One of the WORST brunch experiences ever! The noise level was beyond loud. It was scream at the top of your lungs loud. We were a party of 3 and the person sitting across the table could not participate in the conversation because of the noise level. The food was decent, however, for the cost there are many restaurants in the area that provide the same level of experience without the ear bleeding sound level. The sad part is the service was very good. Unfortunately, there is an added "employee benefit" fee added to the bill. Went again this past Friday, Serenity was awesome! All of the food was delicious and it was a nice experience but I was very disappointed to see the dress code was not being enforced and it was definitely busy enough that it could've been. Lots of men in tshirts and shorts. Part of the reason I love Maple and Ash is because I don't feel overdressed, I love dressing up and 9/10 I'm completely overdressed, the dress code isn't difficult...pants and a collared shirt...If you're paying the prices of the food you should definitely be able to afford that. read more

The ambiance is lovely, the staff's service was perfect, and above all the food was incredible. I've been eyeing up this place since it opened and was so excited when hubby said he was booking it for us. When we arrived, the hostess told us that they couldn't seat us where my husband wanted unfortunately because they had a big holiday party. Said they wanted to text him but couldn't - I was confused, couldn't they have called? Oh well, not a big deal. We were a little disappointed but the disappointment did not last very long. Our server, Devon, was a delight. She was personable, professional and very attentive. We were greeted with some lemony vodka cocktail - shaken at the table. Nice way to start a meal. We both ordered the "I don't give a f*@k" and it was amazing. It may not be amazing for picky eaters because I was telling my colleagues about our meal and one person did not like 2 of the courses in the meal. 1. We had 2 oysters, topped with Siberian caviar atop shots of vodka 2. Seafood tower (not sure which one) but when we were halfway done with it, the server came over with some sort of lemony pasta and added it to the pan - delish with the flavors of the seafood tower! 3. Wedge salad - my husband loves a good wedge salad and this was it. I'm not a fan of bleu cheese (so I guess I did give a f*@K) but I didn't see a point in sending it back so I just pushed the bleu cheese crumbles to the side. The bacon pieces in the salad were so good, I dreamt of snacking on a bowl of them. 4. Hamachi Crudo - I'm a big fan of yellowtail. It's my go-to fish when I go out for sushi and this was executed nicely at a steakhouse. 5. Main entrees: ribeye (cooked medium-rare) and the dover sole. Sides included mashed potatoes, asparagus (with the skin shaved off so that earned brownie points with me), and Ricotta Agnolotti (a.k.a. "Pillows of Love"). The Pillows of Love were amazing. AMAZING. Just wanted to point it out in case you read over that sentence. 6. Sundae Service - this was the dessert. They get their ice cream from Sweet Republic (which serves the best ice cream in Scottsdale) so I knew it was going to be good. Devon surprised us with the Sundae Service. She offered to box up a dessert for us since we were full but I told her I always had room for dessert. She said she could get us a dessert on the lighter side - I don't remember what I said, but my answer was basically no. When the Sundae Service arrived, we were so happy - felt like little kids again. Devon was fantastic - made us feel so welcome and special for our anniversary celebration. I'll start off by stating, my boyfriend and I ate here for my birthday dinner in 2021 and my experience was really great. We went yesterday for my birthday dinner thinking my experience would be similar and I was left feeling really down. Before the hostess went to have us seated, she said I would need to wear a shawl to cover my bottom area because my dress showed my butt. My dress was a formal long, black lace gown that was lined with a black bodysuit lining that has straps and covered my bottom area. The dress had a high neckline and long sleeves. I was really taken aback and this made me feel very embarrassed. We've eaten at several fine dining establishments and I've never had this experience. I honestly did not want to continue with our reservation, but did not want to ruin the evening for my boyfriend either. I wore the shawl without making any comments or a scene. We were seated at the back of the restaurant near where servers place orders. I honestly felt so bad, I had tears in my eyes while we waited for our server. Our server was okay. I noticed he was more welcoming and chatty with the guests beside us celebrating an anniversary who arrived several minutes after we received our drinks. Because of the unwelcome feeling, I did not order appetizers or dessert for the evening. Towards the end of our meal, a blonde woman came to ask if I wanted to order dessert and I politely declined which is why I assume I did not get even get a small birthday treat of some sort as I did last time we came. In 2021, I have a photo of me with desert and a candle. The food was fine, nothing extraordinary but the overall experience from checking in and during dining really put a damper on my birthday dinner. We will definitely not be coming back to this restaurant again. Suggestion: If you're going to do this to patrons, ensure a manager is sent to the table to at least check on the individual and ask what can they do to ensure their experience is great. My first time dining at Maple & Ash was a memorable one! This restaurant was highly recommended by a few colleagues and it lived up to the hype. I arrived at opening 5pm, reservations are strongly encouraged! While waiting to be seated, the hostess asked if I wanted a pre dinner drink and a tour of the restaurant! Yes and YES! It's such a cool vibe, decorated perfectly for a