Horrible service. Sunday night and no reason for over 1.5 he wait. Especially when the estimate 55 minutes upon ordering

Ordered 2 pizzas from Marcos at 4100 S. Ridge in McKinney at 8:15 PM on Friday, September 22, 2023. Marco's employee said the pizzas would be ready for pickup at 8:55 PM. Arrived at Marcos at 8:50 to pickup pizzas and saw a Marcos employee in the neighboring vape shop with 2 girls. As I walked in the MArcos, the other 2 employees were on their phones, not making any pizza at all. I asked for my order and they said they didn't have any open orders. I got back in my car and called the same Marcos number, which was in reality the store I just left, and was told on the phone that they are really busy and pizzas now wouldn't be ready until 9:30. I went back in the Marcos at 9:20 and was told the pizzas havent been started yet. When I mentioned I was in 20 minutes ago and no pizzas were being made and now no pizzas were being made, an employee named "jordan" said he was the manager had deferred the order. Interestingly, Jordan the "manager" was the same employee in the vape shop a few minutes before. The "manager" told me if I wanted to complain he would take care of it and there was no reason to complain with Marcos HQ. The entire time I was in the store, the employees weren't making any pizzas, just hanging out on their phones. The "manager" said if I wanted to wait, they would start making the pizzas, and this is now 9:25. No oversight, supervision or quality control at this Marcos !! Go to one of many other good pizza places in the area. read more

Our go to for Friday night carry out pizza! We LOVE the Pepperoni Magnifico, thin crust. We don't have to add extra anything! It always comes loaded with cheese and pepperoni (we are addicted to the old world pepperoni curly, crunchy yumminess). Pizza is ready fast and on time! We order via the app and pick up. Never ever order from here. This place is a hot mess. Use the store on Virgina it has excellent service. Ridge, sub par at best. If there was a star less than zero that's what this place would get. Ordered online as usual every Thursday though to myself, self, just order from Ridge it will be close to where you are. I will never order here again. I started ordering Marco because we love the one in The Colony and moved to Mckinney. After waiting about 2 hours for my pizza to come I finally called, I was trying to be patient due to Covid. I was told they only have 1 driver and asked if I want to pick it up. They are 5 minutes from my house so sure I don't mind. The guy on the phone said we will remake them fresh they will be ready in 15-20 minutes. I said ok and hung up 10 minutes later as I'm about to walk out the house he calls back and says his manager said I would have to wait an hour. Up until this point I have been patient now you want my family to wait 3 hours. So they said they would refund my order guess what no refund so now looks like I'm going to have to dispute it. Customer service to me is everything and this was very poor on their behalf. I will not be ordering from this location ever again. read more

Only giving one star because I have to. I placed an order for delivery and was given an hour for delivery time. I called after an hour and 20 minutes and was told "it's being made still." I said the tracking says it should've been here in an hour. I was told sorry we have one cook we have one driver we have over 200 orders.... every excuse in the book. I was then placed on hold when I asked if I could come pick up my pizza. Then was told we cancelled your delivery. And I said when can I come pick it up then? And he said uhhhh? I came in to order a pizza during halftime of the Cowboys Game. Shortly after I placed the order and the pizza was in the oven... lighting struck and shut down the system and my pizza was going to take a long time before it was ready. Jason was very apologetic and upgraded my pizza to a large and gave it to me on the house. Jason provided excellent customer service and I will definitely eat here again! The service sucks, ordered food and arrived at the time pick up would be ready. They told us the order wasn't ready and would bring it out as soon as it was ready. 20 minutes later my wife walked in to find out what was the delay and the employees are sitting there eating while my food sat on the rack waiting. Well, my wife and I decided to stop for a pizza this evening at this Marco's location and they were busy but decided to order anyway. I placed the order and I asked the young man who took my order how long for 1 XL All-Meat Pizza and 20 wings (35.94) and he stated 35 minutes. I thought that was quite long but I understand it is Friday night and alot of orders were coming in. We said ok and waited in the lobby. Another gentleman came in about 10 minutes after we did and was waiting also. After 45 minutes and no pizza and a young lady who asked my name and would check my order and never said anything back to me, I decided to ask how long. I waited 4 minutes for the young man to even acknowledge that I was at the counter. When I asked he looked and then when to speak with another lady, whao happen to ha e a red name tag with Miranda on it, then he came back, looked at the register again, then went back to speak to the same lady, then came back, when I asked what is going on, and he stated my order was "suspended " and didn't understand why it was "suspended". I said then what is the next step and he said we can make your order now and it would take about 10 minutes or we can refund your money. No apology or any compensation for my time of waiting an hour for an order I placed an hour earlier. He then ask "Miranda" to come speak with me and she stated the same thing. The gentleman who came and waited after us also asked and they told him his order was "suspended " also with the same resolution of do the order or refund of money. This is the most unacceptable form of customer service there is!!! I spend my time and my money before a storm is about to come and you tell me my order was accidentally "suspended ". Hey mistakes happen, I understand, BUT people come to your business establishment after working all day to spend money at your establishment and you accidentally "suspend" my order and don't even have the "intellect" to apologize is ridiculous or to say "I'm sorry this happened, let me at least do a partial refund and maybe give you a 2 Liter for your wait (which my time is more expensive then that)", this is CUSTOMER SERVICE 101!!!! NEVER EVER GOING BACK TO THIS PLACE FOR ANYTHING! And I would suggest anyone else to wants to patronize this place double back and make sure your order is NOT "Suspended "!! It was my first time at this location and I was very satisfied with the food and the customer service. I had my curbside pick up set up at 12:30pm, I parked my car at the curbside at 12:36pm and the new GM Alex came out with my pizza without me calling them. Plus pizza was very good! This is the first time I've tried Marcos and their pizza is delicious and well made! The cheese was stringy the way I love it, they are generous with the toppings, their marinara was tasty and the cheesy bread had lots of cheese, Parmesan and garlic. Altogether wonderful. I don't recommend this pizza establishment. We arrived at 10:28pm expecting to order was late night pizza and dine in as they're open for the next 30 minutes. The establishment had already picked up all the dine in chairs and the employee said to us "you have 15 minutes to make an order" so we walked out and left due to the unfriendliness and false hours. read more

