Brought my daughter here for her birthday because we are in the Arminian District and she loves Mediterranean food. Marouch did not disappoint. We started with the hummus, something my daughter doesn't t really like, but absolutely loved here. It's perfectly creamy. We also order the filet kabobs, with one beef and one lamb... both were cooked perfectly and the grilled veggies were just YUM! My daughter ordered the chicken kabobs that were so flavorful! We finished with a Lebanese coffee and some baklava and Lebanese ice cream. I can't say enough about how amazing the food is. The service was amazing. Our waitress was very helpful in explaining the menu. The atmosphere is beautiful. The outside of the restaurant does not do the inside justice. Just a beautiful place to have lunch. I ordered food from here based on reviews and a craving for kabobs. I got the mixed grill platter and a side of hummus. The only tasty thing was the rice in the platter and the hummus. The meats were okay, nothing stood out for me to ever eat from this place again. Another thing is that the food is expensive for the portions they give. read more

Tucked away in East Hollywood is Marouch, where you can indulge in Lebanese, Armenian and Middle Eastern cuisine. Last night's dinner was remarkable. From the many meze side orders to the fabulous entrées, Marouch delivers. For starters I had the Tabbouleh, made from crushed wheat, parsley, tomato and green onions seasoned with lemon juice and olive oil. It was extremely refreshing and crisp, obviously made daily. Next the Marouch Special with Hummas and Falafel came out. The falafel had the perfect combination of ground garbanzo and fava beans. The inside was cooked perfect and held together well while the outside was fried to a golden crispy brown. Lastly for appetizers, I had the Fatayer, or cheese turnover. Delicious cheese wrapped in wonton paper and fried. Yummy! Bob, our server was wonderful and described each dish in detail as it came out. It was lovely to hear how the food was prepared and its cultural origins. For entrées I had the Lahm Mishwi, or Shish Kabab, with tender cuts of seasoned,  charbroiled filet mignon and lamb, and the Shish Tawouk, or boneless, skinless, chicken cubes served over a bed of rice. The meats were fantastic - juicy, tender, well seasoned and delicious. Everything you'd want from a kabob. And the rice, ohmygoodness, the rice. It was out of this world. So good I cleared my plate!  My second entrée was the Ferry, or quail. I had two whole quails marinated and barbecued with creamy garlic sauce. That little bird was packed with flavor and presented beautifully. The seasoning was extraordinary and made for wonderful little morsels of meat. As a thank you for our visit we were gifted with a lovely bottle of wine on the owners behalf. Last night turned out to be a memorable, entertaining and fun experience. read more

It's difficult not to find hidden gems such as this restaurant at the heart of the city of Angels. Nevertheless, Marouch which is located in a tiny strip mall at a gritty corner of Santa Monica Blvd and Heliotrope with limited parking, is a gem among gems! Everything we ordered (and I suspect everything else on the menu) were spot-on delicious! We ordered the Meze for four and the Kebab combination. My family and I had an amazing time at Marouch! The outside doesn't look like much but the inside is more than pleasant to dine in. It's a family-owned restaurant with a very warm atmosphere and great service. The waiters are very attentive. The food was to die for. Flavorful and enough for the whole family. Their portions are large. You're eyes will probably be bigger than your stomach here. I recommend going here any day of the week. You won't be let down! Restaurants want to get you in and get you out, many times you just feel like a number or better yet a $$ sign. From the second we pulled up to Marouch, we were taken care of by Roman (the owner). Parking is very tight here, so Roman came out to guide us where to park and made sure we were all settled. As soon as we sat down at the table we were offered a bottle of wine he recommended. NOT an overpriced bottle that a restaurant would normally offer to upcharge you, but one that Roman felt was great (and it was). The food was really well done and clean tasting, as sometimes this style of food can be heavy with garlic or other spices. All through the meal we were checked on and had great conversations with everyone who worked here. We even stayed late since our group hadn't seen each other in a while and they never pressured us to leave. If you're looking for a wonderful meal with a wonderful experience - like you entered someone's home than come check it out. read more