romantic dinner with dim lighting. For starters I ordered the Fork and Knife Caesar salad, wood fried which added a different texture to the lettuce, for my entree I ordered an 'off menu' selection, scallop dish. The scallops were well seasoned, lightly grilled, and served with a buttery base, all perfectly delicious. The server was attentive and friendly. I will definitely recommend this restaurant. Ive hit all the spots, mastros, bourbon and bones, dominicks, binkleys, flemings, etc. This is the place to go for special occasions, it is far and away better than any of the other higher end restaurants in town and the only one that is truly worth the money. Really crazy place. This place brags of eloquent service, BUT DOESN'T inform its customers that there is a maximum of four payments per table, UNTIL they're going to pay the check. Our server was pretty much an a-hole. You'd think that if we're tipping $300 on a $1500 tab (plus the undocumented 55 dollar "staff benefit"), that they'd be better. They poorly placed our table for 12, and instead of figuring out a better location, asked (in arm chairs) to just get really close. All in all, such a bummer. We ordered two seafood towers, yellow tail crudo, beef tartare waygu steak, corn and fries. Seafood tower was a bit over cooked but flavor was there, we had the first one come out as an appetizer, and the second one come out at the end, but we were so full, we had them pack it up. BUT THEY F*CKING FORGOT TO PACK IT UP, so $50 of SEAFOOD WENT MISSING, then I tried to call, as soon as I got home and couldn't get to voicemail, so I left a a message on their reservation line. I REALLY HOPE they have cameras throughout the establishment, to show how I only ate a piece of the crab leg, then had asked to pack up the rest, AND LET ME KNOW where the hell the rest of my Seafood Tower went!!! Crudo was good the first two bites then it was Blah. Waygu, came out, cooked to the right temp but it definitely did NOT have that snakeriver farm wagyu cut texture, where it's nice and velvety as it hits the tongue, truly disappointing. They offered what was suppose to be like a CAP piece of a ribeye, but it was only alright. Corn was delicious but the half that my son did not finish THEY ALSO DID NOT PACK UP, even after having a whole discussion over how we wanted to keep the rest. Beef Tartare I thought was pretty decent but wasn't phenomenal, like what our server had said, lacked in a few areas. Fries were fries, my son didn't really care for them. I forgot to add, they let us try a complimentary "pillows of love dish" and they may be the best thing I've tasted there. Delicious. It was nice of them to give my son some ice cream for dessert, a menu that said happy birthday and special virgin cocktail for him. But other than that, I really want my MONEY BACK for my second seafood tower, and I DO NOT MEAN a gift card to their establishment either. Oh and the water for the table was constantly empty unless we asked someone for water, and I would say our server was decently knowledgeable, not very attentive, and definitely needs more training. I AM LIVID! I'm sure this place will stay open due to mediocracy, but if you TRULY want a good steak, service, experience and food... It required leaning to the middle of the table and yelling to barely hear each other. Fire Roasted Seafood Tower, we ordered the "Pro" size which gives you a little bit more of each items that included half maine lobster tail, scallops, wild blue prawns, oysters, manila clams, wild alaskan crab legs. This is all topped in a garlic butter sauce. Scallops, shrimp, lobster and crab legs were excellent, the clams and oysters were okay. 28 day Dry Aged Bone In Ribeye which is 22 oz comes sliced we ordered ours a medium rare which is cooked over wood fire of maple and ash. The meat is very tender and tasty, was a good choice. Yukon Gold Gratin was like a scallop style potato dish with a crust of cheese on top. Would skip. Food is excellent, service was top notch, the ambiance is much too loud, to hipster to be scene atmosphere. Would suggest a separate area that has just a more quiet relaxful setting for people that want to have a nice serene dinner instead of leaning into the table yelling at each other for conversation and having a thumping sub woofer blaring in your ear all night. Leaving the restaurant was similar to coming out of a loud concert and having your ears adjust for a couple minutes. I rate the steak and seafood tower as a 4.5, the ambiance loud blaring sound as a 1, that is why I will rate this restaurant a 3. They do take your temp when you arrive, wearing a mask in during Covid is necessary (annoying to me but whatever, Im eating out so I will deal) They have free valet right in front ( if you for some reason you do not have cash for a tip, who carries cash anymore - you can tip them through their app - No one in the restaurant knew this so I thought I would share this nugget) Our server was on top of us immediately which I thought was fabulous and he offered us a complimentary drink. Pretty good restaurant. Went to celebrate a birthday and they made a customized menu with the birthday boy's name on it, so that was pretty special. Got the seafood tower and the wedge as starters. Wedge was good and the seafood tower was pretty fancy, but didn't have any amazing flavor to it; just a nice char. The most recent experience we had this week blew us away. The atmosphere is so on point here - if you have any big city appreciation in you, you will love it. First of all, Jeff our server took the dining experience to another level. The story he shared of the owner/chef and his connection to AZ and Chicago was fascinating. Paired with his unique Maple&Ash wood cooking style, I'm a huge fan. If every waiter or waitress took the kind of pride that Jeff did, the world would be a better place! If you are looking for a recommendation, the absolute musts are any version of the seafood tower and the pasta dishes. The roasted seafood tower is buttery