Great new Korean place in my neighborhood. Food is fresh made to order super fresh and tasty. The server lady was very kind and attentive. Very excited to go back love the place. I tried the bibimbap very good it stayed hot through the meal. They serve side dishes with it. Did not like the fish cakes, but everything else was great. A must try if you are in the Anaheim Hills area.

The kind of hunger that hits after a gymnastics meet isn't subtle, and we walked into Masito ready for something warm and filling. It was a late lunch crowd, but the room still felt relaxed, and we were seated and settled quickly. We ordered the Cupbap Ribeye, kimchi fried rice, and a house ramen to share around the table. The ribeye cupbap really delivered on comfort -- tender pieces of beef layered over rice, savory and satisfying without feeling heavy. The kimchi fried rice had that familiar tang and warmth you hope for, with a good balance between spice and richness. The house ramen was exactly what we needed after a long morning: a hot, soothing bowl with deep broth flavor that felt restorative more than flashy. Midway through the meal, they surprised us with complimentary dumplings, which was such a thoughtful touch and honestly made the whole experience feel even more welcoming. Service stood out just as much as the food. Everything came out quickly, and the staff checked in at the right moments without hovering. They were genuinely friendly in a way that felt natural, not scripted, and it made the meal that much more enjoyable. Masito is the kind of place that understands what comfort food should feel like -- generous, flavorful, and served with care. If you're coming in after a long event or just need something satisfying and warm, this is a solid stop. Come hungry, and don't be surprised if they go the extra mile to make you feel taken care of.

Tried Masito Korean House Tofu for the first time this past Sunday around noon, and I was surprised to see only one other table occupied--especially during what should be peak lunch hours. That was my first hint that the place is still new and getting their footing. We were quickly greet by a very cheerful and friendly hostess/server. She was very cool so positive energy so made the time enjoyable. One we placed our orders, the banchan (side dishes) were quickly delivered and sadly just four small items but refillable. Even the most modest mom-and-pop Korean spots I've been to typically serve a more generous variety (like 5-7). Banchan is such a big part of the Korean dining experience, so this felt like a letdown but hey onward to main course. I ordered the seafood tofu soup, which is usually my go-to, but unfortunately the broth lacked flavor. It felt like it was missing that depth, spicy satisfying taste. To make matters worse, the shrimp in the soup were tiny baby shrimp--not exactly what you'd expect or hope for in a seafood tofu stew. There were generous amounts of tofu. Now on the BRIGHT side, the kimchi fried rice with spam is delicious!! The fried tofu bimbimpo was awesome too with the sauce. Service was polite and the space is clean, but overall the tofu soup felt can improve. There's potential here, so will come back end of year to try something else. Got to support the mom and pop shops and restaurants.

One other Korean restaurant in Yorba Linda and was so excited to try it. It's a little similar to BCD but home style. The food was good, but with some pros and cons. The soodubu was flavorful. The bibimbap was kind of oily and the black bean noodles were just ramen noodles, not jajangmyeon. The galbi was pretty little for quantity to price. The guys serving us were pretty nice though! Definitely a go to place if need some quick fill Korean food without going to LA or the OC.

Such a delicious Korean restaurant in Anaheim Hills. I've eaten here several times now - the food and service are consistently wonderful every time. There's just something so comforting about this restaurant. I don't know if it's because the staff is so welcoming, or if it's because it's smaller and cozier than other Korean restaurants, but I keep coming back! My go to order is the original beef tofu soup. The BBQ beef short ribs are also delicious. The entree combos are a good size to share. Prices for the combos vary depending on if it's lunch or dinner & they also have a lunch special menu. Banchan options are a bit limited, but I don't mind it because they serve my favorites. They close for a short period during the day, so I would recommend double checking the time before heading over.

