Marvin is such a cute spot, especially the interior. I've eaten outside before and, being right on Beverly, it can definitely get a little crowded and noisy out there, so this time we went inside around 5:30 on a Tuesday and it was super calm and relaxed. The service staff inside was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I ordered the steak frites and asked if I could substitute a small side salad instead of one of the huge entrée salads, which they happily did. The steak was honestly perfect -- a beautiful prime cut cooked exactly medium rare with one of the best crusts I've had in a long time. Seriously delicious. I cook steak at home all the time and still can't get a crust anywhere close to what they managed here. The fries were great too. Including the salad and tip, the meal came to about $100, which in my opinion is completely fair for the quality. It's definitely the kind of place where you go to treat yourself a little. The portion was generous enough that I couldn't even finish the steak, and the leftovers made an amazing sandwich the next day. Love this spot. Very cute atmosphere, genuinely good food, decent prices for what it is, and a menu that's extensive without being overwhelming.

Came here for dinner, it wasn't too busy yet. We ordered the salami, burrata, & honey toast to start- it was sweet & savory with a good amount of burrata on toasted bread and I would definitely order it again. The truffle french fries came piled high, crispy & hot. The rigatoni spicy vodka pasta had a good spice to it and hit the spot- I just love a great spicy vodka pasta. The tomahawk pork chop was tender & juicy- definitely shareable and great combination with the mashed potatoes on the side. For dessert we ordered the toffee date cake & tiramisu. The toffee date cake came hot, moist & drenched in toffee sauce with a scoop of ice cream. The tiramisu had good espresso flavor, but more cream layer overall. Parking- small lot behind building or street parking

I came here for my birthday and it didn't disappoint. It was delicious! This neighbourhood Italian/French bistro felt cozy and relaxed - a true neighbourhood gem. Everything that we ordered was perfect! The server was nice and laidback. My favorites were the potato chips & Jamon Iberico, white anchovy toast, rigatoni bolognese and spicy vodka. Honestly, everything we ordered was good. I can't wait to go back and try other items on the menu! They have an extensive wine menu and I saw people bring their dogs! I would request the inside table next to the window if you have a larger party! So cute!

Marvin is a great spot for date night or a cozy gathering with friends. It's not a huge restaurant, so it feels very intimate. The lighting is pretty dim, but it does add to the vibe. The food is honestly really solid. I loveeee their Caesar salad. It's so savory and has just the right amount of dressing. The squash blossoms are delicious and not too heavily fried. They come with heirloom tomatoes tossed in a beautiful olive oil dressing. The porcini soup is very flavorful, but not too creamy. For the entree, I love the rigatoni spicy vodka. The fresh basil provides the perfect contrast from the savory, buttery pasta sauce. Noodles cooked to perfection. The steak frites was good, but honestly wouldn't get again. It wasn't anything special and lacks flavor as compared to their other dishes. I really love Marvin and plan to be back in the future. The one thing I will say is that their service is quick, but the servers I've interacted with have never been friendly per se. They seem to want to take the order quickly and get annoyed if you need some more time. I'm not sure if that's the culture at Marvin or if that's just been my experience.

A friend was in town and staying by the Beverly Center and wanted to get together for dinner nearby. With that instruction combined with the 2026 Red Dining Book, we wound up at the small neighborhood wine bar, Marvin. There are handful of outdoor tables on the side walk under a blue and white awning, we found ourselves dining inside under a ceiling of cans and colorful twinkle lights near the packed bar. The staff quickly greeted us and gave us our choice of tables as it hadn't quite filled up yet. The spicy vodka rigatoni lived up to all of the other reviews praises and is arguably one of the best ones I've had in LA (it also packs a bit of slow heat). Our waiter was honest when we asked about fries or truffle fries, his recommendation of regular fries delivered (the aioli was excellent with splash of lemon). The brussel sprouts were pan roasted well. The chicken parm (was a tad too salty) was huge and comes with a pesto pasta on the side.

