Best burgers around. I would give it 5 stars but it is a bit pricey--- still come here whenever I want a burger

They've been open for a little over a month & I have already been here on a weekly basis, so what does that tell you? Armando, Nadia & Roberto have done it again- if you've ever dined at their other downtown Mesa restaurant (Espiritu), then you'd know that they can craft an amazing burger. I was eager for Main Burger to open & they definitely didn't disappoint. Although the menu is limited in offerings, the flavors more than make up for it. You can't go wrong with any of the options- Chiwas and Sonoran both offer some heat and the Classic is great, if a traditional burger is more your jam. Price point is fair, considering the quality of food that you're getting. During peak times, there can be a line but it moves swiftly- there is seating indoors and on the patio & service has always been great! This spot is definitely here to stay! read more

You know those days when you want a classic, old school burger that you can't really find at big burger chains? Main Burger is the place for that. Everyone that works here has such a great attitude & the shop itself has a laid back, nostalgic feel. We shared a double classic burger meal and tried the hotdog. The hotdog had good flavor, but it was a little too much for me personally with regards to the toppings. Very greasy, but what else would you expect with a bacon wrapped hotdog. The patty itself had a good flavor, although some bites were saltier than others. The issue was the amount of cheese in the burger (2 slices). Unless you really like cheddar cheese, it overpowered the overall burger. I'll come back and try there other burgers, but I'll make sure to ask for less cheese. No complaints about the service, everyone was great. Great outdoor seating, good ambiance. read more

We went today and they had only been open since Tuesday ... so four days. Good foot traffic even before they had a grand opening. Had a single combo and of you are hungry, you will need the double burger. Fries were perfect .its super clean and friendly. Parking is really good. The only thing I did not like was the buttered bun (on top). It looks good, but every bite, your hands are buttery and slippery. It's not close to home, but if we are downtown Mesa, it's on our list to go. Give this new small business a try. Support the little guys read more

WOW, That was an amazing BURGER!!. Hello everyone I usually don't start a review like this but this place was Amazing, my wife loves her TicTock and Instagram and the other night she saw this Main Burger shop in Downtown Mesa Az. And shared it with me so of course I was all in to give it a try, we pulled it up and saw it was closed but decided to still go by and glad we did, it was Hopping so we went in and ordered the Chiwas Burger with fries and drink and dug in, Wow what a great tasting burger ( menu pictured will show ingredients ) the fries were great as well, I told Jen I should have ordered two burgers instead of sharing one lol. I talked to the manager to let him know that the website said the business was closed to our surprise we came on there soft opening day lucky us right, anyways you'll Definitely got to stop by and give them a try and sure you'll be a returning customer as it's down as one of my to go places now for a good Burger. I'm really happy to see some more quality food and a little revitalization going on in downtown Mesa! This place is helping to keep that momentum going. Their food tastes great and the place has an awesome aesthetic and look that I don't see much in the Valley. Not sure what the deal is, but the various times I've been here, their staff have always made the place feel unwelcoming though. Even when there's few or a handful of guests eating in here already. I guess the place is small, but it just seems like their crew has some drama going on back there or something. It's weird. I'll usually just eat on their nice patio area or take it to go. Doesn't help that they have very little place to wait around either. Maybe I'm nitpicking, but if it was a busy night, I don't know how they'd function. Their food deserves better. read more

I heard about Main burger on tic tok. It was 2:30 and they had people in the place. It is a very clean looking restaurant, but small inside. They have just as many or more seating on the patio. Which sit right on main. I ordered a classic single burger and fries. The burger was rather small, fresh bun, carmalized onions and regular lettuce. The fries were nice,crispy on outside, soft inside. Tasty at first. But it became a little to greasy for me. Price wise, 9 bucks for the burger and 5 bucks for the fries. We stopped by Main Burger last week after my daughter's game. The week before, we tried to come but faced a one-hour wait. This time, we got there before 7 PM and had no wait at all--we were able to order right away. No complaints here! It's definitely on the pricier side, but I love what they're building in downtown Mesa. It's more than just a burger spot--it's a place that brings the community together over some seriously juicy cheeseburgers and hotdogs. Worst burger I have ever had. Will never eat here or recommend to anyone. I ordered to go and live 3 block's away. Fries were cold and old. Bun was soggy top and bottom. Meat has zero flavor. I had one bite and one fry and tossed the meal in the trash. I won't even deer it to my dog. Service guy was not very friendly and cold. read more

