Brought my 1 ton dually in for new brakes. She is a big girl and working on her is never an easy job, not all repair facilities even have a lift big enough to get her up. I called ahead was assured they could do the job, and was even told they would get me dropped off back home so I wouldn't have to wait. They came through on all their promises and more. They provided me a lift home, stuck to the estimate and when the job took longer than they had anticipated the crew stayed late to get the job done. When we got to the shop to pick up they were putting the final touches on the job making sure it wasn't just finished, but that it was done right. We left the next morning for a 2500 mile trip towing a large trailer, there wasn't a second chance to get it right. The whole crew was awesome and Curtis was hands on throughout the whole process. I would not recommend coming here at all just due to the fact that I know what goes on from the inside because I used to be an employee there. Curtis treated employees like crap talk to them like crap has an anger problem throws new parts around and then slap them on cars. Totally two-faced and has no respect for anybody. Employees are underpaid and Shorted hours on our checks . When a vehicle comes in for a transmission flush or any kind of flush it's only the drain and refill but he charges a flush. None of his machines work. His transmission jack does not work. A lot of things there are faulty there's oil everywhere fire hazards everywhere. I would not recommend anyone going to the Napa location or Petaluma location or Vacaville location. I give ZERO stars. Also has multiple lawsuits against him with that business. Do not trust his "midas touch". He also called me a punk because I came for my last check. Please don't come here to get your vehicle serviced. read more

The pros: The staff was super friendly. And they let us bring our dog inside. The cons: They tried to convince us we needed to spend more than $900 on repairs when we came in for a $50 oil change. They told us we needed new tires, fluids, filters, and wiper blades, needed to replace the struts, the shocks, and the brakes -- and of course, we needed to get everything re-aligned. They told us our car wouldn't make it home. Well, we were skeptical. And with good reason. So we took our car to a locally owned, five-starred shop renowned for the integrity of its owner, and guess what? Not a single one of those repairs was necessary. I'd never go here again. Horrible. Told me 30-45 mins for an oils change and waited an hour before even being Calle sup to the desk. And was there for 3 hours. This was a while ago but still frustrating to this day. Told me all this stuff " that was wrong " with my car turns out my car was just fine when having my normal mechanic go away. Places like this seriously can not be trusted. Super friendly customer service --and the took our car at 4:55 p.m. and their sign says they close at 5 --and it took them an hour to do the repairs! A headlight, brake-light, and fuses needed replacing. They even found a nail in a tire and plugged it and didn't charge me. GREAT experience the first time there. read more

I've been taking my car and my husband's car to this midas for years. The service is friendly and the staff does an excellent job of explaining what work needs to be done. If they can help you without charging you an arm and a leg they will. If they can do something simple like patch a tire, then there's often no charge it all. They have even offered me a ride home so that I didn't have to sit in the shop and wait on my car. Can't say enough great things about these guys, and I definitely recommend them. As a tip to the reviewers who have been dissatisfied, always allow plenty of time when you're having work done on your car, that way you can be sure you're getting quality service. read more

When they asked for my address and personal information I made it abundantly clear that I don't want a single piece of mail. I had a terrible experience here and hope that if you choose you have work done here yours is better. First, the information the person checking me in out on my paperwork about why I was there was 100% not what I said or true. And I didn't read the notes before dropping off my car. The mechanic had completely in accurate information about what was going on and why I was there. Second, they failed to look at any of the cars past service history and recommended a ton of work that had been done one week prior (I told them at check in what'd been done and where the records were in my car). When I asked why they were recommending it, the advisor told me the fluids, filters, oil, and spark plugs were dirty and it was likely either I was misunderstanding what work had been done or they dealer lied and charged me for work they didn't do (My paperwork actually indicated it was all recommended based on mileage). Third, because they left my car disassembled to 'show me' why they were right about the work they recommended before allowing me to pick up my car. I caught them in several lies. Basically what I was told in person was different than what was on the paperwork and what was presented on the phone. At the end of the day, I was thankful they 'showed me' and I knew what oil, filters, and break pads looked like when they needed to be replaced. read more

I went here today for an oil change because I had a $10 off coupon and was surprised by a $90 synthetic oil change. They did other inspections for free but then charged me $25 labor. The service was fine, but his staff parked our car on the city street which has a time restriction. We later received in the mail an $88 parking ticket (never actually saw the ticket on the car). We sent this to Curtis and he paid, but it was not received until a month after the citation was due. This incurred a late citation fee of $91. I received the late payment fee notice on September 12, 2017. I have been asking Curtis to handle this for months. Unfortunately, as of January 11, 2018 it still has not been paid and the matter of collection is headed to the California Franchise Tax Board. It's unfortunate that I've gone through months of this and will most likely have to pay this out of my own pocket. Curtis lost a loyal and frequent customer. read more

