They ruined four of my shirts and took no responsibility, but they returned my shirts with obvious loss of color and no stains taken out and they didn't even notify me before giving back the shirt. One of THE worst experiences I've had at a cleaners. I brought in an item that I asked to be altered and no accountability was taken for putting two holes in my shirt where the alteration was done. When I pointed out that it wasn't altered well, I was blamed for the holes. In addition, the owner took my shirt and refused to let me continue to inspect it. I had an extremely disheartening experience with what I'm assuming is the manger of this establishment. My mother briefly parked in their "designated" parking spot and while she may have violated a civil politeness, she did not violate any civic laws since businesses occupying public spaces for parking is illegal. The manager approached my mother aggressively, banged on her car and demanded that she move. Once agreeing to move, he continued to slam his hand on the car telling us we had no right to be there. His verbal and borderline physical harassment prompted my aunt to get out of the car and also ask him to stop touching the vehicle and yelling. At this point he began cursing, shouting vulgarities, told us we don't belong in the area (we are BLACK), and told us to go back to where we came from. My family has occupied residence in the area for over 30 years and has never faced such discrimination from a neighborhood business. read more

My wife and I were looking for a cleaners after moving back to Granada Hills. We saw an ad from Mike's Plaza cleaners for 10% off dress shirts with a maximum of $25 excluding leather and suede. I brought in two business dress shirts and they refused to honor the 10% dress shirt discount because they claimed it was only for dry cleaning. Dry cleaning was never mentioned in their ad. Falsified advertising. They were quite rude when we showed them the ad which did not specify dry clean only. What else won't they honor. They were advertising about discounts and specials so asked if they had any coupons I could apply as I just moved to Porter Ranch and didn't know where to get the coupons. "No coupons here. Unwrapped my clothes and they had long, deep wrinkles which can be common for off-plant cleaners where the clothes get tossed. In addition some of the shirts were buttoned, some not, no collar clips. I will never be using this dry cleaning service again. I dropped off my clothes on Thursday of last week, 3 items, one dress, one cardigan, and one blazer. The total for the three items was 33.20. I was told to return Wednesday to pick up the clothes. Upon picking the clothes up, I nothiced there was something in the zipper of my dress. I knew that the seam of the dress was coming loose again so I figured it was marked by the dry cleaner. Upon closer inspection I realized it was a piece of black fabric, either suede or fake velvet, that was stuck in the zipper area. It was a ripped piece of somebody else's clothing. Upon bringing the clothes home I took the three items out of the plastic bag and they STUNK I cannot emphasize how disgusting the smell was. I may as well have never dry cleaned them to begin with the odor was so strong. I can only guess the smell is a spice or some sort of food but it is quite disgusting. Lastly, during BOTH drip off and pickup, the owner or employee could not bother to look up from his poker game on his phone to bother paying any attention. I thought I would try this cleaners and brought the coupon for 30% off. It's right there on the website on the first page. The lady said sorry but Michael only will allow 20% off. I said it's right there on the website. Then she said she'd ask him and maybe she could adjust the price when I picked up the clothes. When I went back to pick up my clothes, she said she had asked him and he said no. I said he must not be interested in obtaining any new business, and that this was not okay to not honor the coupon on his own website! She said she would talk to him again and maybe he'd give me the discount next time I came in. Of course I said that, based on this bad business practice, I would NOT ever return. Clearly, he has no need for new business and no interest in his reviews by continuing to have such horrible service. Don't go there. If you're looking for incredibly poor customer service, a rude and greedy business owner who behaves like he's doing the customers a favor by letting them into his shop, and incredibly substandard cleaning and alteration services, this is the place for you. I wish I could give this establishment 0 stars, but I am forced to give them a star. This place does not have an onsite plant. The plant they send your clothes to uses very harsh chemicals that will tear the lining of your expensive suits. If you complain about a mistake they have made, the greedy, slimy owner will tell you he will "fix" it at a discount. Excuse me? If you made the mistake, why do I have to pay twice? If that's not acceptable, he will tell you that it's his shop and he doesn't need you. With cleaners being a dime a dozen, and two others just around the corner, this guy doesn't need any paying customers. Apparently, we should all be grateful he lets us through the door. Extremely rude and unprofessional owner. My parents took two jackets for alterations, we needed the sleeves to be shortened. After alterations, the sleeves on one jacket were significantly longer than the other jacket. Discussion ensued on whether the sleeves have actually been shortened on one of the jackets. All along the owner was not in and the workers accepted to work on the sleeves again. A week or so later when the alteration was done, we received a call from the owner who started yelling and calling us names and insulting us for apparently insulting his workers (with whom we had no problems at all). He even insulted my dad by telling him that he was a piece of shit! No one needs to hear this kind of crap from a dry cleaner. We will never, ever, go there again. In my humble opinion, the owner does not deserve to run any sort of shop because he lacks basic human skills and thinks it is his God given right to insult his customers. Even his own workers privately complain about his terrible personality and money pinching habits when they get to know you and when he is not there. Terrible, terrible experience. Not worth your nerves to deal with such a douche bag. You'd have a more enjoyable experience driving up to the corner of Tampa and Reseda and washing your clothes in the creek at the bottom of the hiking trail and letting them air dry on the trees. read more

