Okay I have never been to Medieval Times before and this is what my sister in law wanted to do for her Bachelorette and I was pretty excited to go. I think for the experience you get the price isn't too bad as it is dinner and a show. Our group got dressed up for the occasion as many people do. I can be a competitive person so since our knight didn't win so now I must go back so I can have a winning knight. The food is what you would expect and honestly the soup and the potatoes were my favorite part of the meal. The service was great, Sebastian was one server and he was very attentive and kind and made sure we had to go boxes for all of our leftovers becuase it was a lot. I truly can't wait to come back again with another group of friends and cheer on our knight!

brought family members here for their birthdays. Everyone here was super friendly and accommodating. The food was really good and filling.. We had a great experience.. Special Shout Out To Our Server Ottis as he was super friendly, funny, and attentive.. He always was engaging with everyone and made our experience very fun and enjoyable.. Yellow Knight Won! Thank You Medieval Times

Chicken was moist and delicious and hot chicken. Sliced baked very well seasoned sliced wedge potato was yummy and hot. First course was a flavorful tomate soup. The 1/4 corn was too mushy. Pepsi to drink. Overall food was good. Mariano server was nice and polite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance fun and appropriate for medical times setting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I'm surprised to say I had more fun on my second visit than my first. This time around, there were no animal cruelty protests outside, so it wasn't awkward walking in. We arrived just in time, and the show started right as we got to our seats. The show was enjoyable, and it felt like they had added a few things since I last visited a couple of years ago. It was fun rooting for a different colored knight, even though the outcome was the same (he lost!). The food was surprisingly good this time. My chicken was super moist and tender, whereas last time it was dry and nearly inedible. The potato was well-seasoned, and I enjoyed the corn. Overall, it was good food for a dinner show. I came with a larger group this time, and we all had a blast. It's definitely an activity I'd do every so often, and they always seem to be running deals, so it's worth checking online for a promo code before you go. Parking - Easy. They have a large lot with plenty of space.

Had a surprisingly good time here. We got the queen's royalty upgrade since there was a discount code online and it worked out to be about $100 per person for a full meal, a show, as well as a picture souvenir to take home. It was well worth it. Let's start with the show. It was entertaining and had some unexpected plot twists, which was cool. Food was surprisingly good and I enjoyed everything except the dessert, which I found to be too sweet. I also thought it was really smart of them to serve food that could be eaten with your hands, just like in the medieval times, which also cuts down on utensils. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I can see this being a really fun experience for families with kids or just for an adult birthday party/celebration.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would recommend!

Had a fun time at the medieval times show. The ticket comes with a meal. The meal consists of half a chicken, garlic bread, tomato bisque, half a piece of corn, half a slice of potato, a soft drink/water/coffee, and a chocolate eclair. The food was just okay. The chicken was partially dry and partially juicy. The tomato bisque tasted like they juiced tomatoes, and the corn was dry. The eclair was my favorite; not too sweet and also creamy. Most things tasted pretty dry but that's okay since they're known for the show. The servers there were kind and served our food quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The show was super fun and the energy that the crowd brought was amazing![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would recommend if you've never been.

This was such a fun family experience. The food and drinks were delicious. The horses were beautiful and were the star of the show. It is a bit pricey but it was worth it for the experience.

It's been years since I've been back and it seems to be way better this time but also we got VIP this time around We were here to celebrate a birthday and we got the VIP tickets. We had our own special VIP landyard sine we got the Royalty tickets. The seats were dead center and great views of the show! The riders even came up to us and tossed us flowers! Super interactive and fun to watch. We didnt realized how loud and potentially scary it would be the kiddos. Some of the parents had to take the little ones out when they were dimming the lights and strobbing the lights. Overall the show was really fun to watch. The food wasnt bad at all. The chicken was actually really moist. It was a good amount of good given cause I was stuffed when the dessert came out. Lots of photo ops throughout the venue. Cool spot for kids and adults too!