I came here with my partner to try it out! The service was ok and the ambiance was a bit quiet! Not too much people were in, so I'm surprised it wasn't too packed! Short rib: juicy, flavorful, marinated well! Well seasoned! Definitely recommend! Japchae: simple and light flavoring with soy sauce and sesame oil. Light veggies such as onions, green onion and carrots! Tofu Soup: Not too much meat in the soup, nice spice and kick! TIP: Parking was ample and near the gas station! I believe there's a restroom in the corner of the restaurant (not too sure)! They do have a lunch special menu as well!

Restaurant closes at 9:00 pm per posted signage; but cut-off for dine in is 8:30 PM, sort of. First time finding this out was when I arrived at 8:45 pm. No biggie. I found out it's sort of 8:30 pm, when I arrived just before 8:30 pm and was turned away. I am happy for this establishment as it does not want or need my patronage. Came here around 7:45 pm. Plenty of parking and was seated right away. This is a small korean restaurant that mainly serves tofu soup. Service was great and everything came out fairly quick. This time we got the Galbi+ Pork Tofu soup combo and the Japchae. - Galbi 5/5: juicy, tender, and flavorful - Pork Tofu Soup: soup had a lighter vegetable flavor. Flavor of the meat did not get through in the soup 3.5/5 - Japchae(vegetarian): lightly flavored but still delicious. - banchan: was fresh and yummy 4/5 Finally a decent Korean place in Anaheim Hills. Definitely will go again. Too bad it closes a little early at 9:00 pm but most places in that area closes around that time so it's okay.

I'm averaging the rating of the two times I've been here. Maybe it was an off chance, but if you come here I'd recommend coming during lunch. We came on two separate occasions (second time was much better than first experience). 1st time (2 stars): We came on Wednesday for dinner at 7pm. Upon coming in they had a crying toddler in the kitchen and were severely understaffed. We felt bad about this as it seems like the lady waiting tables was also doing all the take out orders while also carrying and calming the screaming toddler. We waited around hoping for things to calm down. All the empty tables were still dirty and customers seemed annoyed at the wait. We sat for 35 minutes with no one coming by to give us water or taking our order. Neither of the three tables around us received any attention either as it seemed that they were working on a to go order. I did feel empathy as they seemed very stressed but we ended up leaving as it seemed like it would be another hour or two until we would've gotten our food with how slow things were going. 2nd time (4 stars): we decided to come back and give this place another chance, but decided to come during lunch time to avoid the craziness. It was a much different experience, it was a different waiter who was incredibly attentive and good came out quickly. The bbq short ribs were to die for and had the perfect amount of salty and sweet flavor. The vegetable tofu soup was delicious as well, would've wished that they put a little more veggies other than zucchini and mushrooms but overall was yummy!

Masito is located in a very dark area across from Pep Boys. Because of how poorly lit the area is, I honestly thought the location wasn't open today but it was. The inside of the restaurant isn't huge but has a decent amount of seats. This place is definitely more of a to-go/takeaway place rather than a sit down restaurant. The food was pretty good, but the presentation wasn't great for a sit down restaurant, hence the four stars. Serving some of our dishes on actual plates vs others like kimchi fried rice served in a to-go bowl felt strange to me. The plastic water cups for dine in are also like the ones you'd get at a fast food place, yet a server comes and takes your order, so that was a bit odd for me in the consistency of a sit down dining experience.

Masito just opened up less than a year ago and I was finally able to try it! It's a family-owned business opened by two sisters featuring delicious Korean staples, including soondubu, galbi, seafood pancake, and other dishes! All the banchan are made in-house, and they also have lunch specials which make everything even more affordable than they already are. I was able to try the galbi, seafood pancake, soondubu, egg-mari, tteokbokki with dumpling, japchae, bulgogi bibimbap, and marinated pork. Everything was super flavorful and tasted fresh, all while the portion sizes are giant. The all-stars of the show were definitely the galbi, seafood pancake, and the bulgogi bibimbap! The galbi is tender, juicy, and seasoned perfectly. Probably one of the best I've had. The seafood pancake is crispy and less doughy than other places which I enjoyed. Definitely come try Masito for some quality and authentic Korean cuisine while supporting a small business!