Ordered the Hot Dog, Chiwas, and Sonora burgers to split between two. Hot Dog -- Honestly it was a gloppy mess. There was no discernable flavor between the hot dog, bacon, and toppings. The biggest thing that happened was that I went through 5 paper towel pieces because ingredients were pouring all over the place...and that was only half because I split the other half. Compared to every other Sonora style hot dog I've ever had this was a huge miss by miles. Burgers -- I'll write about them together because I couldn't distinguish one from the other in terms of taste. Both were pretty unremarkable. The biggest issue was that there was no seasoning whatsoever on the burgers. Frankly, the burgers only added texture, but not taste. If you look at their menu you'll see a long list of ingredients on the burgers, but none of them came through with the lone possibility of the green chili on the Chiwas burger. Fries -- They were fine, but that's not a very high bar to clear. So the above came to $52. Was it worth $52? A resounding no it was not. I'm not sure it is worth half that price. Overall, it was a big meh. Most definitely could have been much better and far less expensive. I think this establishment may be riding on the name of the owners. That's not a bad thing, but if you're going to do it then you need to bring the goods. read more

The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful in walking me through my order, even though I ended up just getting the classic burger combo. I am a huge fries girl and I appreciate that these were clearly made in house, but the salt was hit or miss on each fry-- this can easily be corrected by adding the delicious cheese sauce to the fries. We've been wanting to visit this place since it first opened, and it did not disappoint! My husband, toddler, and myself got there around 5ish. The place had quite a few patrons but there were seats available. We were greeted as we came in and ordered 2 double combos (one Sonora and one Chiwas style.) They were cooked to perfection! I would drive out here any day for any one of these. The flavors were distinct from another, but we couldn't tell which one was the winner. As for my fries, well, my son determined those were exclusively for him, but I got to sneak a few once I shared some of my burger with him. He was one happy camper along with his mommy and daddy. One of the Best burger spots in in the valley. Competes with Bad Jimmy's, Stoop kid, 5th street, etc. Really solid cook on the burgers and fries, great ingredients and flavor. You gotta understand that alot of the 3- star reviews are people who probably dont have a discerning taste, and can't necessarily fathom the difference between a gourmet burger and a fast food burger. read more

If you like soggy burgers, overcooked and no flavor fries, and offensive music, you might like this. Not my cup of tea. Didn't need to hear F-bombs in every song and other offensive lyrics. If you don't eat your burger fast it will be soggy with all the sauce on these. I don't feel it added much flavor either. read more

While they have a very limited menu of hamburgers, hot dogs and fries they do it really really well. I had a single burger and fries and it was delicious. The burger was cooked perfectly...juicy but done. The sauce, cheese and caramelized onions complimented rather than detracting from the taste of the burger. He had the double with cheese fries. The cheese sauce on the fries is a delicious blend and the smokey bacon was yummy. So, if you are looking for a great hamburger make sure to try Main Burger! read more

Main Burger is Amazing! No one else is doing a Mexican Burger restaurant like this! This is James Beard level Burgers and Hotdogs. It's deceiving because it looks like a fast food restaurant. This is the second time eating here. This time I tried the Sonora burger. I am glad I tried something different. The cheese contra was different, it was yummy and crunchy, excellent addition to the burger. The fries were tasty as usual, crispy and nicely salted. I continue to love the modern decor of the restaurant. I went for lunch, there were a lot of construction workers there for lunch, you know it must be good. We've been waiting for this to open, finally came in and it did not disappoint! We had the single Chiwas Burger, single Sonoran burger, sonoran dog and cheese fries. The service is friendly, its counter style ordering. Everything was very tasty and the burgers are perfectly cooked, a nice crispy edge and still juicy on the inside. This place was awesome! The Mexican/American fusion with a burger spot is a welcome addition to the Valley. Downtown Mesa is arguably the coolest downtown city center of the Valley suburbs. I enjoyed all of the burgers and really loved the Sonora. The employees were friendly and the vibes were immaculate! This place is bomb! It's pricey but great food nevertheless. The classic double cheeseburger combo is the real deal. Make sure you get the spicy ketchup. Downtown Mesa has been needing a place like this for a long time. I highly recommend this place if you want a good burger joint. I'll have to try the Sonora and Chiwas style next time. read more