I disregarded comments from a good friend who said this place was not reputable and decided to use them anyway as it was very convenient living in Porter Ranch. Things were OK until the owner and I had a discussion over whether or not I had paid for an item I had picked up separately on a previous order arose. It was my opinion and belief that I had paid and he contented I didn't. I requested to be shown the receipt and asked if he could produce some type of record. At which time he said I should go check my records. Uh....ok.....I said. When I was in the shop again, dropping off several more items just before Christmas, a very young girl was sweeping up and I handed her my 2 items. I guess this must have been a relative helping out. At this time the owner recognizes me and says "you didn't pay for the last order..I checked". Here's where it gets a bit interesting; as I am standing there thinking to myself that he has all my contact information, he could have easily of called? And why is he proclaiming this in front of this young girl and 2 other employees?! I choose not to engage him and completed the transaction with the girl. The owners extremely unprofessional manner in which he handled a simple discussion surprised me to no end. I was speechless. When I went to pick up my items the owner was helping a customer and a woman took my claim ticket and brought up my 2 items. Attached to their ticket was a hand written note with the amount the owner said I owed. Unbelievable! I waited until the customer and he completed their transaction and I began to tell the owner what I thought of him. Knowing full well that I would never come back. My advice is to avoid this place like the plague! You will inevitably run into a problem and be made to feel stupid, embarrassed, or be confronted as I was. There are ways to run a business and this character has no clue. Fresh Cleaners across the street is great and I will bring all my dry cleaning to them. I have been dealing with this cleaners for many years. A few weeks ago I brought in a Cystic Fibrosis T Shirt I wanted altered. I asked to have the sleeves shortened and the neckline made bigger. The estimate was for $ 14.00. The next day Mike (The Owner) called me and told me the neck couldn't be altered. I said very explicitly that I would be in the next day to pick the shirt up and not to do anything to it. When I came in I was told that the neckline could in fact be altered but it would cost $ 25.00 more. I said no! When I went to take my shirt I was told that the sleeves were done and I owed him $ 14.00 but he would give me a dicsount and charged me $ 12.00. I paid him and won't ever go there again. Mike, the owner, called me to tell me he closing soon and remembered I needed the clothes by today for my husband's trip. I've been going to Mike's for years, and so has my mother, for alterations, cleaning, you name it. My things are always well cleaned, and generally ready for pick up early, and Mike always gives me a discount. He remembers his customers and is a total sweetheart. I've seen people try to push him around, especially about trying to use his two parking spaces for the busy Whole Foods a couple doors down, and he is always very kind but firm. Carmen, the seamstress, and the other girl that work at the front are always sweet as well. In the ten years I've been going there (literally a couple of times a month, because I'm petite and get a lot of things tailored etc.) only once has something been off, and when I brought it back they fixed it for free.This is a good neighborhood place, with good people working in it! read more

I brought in several items as a new customer. The lady accepted my 50% off coupon for first time customers; which she applied. I picked up my items the following week, and Mike said the coupon doesn't apply. He charged me an additional $25 dollars. In addition to the unkept promise, they also didn't clean my blouse. When I brought it in, I pointed out the stained areas and the woman taped the spots. She never mentioned that stain removals aren't guaranteed. The least they could've done was let me know. They declined to mention it during pick up and he says its not something they inform their customers. Terrible customer service. Mike wasn't helpful, talked over me and I will never go back here again. Also, they are extremely expensive. read more