I loooooove SHARING and recognizing businesses that consistently deliver exceptional customer service, and MASITO, a local restaurant in Anaheim Hills, truly stands out. Their amazing food showcases incredible flavors, freshness, with generous portions at unbeatable prices. Although the restaurant is small, the space is thoughtfully arranged to provide a comfortable dining experience. A new addition to the decore is a wall dedicated to drawings made by the kids that come to the restaurnat with their families. The idea of showcasing the drawings is awesome as it highlights a FAMILY setting. After lunch we had a delicious Asian-inspired dessert that combines creamy vanilla ice cream with red bean paste in a fish-shaped cone. NOTE before the meal is served, a SMALL cup of hot tea is provided, I don't know what type of tea it was but it sure was DELICIOUS.

A small Korean restaurant. They have affordable lunch menu that is like a set menu perfect for single diner on the go. The service was fast and friendly. I went there by myself so I didn't get to try their other dishes. Their set menu was simple and tasty. I'm curious to see what their regular menu is actually like. Plenty of seating and parking.

So excited to have a Korean spot here! The tofu soup (soondubu) n chiken jikhwa is the best combo. They also have good banchans n the ramen is a guilty pleasure of mine (I add tofu and pork) I also ordered the galbi (beef short-ribs) to-go for parties (basically catering style) n both times, it was great n they even added a complimentary item! I wasn't sure if they'd accommodate a larger order but they def did n it hit every time One more bonus: one of the times I came in n noticed a Lil one sitting behind the counter - love to see family businesses n hope that Masito thrives! I've been here a few times with coworkers, and we really enjoy the lunch menu! We usually order the Tteokbokki ($11.99), bulgogi cupbap ($11.99), chicken cupbap ($11.99), and kimchi fried rice ($10.99). Normally when we go out for lunch, it ends up being $25-30 per person (I know, right?!), but here for $11.99 you get protein, glass noodles, rice, and the best part--unlimited side dishes!!! Finally, I don't have to drive all the way to Fullerton, Buena Park, or Irvine to get good Korean food. For a local spot, Masito nails it with price, value, and taste all in perfect balance. The restaurant is CLEAN, the service is fantastic, and there's plenty of parking. Definitely my go-to spot! read more

My girlfriend and I bumped into this place while we were looking for food one day and we have been coming back ever since. We've been here a total for 3 times and each time they continue to impress us. The first time we came in before the dinner rush. Unfortunately there was only one server at the time but that server was working hard, trying to get everyone seated in time. I remember getting the dumpling soup with the pork jikhwa. My girlfriend has gotten the BBQ short rib everytime she's been there. It's her go to. The second time I got the bulgolgi bibimbap and it was AMAZING. The third time i got the chicken bibimbap and it was EVEN BETTER. We ordered the Japchae but the server forgot to put it in because it was too busy. As an apology, Masito offered us ice cream at the end. What a class act. The service is amazing and they make us feel welcomed and loved everytime we show up. I would suggest try coming during the dinner rush because it can get really busy. read more

We tried this restaurant for the first time with family from out of town. We had a great experience, the restaurant was clean, the food was delicious, and service was amazing. My baby cousin could not eat spicy food and the owner was very accommodating, personable, and very kind to us! We ordered the soon tofu soup and it was extremely flavorful and the spice level was perfect (my mom ordered mild and I ordered regular) The kimchi fried rice was good too. Had a good balance of flavor between the egg, spam, japchae. Not too oily compared to other kimchi fried rices I've had before. My dad ordered the bulgolgi and he enjoyed it as well. He described the bulgogi as very tender. Definitely recommend to others, and we plan on coming back again soon! read more

