There's honestly nothing bad I can say about this little gem on Cedar. I've never had a bad experience here. The tri-tip sandwich is my go to and it never disappoints, tender, flavorful meat every single time. It's great as is, but I usually add the BBQ sauce on top, which just takes it to another level. The bread is buttery and garlicky, exactly how I like it, and it pairs perfectly with everything. The pulled pork is great too, and the hot link sandwich is another solid choice, full of flavor with just the right amount of heat. This time I only ordered the rice pilaf, but I usually get the chili beans as well, they've got a nice little kick of spice. It's a bit farther from me, but not nearly far enough to keep me from back!

Yummy! I've always noticed this place but never went to it until recently. The service was EXTREMELY quick! Like as soon as I paid my food was basically ready. The food was nice and hot all the way home! If you do eat there, just know it's outdoor seating with two full-size picnic tables with a tarp over it. The parking lot is right next to the seats though, so honestly wouldn't hurt to just eat in your car if you wanted. The tri-tip was delicious! The meat was very tender and juicy and I appreciated the sauce on the side! The rice pilaf was just okay. It's not like it was the main dish, but served as an excellent side. The prices are also great!

Okay, now I understand the good reviews! Came here to order to-go just to realized they were actually meant for to-go orders. No indoor dining, they do have a small area with benches and tables to eat... if you cant wait to take it home. Tri-tip is perfectly done. Juicy, tasty but not salty! Note that I took a bite as soon as I received my order. Service was quick.

Hidden gem! One of the best tri tip sandwiches I've had. More smoky natural Tri tip taste. Will be back!

Food was amazing! The bread has a nice garlic butter glaze. It still had that nice soft touch inside while maintaining its outer crisp. The meat was a solid 8.4/10.. smokiness was there, needs more juicy "Tri -tip" flavor I would say. Service was mid. If you hungry for a quick good Tri tip. This your place!

Been by this place several times when I go shopping next-door. This time I was with my siblings and mom and I mentioned the tri-tip sandwiches so they convinced me to pull in and order some. A small place, letting a gentleman working both nice and polite. So I ordered us a couple of the jumbo tri-tip sandwiches sandwiches or full meat and flavorful added the barbecue sauce they provide for extra bowl taste. did enjoy the sandwiches have no problem stopping by for another one when I'm in the area.

Regular Tri tip sandwich. BBQ sauce on the side.

Quick, no frills place, with window service. Consistently great sandwiches. They have lots of other things on the menu that are great, also, but that's always my go to meal. The sesame roll is toasted and buttery. It is never soggy and just thick enough to hold the Tri tip. The BEST. the BBQ sauce is honey thick, sweet and tangy. You can pick up a whole tri-tip, and they have great sides. Service is friendly and efficient. Everyone there is really nice. There's a few tables and chairs outside, beneath a pop-up shade, if you would like to eat there.

I have always passed by this place.. and my fiancée and I finally tried it out. We went on a Saturday around noon, there was only one couple ahead of us. Service was quick! We ordered a Jumbo Tri-Tip, a small Coleslaw and a small rice pilaf to share. There is minimal outside seating... so we decided to bring the food home. The tri-tip sandwich is VERY GOOD!!! It was tender and the BBQ sauce on the side was a good touch! I would come back for this! The rice pilaf was delicious, and flavorful! The coleslaw had too much vinegar for my taste. I'd skip this next time.

Wait you sell tri-tip, grilled hot dogs and rice pilaf!! Well say no more, delicious tri tip sandwich, perfectly grilled hot dog and bun! You a not go wrong with Mike's Grill! Be aware operational hours are just a little different than most. Whenever you're in the "dog" house and can not find a seat and want that tasty tri tip head over to this grill house! Parking is plentiful, minimal seating be prepared to eat in your car if you that huuungry and can't wait till you get home!! Great spot , good and food , give it a try and get out of the "dog" house sometimes it's better !!!

Ridiculous yet practical! Only PRO eaters into their 'eating tools/helps' need apply. Lightbulbs went off!

Great food. A little expensive, but they make a mean tri-tip sandwich. You can also buy a rack of ribs, but they aren't FANTASTIC.

Ask the Community - Mike's Grill

Where do they cook their tri tip? And their other food?

    In our commissary kitchen

Anyone else having issues calling ahead to order , phone keeps ringing and no one ever answers?

