My mom and I stopped by to get a quick bite before our appointment nearby and the service was quick even though there was a long line! It is such a charming cafe with a cozy atmosphere and beautiful decor. It's a great spot for coffee, pastries, and a light meal. Next time I go, I would definitely just stick with pastries!

Very cute spot in the Chelsea area to grab a coffee, snack, or lunch! My mom and I stopped in for lunch after walking the high line and checking out the little island and weren't disappointed. The barista at the counter was very sweet and recommended her favorites, I ended up getting the veggie wrap and my mom got an everything croissant salmon sandwich. There's a good amount of seating for the size of the location however, the cafe filled up very fast as we were waiting for our food and we saw many people end up taking their food to sit outside because of lack of seating. Overall my food turned out great and was exactly what I was looking for. Just keep in mind that this location gets busy!

Before visiting the Whitney museum nearby, we decided to stop by maman for some pastries. The salmon tartine here was a pleasant surprise - there's a generous heaping portion of smoked salmon and avocado. We were able to split the tartine and its toppings comfortably. And gladly so, because the balance of flavors were perfect! After having a quick savory bite, we decided to split two pastries. The chocolate pistachio pastry was absolutely delicious and not too sweet. The mango pineapple pastry was a miss for me. The filling in the middle was not my favorite, and texturally I was not a fan either. Ambiance inside is lively - theres a lot of foot traffic. Tables are extremely close to each other, so be prepared for the awkward squeeze and shuffle to get to the inner seat. Service is kind, but not the most attentive. But overall, a great spot for catching up over some yummy pastries!

maman is a great breakfast spot near the High Line. The front door is covered in a floral display and the inside is pretty and peaceful. Their iced vanilla latte was good and we enjoyed the the quiche and breakfast sandwich we ordered. I would return here!

So glad they opened a location of Maman within walking distance of my office! This location is small and gets super busy at lunch time, so expect long lines and a Hunger Games-style race to grab seating. I usually go for the Tawni salad, and I've tried a few of the treats - including the kouign maman, which was amazing, and chocolate chip cookie, which was meh but maybe it was an off day - and will definitely be back for more.

In NYC for business, found on yelp. Almond croissant was best I've ever had. Iced latte extra shot was also excellent. Not crowded, just perfect. Highly recommend

On a recent Saturday, I was meeting a friend at the Whitney to see Edges of Ailey. Go see this amazing exhibition before it leaves Feb. 9! I needed a little coffee and something sweet to start my day. Maman is conveniently located right around the corner from the museum. It's a charming little French-inspired café with lots of yummy things to try. I got the pistachio chocolate croissant which I shared with my friend L. We both loved it. I also got the nutty chocolate chip cookie which we were going to split later but completely forgot about. Sadly, I was forced to eat the cookie all by myself - lol. I love soft chewy cookies and this chocolate chip cookie is all of that plus its loaded with macadamia nuts, almonds, walnuts, & dark chocolate wafers. To satisfy my caffeine craving, I ordered the mocha which hit the spot as it was a cold and blustery day. The next time I go to the Whitney, I'll definitely return to Maman beforehand.

This location was close to an event I was at that was lacking coffee and desserts. Popped over for both. Everything looked decadent! The place was packed so that tells me it would be hard to go wrong no matter what I chose. Ordered a regular coffee and Oprah's favorite cookie. Both were exceptionally good. The space is rustic French with a modern flare. I only have one complaint. The stool I was sitting on was in need of a good tightening. I have no idea how its staying vertical. I checked out the two stools next to mine and they were both missing bolts or screws and could use tuneups, before someone falls off and hurts themselves. Aside from the stools I loved this shop and will definitely check out other locations.

1/1 Ambience; 1/2 Food; 1/1 Service; 1/1 Value A friend and I stopped in during a rainstorm for a quick reprieve. Maman (like every one of them!) has a super cute ambiance that evokes the French countryside. Service was very friendly and efficient. We ordered through the app and were given a 20 minute wait time, but they were much faster, serving us within minutes. We tried the honey lavender latte, the seasonal iced jasmine pistachio latte, the nutty chocolate chip cookie, and a slice of the seasonal lavender blueberry loaf cake. Maman's older version of the lavender blueberry loaf cake was in all honesty superior to the current version which tasted much too dense and dry. The nutty chocolate chip cookie is delicious and worthy of its reputation as one of the best in the city. The honey lavender latte is one of my go-to favorites being that it is so well-balanced and flavorful. But, it might be the iced jasmine pistachio latte that is my new favorite-- it actually tasted life changing! I wish I had taken a picture, but it was so delicious I devoured it in seconds. I wish it was around a lot longer! Although the drinks run on the steeper side in terms of price, the quality is well worth it and everything was very satisfying. Note: if this is your first time at Maman, download the app for $5 to spend at any location!

