I love this place so much! There is a new vegan dish on the menu, it has been replaced. They used to have vegan cheese enchiladas but they don't have it anyone. They have spinach enchiladas topped with grilled vegetables now. I was nervous about it, but omg they were amazing! I loved the proper dish, but this was amazing also! It came with a side of green rice. Such a filling dish, I was only able to eat half because there was so much. We were given a free bag of chips and salsa. There was only one mishap, they initially gave me a different dish, but I let them know and they made my dish instantly and gifted me from empanadas dessert. Came here with a large group for dinner. The weather was great so they sat us on the patio. As the sun set though, there was no lighting outside so it made it pretty difficult to see when eating. I got the strawberry frozen margarita and the El Tradicional meal. The marg was great and they spruce them up to look very cute. My meal was filling and overall okay. Presentation was not the best. I was able to gal home leftovers. Our server was great! Always had the chips and salsa refilled throughout the night and split our check 10 ways without even asking. Nice ambiance, enjoyed the Christmas music, and seemed like an authentic Mexican food experience. The food was very salty (got cheese enchiladas) and the chips were hard, even stale. The menu online said lunch specials were $12, but their prices have recently increased to $14. In the bathroom and in parts of the restaurant I noticed quite a few fruit flies/gnats. I was initially impressed with the very impressive and authentic salsa and chips, and was equally impressed with the simple but very good crispy chicken tacos served with refried beans and rice. We had a fantastic time at Mannys for my boyfriend's birthday! The service was top-notch, (Guillermo was a great server ask for him), the atmosphere was just what we wanted. I didn't know they had outdoor seating, next time I visit I have to sit on the patio to enjoy the weather. A family favorite for us! We love dining in and getting take out! The food is delicious tex-mex. Queso blanco and table side guac are our go tos. I have come to appreciate Manny's food more in recent days. They are doing great in that regard. It's always hot, and the enchiladas actually have something in them, unlike my lifelong go to up on 75 in Plano. And I love the spinach enchiladas covered in mixed veggies with ranchera sauce. A reasonably healthy dish! On the downside, the evening hostess needs to up her game in the "friendly" department, and the wait service is either great or lackluster. Visited on a Friday for happy hour with a couple coworkers and my sister. We were seated right away away a table and chips and salsa were brought shortly after to each of us. We placed our drink orders, waters and a beverage, frozen mango margarita for me. As we waited for our last guest we talked over chips, salsa, and drinks. Once the final member came, we ordered the sunset queso and tableside gucamole. I've never had spicy queso but that sunset queso was absolutley amazing. I couldn't stop eating it. The gucamole was ok, needed some seasoning. After munching on chips and dips for about an hour, we finally ordered food, lol. I went with the half veggie quesadillas, my sister went with the veggie fajitas, my coworker ordered the full shrimp quesadillas, and my manager ordered spinach enchiladas, one with sunset queso. We also each ordered another drink. We all enjoyed our meals with the exception of the veggie fajitas lol. They were under seasoned. She asked for some Tajin and said that helped. My veggie quesadillas could've maybe used a little more seasoning but overall I was happy with my meal. Staff was nice and we had a good time.