Not sure if it was a bad day or if I caught them at a bad time, since most of the reviews are 5 stars, but for me the experience at Masito was not the best. Overall, the food was good, had great flavor in everything I ate, and the interior felt nice and clean. However the service was not good. My server seemed like he might've been new to the job and if that's the case I understand. I was brought the wrong dish and when I asked if it was what I ordered, my server seemed confused. I am appreciative of them striking the mistake from our tab, but I don't think I will be coming here again. read more

We really enjoyed our first visit to Masito several weeks ago for a Sunday lunch date. We each ordered the bowl special.....one with beef and the other with spicy pork. I've been going to Masito almost every other weekend and it has now officially become a regular in my restaurant rotation. I eat here so often that lately it's usually the first place that comes to mind when I'm deciding where to eat. Staff is always friendly and hard working, the restaurant is clean and well-kept, and the banchan sides are good, especially the fish cake. You get insane value and flavor for the price here. I usually order the soup combo (beef and seafood are my usual picks) paired with the short rib galbi, and it is always amazing without fail. Perfect for two people. If we're extra hungry, I'll add the fried tofu too as a crunchy option to compliment everything else. The soondubu (tofu soup) is solid, and the short rib is rich, fatty, and generously portioned. I've tried galbi at a lot of Korean spots across OC, and I can confidently say Masito has the best galbi I've had in the OC. It's THE standout dish and an must try. Big portioning. Big flavor. If you are not getting this, you are missing out. I've also tried the kimchi fried rice, tteokbokki, and bulgogi fries. All decent options if you're into those too. North OC finally has a Korean spot worth getting excited about - and Masito's it. If you're considering coming, trust me and just do it. read more

I don't know of any other Korean Tofu & BBQ spot in AH but this place is a perfect new addition to the variety of eateries popping up. Great service. Delicious bulgogi and short ribs. Great for family dinners or a date night. I don't think you'll be disappointed with this place. read more

I am generally skeptical trying new Korean food outside of ktown zones like Fullerton, Irvine or LA... but this opened up next to our office so let's go for lunch. I ordered the lunch special pork bibimbap (spicy) with seafood soondubu (reg spicy) and it totally hit the spot. Lots of food, lots of protein, I definitely had leftovers and not from lack of trying! The pork seasoning for the bibimbap is on the sweeter side but not overpowering and ties the two dishes well. The banchan (side dishes) were simple and delicious. I wish they also had some type of traditional fish on the menu like jogi or gulbi or yimeunsu ;) but the menu is definitely friendly for all types of diners. Service was great, server and owner/chefs are friendly. I like this place very much, great first impression. Go here instead of driving all the way to Fullerton for your soondubu or bibimbap fix. read more

It's hard to find good homemade-like, nostalgic Korean food, but I was blown away by everything we ate here, from galbi, soondooboo to the ddukbokki it was all bursting with flavor - sweet, savory and just delightful. Former spot of HOT near the former Pep Boys. Masito is my new favorite place! I crave Korean food but I'm too lazy to drive to Irvine for some guaranteed yummy comforting tofu soup. Also, not all Korean restaurants serve japchae but Masito has everything that I crave. Every item tastes authentic and comforting. I ordered it to-go and all the items still tasted as if I was eating in the restaurant. I ordered the Japchae, BBQ Short Ribs and Tofu Soup combo and an extra rice. The prices are comparable with restaurants in Irvine but I will definitely eat at Masito rather than driving all the way to Irvine. There was plenty of food!! The owner was even so nice to give me 2 free drinks to try. She didn't need to do that since I truly enjoyed my meal as I ordered. I'm so thankful for Masito for bringing some yummy Asian food to Anaheim Hills. I am going to be a regular patron at Masito. read more