Came here on a Saturday evening last month, party of 3, we got the VIP tickets for $70 per person and sat in the second row for section 2. I totally didn't realize this was something that wasn't for kids when I heard about it, but it was actually very entertaining and I did not regret the experience!! The plot was cheesy but well executed, and the horses were so cool?? I've never really seen live dressage before and I think this is one of the only places that you can regularly watch it. Pros: - Very easy to get to, especially if you do an uber drop-off to avoid the parking drama - HUGE portions of food- we were served garlic bed, tomato soup, half a chicken, and a pastry for dessert. It's "full-on medieval experience" so you eat with your hands, no utensils. The tomato soup and garlic bread were actually so delicious. Meal also comes with your own choice of soft drink (think lemonade, etc). - There are drinks to purchase, menu is on the QR code at your seat. It was pretty tasty - you get to scream A TON - and it's actually encouraged!! I like spaces like these where you're allowed to be as obnoxious, talk as much trash as loud as you want, against knights that are not the one your section is rooting for. The red knight - staff were welcoming and professional and super helpful - the knights and performers are all super talented! Even though you know the fight scenes are staged, the competition is real and the knights are actually trying to win for real (per our friend who is a knight there lol - it's a real job and they have real martial arts training) - People get super into it, and dress up and groups have so much fun! - They do give you hand wipes, but sometimes it is helpful to bring your own extra Cons: - the drinks are super overpriced because they come with a souvenir cup (which I didn't see explicitly written anywhere when we bought them) that looks kinda tacky lol - the chicken breast and potato was pretty dry, so I would say the food here is very mid and that's not what you should come for - I would wear clothes you're okay getting a little dirty, since it's pretty dark, you can't really see when food splashes onto you - The dessert pastry was also very dry Overall, a super immersive and engaging show with great performers. I felt like the $70 without the extra cake was worth the money.

Medieval Times was a fun and entertaining time! My wife and I had not been here for many years. We attended the dinner and show this past weekend with her family and everyone had an enjoyable experience. The parking is spacious, but on this particular Saturday it was soo busy. The whole venue was packed. They have tons of merch and toys. You can purchase alcohol before or during the show. The food itself is ok. You eat everything with your hands like the olden times. Something new to note is they have options for those with dietary restrictions. They offer a Vegan meal now. The whole atmosphere is loud and cheerful. We were in the Green Knights section and we cheered and clapped during the show. Our waiter was awesome. The whole show is about 2 hours. The actors did a solid job with their performances and we were really cheering and rooting for our Green Knight in our section. It was an enjoyable time and worth going if you have never been. High school event night for seniors only. (Cypress high school and other sounding schools) My son had fun (his first time here last time he attended he was a toddler) had a blast. Definitely enjoyed hanging out with his friends and staff. Service was good and the show was awesome. We need to come back as a family next

My family and I come here about 2 to 3 times a year and the service was exceptional today. I had an issue at the bar and the manager was quick to resolve the matter and make me feel valued. @erikreyes19 was our server and he went above and beyond to make sure we left satisfied. I can't express how often customer service lacks in experiences. But today at Medieval Times was not the case! As a business owner I value customer satisfaction and it was refreshing to be on the receiving end. Thank you staff at 2pm Medieval Time!

