My family and I love Miguels! We eat there about 4 to 6 times a month. We get 5 burritos and a taco and only pay $12. So it is priced well for a family. It can be more if you get combo plates which are also yummy. We love it and recommend it. The catering is very reasonable. For example tostadas for 10 to 12 people is $ 30 bucks and it includes napkins plates and beautiful presentation. Love it!!! read more

Miguel's bean as cheese burritos from the corona store was always a favorite. Cheap loaded with cheese big and delicious all for a 1.69. I was so happy when they opened one closer to Wildomar. Came to Miguel's since we were nearby and In-N-Out was full because of the lunch rush. It was a huge mistake and I hope everyone who has access to this review takes this into consideration. The food was pricey. It was about 8$ for each plate (there were 3 of us). One consisted of their Nachos, another of their Taquito platter, and mine was the Carne Asada platter. The nachos were horrible. The chips had no flavor (seemed to be store-bought chips) and were thin. The "salsa" didn't seem to give it any kick and the chicken had a weird texture that I wasn't familiar with. The cheese was also "microwaved" on top of the platter. The taquitos tasted like rubber. They looked smaller and tasted worse than the ones sold in the frozen isle at any grocery store. They gave you 3 of these small "taquitos" that had about a baby's palm full of meat inside, and some beans and rice. (I'll get to the beans and rice later) My plate was the saddest excuse for tacos I have ever experienced. Usually, authentic tacos come with a double layer of tortilla so the juices doesn't destroy your grip. Juices? What juices? These tacos were as dry as the Mojave Desert. They topped them with diced onions and cilantro....that's about all I tasted. There was no flavor from the meat. Again, it was served with beans and rice. The beans and rice that come with most of the platters is not authentic which they claim to be. They taste and look like beans out-of-a-can. The rice comes in clusters as if it was frozen or let to sit for too long. The rice was okay tasting, but the beans were not. In the end, do not come here if you think it's the "In-N-Out" of Mexican food. It isn't. I would rate Taco Bell and Del Taco above this horrible establishment. It's overpriced for what you get (small portions and unflavorful). Never again will we be going there. It's nice to take risks, so others don't have to. Don't take the risk, you'll regret it. Side Note: My cousin's girlfriend ate here and left hungry. That never happens anywhere, She's a petite girl and if your 8$ "meal" can't satisfy basic hunger to that extent, then I don't know what's the purpose of coming to Miguel's. read more

The first few times the tacos were good. Today we went and had a different experience. First, girl who took our order lacked customer service...came off cold. Second, the tacos had very little chicken. I was bummed out. Tasted mostly like hard tortilla shell and lettuce. I thought it best to let them know for future quality control. I purchased two of the make your own taco packages for 10-12 people. I went in person,placed the order, paid for it and picked it up 5 days later. I ordered both the shredded chicken and the shredded beef. The complete order was waiting for me when I picked it up. The chicken was good however the shredded beef was very,very good. Next time I will just order that. They supplied everything I needed except for sour cream and pico de gallio. I thought it was a fun easy way to entertain and I will definitely order from the again. I don't usually like giving negative reviews but I feel as though it can't be helped in this situation. I try not to complain about a business based off a one time bad experience but when every visit is riddled with problems, it can't be helped. Let me start by saying that I rather enjoy the food and something as simple as a bean and cheese burrito, this place makes it awesome...however...I have visited this restraint several times now and my experiences have all been the same. The staff all have the initial impression of being upbeat and happy but once you start ordering, they're not so nice. The management is no different. Twice now, through the drive-through, I've ordered burritos for the family and when I open them at home, the bag looks like a murder scene. The burritos are inside out and oozing everywhere. When I call the restaurant, the manager was rude and says, yeah that happens all the time. Am I supposed to eat my burrito out of the bag with a spoon? No other place is this way. The manager told me she wrote down my info and I could come back in and they would replace my order. When I did, they treated me like I was a scam artist claiming I wasn't "in the book". I had to ask for the manager once I got there and she too claimed I wasn't in there. After explaining my story and giving her my receipt, she said that she kind of remembered but unless she found the book entry, she couldn't help me. I insisted once more and after looking she goes, "Oh there it is."...... Okay, enough of that and onto my most recent complaint. It always takes forever to get your food. It doesn't matter if you are second in line, it takes a good 15-20min. Last night was my breaking point though. Again, like I've done before, chose the drive-through on the way home from work for family dinner. Sure there was a small line of cars but I never expected it to take 25min just to get to the window! I sat in park most of the time not moving. Hell, an In-N-Out drive-through during rush hour on a holiday weekend, where the line of cars wraps around the block twice moves faster than this drive-through! But I digress. I give this review two stars only because the food tastes great...if you ever get your order. Walked in 4/14/2014 9:10 P.M. Order number 420. Ordered The Chile Verde plate with flour tortilla. Wife ordered Chicken rolled tacos. I took two bites and tossed it in the garbage. Any place that puts rice in the burritos is good for tourists from the Midwest, I should have taken that as a bad sign when I read that on the menu. The Green Chile tasted like mushy chicken instead of pork, no green chile, tons of salt. Rice had no flavor was very dry, beans tasted like those awful ones from El Pollo Loco, bland. Wife's rolled tacos were very mushy and the guacamole had something in it that did not taste like avocado. On the positive side, the Root Beer was delicious, the place was very clean. Forget the Salsa bar none of it tastes home made. We live near this place, a mile down the road. Had we known the food was prepared for tourists we would have gone to Taco Bell. The plates they serve dinner on for 10 bucks are the size you would serve a slice of pie on. I, for sure am not taking family there or friends. First time at THIS location. Never again! No cars in front of me at the drive-thru, yet lots of high school students yelling in the parking lot around the store. I ordered a carne asada quesadilla. We've been going to this restaurant since it open and have loved it until recently. We buy a 32 oz container of beans weekly to survive the workweek. We eat burritos regularly and it works for us because we love how consistent the beans taste. Over the past 3-4 months we've noticed some changes however and not for the better. The first thing we noticed was the "new" management. A 20 something with a major ego. I felt like a kindergartner when she was at the window. First time users, and without a trace of a doubt we will not bother with an encore. We recently moved to the area. After a very long day we went out to look for a place to eat, hopefully something new, and not the more familiar places. Saw Miguel's Jr., home style Mexican eatery. Name caught our eyes, hoping for the best we ordered the following items: 3 Carne Asada Burritos, at $7.95? a pop, certainly on the expensive side, but we remained optimistic. Burritos medium size, 10% meat, which was at best average, the rest of the filling the mundane items known through out the land, this side of the border: rice, beans, a truck load of sour cream, what had a very little slight resemblance to guacamole (fake or real, take your pick), possibly granulated pieces of lettuce, what I am trying to say is all the cheaper ingredients that always add bulk, all this rolled in a medium size tortilla, no different than a hundred others, probably from the same provider. Taste was fine, edible for certain, specially after dishing out hard earned money, no one was about to take the higher road and refuse to eat what was ordered, that's for sure. 2.5 cloudy stars. 1 Chile Verde Burrito, $6+?, plenty of chile verde sauce, but the pork had left the building, for no more than 4 or 5 pieces were ever found. Plenty of the fillers, very generous like before. Edible, not too bad on the flavor department. 2.5 stars. Salsa, free. Scary how bad it was. Whomever made should have been arrested by the good taste police and send all the way back to kindergarten baby culinary school. Water consistency, with one of the most distasteful taste ever conceived and have the audacity to dispense to their customer base.
