For a Teriyaki joint I give it all 5 stars. I have never liked any Teriyaki joint or one that was worth going back to. I go to this place about once a week for lunch. They have the best katsu chicken (huge portion too). All the other stuff I have tried is yummy too. I don't find the rice to meat ratio to be too much rice like the other review suggested....you get so much meat I'm glad there is lots of rice. Careful when going around noon when school is in session...all the high school kids are in there and it can take a while to get your dish. Just call in your order first. read more

The portions are HUGE. Seriously. One order could easily feed two people no problem. People complain that it's expensive but I don't think it is compared to how much food you get - it's still pretty much what any other place costs. I like to get the chicken teriyaki/chicken katsu/gyoza combo. It comes out to just under $15 but you get at least double the normal portions for both the chicken items plus 4 gyoza AND the salad AND the entire take out container full of rice. It lasts me three meals! I also really like that they have a ton of combos - even teriyaki/Chinese combos so that I don't have to choose if I don't want. read more

In a city full of teriyaki (seriously, try finding a teriyaki joint in NYC), you'd think every place you'd go would have great quality food but boy was I wrong. I wanted to assume that the cook was having a bad day, but something tells me that this is what I'd get everyday. I ordered the lunch special which was pretty generous, it included the standard teriyaki chicken, two tempura shrimp and a gyoza. The ratio of rice to meat was like 2:1 (I hate that), but most cheap teriyaki places will do this to save money to give you the illusion that you're getting a lot of food. Anyway, it wasn't the amount of food that bothered me, it was the quality. The chicken was dry (even with sauce), it felt like it was cutting my throat on the way down, all the fried pieces (tempura and gyoza) were fried at high heat with too much oil and the salad was so-so. Prices were normal, not too expensive for teriyaki ($5.99 for the special), but I expected to at least get good food for the price I paid. You could do better going to get teriyaki elsewhere. read more

I am a big fan of the Hot & Sour Soup....it reminds me of a liquidy bibimbop...the owners are Korean btw....nice spice/heat flare going on here. Love the addition of a whole egg and broccoli in the soup....it's spicier than traditional Chinese style, but wonderful for when you have a cold/flu. I had lunch there last week and gave the fried rice a try...had the beef and holy moley it was loaded! One thing's for sure, you won't be asking, "Where's the beef?" This is an independently owned shop...mom and pop...just the 2 of them...and they bust their butts big time! They are here 7 days a week..how I dunno...but they do put out a good and varied menu. Orange chicken, fresh from the rubber tree! I ordered the Orange chicken, and when it came out, it was swimming in at least a quarter inch of the orange sauce. Sometimes, less is more. This is one of those times. But, i figured, what the hell, it's here, how bad could it be? See, the thing about dishes like orange and other saucy servings is this: each piece of meat should be big enough that when you cook it, it can take the heat and maintain its chicken like qualities. When they are chopped as small as they were on this plate, and thrown into a clearly too hot pan, they transform into little rubbery nuggets akin to gizzards. First time I've been to this location in probably 2 years... and they have definitely lost a step. Manna in general, has been my favorite chain of teriyaki joints around Seattle. I was very disappointed to see that their meat/rice ratio is way wack now. They have cut back their serving of meat by a 1/3 and replaced it with more rice.... very disappointing. The teriyaki glaze they use is still very good though. It's slight thicker than other joints around the city, and is slightly sweeter as well. **In comparison, the Greenwood location has always had better service and a better product than the Lake City spot** read more