I honestly do not enjoy writing these reviews as I love supporting small businesses. I hope the restaurant takes this review to heart and can improve their service. We were really excited for this restaurant as there is not a Korean restaurant around this area. We ordered a seafood tofu soup and a combo galbi and mushroom soup. I got my soup and started eating while the server placed my husband's galbi next to him. 10 minutes go by and the table next to us got their order. They came in awhile after us. We tried to follow up on my husband's order and ask if he could at least have rice to eat his galbi. Nothing. Another 10 minutes go by and we followed up with another server for the soup and rice. Nothing again. The third time, we followed up, I was almost done with my meal. We finally got my husband's rice after this as the other tables got served their meal. His galbi was already cold at this point. There still was no soup. I was finished with my meal when my husband got his soup. The soup was boiling, and the server placed it haphazardly on the side of the table. My husband had to move a boiling soup, so he could eat it. He was so hungry he just started eating only to notice that it was not even mushroom tofu soup, but it was beef with seafood. Good thing he was not vegetarian. At this point, he was so hungry, he just wanted to finish and leave. I just sat there watching him eat because I had already finished my meal a long time ago, and I am a pretty slow eater. When we asked for the check, they are suddenly prompt in getting us the check and getting us out of the restaurant. We never got an apology for the tardiness of my husband's meal. My mom and I were looking for some comfort food and found out about this place while searching through Yelp! New Korean restaurants in the Fullerton/Brea area have been a huge hit or miss but this being in the Anaheim Hills area and its quick reputation with great reviews, we had to try them out! I got their Beef Tofu Soup (Regular) and my mom got their Seafood Tofu Soup (Regular). This isn't like your traditional larger tofu soup chain restaurants because they don't serve you rice in the stone pot nor do they serve you an egg to crack yourself when the soup comes out. We found out that they already crack in an egg themselves so that's good to know if you're not a fan of eggs. The soup in general was not too salty but the flavor was very light compared to other places. It was also the first time having mushrooms in my beef tofu soup. The rice was on the mushy side as well. Their banchan (side dishes) were honestly pretty good and had the perfect flavor balance. Most smaller Korean restaurants like this one have terrible banchan but this place was spot on with their spices and overall flavor. Decent Korean food but doesn't taste like your typical authentic tofu soup offerings that you can get in the Buena Park area. We were the only ones in the restaurant around 11:30 AM on a Monday morning. Service was excellent because the guy working front of house was available in the main dining area during our whole visit. Nothing special about this place but a decent Korean restaurant with affordable prices. I give this place a solid B but this will be our first and last visit to this establishment. read more

Absolutely blown away by this gem! The food was amazingly delicious--every bite felt like a warm hug from a master chef, and the portion sizes were great. my family and friends eat at masito often and we typically order the galbi (beef-short ribs), seafood pancake, and beef & seafood tofu soup. my mom also really likes the japchae, which I personally think is one of their best menu items. my favorite part about eating here is seeing the friendly staff and how they interact with their customers. not only does the food taste like homemade korean comfort food, but we always feel at home at masito, always leaving satisfied with the food and their customer service. i want to try more items on the menu next time because everything we've tried so far has been very good ! read more