Good Knight The whole concept of "dinner and a show" has become a somewhat antiquated idea these days. I mean, sometimes people-watching is far more entertaining than any show that's happening, but Medieval Times sword fighting Knights and knaves might have something to say about that. Medieval Times dates back to the '60s in Spain, of all places, before it became a thing here in the US back in the '80s. This Buena Park location is actually their 2nd US location (ca. 1986), as there's now nine of these in the US, and one in Canada. The Good: *Huge free parking lot *Beer on-tap, as well as a full bar to keep you lubricated for all the death and mayhem. *Actors were a little over the top but still a lot of fun. *If you love jousting and sword play, then this is the place for you. *Overall, the food wasn't half-bad! I don't think it's changed much since the last time I was here (late '90s), but you get a full rotisserie chicken, garlic bread, soup baked potato, and grilled corn. I will say the grilled corn and potato were the stars of the show, as the chicken was just OK. There's also dessert, but we'll get to that in a minute. *Great family entertainment as my sassy, grumpy 15yr-old son had a great time, which is saying a lot these days. The Meh: *It is a little pricey at ±$80/ea but you gotta figure an operation like this ain't cheap to run, and in the end it was a lot of fun. #worthit *Vegetarian option is pretty weak with some hummus, PiTa bread, and veggies. Veg-heads are definitely not getting their money's worth here. *There's lots of opportunities for you to spend extra money here, as well. From photo opps and souvenirs, to premium seating. The Ugly: *The dessert portion was an Éclair that was beyond horrible. My fat ass will eat a lot of shit for no good reason, but even I could only manage about two bites before I set it aside. Conclusion: Big family fun, but for a price.

Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament

    Do you offer utensils?

I feel like they have the options but it's all pretty easy to eat by hand.

How do people dress at this, casual, jeans and top?

Very casual. Keep in mind it's kind of cold inside too.

How early before showtime should I arrive if I want to avoid waiting in a long line? Thanks!

We showed up 30 minutes prior and that was ample time. We didn't stay in a line long.

What age for children is appropriate to see the show? Would a 4 year old enjoy?

Hi I would say it depends on the child. Some 4 year olds are used to going to restaurants and are comfortable sitting for a long time. The show is super fun, and if your child likes horses that would be a plus.…

Has the quality of the performance and show experience been negatively impacted by the Hollywood actors/SAG strike? Is it still worth going? The strike could last for months.

I don't think the quality has been negatively impacted however, they were short actors and they we're definitely missing. They compensated pretty good but it was still somewhat scaled down a little. My family still had a good time. The food was ok.…

Is the $25 + each upgrade worth it ? How's the food

No, it is not worth it, and the food is subpar. You eat here for the entertainment not the food.

How is the smell- I went went I was in middle school and it was bad back then.. how is it now?

    No smell at all.

Can I purchase a souvenir cup there or do I have to purchase when I buy tickets online?

Souvenir cups are available on site. You can purchase beverages with different souvenir cup options such as a drinking horn and other Medieval Times labeled glasses.

    Is this place stroller friendly?

I would yes, it's pretty wide open and the facility has ADA seating and wide aisles

    What are the covid protocols?

Have to wear masks the whole time, except for when sitting at your table.

I read that strobe lights are used. How extensively?

It's not a ton but throughout the show a few times. Whether any symptoms could be triggered in someone who would be affected by strobe/flashing lights is probably dependent on their sensitivities.

    Are they open now?

    Yes they are

    How long is the show?

    It's a couple of hours.

    How long is the show?

About 2 hours. Get there at least 30 min early to browse merch and the torture museum.

Can you see the horse in the stable before or after the show?

The horses are behind a window, which you can see after the show

Disculpen alguien sabe cuanto cuesta y si viene comida incluida?

Adulto: $ 63.95, Niños menores de 12 años: $ 36.95. Sí, la comida está incluida.

Do people dress up in medieval clothing?

    Of course

    What is the vegetarian option?

    There isn't one.

How early should we arrive and are the general tickets good or should I upgrade? Planning to go on a saturday

Thirty minutes early should be fine; and for us, when we upgraded, we didn't feel it made any difference, as we'd been before. You can see from everywhere and the meal is the same. The VIP upgrade just wasn't as impressive as we'd hoped, I guess.…

Are you supposed to tip the server?