    Papa's Breakfast Bowl

I visited Maman for brunch with 2 friends on a Saturday. We were seated right away, the ambiance was French- inspired and bright, and service was super welcoming. Food-wise, we really liked the Papa's Breakfast Bowl: large, lots of potato's and lots of flavor and the Croque Maman: simple but cheesy and delicious. Pro tip: Avoid the seasonal coffee drinks Prices are reasonable and the ambiance is great at Maman, so I expect I'll be back for brunch here in the future.

This place is fire. It a block south of the end of the high line. Super fresh and delicious. Everything on the menu is on the light side. The breakfast bowl is probably one of the heartier options, but it comes with a half of avocado and few sprigs of green. So you feel better about being slightly indulgent :) I was able to find a table easy enough. However, the place is not huge. Getting a table could be a challenge on the weekends or really nice days. Check it out

    Croque maman
    Mark T.

First rate! Perfect little lunch spot. We had the croque maman and the turkey sandwich - and the best part: Maman doesn't skimp on ingredients. Add a coffee and a peach mango iced green tea and you're ready to challenge the afternoon! Service was snappy and outdoor dining was pleasant.

The Mango and Pistachio looked so realistic and mirrored the flavors perfectly. I love the size of their cakes which are perfect to share with a group of 4. I indulged in their Black Sesame Mochi Cake and Blueberry Chiffon Cake which both have the fluffiest sponge cake base, a fluffy vibrant cream, and fresh ingredients and fruit. It felt like items weren't made with care and mass produced at a factory or something. I went 10 minutes before they closed and there was still 10+ of each dessert. I'm not convinced that they will dispose of them. Even if they do, it means they didn't do a good job in forecasting demand especially after being in business for multiple years. I ordered mango and yuzu. Both were too sweet and had one dimensional flavor and textures, not refreshing per their stated flavors. Even if their appearances take effort, they don't look pretty enough for me to forgive what goes in my mouth. I'm used to having patisseries with many layers and elements. Mango's sponge probably only took up 20% of the bottom, because I barely had bites of it. Most of my bites didn't have any. I didn't like how liquid the filling was. It didn't exactly ooze out but just melted into a puddle in my mouth. Yuzu looks pretty with the pink and yellow glaze, but it didn't go with the realistic fruit theme. I chose it for the flavor combination which is strawberry, yuzu, and guava. This was slightly better in terms of flavor variety in the mouth. The flower on top had a weird off putting flavor. The bottom crispy rice apparently is supposed to be chocolate but it came out plain. It was tasteless anyway, so not effective in terms of flavor or texture.

I had to run to work after an appointment so I ordered for takeout. The person taking my order was friendly. I opted for the Lumberjack and a black cold brew. I received the drink very quickly, with a short wait for the sandwich. While waiting, one member of the staff stocking up supplies on the side started chatting with me and then she offered to check up on my sandwich. She came out with it shortly thereafter. She was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich held up well during my 15-minute commute to the office. It is a really indulgent sandwich, with each bite revealing the sweetness and butteriness of the maple crueller, the saltiness of the thick cut bacon, and the savoriness of the cheese and the eggs as the yolks popped. I sipped the cold brew in between bites to cut the richness. It was a very satisfying meal. The Lumberjack is not something I would recommend you eat every day, but it's good as an occasional treat. In the past I've ordered lunch from Daily Provisions via delivery (the "Chefy" salad and the chicken milanese with arugula salad are my favorites), but I might start adding other breakfast sandwiches to the mix.

I had never heard of the place before, but I was happy to give it a try -- and I'm so glad I did. From the moment you walk in, the experience feels special. The store has two beautiful double doors that create such a grand entrance, and once inside, you immediately feel the energy. The place was bustling with people, and everyone seemed happy and excited -- from the customers to the team behind the counter and the baristas. The cookie case was overflowing with so many amazing choices that it was hard to decide! I ended up getting the Rocky Road cookie, a Double Chocolate Chip cookie, a Two Chip Chocolate Chip cookie, and a blueberry muffin to enjoy for breakfast the next morning. The service was absolutely impeccable, and everyone I interacted with was warm, friendly, and delightful. When I got home, I had half of the Rocky Road cookie with a cup of tea, and it was incredible. The cookie was large and chunky but still perfectly enjoyable -- not heavy or overwhelming. It literally melted in my mouth. The chocolate was rich and smooth, and every bite was just delicious. The next morning, I tried the blueberry muffin, and it was just as impressive. It was light and airy, not overly sweet like many blueberry muffins can be. It truly felt like a breakfast pastry. The blueberries tasted fresh and burst with flavor in every bite. I will definitely be back for more cookies. This was such a wonderful find, and I'm so happy my coworker introduced me to this place!