Yeah, unfortunately they only have 3 people working in the booth. With the high volume of calls they receive it's bound to happen.

After reviewing the menu selection, it felt like I was waiting for a while just for a staff member to acknowledge us. Instead, the workers were standing with their backs to us , and left us standing there for a while. In fact , I was so confused I was looking around for a kiosk to order my food. The next thing that I didn't like was the price of our lunch. 45.00 for one sandwich , two small cups of soup , two fountain drinks , and a dessert. Seems pricey for a sandwich spot. I get it - this is a step up from Subway. However, for what I spent - I expected more. Finally, the dining room tables were grimy. I had to clean off our own table before the food arrived. I felt like this was inexcusable considering the amount of staff standing around not doing much. Here is what I did like. The menu has a nice variety of hot or cold sandwiches, sides , and desserts. Everything sounded so good. Today, I opted for the Monterey chicken sandwich. While the flavor was good, it ate a little messy. I had chicken pieces falling out and cheese oozing out of the bottom. I don't think I would order this again- there appears to be better options to choose from. The baked potato soup was really good ( salty but delicious)! Hands down , the best thing we tried was Gary's chocolate cake. That cream cheese frosting was heavenly! Heads up- this cake is super sweet ,and a little goes a long way. Feel free to share this dessert. I am coming back to try more menu items- I may have just ordered the wrong sandwich today.

This original location remains my recommended spot for Mediterranean food. Many Mediterranean…read morerestaurants in Fresno County are Armenian-owned, while only a small handful--like this family-run restaurant--specialize in Lebanese cuisine. Lebanese food is widely considered among the best expressions of Mediterranean cooking due to its vibrant use of fresh ingredients, particularly herbs, lemon, garlic, and olive oil, along with a strong emphasis on healthy, plant-based, and grilled dishes. It offers diverse, shareable, and nutrient-dense options such as tabbouleh, hummus, and falafel, making it both flavorful and nutritious. I always enjoy dining at Golden Grill because they exemplify Lebanese cuisine so well. Their dishes highlight fresh herbs like mint and parsley, along with garlic and lemon juice, rather than relying heavily on spices. The result is a light, refreshing, and aromatic flavor profile that feels both vibrant and balanced. The kebabs are excellent. The grilled cubes of beef, chicken, and kafta (ground beef and lamb) skewers are flavorful, tender, and juicy, topped with herbs and grilled to perfection. They carry a subtle smokiness and savory aroma, and the meats are beautifully charred with vibrant color. Their pita and saj sandwiches are also very well done. Each sandwich is warm and carefully assembled, forming a sturdy pocket filled with high-quality ingredients. They combine savory meats (or falafel and vegetables), creamy sauces, and crunchy pickles and onions into a balanced bite. The bread holds generous fillings without collapsing while still being tender enough to bite through easily. The pocket opens cleanly, creating the perfect pouch for the ingredients. For a small restaurant with limited seating that appears to receive many to-go orders, the presentation for dine-in guests is especially thoughtful. The dishes are served on clean white ceramic plates and trays, with the food carefully arranged and portions balanced. It is simple yet elegant and visually appealing. Golden Grill also captures the Lebanese mezze-style dining experience. As someone of Korean heritage, I appreciate this approach, since it is similar to how Korean meals are served with many shared dishes that provide variety in every meal. Some of the shared plates include Lebanese staples like hummus, falafel, tabbouleh, baba ghanouj, and fresh flatbread. Everything here tastes fresh and well-prepared, with distinct textures and aromatic flavors. The signature entrées come with two cold appetizers. The hummus is silky smooth, a velvety blend of garbanzo beans and tahini that almost melts in your mouth. The baba ghanouj is creamy, garlicky, and finished with olive oil. The tabbouleh is bright and balanced with lemon juice, garlic, and a generous drizzle of olive oil that ties together the citrusy and earthy flavors. The restaurant itself is clean, with tables and chairs wiped down quickly after guests leave. Service is friendly, welcoming, and helpful when placing orders. Prices are also reasonable, especially considering many competing Mediterranean restaurants do not place the same emphasis on presentation or on creating a mezze-style dining experience at no additional cost. While some may prefer other Mediterranean cuisines, I personally enjoy the fresh, light, and diverse flavors that Lebanese food offers. Golden Grill's citrus-forward dishes and extensive mezze options make it one of my favorite Mediterranean spots.