perfection and paired with the fire-roasting, it is to die for. A must is adding in the pasta option which comes so al-dente it is just insanely spectacular. I have not had better pasta ever in AZ - try the Ricotta Agnolotti and thank me later. Some other items we had the pleasure of trying the two times we've gone were the Bone in ribeye with a full lobster and beefed up butter, asparagus, Caesar salad, whipped potatoes, baked & loaded potato and the mushrooms. I'm not sold on the ribeye mainly because I think it was a little tough both times med-rare, but the flavor was outstanding. I would also pass on the mushrooms and caesar for something else. For desert the sundae service was a perfect and fun way to settle the stomach after a very rich meal. Outside of the food, the cocktails are on point. If you are a tequila lover, the Devil Woman is spectacular (even for guys - not too sweet). Everything from the decor, the service, the food and drinks were outstanding. Our table ordered the NY strip (my friend said it was better than the steak he ordered at Bouchon in Vegas), steak and frites, ricotta agnolotti , mac and cheese, asparagus and au gratin potatoes. The steak and frites was melt in your mouth tender and the fries were perfectly cooked, crisp and soft at the same time. The ricotta agnolotti melted in your mouth and was just exquisite. The mac and cheese was rich and flavorful with the perfect cheese pull. I didn't think asparagus could shine on it's own like it did, but with the flavors and textures put in to this dish, it was a star side for sure. The au gratin potatoes were also very good. The cocktails we ordered were: Lady in Black (smoky Mezcal), Wasted Time (complex and layered in flavors), Attitude Adjustment (nicely balanced) and the old fashioned (classic and spot on). I have left over 200 reviews on Yelp, and this will sadly be the second time I ever leave a 1 star review. Visited here a few days ago with a group of friends. Extremely beautiful inside and I was obsessed with the decor and vibes. Trendy and elegant! After being seated, our server, Dana, immediately greeted us and wanted to get the party started. She gave us a round of free shots and was overall very friendly and fun. She went around the table and wrote down on a piece of paper what each girl was ordering for drinks and food...Everything went downhill from there. Apps for the table arrived. Everyone was eating except for me and 2 other girls because we were never given plates or utensils and we couldn't get a hold of anyone. Drinks start to arrive and again my drink and another girls drink is mia. Not exaggerating It took close to 20min for my drink to arrive. Entrees are now coming to the table. Two entrees were missing so we eventually ask her when it will be coming out. Eventually she brings more food over and it is not what we ordered. NO ONE ordered it. Only one person ordered salmon yet they brought out 2 additional salmon entrees and 2 additional octopus. The tuna tartare and short rib bolognese never came out and we eventually told her to please cancel the order because the wait time was absurd. We informed Dana that there's been a mistake and only one person ordered salmon not 3 and we also did not order 2 wood fired octopus. Everyone is eating their entrees at this point so I am not sure why we would order 4 more full entrees. She lets out a big sigh and makes a comment as if we did order this food and we are crazy. Manager comes to our table and we explain the situation. Not one person touched the 2 extra salmon and octopus dishes. We all left it alone because no one ordered it. He came over said he understood and we would not be charged for the extra food. A lot of time goes by and I am finished eating my entree. Dana comes over to move my plate, make room and put the cold salmon no one ordered in front of me. I reminded her that no one ordered this salmon and I just ate my full entree. It was a hot mess and we didn't understand when everyone's order was written down on a piece of paper. Why would our party order 4 additional entrees? Bill comes and it was very confusing. We saw the 4 additional entrees on the bill, but the bottom also mentioned a $150 discount. After paying for the bill, we realized the $150 discount was for the free round of shots and the $100 gift card. We paid for the 4 additional entrees no one ordered and no one ate. What a waste of money. It was absolutely ridiculous. The manager personally came to our table and said we would not be charged, but we were. I really wish my experience here was great because it is a beautiful venue and the food we DID order was absolutely delicious. Entrees were amazing, but the sides honestly blew me away. I loved the black truffle loaded potato, brussel sprouts and fire crisped Shishito peppers. The fact we paid for 4 additional entrees no one ate or even ordered is what makes me upset. Forgetting plates, utensils, drinks, tuna tartara, bolognese is annoying but not the end of the world. We finished with the buttery rum cake with vanilla ice cream and it was divine!! This tasting menu was outstanding every dish was delicious and served by professionals!! The restaurant has a great vibe and the services was excellent as it should be for this price! I appreciated the waiter bring out complimentary drink because the kitchen was back up! As for as the food I would say it is very good I just don't know if I would say it's worth the price! But overall a good experience. read more

Went here for my 25th birthday. Food was amazing and the service was spectacular. Everything was seasoned perfectly. The oysters were so fresh and i highly recommend this Octopus dish. I steak was over cooked but our server noticed and got it fixed right away. The chef came out and gave us a free side for the mistake. read more

My husband surprised me for our 10 year anniversary. The server was amazing, all the staff that were involved were amazing!!!!! We were always being checked on, service was supurb...