Newly opened in town. This spot is a hidden gem I have been to a lot of korean restaurants, but this place is different. This place offers cool korean drinks. Yeah, you can get it at a market but it was nice seeing more drink and dessert options available! Right off the bat, the food quality is very good. Portions are big and shareable. Service is quick and attentive. Got a chance to meet the lady boss and she was the most adorable and sweet person ever! she made the restaurant ambiance 10 times better. I've heard great reviews about his new local Korean restaurant that newly just opened in my neighboring city, Anaheim Hills on the local Anaheim Hills Buzz Facebook page. So decided to finally come check it out with my girlfriends for lunch 08.29.24 What we ordered ~ Seafood Soon Tofu Soup in Regular spice Level wasn't at all spicy for me. It was good. Was waiting to see if the associate was gonna bring is a raw egg for our soup. Little did we know, the egg has already been cracked into our soup. This is something i think is best if the egg was given to us to crack into our soups ourself. In case we didn't want the egg in our soup. ~ Bbq Short Ribs was pretty Yum. Sweet and soft juicy. Marinade was good. Definitely recommended. Decent size we got for all of us to enjoy with our soup too, The Banchans were good especially the fish cake. Kimchi Banchan was good too. Service was a bit slow. The guy server was attentive. Too attentive when we asked for i believe our 3rd serving of refill for the fish cake Banchan and we all felt somewhat slight of dissatisfaction when he brought it out. It was about double serving bowls and made a remark "this is all of our fish cake we have left." We were hungry since our Soon tofu took a bit slower to receive along with our a la Carte bbq short ribs took much longer. 10-15 mins possibly after we got our soup. We were waiting on it until the server came out and told us there was a mess up and they are currently working on the short ribs for us now. That place was awesome. Craving some good Korean food, we found Masito, and glad we did. We ordered up the Bulgogi Bimbimbap which was amazing. Very flavorful. We also got the Tufu hot pot which was equally flavorful and delicious. The server was great and mentioned that they had only been open a couple of weeks. The place is fairly small but nice. I can see that when Masito gains in popularity there might be a wait. Looking forward to going back again. read more

Masito in Yorba Linda is a gem! Their Korean tofu soup, BBQ, and bulgogi taste amazing. But what truly stands out is the owner's kindness--she's like an angel. I went with my four-year-old son, who wanted plain (non-spicy) tofu soup, so I ordered a bulgogi tofu soup combo. When the owner realized it was for him, she kindly split it into two bowls without me even asking and made one non-spicy. It was such a thoughtful gesture. The parking lot isn't usually too bad in that you can find something as there is an abandoned restaurant near the side. Best to try to give yourself at least a 15 minute buffer though when you go as the place tends to get busy on the weekends at least. Once there, there are usually both smaller and bigger tables in a cozy environment. The menu itself has a mixture of items as well as some juice/coffee drinks as well as some alcohol. Here's what we got overall: *Bang-silog: The fried fish is a surprisingly good option and pretty big. Able to easily feed two and comes with a few side items like rice and a fried egg. *Pandan cold brew: Oddly really good. I was afraid it was going to be overly sweet but ended up being a perfect balance of the pandan and the cold brew flavor. *Silog Breakfast Bowls with Longanisa: Lots of different options to choose from here for your protein. This is a great overall bowl packed meal that includes garlic rice, egg, tomato salad, and the meat you chose. You also get a few sauces to enjoy with your meal like ketchup and soy sauce. The service is really friendly and able to answer all of our questions. And the meal itself took around 15-20 minutes to come out. Overall, it's a solid brunch spot that was great to go to nearby. Would recommend!

Visited this new Korean restaurant with my family and was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience! We were seated immediately, which set a positive tone for the evening. We ordered the tofu soup ( soon dubu) and bulgogi bibimbap - both were outstanding. The banchan (side dishes) deserves special mention - fresh, flavorful, and generous portions. Our server was attentive throughout the meal, checking on us regularly without being intrusive. The quality of everything we tried was excellent. As Korean food lovers, we're thrilled to finally have a great tofu soup place in our neighborhood! Will definitely be returning soon to explore more of their menu. read more

This spot is such a gem! We came in craving Korean comfort food and were blown away. The seafood tofu pot was hands-down the best I've ever had--rich, flavorful broth and just the right spice. I was Greeted by one of the waiters and he recommended i got the ham and cheese tofu soup and the special with bulgogi since I had a hard time choosing what I wanted. I enjoyed the service and atmosphere. Everyone here is very polite and kind they make sure to take care of you. They have a few selections will come back here soon. read more

Ok so ive left a review about how delicious this place is from the tofu to spicy pork to the marinated short ribs. But WOW the spicy seafood ramen was BOMBBB!!!! The flavor was so delicious! And their Kimichi is so good too!!!! You wont regret eating here and they have great lunch specials too! So reasonably priced. read more
