the parking lot, I have to admit I wondered if my GPS had developed a sense of humor. The restaurant sits in an older strip mall that doesn't exactly scream "destination dining," but the inside has a cozy, old-school Texas diner feel that was actually pretty charming. Unfortunately, convincing my two kids that this was a better choice than IHOP turned into a losing battle almost immediately. We waited over 40 minutes for our food, which, in kid time, is roughly equivalent to serving a prison sentence. Every five minutes I was reminded that pancakes at IHOP would have already been eaten, digested, and forgotten by then. To be fair, the food was good. I ordered the Philly Scramble, and my wife ordered the California Eggs Benedict. The quality was solid, but the pricing left me scratching my head. The California Eggs Benedict, which came with tomato, avocado, and bacon, was nearly $30. For comparison, I've paid less for Eggs Benedict at places in downtown Seattle. Seeing a $28.99 Eggs Benedict in a strip mall in Kent felt like finding luxury hotel prices at a gas station convenience store. The pricing surprises didn't stop there. There are extra charges for things like splitting orders, automatic gratuity, and add-ons. We had asked for strawberries with the French toast, which may have contributed to the final bill, but it wasn't entirely clear when I reviewed the receipt. Unfortunately, the handwriting on the check was difficult to read, making it hard to understand exactly how everything was itemized. Since I wasn't completely sure what had already been included, I ended up leaving an additional tip just to avoid accidentally shorting someone. By the end, breakfast for our family came out to around $115. Now, credit where it's due: the service itself was friendly, and once the food arrived, everyone enjoyed it. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and I can see why people like this place. The restaurant has a unique charm and definitely feels different from the typical chain breakfast spot. Overall, Mary's Fine Food serves good food and has a pleasant atmosphere, but the long wait times and pricing felt hard to justify for a family breakfast. Three stars. Not a bad meal, but next time my kids vote for IHOP, they may actually win the family election.

However, other cafes smear some avocado on toast and add a tomato and charge you $15, here they give you a whole meal with an egg on top, cucumbers and tomatoes, avocado, and more. It actually feels like it's worth your money. The coffee is good even though it's not too unique. I feel like they used to be a specialty coffee shop before they turned to the crepe/cafe scene. The coffee was very sweet though so I would highly recommend getting it half sweet. The crepe is good, stuffed well and worth the price. It is obviously sweet as well so it's hard to drink a very sweet coffee with a sweet crepe. The barista was kind and helpful with any questions I had when ordering. Charcoal Grilled Pork Chop: coconut-ginger braised collard greens, grilled spring onion, pork jus, wasabi butter (4/5). The Double cut portion was cooked to medium. It was tender, juicy, and the juices had a sweetness to it. The wasabi butter was good and not overpowering. I'd order this again. Superfood Salad: white bean hummus, quinoa, kale, carrots, blueberries, golden berries, cashews, sunflower & pumpkin seeds, avocado, herbs, feta, lemon-sesame vinaigrette (4/5). My wife really enjoyed her salad. I admit it was full of good ingredients but a tad bit heavy-handed on the dressing. Don't get me wrong the vinaigrette was delicious.