Yes, at the end of the performance, they even bring a card with your servers name on it, saying that a tip has not been added and that it's customary to provide one. They had the credit card icons on it, so I'm sure you could pay by card if you…

Our movie started at 6:00 PM, we arrived around 5:20 PM, and the garage was completely closed off -- they weren't letting anyone else in. Luckily, we found parking about 3 minutes away and paid around $5, which honestly wasn't too bad. We came here for the second part of our Valentine's date night and watched Wuthering Heights because hello... Margot Robbie is my favorite girl. I haven't been here in over 15 years and WOW -- I forgot how absolutely beautiful this theater is inside. The lobby is spacious, classy, and honestly feels kind of luxurious. There are pool tables, a full bar area downstairs, and spaces where you can hang out with drinks and good company before your movie. We headed straight into our theater and ordered food from our seats (also... water is complimentary, love that). We were seated in our own little pod -- super intimate with two seats, cozy setup, and yes... a blanket. It truly felt like rich people movie night. Shoutout to our server Jake, who was outstanding from start to finish. Great service, super attentive, and made the experience even better. Food-wise: The Boss Burger ($20.5) was a solid 8.5/10 -- hubby really enjoyed it. Although, there were no pickles or tomatoes in there even though it was in their menu. I ordered the Chicken Caesar Wrap ($17), and I'll be honest... it was the only downside of the night. It was a bit cold and tough, and the tortilla-to-filling ratio was a little off for me. I'd give it a 6/10. If the tortilla was a bit warmer I'd think it'll be able to hold onto the filling a bit better, but that was meh, for me. BUT the fries? Piping hot, crispy, and delicious. And Jake even brought us ranch, BBQ sauce, and extra ketchup without us having to ask twice. Overall, this was my husband's first time here, and it definitely won't be our last. We had such a great experience -- the ambience, service, and overall vibe were top-tier. Can't wait for our next cozy movie night here!

The seats were way too close together, and the person next to us had belongings spread into the shared space, making it very difficult to get in and out of our seats comfortably. Because of how uncomfortable the situation was, we decided to leave during the previews before the movie even started. We politely explained the issue to the manager and asked if we could either move to different seats -- even less expensive ones -- or receive some type of accommodation such as passes for another movie. Unfortunately, the manager refused to help in any way and would not issue a refund, exchange, or even offer courtesy tickets. For a theater that markets itself as a luxury experience and charges premium prices, I expected much better customer service. Other theaters like AMC are usually much more understanding and willing to work with customers when issues arise. Instead, we left feeling frustrated after paying for a movie we never got to watch. Sadly, this experience completely turned us off from coming back.

This has been our regular theaters for a long time, which is why it's disappointing to see it seemingly decline lately. When we first started coming here, it was a true dine-in theater, with servers who came directly to your seat to take your order. After COVID, that changed to ordering at the concession stand and having the food delivered to your seat, which was still a nice option. Earlier this year, the dine-in service was eliminated altogether, although the sign outside still identifies the theater as "Dine-In." The bigger concern for me, though, has been the condition of the theater lately. The last three times I've visited, the auditoriums have been uncomfortably warm. Aside from making it difficult to enjoy a movie, the warmer temperature unfortunately seems to contribute to an unpleasant smell inside the theater. Cleanliness has also become inconsistent. Tonight, when I arrived at my seat, there was popcorn all over the floor in front of it along with an empty BuzzBall container. I've noticed that the side of the theater that formerly had the dine-in service generally seems nicer and better maintained, while the other side has unfortunately not been nearly as clean during several of our recent visits. I'm not writing this to bash the theater. We've been loyal customers for years and have enjoyed a lot of movies here, so I genuinely hope management takes some of these issues seriously. I'd much rather see this theater return to the experience we remember than have to start looking for another theater to visit every week. Hopefully this is just a temporary rough patch, because we'd really like to keep coming here.

