We visited this spot for my bday. The wait wasn't long at all. The music was really loud. My order ending up being wrong which I didn't notice until after I left. I asked for no cheese but my burger had cheese on it. So I didn't get to try the marathon burger ultimately. My friend and I witnessed one of the employees handle cash and then handle the fries. They refunded her and was compliant in making things right so that's a plus for customer service and resolving conflicts so I'm gonna give them 3 stars for that. idk why I didn't check my order but maybe it was a blessing in disguise that I didn't consume the burger given there's a possibility of improper sanitation and cross contamination may be present. Like hit the counter throwing his head back and it was just not a good experience. Firstly I want to congratulate Samiel for opening a successful business to continue his brothers Ermias aka Nipsey Hussle's legacy with this new rendition. Even though I'm a fan, I was not a fan of this burger joint at all. It's on one of the most busiest streets in LA with no parking and nowhere near the people who supported him most. Just walking over, there was a completely naked man with only his shoes on. The inside is so tiny everyone is shoulder to shoulder, and they only have barstool seating available, good luck trying to eat your food there. The menu is extremely tiny, hardly legible, I had to look online just to see what I wanted while in line. Customer service was on point, starting with security who greets you, all the way to the register where they take your order and the counter to receive your food. All in all we ordered 2 OG burger combos w fries, 1 blueberry lemonade and 1 vanilla shake with a 12 piece wings. When ordering lemon pepper you have to choose a sauce and they add lemon pepper seasoning on top, you cannot just order plain lemon pepper wings so we got honey bbq. Everything was $53 and took about 30 minutes but at least they got the order right. They originally had the marathon burger on Slauson/Crenshaw replacing the fat burger but quickly switched locations, I can definitely say I didn't come for the hype but as a connoisseur of burgers, I'm always interested in the next best thing. The vanilla shake had entirely too much milk to ice cream ratio, there was so much liquid you would've thought it melted but it was just so much milk that the ice cream was non existent. My first impression of the burger was that it looked good and I opened my mouth as wide as I could so I could get a giant first bite and by the time I swallowed, I said aloud "this tastes like a burger I've had before" trying to put my finger on it when my friend says "it tastes like any home made burger, any burger that you would eat at somebodies house" and I couldn't agree more nothing stood out about this burger, if you're looking for something that reminds you of home then here you go but for the price I can't justify it. The fries were probably the worst out of everything, how are you making "fresh fries" in an open kitchen but they still taste stale? It's like they double fry or double cook them, or maybe fry them and leave them out and fry them again to warm them up? either way the texture was awful. Finally the wings were gross too, because you have to mix a sauce to get lemon pepper, they smother the wings in so much sauce where you're getting globs of it in your mouth, and then you'll get an overwhelming amount of salty/sour lemon pepper on random parts of the wings because they are not fully coated, they just sprinkle it on, it's like playing Russian roulette with every bite. Overall this casual restaurant is not worth the hype, the price, the drive or the wait. None of the above, I feel bad for all the other reviews who waited 3-4 hours for such a basic meal. Came through to see what all the hype was about. We ordered our food and were told that our wait time would be about 35 mins. So we just waited inside, and observed the process. After some time we started getting impatient, but waited, since others who had ordered prior to us, hadn't received their order yet either. A while later some dude (staff) goes on the mic and says "this isn't mcdonald's". blah blah blah. To reiterate that the process would take additional time. We check the time after we see others coming and getting their food after we ordered, and were approx. 