Cozy neighborhood vibe. I will definitely come back for the truffle fries ,spicy vodka rigatoni , salami burrata & honey toast, grilled octopus, and Hamachi Crudo! It's just the morning after and I'm already craving. The chicken parm with a side of pesto pasta is huge but not my fave. The steak au poivre was good too. Service was friendly. It was a Friday night and the place was packed with cool LA people. Cant wait to be back for their appetizers and snacks!

Cute little spot in weho. I've been here a couple times cause I crave their spicy rigatoni vodka pasta. Service is always good and they're always friendly, they also have a good selection of wines which is great when everyone wants something different. I loooovee the mussels however I wish they used higher quality seafood. The recipe is amazing but felt not so fresh. I also wanted to note that they do auto grat here 20%. Which is fine I guess, since I normally tip 20% anyway, I just wasn't expecting that for a place like this and was caught off guard. Would def come back next time I'm craving their spicy rigatoni but definitely not in a rush to come back

I think about the spicy vodka pasta from Marvin at least once a day. Sooooooo good highly recommend. Get the bolognese too. And the salami toast and the Italian chopped salad. And a bottle of wine

Bread 8 dollars

I would never ever go back to this restaurant. Everything I wrong here but owner created a good ambience, sort of New York vibe. Let's stop there! No service at all, bread extra of course, wine ridiculous prices a small glass of wine with tax and tip is 33 dollars each !!!!!! Are you joking and nobody tells you how much the wine is. Btw you can't see anything inside. Wait go to marvito most ridiculous prices for bad food. All they have is good Lighting. DO NOR GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENTS. The father of the owner should br ashamed of what he is doing. A thief in LA

They charge you 20 percent gratuity. Which is fine. But they do it before tax, so you have to pay tax on the gratuity.

They added 20% gratuity without telling me (on a two top) and gave me horrible service. No food check, no cleared plates. Will not return.

Beware of a 20% mandatory service charge on top of giving a tip. Wine & Anchovy bread was good.

We stopped by on a Monday around 8pm and it was surprisingly quiet at first, but before long people started walking in for Trivia Night and the atmosphere became much livelier. OR Bar has a really stylish, welcoming vibe. The black and gold decor, artwork, and chandeliers give it an upscale feel. I also like that it's more than just a nighttime spot. During the day, people come in to work, enjoy coffee, and just hang out, which gives it a nice neighborhood vibe. I ordered an Angry Orchard Cider and my friend ordered one of their Espress-OR Martinis. It looked great but it was strong! If you are an espresso martini fan who likes this style of drink, you will probably enjoy it. There are metered spaces behind the bar and there is also residential street parking nearby if you pay attention to the posted signs. Overall, this was a fun find and I can definitely see why it has become a neighborhood favorite. I would come back to try more of the cocktails and experience another Trivia Night.

The food was just as memorable. The chicken Parmesan was everything you want it to be: crispy, flavorful, and topped with a rich, perfectly balanced marinara and plenty of melted cheese. The Rigatoni Vodka (we added a meatball) was equally impressive. The vodka sauce was creamy without being overly heavy, and the meatball was tender, well seasoned, and packed with flavor. One thing to know before you go: parking can be a nightmare. There is valet in front, or you can opt for parking in the surrounding neighborhood. You're better off grabbing a rideshare if you can. It makes the experience much easier, especially if you plan on enjoying a few drinks. Between the beautiful ambiance, generous portions, and delicious food, this is an easy recommendation. We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, I think the vibe is completely off with this type of food, and I think it's hurting their customer base (I.e, there's a sports watching day, and live DJ?, but the food is definitely more for upscale vibes). I also didn't know they have a rotating menu with different chefs, so when I came in craving for something like steak frites and find out the don't have it even though their sample menu lists it on their website, it kind of throws my mood a little. Moreover, their wine list is not extensive considering it's a wine bar, and wine mentioned in their name :) Anyways I've digressed. With this special menu, I ordered the scallop tostada and maitake taco. The scallops were very fresh, and it was a very well balanced dish. I would totally order this again! The maitake mushroom was exploding with flavors, though I find the sauce a little too salty for my taste. If I came here just for food, I'd come back and try new things!