Best teriyaki in the North End. My fave for sure is the yakisoba. Noodles are done correctly (not soggy, like most places) and a good balance of sauce, meat, vegetables, and noodles. Portions are substantial - I get two lunches out of one order of yakisoba. Service is speedy and reliable. I eat there every week and I've never had a bad meal. Staff is very friendly and price is right (for Seattle - I can only imagine how much their rent has gone up in the past 5 years but their prices have stayed the same.) Live very close by. The reviews is what brought me here. So glad I did! Ordered three different orders, orange chicken, chicken fried rice, and the regular chicken teriyaki. Teriyaki is offered in two sizes. Large size was about 10ish but was enough for two meals! Great portions and I think the price is reasonable. The first time I came here, I had a really great experience. My food came out to me pretty quickly & it was tasty to boot! This time around, I brought my friend to try it out as well, but I was sorely disappointed. When we ordered, there were only 2 people ahead of us, so we figured the wait wouldn't be long and decided to dine in. What a mistake that was. I ordered first, but my friend's order came out before mine, which wasn't a problem, except they'd made it to go instead of the dine in option we'd asked for. Still not too much of a problem - pretty easy to write off as a simple accident. That's we ran into the longest wait I've ever had at a teriyaki place. At least 5 people that had ordered after me (a couple of them with larger orders) got their food first & after an hour of waiting and repeating my order to the cashier, I finally received my food. I love this place! My husband and I order from here at least once a month when neither of us feels like cooking and are never disappointed! We have our food delivered via one of 2 services, and it invariably arrives nice and fresh and hot, and the quality and quantity of the chicken in our teriyaki orders is amazing! That is our standard order, and we love it so much, we've yet to try anything else. I will confess that I tried a couple other places over the past few years when offered a BOGO or an offer I couldn't refuse, but we've invariably been disappointed - other places never seem to trim the chicken as carefully, or don't burnish the outside as perfectly (or at all), or their sauce is too sweet, or too thin, or not enough, or their salad is "wet" with lame dressing, or the rice isn't fluffy and sticky (an amazing feat!), but blah, so these guys get everything right every time and area always quick and it's alway a great value. Great place! Very prompt service, very friendly staff. They will make dishes that aren't on the menu if asked - my wife (who's vegan) always orders tofu teriyaki, and they are always happy to oblige. The Yaki-Soba is some of the best EVER!! That may be my naive soba taste buds speaking, if so then the portion definitely makes up for it. I am a big eater and I can't even finish the plate. The rice is excellent as well fresh and not to dry or mushy. However I am comparing this to the Yaki-Soba's I had in Missouri and the restaurants there used spaghetti noodles most of the time. Parking is right in front. Small lot, but worth the effort to find a space. Ordered Chicken Teriyaki and dined in. The portion sizes were impressive. The chicken was tender and moist, sliced thinly and dressed with a teriyaki glaze offering just the right hint of acidic and sweet. The rice was very good, larger size than expected and perfectly accompanied by a warm cabbage salad with julienne carrots and broccoli. The flavor of the warm salad goes GREAT with the bold teriyaki flavor. I ordered a Mango Madness Snapple, and ice water. I didn't drink the Snapple until after I ate because the terrific teriyaki flavor is best undiluted, so you can really enjoy the fullness of it. The staff was very welcoming and kind. The restaurant seems well-established and the simple decor doesn't distract from the great quality of the food and excellent service. My dining experience was Superior and I plan to make regular visits now, as the location is on Lake City Way, and easy to get to. Five minutes from Northgate Mall. Teriyaki, and then shopping. Recently I had my lunch orders to go couple of times as my co-workers recommended here. I SUPER DUPER LOVE this place. They are friendly all the time, the portion is huge and perfectly tasty. I like thier combo menu and speically crazy about chicken and gyoza..yum yum!! Beef short ribs and fried rice with chicken are also good.. They have so many delicious dishes so that it's always hard to make one choice! Their meat is very tender and well cooked. Also you should give bubble tea a try!! But the food: first of all Tofu Teriyaki that has a very thick breading/coating that had little nubs in it. It was overcooked and tasteless with a hoisin-like dip. The steamed rice was gluey and overcooked. For an appetizer I ordered the spring rolls, which were okay, but a little overcooked. The veggies and prawn tempura were greasy and did not taste good. Salad was bland but edible, if you like iceberg lettuce alone. Kimchi did not taste good either. Major disappoint. Delivery was fast and friendly. I don't really have any experiences to compare it to, as I have never been in one of these Teriyaki places that seem to be so popular in the NW before, but I freaking loved what I ordered to go from here last night: Spicy Chicken. It is instantly a new favorite! It was so spicy and and delicious! The chicken was red in color from all the chili-garlic sauce they used. It was one of those rare experiences, when you eat something very hot and it's painful, but exhilarating because it's so tasty. A lot like Indo-Chinese food for those that have had it. The place is clean and modest, and I appreciate it that they have brown rice as a sub for those that want it. The boiled cabbage as a side with my dish was new for me, and I loved it, the sulfury mildness of the veggie paired with the heat of the chicken was a great combo. Will definitely be back. read more