So the positive is that the customer service was good and professional. The bad, well, i will not be back to this place. It is a rip off. Thank God i got a second opinion before getting work done on my car. I was told I had several things wrong with my car, including low and dirty oil. MY oil is NEVER dirty or low. I went in for an inspection and was quoted over a $1000 in part and labor. I my car to another shop and purposely did not mention i had went to Midas to see if I would be told the same things. After the inspection, half the things that i was told was wrong with my car was not wrong including the mechanic telling me my oil looked clean and it was full. The biggest thing was that the work that i needed dont to my car, that I was quoted for a $1000 for, was completed for a total of $250 out the door. HUGE difference if you ask me. read more

Terrible gift of gab sales tactics, lies, bad overpriced work. First vehicle 4K, not so bad work, missing a few parts though; second vehicle and sworn last 4K again, did not do a complete job stating because I had a budget. Installed broken damaged shock, no rotors on complete brake job, alignment and steering components on steering components that cannot be aligned without a complete system replacement, stolen rims from back of truck... Third vehicle that was brought in by wife by accident to have oil changed, installed pan bolt after damaging washer seal, leaked for a week and three repairs later, damage to car body, false estimates of repairs over $400.00 then a $99.00 oil change on a four cylinder car. read more

This shop ripped me off to the tune of $6400. I went in for A/C blowing warm air and they found all kinds of problems with my car.. most of which I think were either caused by them or made up. I am going to the Bureau of Automotive Repairs and Consumer Affairs. I asked for parts back, they wouldn't give them to me. The owner acknowledged that I should get the parts back, but he never gave them to me. Too many suspicious issues to note here. They are thieves. Don't go there. read more

After going to a local muffler place in Napa and was given est to replace exhaust leak, of 987.52 I was stressed, So my grandson said go to Midas they fixed my car and were great!!! I went to Midas and not only was the team there so very helpful but explain everything and gave me options. wow it came down to 564.74 to fix my exhaust leak, I just wanted to cry I was going to save so much and felt being a female was not taking advantange of. I purchased a classic vehicle from a friend and my father and I decided to drive it from California back to Texas together on a road trip. Before heading out, we took it to Curtis to make it road worthy. We were on a very tight schedule and Curtis and his team worked late, long hours to get our 88 Jeep Wagoneer ready for the road. We had shocks, tires, brake system and exhaust all completely redone. On the trip, we often thought fondly of Curtis, especially when heading down a mountain or on rough terrain, where the Jeep performed flawlessly. We started going to Midas after our Audi needed some service repairs. We called the dealer, which was infinity more expensive than Midas quoted us. The service is top notch. I especially have to thank the manager, Curtis, for his help in dealing with our warranty company. He took the time to get on the phone with me and helped me to get our recent repair needs covered (when initially the warranty company was trying to not pay for it). They were also kind enough to drive my husband home while our car was in the shop all day (we only have one vehicle). I was heading back to the Bay Area on a Sunday morning when I discovered that a sudden low pressure tire alert on my dash was caused by a screw in one of my tires. Anxious and on my own, I checked my phone and saw that this Midas shop was 8 minutes away. Robert and Mohammed came to my car as soon as I pulled up, assessed the tire, said they could repair it and had the work done in 20 minutes. They were super polite, friendly and professional. went in for brakes paid close to 800.00 owner was real nice that day then next morning brakes making sounds. Goodled and got Yelp listed that said mon thur fri and sat could not make it due to work and school finally got in there got my oil changed and told them of the problem. i was advised I had to come back the next day because brakes were defective. Okay went back next day and day before told there was a film on roters that were new too. ASked to see roters because defective brakes I'm sure would have an impact on roters i'm not a mechanic by any means. Owner then called me back and said they are going to change brakes but I got grease from the road. I have had this car for 4 years no grease from the road has EVER been an issue . I drive freeway 14 miles both ways no dirt etc. The owner started arguing with me when I said well that nice of you since i spend over 800.00 for this service and when I advised I would have brought it in earlier but I could not get there thats when he told me they were open sundays. i advised Yelp did not say that and he rudely said I'm not affiliated with yelp. At that point I was done if I had the power I would have poured grease all over this snow white hair. NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO PAY $$$$$ AND IF THERE IS AN ISSUE YOU WILL GET LIP. I called this morning at around 10:30 am and requested a same day appointment. The gentlemen on the other end of the phone offered me a 2 pm slot and I accepted. I gave him the make and model of my car and asked what the price would be, to which he replied $39.90 and instructed me to download the coupon so I could get it for $19.99. So I did. I arrived right on time and the front counter personel (I believe his name was Justin) greeted me and I let him know I had an appointment, to which he responded that he did not see me on the schedule, but that they would get me in anyways. I said thank you and I let him know that the gentlemen I spoke with over the phone also told me about the coupon and I had it ready when he was ready to ring me up. He left to the back and when he returned he said its actually going to be $52.00, but we have a coupon that will take $10.00 off. So at this point, Im thinking it will be $42.00. He hands me paperwork to sign with the price as $53.00. I pointed it out and said, I think you forgot to apply my coupon. To which he replied "no its applied the oil change is $52.00 and the disposal fee is $10.00." I said okay when you told me how much it was going to be why didnt you tell me $62.00 then?? We went back and forth for a minute or two on this, with me pointing out it that for the second time, I was being told an incorrect price. At this point another gentlemen comes over named Curtis and asks what the problem is, so I explain I dont understand why he told me the incorrect pricing, if the services total cost $62.00, dont tell me $52.00 thats clearly incorrect information. At this point, Curtis goes to the door yells at the shop guys to stop work on my car immediately, then comes back to the counter and says we arent doing anything until you understand the fees. To which I replied, it is not because I dont understand the fees, I understand them- what I dont understand is why this is the second time I have been given the wrong price. Curtis flipped through the paper work talking to me slowly and explaining each charge as if I was a half wit. Realizing my point wasnt coming through I reluctantly and frustratedly signed the stupid receipt and just wanted them to get the damn thing over with and get out of there. SO, don't get me wrong, its $10.00 okay -whatever, what upset me was the principle of everything. 1. they are unorganized (the appointment never being put on the schedule) 2. they dont take accountability (the wrong price being told to me TWICE) 3. they are unproffesional (Screaming from the office to the back to stop work on my car, and walking me through charges "until I understand") I will never ever go back here solely on the fact that clearly I can't get a reliable appointment, a straight forward price, or professional customer service. read more