I will start by saying I have never had a bad pizza from Marcos. My issue is mainly with the lack of customer service. I ordered a small pizza. The order tracker said my order would ready at 7:42pm. I arrived at 7:45pm. There were 2 visible employees and no other customers. I gave my name and the young man said they were just now making my pizza. When I asked, "Just now?" He told me they had run out of cheese and had to get more. How do you run out of cheese at a pizza place? Boggles the mind. I asked how long it would take and was told 10 minutes. While waiting, 2 other customers came in. They waited also, but never heard them being told there was a cheese shortage. Finally, after about 30 minutes, the other 2 customers got their orders then my name was called. The bill was $11.36. I handed the young girl a $10 and $5. She looked in the cash drawer and told me she had no ones. I dug through my purse again and pulled out 2 ones. She took my ones, gave me my $5 and said thanks. No change offered or anything. I guess she assumed I was tipping or she didn't know how to make change. At this point I'm so tired and irritated, I just left. Again...the pizza is good, but customer service is abysmal. I don't eat pizza often, but when I do I will probably try somewhere else. read more

We had been reading good things about Marco's and ordered from this location not realizing there is another location on Virginia that has better ratings. We ordered two medium one toppings and Cheezy Bread for carryout. My husband went to pick it up. There was a man on the phone, and a couple of minutes later another employee came out of the restroom, never acknowledged my husband, and was just milling around behind the counter. Finally the man on the phone told my husband it would be just a second, and my husband pointed to our pizza and said, "That's my order right there." Then he put his call on hold and called to the other employee to help my husband. The pizza and Cheezy Bread was terrible. We got the regular hand tossed crust and it was way too thick with very little flavor. It had too much cheese that tasted weird, and the sauce was not evenly distributed onto the crust. The pepperoni tasted okay, but the meatball pizza was barely edible. The meatballs were dry and gristly and didn't taste seasoned. The Cheezy Bread was very thick and some parts of it were undercooked. The garlic topping was clumped heavily onto some parts of the bread but other sections were dry. If we give Marco's another try we'll be going to the Virginia Pkwy location. read more

I ordered a 15 piece wing for my 9 year old son and by the time they got to us (almost an hour later) they were ice cold and I had to microwave them for 2 minutes just so they'd be edible. When I called the store I was told there would be a credit placed on my account as I didn't want to wait another hour to feed my son. I decided to give them another chance tonight and place another order only to be told that no such credit system exists and that corporate would be mailing me a voucher and was abruptly hung up on. I've ordered from this location multiple times with no issue, as has the rest of my family, but we will definitely not be using them again. read more

I ordered a pizza last night and it took 2 hours to get to my apartment which is less than a mile down the road they gave me a free pizza coupon to make up the mistake. I order a pizza the next day and they honor my coupon but it takes an hour to make they said it would take 15 minutes till it was ready when I got off the phone, when I got to the store 20 minutes later they had just put my order into the kitchen and when I approached the counter to pay they were rude, when they brought my pizza out of the kitchen they just dropped it on the table and didn't say anything and just gave me a dirty look and ignored my thank you have a good night I said.
