TLDR: 1. Staff unfamiliar with menu 2. Negligent 3. For some reason continues to forget the boba 4. Gave the wrong drink but won't do anything about the mistake 5. 40 minutes for 3 drinks Walked in to order an oolong milk tea, first off the guy at the register needed us to point at what we wanted on the menu. He then proceeded to take 2 orders and asked us to pay, but we still had another order to place. He proceeded to make 2 separate orders, and that's fine. We ordered the last drink, but was told 5 minutes later they didn't have it, tried to order a smoothie but they said they didn't have smoothies. It's on the menu.. ended up getting a tea. We waited 15 minutes watching the two guys laughing and running around while orders were coming in. We asked about our order and he said the first order was already waiting on the counter. We weren't told our order was ready. However there was no boba in our drinks (yes we ordered it). We brought it up to the server he said "sorry we have no boba". BUT there was a tub of boba sitting right there! He then filled the top of our drinks with boba, the excess boba didn't allow the caps to close causing major spillage. I tried my drink - oolong milk tea - and it definitely tastes like Jasmine green tea. I had my group try it and they all agreed it tasted nothing like Oolong. I went up and asked the server if there was any chance they mixed up my drink because I ordered oolong but got jasmine, he responded with "sorry no boba." What????? I stated again that I ordered Oolong milk tea but I was given Jasmine milk tea. He said "no it's oolong milk tea" as he laughed and shrugged - his coworker standing behind him just LAUGHING. Absolutely rude. 25 more minutes waiting for the last drink to come out, still not received. We go and ask about the order and they said they already gave us the last drink. We did not receive it otherwise we wouldn't have stayed. The server then puts his hands on his head saying "oooohh no" we're assuming he mixed up the orders. We wait another 5 minutes and we get the drink, again with no boba when it was ordered. - they also forgot to put boba on the previous order before ours as the customers came back to ask for the boba they ordered. I ordered online via Google maps options for pick up order through various food delivery apps (I.e. doordash, etc.). I was searching for a boba place nearby and open late, this one was in a plaza with plenty of parking. It wasn't busy when I got there, there was plenty of seating and clean inside. Nice brightness and cute decorations around. I ordered a brown sugar boba milk tea, 100% sweet, and no ice. The app indicated a specific time to pick up, which would be around 10min. I walked in and gave the staff my order number and then got my drink. The drink looked like a regular milk tea with brown sugar syrup on the sides and boba. Boba was firm and not sweet, but my drink also wasn't so sweet (Hmmm?)... after drinking more I realized the top was foamy, maybe whipped cream? Once I reached the foam, I find out it was cheese foam. I ordered through the Fantuan app, and the receipt I got has brown sugar boba on it, and I didn't see any cheese foam on the menu option. Came here with my aunt to get some watermelon juice! We asked if they could make them slushie and they did! The cashier was very sweet and patient as we figured out what we wanted. I got a plain watermelon slush. My aunt got the watermelon slush with cheese foam and boba. The drink was great! However, I did notice that the watermelon to sugar water ratio wasn't favorable. They added a few chunks of light pink watermelon and lots of extra sugar, so if you're looking for an all-natural watermelon juice this probably isn't what you want. We came after hours, when the surrounding businesses were closed. So parking was plentiful! When we walked in the store was poppin, as it was packed with several groups. That ranged from older people catching up, younger groups on zoom doing some studying and everything in between. I thought this may delay our orders, but by the time we ordered and sat down. I've been to Meet Tea maybe 2-3x now. The boba shop has been opened for quite a few years now. There are plenty of tables and many times, people are usually here studying or doing work. The last time I came, I ordered 10/1/2023 via the Uber eats pick-up and was quite disappointed with both of my items! ++Popcorn Chicken - mild spicy $7.49 (price on Uber eats app) - Flavor and seasoning were good. However, there wasn't any sort of crunch to my popcorn chicken. They were just small pieces of chicken that were fried with no sort of breading. I don't know about you, but my favorite part of popcorn chicken is the crunchy parts, and there were absolutely none! Also, this popcorn chicken doesn't come with fried basil or have that extra basil flavor. I don't like rating restaurants with one star (in fact this is my first), because I understand a lot of effort goes behind keeping a small business open. However, too many things fell through the cracks to consider this a decent eatery. We ordered two drinks (pictured below), and fried mushrooms, fried tofu, and fried chicken using the self serve kiosk. However, 30 minutes later only the drinks have arrived. The drinks themselves are honestly the worst boba I've had in a while--the milk/creamer they used tasted off and gave the drink a chemical taste. As the drinks are almost $6 for a large, they really just aren't worth it. Maybe their non-milk teas would be better. As for our fried food, we never received them. We checked on our order at the front desk, and the staff were reluctant to speak to us. When we asked about the status of our order, he said their machine was broken so he doesn't know when we will receive our food, and said that we can check 20 minutes later if they haven't fulfilled the order. We asked if it was possible for a refund, and he acted like he couldn't understand. Eventually, he said to ask again in 20 minutes. They knew their machines were broken but they never bothered to give us a heads up despite receiving the order. So we wasted another 20 minutes, until we were able to ask for a refund. Since he was not trained on this process, he had to call for help and eventually figured it out. We were not the only party waiting on our order--several other parties checked multiple times on the status of their order as well. They were quite backed up, but still continued to take food and drink orders. In situations like this, they should have communicated to everyone that their machine was down and caution customers on putting in food orders. The staff did not handle the situation well. I did see a sign that customers can receive a free drink if they complete an honest Yelp review. I wonder if that influenced their rating here. I have visited this restaurant many years ago and thought their food and service was good. Unfortunately that is no longer the case. Overall, I would not recommend or visit again. They honestly need either more staff on Friday late night duty or better train their staff. read more

It is complete rip off as we paid $8 bucks for ICE. Not to mention, it took them 15 minutes to give us the drink and there were ZERO customers. Not a spot I recommend for real tea lovers. You are better off with locations such as BOPOMOFO or TeaMaru to name two...try some other establishment. If you do go, tell them easy ICE...meaning 1/4th ICE. They know what they're doing.