I'm a little torn at how to rate this Courtyard by Marriott location…read more On one hand, my room was outdated and the elevators to the second floor (this location only has two floors) is not right by the lobby, but rather towards the middle of each hallway, so not very intuitive. The two-queen room I got had a balcony facing the courtyard / pool area, so that was nice, but the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke, even with the air running (I mentioned it to the front desk so I wouldn't get hit with a smoking charge on my account). I did appreciate the empty fridge to store leftovers and drinks and the ability to stream from YouTube on the TV, so I could have what I wanted to watch and listen to for background noise while in the room. On the other hand, there were some perks of staying here. The most convenient thing is that Porto's is across the street. Trust me when I say, do not drive over to Porto's. Take advantage that you're at the hotel across the street and walk over to save time! There's also lots of uncovered parking on both sides of the property, so you can pick where to park to be closer to get to your room, though it's an open lot, so anyone can come in and out and there's no shelter from the rain. The lobby area has been renovated and is really nice if you need the space and quietness to do some work, wait for your room to be ready, or just to hang out. Staff was pretty awesome too. We had to blow up some balloons and they allowed us the use of an empty meeting room so that we do not disturb anyone in the lobby.

We arrived in Buena Park around 10:00 a.m. to spend the day at Knott's Berry Farm, which is an easy 8-minute walk from the hotel. I asked Annette at the front desk if we could leave our car before check-in so we could head straight to the park. Without hesitation, she happily said yes and even told us she would have our room ready by noon if we wanted to come back early. We ended up returning around 2:00 p.m. for a break, and check-in with Annette was quick, easy, and genuinely friendly. We were assigned Room 253, which smelled fresh and clean the moment we walked in. The bed was incredibly comfortable, everything was spotless, and we had no issues at all. It was also a nice surprise that the air conditioning was already running, making the room cool and comfortable after spending hours in the summer sun. We immediately headed to the pool to cool off before grabbing dinner and returning to Knott's around 7:00 p.m. After a long day, the shower had excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water, which was exactly what we needed. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay. The location is hard to beat for a visit to Knott's Berry Farm, the room was clean and comfortable, and Annette's outstanding customer service made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. A solid stay thanks to the welcoming staff and location, but Marriott should address some maintenance concerns.

After a fun day at Knott's Berry Farm, my wife and I decided to get dinner before hitting the road…read more The criteria were good eats, a varied beer selection, a decent atmosphere, and hopefully some novelty. Rock and Brews exceeded each category and came in clutch with some bonuses! First, and most importantly, the food was absolutely delicious! I had tacos, which were discounted for Taco Tuesday and allowed for a mix-and-match of chicken, beef, or pork. My wife had the Mediterranean salad, which she thoroughly enjoyed. We also shared a pretzel that was mega yummy. Second, beer! Lots of great choices, and if you prefer a mixed spirit, well, you're in luck, because they have plenty of those too. Third, vibes! Vibes like Cal Tjader came back to life. The place is decked out like your coolest friend won the lottery and created the perfect spot for all of his Rock & Roll lovin' homies to hang and chill. It is hard to pull off this level of focus without being a complete visual disaster or downright tawdry. Luckily for them, the designer understood the assignment. Well done, designer. You deserve a raise. Now, obviously, I'm a fan. One visit. That's all it took. But even after all of that goodness, there is one thing I must share, because it made a good experience a great one, and that thing is not even a thing; it was Matthew! Brother, thank you for being so kind and attentive. You are very talented, and without question, the quality of our experience is directly linked to your professionalism. I get the impression that no matter where you go, or what you do, the Force is always strong with you. Let's give Matt a raise too! And make him manager when you open the San Diego location.

They were tasty, too, but I can always appreciate a good looking burger that doesn't fall over after they place it on the table. I had the super spicy one and it kicked my bum. Will be back, even if it's just to get a bottle of their hot sauce . Only real gripe is that this place looks and feels like a sports bar/restaurant, it has over a dozen TVs... But the same thing was on ALL the TVs ! I understand the music theme is central appeal, but at least have different (variety) music videos on if you're gonna have 30 TVs in your restaurant. Make it interesting