1.5 hours into our wait. So we come up to the counter and ask about our food. The security guard approaches us, and asks us what we're doing and I tell him it's been a while and we're checking on our order. I tell him it's been an hour and a half, and he responds with that they had a big catering order just come in. "So be patient with us". I sure would like to understand his thought process, because why? Why would you expect me to continue to wait and not follow up with my order, after that much time has passed? But he looked at us like we're being an inconvenience. When we were finally exhausted from waiting we asked for a refund. That's when they started looking into our order. They told us they were still waiting on our chicken. And that it had ran out. For at least an hour of waiting, I could see chicken coming out of that frying basket. My thought process leads me to believe, that our order got bumped, when they received their online catering order. Why? It's because they didn't seem to have an efficient process. Take some notes from Mcdonald's. It would seriously help. You don't just send someone else's order to the backlog, when you get in a larger order. Must have been the greed index shooting up. The staff was rude and didn't want to have any engagement about why customers weren't receiving their orders, after waiting for so long. One lady even got into a full blown argument. After getting our food, In our minds, we were like, this better hit once we tear into it. Waiting close to two hours right? Food came out, burgers were cold, since they had been sitting out for so long. Fries were dry, cold, and difficult to chew, very overcooked. Chicken wings were small and salty AF and overcooked. Overall, terrible service, mediocre food. Horrendous wait time. There's other establishments that are worth it IMO. I would rather be in the In and out drive through than be here. I've never had FTW and I tried them the next day. IT WAS FIRE! We wanted to support a local community establishment. But this one killed it for me. The lady at the counter could not manage her stress and lacked emotional intelligence, and customer service. I'm grown, and like my peace, so I'm not confrontational. But she was really trying me. As an adult we go through a lot of experiences with food establishments, so we know what our expectations are when we go out to eat, in regards to our customer service experience. Thank god I had a strong woman next to me (my wife) to keep me calm. Thanks for the food. Not worth the $85. We ate about half of it. One of us gave it a 4/10. They utilize the outdoor patio for dining instead of the interior, so keep the weather in mind if you plan on eating onsite. The restaurant also provided music to help keep the vibe easygoing. The burger is best described as an upscale version of a McDonald's cheeseburger despite including Fresno peppers and a secret sauce. It's undoubtedly better quality than the Golden Arches, but the combination of American cheese with ketchup and mustard brought me back to that distinct taste from my childhood. While the burger was pretty good, I didn't feel the same about the fries. They're shoestring-style, which is excellent, but some were soggy, and some were crisp. What threw me off about them was the seasoning. There was way too much, and it wasn't clear what taste they wanted. The next time I go, I'll see if they can just salt them and hope for a better experience. Overall, I had a decent meal. However, it wasn't worth the $20 price tag. In-N-Out and Shake Shack are better and cost less. And other local chains that are at a similar price provide a better quality meal. It causes confusion with the people ordering and waiting. The inside is chaotic. It is small and the music is loud. Now to the food. The staff members 100/10: A1 customer service, professional, polite, attentive - you truly feel like you're in a family owned diner. The menu options are great!! In addition to Beef burgers they have a vegan burger & seafood (shrimp)!! The vegan burger looks home-made by the way, not previously frozen. The fries are lightly seasoned & cooked to order when your other items are ready. I really appreciate that because a lot of "other" chains don't take pride in delivering a freshly made meal. Flavor is absolutely there 12/10!! The ambience is inviting, light and makes you want to grab a seat & enjoy your meal there. The music choice is great!! You're definitely vibing while you're eating, almost impossible not to chat with the person next to you. There's plenty of seating inside and out. Also!! The Marathon burger is very tasty I love the peppers on the burger it gives it a little spicy flavor. The blue lemonade is on the sweet side fyi but it's fire nonetheless. The hot wings are fire as well. The fries are too soft imo but I'll return to try the shrimp, smash burger and try to order my fries fried longer. There is a 20-30 minute wait for the food so if you have the time and not in a rush I highly recommend the Marathon burger, hot wings and blue lemonade. TMC read more

After seeing all the long lines on weekends I got "lucky" and walked by when there were only a couple of people in line. Ordered fairly quickly and sat at the counter and WAITED. Immediately regretted coming in. I get that they need to be fast, but looked over and the had a tray of already cooked burgers sitting in filth. Crumbs of burger and onions. Getting nice and cold. Even worse they were making huge batches of fries and just piling them up. No effort to keep the oldest in front. Even saw the throwing a few of the hotter fries on top of old ones! Really considered just asking for a refund and leaving. As expected, got a cold batch of overseased junk. The cold burger was full of the ketchup that I ask to be removed.