This is my first time ever contributing a review to yelp and so I will try to be balanced in MY opinion and experience. Curtis (the manager/owner) was very personable and provides great customer service. If you print their coupons online their oil change is only $24.95. The rest of their staff seemed very friendly as well. They answered all my questions and at no point did I feel pressured into fixing anything. That said, please do be careful. They provide cheap oil changes to get you in the door so they can find other things wrong with a vehicle. It's a shady business model in my opinion. Their 17 point inspection is supposed to check car fluids and tire pressure among other things. My fluids were not topped off and the "flatter" tires were not inflated. I'm new to the area and so deliberately left these things as a way to gauge the quality and integrity of the auto shop. Curtis looked me in the eye and said they do a 17 point inspection and these things are part of the deal. Now perhaps Curtis didn't do these things himself and relied on the work of his employees, but the end result is the same. Additionally, I asked them for a quote on my rotors and brake pads as my wheel shook when I braked and it smelled like rubber. He gave me specifications for how worn down my brake pads were. I was told to fix the rotors and pads in the front and discs, springs, and drums in the back. I was quoted at $950. To be fair, he did indicate the back was more of a priority and did not pressure me into these things. However, he did downright misrepresent the severity and the facts of the situation. I opted to spend $160 for the parts and did it myself. Not only were the brake pads much less worn down than indicated (perhaps they use a "special' tape measure?), I could have gone another 20,000 without a problem. Again, their business model (in my one experience) seems to be to point things out while you get an oil change and dupe the naive into thinking they need to fix things. My advice: learn to change your own oil, air filter, spark plugs, brake pads, and rotors. I've never done these things, but a buddy told me I was crazy to pay the prices they quoted. I saved over $700 and it took me 3 hours. That's over $200/hr and so well worth my time. Find a place that gives it to you straight. You might think they are, but unless you know what to look for, they will point out things to make a quick buck. read more

I am always concerned about being overcharge, or for being told I need something done to my car that I don't really need. NOT HERE!! These guy are the best, the real deal. Curtis, Robert, and Lane totally took care of me and provided me with a loaner car when I needed it. First I needed a battery - I tried to install it myself - but I broke a rusted bolt. When I came back for a little help they gave me more than a little help they fixed MY problem NO CHARGE!! Then the dreaded struts!! My car spent 10 years driving in snow and salt, that equals rusty bolts, but they powered on and fixed a few small things on the way. When they say "bumper to bumper" service they mean It. I now live in Napa and I now have a place to take my car without fear of being ripped off. Thanks Speedee Midas!! I always got my oil changed here, it was always 40 dollars and a few cents with the coupon and a some extra oil. This time it was over 60 dollars, I questioned the price twice but got no clear explanation, the oil was the same grade etc. When I picked the car up they also said I had 2 oil leaks and naturally quoted me to fix them, in fact I had to sign a document that said I refused the repair when I said I would look at it and determine if I was to go ahead with the "repair". 1 of the leaks being trans fluid. I park the car over a white concrete drive, trans fluid is red, not a drop of oil on the drive over the last 2 weeks? read more
