Moved down from San Jose recently and needed to satisfy the Szechuan craving. This place was great! Ordered the: Steamed egg w/pork, Zha Jiang Noodles (mild spice), Mapo Tofu noodles, and pork dumplings (mild spice). Each dish did the job, 9/10 taste. The Pork Dumplings are 10/10 taste, the sauce is so good. Love the spicy flavors and will get spicier next time. Mild spice is indeed mild, not spicy at all. Going to a noodle restaurant I should have probably ordered the noodles but I got the shrimp fried rice takeout. Even then, it was pretty good. I liked that the portion size was large and we got like half a bag of small shrimps in there. Seriously there were like 20 shrimps that came with this fried rice. It was pretty light in flavour but the portion and freshness made up for the semi lack in flavour. I am a little regretful I didn't try the noodles but maybe next time if I am in town. read more

I like that they have a nice outdoor patio area as well as indoor dining. They serve Sichuan food (Chinese food); mainly noodles and dumplings. Sichuan Cuisine is where it's at! I had their pork dumplings and also their Chengdu noodles. The dumplings were not spicy at all and there was a hint of sweetness to the oil. The noodles had a fried egg and some ground pork in a chili oil sauce. Again not spicy, but I ordered it at level 1 spice. They go up to three levels of spiciness so take your pict. Wish I bought the large size instead of small. Got a medium spice and it wasn't too spicy. Zajiang is a dry type noodle with ground pork, cabbage and a fried egg. Spicy beef rice noodle has a pretty thick layer of that chili oil, but it's what makes it so good! My partner was sweating a bit from that spice but said it wasn't what he normally feels from traditional spicy food. He loved it. The interior is really clean and well designed. I did see a B rating at the time which did make me nervous, but it was so well presented and clean and professional. I felt safe eating here. I'm craving it again!! read more

Really sad to be giving this restaurant 1 star as we are regulars who love the food and liked the staff. We noticed something was strange tonight when we walked in and saw that the staff has changed and they no longer laid out the placemats. Gone are the young, attentive, English speaking staff. In their place was a lady, who was frantically filling togo orders, and a man who did not speak English so he could not attend to the customers. Never in all the times we've eaten here (almost on a biweekly basis) had we noticed so many customers standing around waiting to be helped. While we were there a cook in a half pony tail found it appropriate to take his smoke break right outside the front doors that were left open. A customer next to our table voiced that he did not want to get second hand smoke. The most APALLING thing that happened during our dining experience was a group of about a dozen people (appeared to be family members of the new owner) came in, moved tables and chairs around, went to the server station and helped themselves, and went to the cold side dish cart and scooped their own food! Where are the sanitary protocols?? New management needs a lesson on how to run a restaurant (and keep their customers) and new staff needs lessons on professionalism, customers service, and safety protocols! read more

The food is either too spicy (they do have mild/medium/spicy options) for the level we selected, or too peppery (they compensated the chilly with a lot of peppercorns).
