I assumed the intercom system wasn't working so drove around to the window. With the new drive through, I found I could hear both speakers. I placed my order after the "can I help you" only to hear a different voice say "can I help you so I repeated my order. The second voice was the one taking MY order. They need to figure out how to fix that. Also, since there is only drive through because of covid 19, I had no recourse when I sipped some of my Dr. Pepper and found it tasted like colored seltzer water. I wasn't about to get in line at the drive through again. (This isn't the first time I've gotten a Dr. Pepper that tasted like seltzer water there.) This review is for my drive-thru experience about a week ago. I got irritated with the order-taker when I had a big order and everytime I would say an item, he would reply with "is that it?' "is that it?" FIRST OF ALL - I think that's rude! I had to finally say - "NO, I have a big order". THEN - the order-giver at the next window was getting on my nerves cause he gave me my order and tried to send me off without giving me my beverages! "here you - have a good day" WAIT Fu6kr - where's my drink??? then he gives me my drinks "thanks, have a good one" - hold up dumba$$ - where' my mcflurry?? (oh, let me clarify, that I am not rude to the order-giver... these are just the thoughts I wish I had the courage to say). I mean - don't you CHECK to make sure the order is complete before you tell me thank you and have a good day and then move on?? Then I got SUPER irritated when I ordered a sweet tea and they filled the WHOLE Cup with ice and then added the tea. I guess that's why my cup was heavy. So you know I was done with my drink halfway through my meal. UGH! If it wasn't for this iced tea incident, I probably could've just let it go... but this was the straw the broke the camel's back. i just HAD to write a review. I usually only go to Mc Donald's their breakfast because it's soooo good. My favorite is the sausage biscuit sandwich, but the sausage mcgriddle is a very close second. I've found it a lot faster to go inside when there's a line at drive through cause it's usually empty. *** CAUTION SPOILER ALERT *** Not quite sure why I occasionally swing by this location (maybe just a glutton for punishment?), but this is by-far, the WORST McDonalds I have ever been to. Most McDonald's are known for their consistency (in a good way), though 'good' is subjective considering this is 'junk food'. This particular location is known for being 'consistently' bad... We were in a rush today (12/29) getting some after x-mas shopping out of the way & decided to grab some nuggets for the kids (getting late & kids were starving), knowing full well of the consequences. I looked at my wife & suggested prior to entering the drive-thru "why don't we just go to the location near Alcosta?" She said "Naww, it's too far & I don't want the food getting too cold" (Famous last words). Entering the drive-thru (as usual), we were greeted by the amateur auctioneer taking orders. Every individual item I ordered (should I pause to take a breath) was interrupted with 'will that be all?', as I was forcefully rushed to complete the remainder of my list. Heading to the pickup window we already anticipated having missing items (this visit again did not disappoint) as the dumb-ass kid at the window (some asian dude this time) handed us 2 drinks, a single bag of 20 nuggets & said "Thank you have a nice day." We waited a good minute for him to come back for me to say "Uhmm, we have another 20 piece nugget, a McChicken sandwich, a fillet o fish no cheese & a large fry no salt. He stepped away for a few minutes, handed us the bag & said "OK, that is everything", then turned his back. We looked in the bag & found that we were missing our nugget sauces as well as the McChicken. We waited another minute or 2 before he came back to the window where we told him the remainder of the order that was missing. He left, came back with the final missing sandwich & handed us 2 sauces for 40 damn nuggets. I said, 'Dude, we have 40 nuggets here'. He said, 'Oh' & handed us 2 more sauces. What a freaking dumb-ass moron this guy was. Then again, we had already anticipated this horrible experience prior to getting into the drive-thru so 'shame on us' for subjecting ourselves once again to this torture (not to mention that despite our best efforts to assure the fries were warm), they could've easily passed for fettuccini noodles (wifee was PISSED). I DID however warn her (but don't tell her that), though I digress... Additionally, being the good Samaritan that I am, here are a few tips for you to make your agonizing experience at this location a little less painful: Tip # 1: If you want crispy fries, tell them NO SALT, then ask for salt on the side. I'd say (depending on time of day or luck of the draw), getting hot/crispy fries from this location is like winning the damn lottery. Odds are not in your favor & I'd say you'd more than likely be struck by lightning or win the Mega Millions jackpot than getting fresh fries so a simple 'no salt please' will be your best bet... Tip #2: DO NOT drive off when the moron at the window hands you your bag, regardless of how miniscule the order is (even if all you ordered is a small French fries, chances are they'd somehow find a way to even screw that up). You've got a 50/50 chance of having a complete or correct order so do yourself a favor & take a quick peek before having to pull over & run into store or take another trip into the 'infamous drive-thru'. Tip #3: This is 100% success in regards to consistency (or failure in my case) but NEVER order a Fillet o' Fish in the evening. Patty is always hard (dry, chewy microwaved texture) & even saying 'no cheese' will guarantee you will STILL get the reheated sandwich WITH cheese that you'll now need to pry off with a Ginsu. Tip #4: Just go to the other McDonald's @ 21001 San Ramon Valley Blvd (or better yet, just grab some carrots n ranch or make 'ants on a log' with some celery, peanut butter n raisins). Again, we were entirely aware of the potential consequences prior to entering this drive-thru hell & this trip was no different than the others. We only come here once in a blue-moon & only when we're feeling masochistic on anticipating a horrible, painful all-round experience (my penance). A plus however (being the optimist that I am) is that this location is so damn bad, we rarely ever do fast food anymore. Indirectly, this location has contributed to our family 'eating in', eating healthy or just saving $$ & finding something around the house. In hindsight, despite the crap service & horrible food, a beautiful flower has sprouted from this stinking pile of shit... Keep up the bad work guys & maybe the average life expectancy will once again be on the rise, prior to the McDonald's evil empire ever coming into existence as a means of population control.. *** Update 02/09/2013 *** Gave this place 1 more shot, simple order: Big Mac, NO CHEESE. Is there any reason why this particular location seems to get orders wrong more often than not. MacDonalds and their franchisees really need to up their training game. Any mention of MacDonalds workers demanding more money fall flat as long as they screw up orders. It would also help if they could hire people who could actually speak and understand English. This is a corporate problem and they need to either train better or up their hire requirements. The other problem, to the workers defense is that the communications equipment is sub par. We live in Roseville now but decided to go to the beach yesterday & on the drive home we stopped back here. At 10:30pm. Whoever was working August 12, 2017 at 10:30pm needs a raise!