I got Sick and got Covid so I couldn't go shop Meal prep and just felt over all lousy. Thankfully I remember Marouch has the best family plate so I ordered through Uber eats! Usually I worry about doing so because no matter how much I like places when you order through Uber eats something is bound to go Wrong. But to my surprise it all arrived just as I get when I eat in! I was able to have enough food for my whole week plus eat some today and the best thing is it tasted phenomenal!!!!! I pray they never change! We visited Marouch in Los Angeles. From the outside it looks like a small hole in the wall located in a small strip center. But this small hole in the wall packs a huge, delicious punch! We started off with a falafel/pita along with a side of hummus. The falafels were nice and crispy and went well with the hummus. We added Fattoush (Lebanese Salad) which was refreshing and cleansed the palate well. Our entree was the kebab combo with lamb and chicken. Served with BBQd veggies on a bed of flavorful rice, we wanted more! We added a side of baba ganoush which went well as a dip for the kebabs! I rate this 4/5 stars with great food and service. Love this place! Tried it out last weekend for the very first time! There was a large group of us and we were able to all sit in one large table! This place gave me family owned vibes. Everyone was so friendly. We were overwhelmed with the menu and our amazing waiter literally ordered everything for us! I've never seen so many variety dishes in one table. The appetizer was the meze combination for 6 I believe and let me tell you, we felt like royalty. One dish after another was coming out for us. All delicious! This order consisted of hummus, mtabal, tabbouleh, labneh, falafel, grape leaves, cheese fatayer, fattouch, ful mudammas, fried kibbeh, sugok, bastourma, and makanek. (I believe this is correct because I could not catch all the names of the plates coming out- had to get the listing from the menu) For the main dish we got the mixed grill! Not sure what they do with that rice, but even the rice was so good! Plenty let over and plenty flavor to satisfy everyone! The cutest thing is when they sang happy birthday to one of our girls! Fantastic. Went as a group and they immediately sat us and were extremely welcoming. We started with the maze platter, which was delicious and I was basically fighting my group to get to everything. Then we did a filet kebab plate and a mixed gyros plate, both were fantastic as well. Literally no complaints, if I lived here I would be here all the time. We had our sons graduation dinner here last night. It couldn't have been more perfect. It started with making the reservations with Rose, who helped me plan this with patience and kindness. I had to change the number of people and time a few times but she took it with a smile The outside is very unassuming but inside things come to live with the beautiful ambiance of Lebanon and music that was just the right volume that we can talk and hear each other. Was honestly quiet disappointed. Came on a Saturday night and there was no music and 1 server. We ordered appetizers but they came out 20 mins after the pita (pre made dips, cmon!) . Waited another 40 minutes for the filet mignon and chicken kebab to come out, both luke-warm, borderline COLD. COLD RICE! The entrees sat at the kitchen longer than we did. We were already 80% full from and waiting and nibbling on the pita. Very slow service. The filet mignon could've been good if it was served hot. Appetizers were fine but too bad they didn't come out the same time as the pita bread. Also the bill wasn't cheap for its mediocracy. Should've just gone to Glendale. read more

I came here for Mother's Day. I ordered the quail, and I must say that it is the best quail I have ever had, but the quail had very little meat and it was 27 dollars for very little meat. (It came with Pilaf rice, fries, and garlic sauce.) But the reason why I am giving it 2 stars is because I had a problem with the kitchen utensils, to be specific, the forks. The one I had was not washed properly. I asked for another fork, and the fork that was given to me was also not washed properly. I grabbed a fork that was on the next table, and the fork that I grabbed was also not washed properly (There was still dirt and residue of food right in between the forks.) I actually lost my appetite because of the forks were still filthy. Like seriously? That's disgusting!!! People use those forks to eat!!! I had no choice but to scrape the residue off with a knife. Sorry Marouch, but I definitely won't be coming back. PS: My mom ordered fattoush, which is a salad, and my mom questioned if it was fattoush that she was eating because the one she eats has salad greens in it. (She knows what fattoush is because she's mixed with Lebanese). However, the fattoush she ate just has cucumber, parsley, and pita chips (and I think it might've had olive oil). My mom told the waitress this isn't fattoush, but the waitress looked at her funny and said it was, but I guess there are variations of fattoush. I'm not complaining about the waitress, she was really nice, but this is just a heads up for anybody who wants to order fattoush from this restaurant. read more

Six of went recently and had the Lamb Chops, mixed grill kaboobs, and several other dishes were loved by all. Don't forget the Babagonush and Baklava which were superb.
