Mike's Grill is probably one of the best places for tri-tip sandwiches. The meat is cooked to perfection it's super tender. I think it's actually better than Dog House. The one thing that Dog House has on Mike's is the quantity of meat that comes on a sandwich but the quality of the meat is by far better. I personally believe that Mike's top contender would be The Fire Pit. The Fire Pit also offers some amazing tri-tip sandwiches but it think it's sauce is better than Mike's. We had mikes for dinner last night, I'm giving it a 4 based on how much it cost us. Two tri tip sandwich's with two sides and two drinks cost us $30. For the amount of food you get it's pricey. The side is super small and there is not refills if you eat there. The tri tip and barbecue is delicious however. read more

Delicious and tender tri-tip served on what I think is garlic bread. The ribs are meaty and tender unlike other places. Flavor is consistent and I'm never disappointed when I stop by, that BBQ sauce is to die for. Lemonade was tart with just enough sweetness. Will be coming back to try the rest of the menu. read more

The tri-tip sandwich was good in a no-frills, straightforward, meat on a piece of bread way. For the price you really cannot complain too much considering the portion. However, either the meat rub or the garlic bread was entirely way too salty and I was disappointed that it tinged the overall quality of the meal. Order Tri tip sandwich and 1/2 rack of ribs and rice pilaf as the side. The tri tip sandwich was amazing. Meat was so tender and juicy, it was excellent on its own with out the bbq sauce, so I just occasionally dipped the sandwich in the bbq sauce. The pork ribs were excellent also. Lots of meat on each rib and the nest just fell off the bone. The pilaf was ok, it was a little on the dry side. But don't we go to a bbq restaurant for bbq and not the side. My daughter liked it. I am a fan of a more sweeter bbq sauce so I could change one thing that's all. But in all honesty the sauce was good. The tri-tip sandwiches are consistently good. The employees are consistently apathetic. I called in once because I was in a rush and was hoping the food could be ready by the time I got there. The teenager manning the kiosk told me there were no other customers in line and had a hard time understanding why I needed to place an order in advance. The tri-tip manages to be quite good despite the strong "I-Don't-Want-To-Be-Here" aura given off by the teenage employees who serve it. This place is delicious. We live right around the corner, so we had driven by so many times and always meant to stop. Well, we finally did and visited two more times in the same week. Their bbq sauce is on point and their tri-tip is perfection. The slaw on the pulled pork sandwich is also wonderful--it's got some sort of balsamic flavor to it, which I love. On the second visit, I asked if they could put the slaw on my trip-tip sandwich and they happily did so. It was delicious. The food is great, and the staff is friendly. Outdoor seating. It was worth the dollar extra for the extra meat. Meet tasted very good. Pulled pork sandwich was good sauce was a tad bit spicy. We asked for the slaw on the side and they forgot to give it to us. They forgot to give us our drink as well. I gave it a four because it is hard to find a good tri tip sandwich. Had the Tri-tip sandwich, which was good, however there was only two slices of meat for a $7.99 Sandwich. The Jumbo for $9.99 looked like the size of sandwich I should have gotten. Tried this place 2-23-19 and it is the best. Tri tip and rice pilaf was delicious. Then many people were ordering the chili beans so I decided to try them and they were very good. My wife is a very picky person and as soon as she tried it I went back and ordered another order for her, that's how delicious it was. The service is excellent. I usually look for tri tip or hot wing locations but this place takes it all. The down fall.. it's not a restaurant however they do have out side seats but everything else is great. All of the food that my family, friends and I have tried at Mike's Grill has been simply wonderful. We have done weekly food runs at work just because it is so good. Lets put it this way any place that can get a teenager off Xbox 360 just to get to Mike's Grill for the food is awesome. My teenager was out the door before I could grab my purse. Tri-tip the best hands down. No other place offers tri-tip this good. Sauce or no sauce well that depends if you like sauce. Pulled pork sandwich is unbelievable, so wonderful. Pulled pork can be ordered with the slaw on the side. Hot links are smoky goodness. Oh, and the sides are great. Chili is perfect. Have to say that I miss the mac salad and the potato salad they reminded me of summer cook outs when I was young. All of this time going to Mike's Grill I haven't tried the ribs...always in a hurry but one day I will try the ribs that made it to the regular menu. Tri-tip Sandwich was excellent! I enjoyed the BBQ sauce that came with it but it is on the sweet side. Also had the chili beans and potato salad. I did not like the beans. They just didn't have that homemade taste to them abd the potato salad was OK. Definitely recommend for the Tri-tip alone. Also was a little bummed it was a stand and not a sit down restuarant. Not a huge deal but I guess I didn't notice in the other reviews. It has a few sit down tables under a tent. read more
