As a Native of Texas who has spent my life traveling abroad eating Chinese food in some of the best Chinese Restaurants. I feel like I know Good Chinese food vs Bad. Mah-Jong is hands down my favorite in Texas. It has been the only Chinese restaurant that I have repeatedly come back to in North Texas. Our go to order. Shrimp Pan Fried Noodles, Chili Chicken level 1 we can't take the heat we get the chili spice oil on the side and the scallion pancakes.

Food was average, but I will go back and try more than appetizers to make a final decision. Hot and Sour Soup was good. It was very vinegar based in my opinion. Not a bad thing as I liked the flavor. I wish it would have had a little spice to it. I could eat it again, but I have definitely had better. 3.5 STARS Crab Rangoon was a little over fried for me. It was just a bit too crunchy for my liking. The center was soft and cheesy which helped it. I would not order these again. 3 STARS Service was good and the staff were pleasant. Ambiance it's a cute and simple restaurant. I love the art and lighting fixtures. It felt cozy and comfortable. Overall it was a good visit. I want to explore the entree's so I will go back to see if I can give them a better rating.

The disappointment started when the guy brought the lunch portion Hot & Sour Soup. The soup didn't even fill half the very small ramekin. And the wood ear mushroom wasn't properly trimmed, and as a result I bit into a hard woody stem that splintered in my mouth. Next came their "famous" Szechuan chicken dumplings which I guarantee were frozen dumplings that had zero crisp. Likely boiled. They had some kind of stir fry sauce on them. Awful. The fried wonton chips didn't come with hot mustard or duck sauce but the table next to us were brought the mustard. The mains were adequate but nothing special. The fried spring roll was filled with an oily vegetal mush. Also frozen, not made in house. I wouldn't go here again if the next meal was free.

Kind of a fancy place. People were getting nervous. Don't close your menu unless you are ready to order. Do have reservations. Had fun. We got Shu Mai dumplings LikeABo$$.

Had lunch there today after a doctor appointment and had a nice lunch. Very soothing ambiance with soft music that facilitates conversation. Service was fast and efficient. I had sweet and sour soup and my wife had egg drop soup. My wife enjoyed her sesame chicken and I mostly liked my Kung Pao beef but there was an occasional floral taste that didn't work for me. Spring rolls were good but nothing outstanding. Overall gotta give them five stars for service and ambience and three and a half for food. Would definitely return and try something different.

I got Singapore fried noodle and it was really good. I tried hong Kong crispy noodles and that was good too. Szechuan beef was good. Their beef is very tender. Scallion pancakes were a little bland.

This place is absolutely made for a group outing, and we're already planning to come back with a group to take full advantage. The food was a delight. The Singapore noodles had this wonderful curry flavor that I absolutely loved, and the combo fried rice was just as satisfying. We also ordered the Peking duck (P1 on the menu). It was good, though not quite as flavorful on its own as we'd hoped. That said, once you load it up with the hoisin, cucumber, and spring onions, it all comes together beautifully. The bao buns that came with it were soft and delicious, honestly a highlight. We also sipped on hot jasmine tea throughout, which was the perfect, refreshing complement to the whole meal. A solid spot with great vibes, tasty dishes, and room to grow on us even more with a return visit.

Our server was patient with us while answering our questions on the menu and knowing the menu well enough to recommend us things that suited our palettes. We ordered: Cumin Lamb (side: fried rice); Singapore Noodle Combination (chicken/shrimp/beef); Eggplant w/ Garlic Sauce (side: steamed rice); Okra w/ Giant Oyster Mushroom (side: steamed rice); and Xao Long Bao (6 pcs). WOW! The braised okra with giant oyster mushroom positively SURPRISED and leap frogged to the top of my preferred vegetable GOTOs...The cumin lamb was SO tender and VERY flavorful. One of the best preparations yet. The Singapore noodle combo and Xao Long Bao did not disappoint... More importantly, the service we received was attentive, courteous, knowledgeable, and prompt. Sadly, the eggplant with garlic sauce is the ONLY reason a star is withheld for this review...it detracted from traditional Chinese style; notes of garlic eviscerated by the chef's sweetening to satisfy an American palette...Why fix something that's unbroken?...I get it. The restaurant has to cater to its customers who populate this mix use (business/lease residential) area at the NW corner of Alma and Hwy 121, but doesn't that limit its draw? Guess we'll just have to head either further south on Central (HWY 75) to the Legacy & Spring Creek areas or further west to the Preston and Warren Pkwy Frisco TX area to satisfy our authentic Chinese cuisine food cravings.

We ordered the A-Choy vegetable and it was awful, old and yellow and not cooked well. It's like they didn't sauté it in a hot enough wok so it wasn't crispy. So disappointing this time.
