I ate here maybe a total of four times over the years. Now I know why. I didn't learn my lesson the first three times apparently. I usually eat at Pete's Roast Beef a couple doors down from this place and very rarely been disappointed. I usually came to Mike's because Pete's was closed or there was no parking spaces left. After my last eating experience here, I'll park across the street from Pete's or go somewhere else entirely, but it sure as heck won't be this establishment. I usually got chicken fingers or subs the few times I been here. They DO fill the subs with plenty of meat, it's just not great meat. Bland, overcooked, or in the case of my last visit, just plain awful." Large Meatball Parm sub, toasted please!" Got home, opened up the wrapper...*sigh... not toasted. Soggy generic bread like sub roll, Meatballs...I take that back, meat blocks, I take it they make pans of ground beef and then slice them up for their meatballs. And I take it they don't think of adding any spices to the meat either beforehand. Grey chunks of bland hamburg inside the sub with one thin slice of Parmesan cheese and a couple tablespoons of plain dollar store brand tomato sauce to round out this submarine sandwich disaster. My idea of the ideal meatball sub; Toasted bread from a reputable popular local bakery to keep the sub from getting soggy and to add flavor, who doesn't like toasted anything? Freshly made meatballs with some Italian spices to compliment the mildness of lots of gooey melted cheese. Sweet tomato sauce to combat the spices. Mike's is the exact opposite of all of those. The chicken fingers are also tasteless and are the shape of medium sized deformed calamari slices. Circular chicken fingers? For the love of all that's holy, why? Why? The rest of their menu? Someone else will have to give a review on that, I'm done with this place forever. read more

Everything I have tried here has been GREAT, first decent sub place I found around Woburn/Burlington. Always hot & fresh. They're fast & efficient as well. Messed up my order one time (it was online order & really was my own fault) they offered me a credit or a new sub immediately, didn't matter who's fault they just want you to be satisfied. 10/10 recommend read more

The food, especially the salads and sweet sauce pizza, is good. The service leaves a lot to be desired. One time is a mistake, twice is a habit. Twice I have had delivery paid for by credit card. I tip in cash and write as much in. The Mike's staff added a tip to my credit card (not the delivery fee, that's already included), it's like they do this for $2 or $3 (even after I just gave them $3 cash) to every credit card payment without knowledge of the consumer. I only found out by checking my bank statements since I pay with my debit card. Twice??? C'mon? Not two "accidents". We will just use cash. And hope the management stops this practice. read more

Living in Burlington for over 10 years. This BLDG went through a lot of business and I didnt want to stop in here because of all the turnover. My co-workers raved about this place. Im glad i stopped in here. The steak-n-cheese subs are the bomb dot com. I dont eat roast beef but everyone in our group said they were amazing. The place is very clean. This place is by far the best take out in Woburn. The menu is huge with lots of options. It takes a little wait to get your order but well worth it. The steak and cheese is really good as well as the buffalo chicken with bleu cheese sub. The marinated chicken wrap looked good too .. Thats next to get when we go back. Be prepared to take 10 mins or more to read the menu and another 15 mins to get your order. Big screen tv's help to pass the time. Food is good, management and the owner are horrible. We order multiple times per week and today I placed an order for 5 people's lunches they messed it up. It happens, the driver told us to keep the mess up and he will have someone deliver the correct food. Ok fair enough. I get a call from the manager/owner who apparently just took over and she refused to bring the corrected food unless all of the wrong stuff was returned. Then she over charged us and said since we have to come back there will be no credit. They are bringing the right food now but still refuse to credit the over charge. I have always ordered the roast beef sandwich. It was a huge sandwich for the smallest size. One time, I decided to order a chicken BLT. When I saw how it's stacked high, I was wondering how I could possibly eat this sandwich! There were 4 chicken filets and strips of bacon and then the fixings. I had to deconstruct the sandwich making it so unenjoyable to eat. I think Mike's is good. They have a huge menu but I think some of the items in the menu are more or less the same. I honestly don't want to attempt to order something different there aside from the roast beef sandwich (would be good with au jus) because I am afraid to open my food and be surprised with the humongous meal. We've been doing Mike's delivery at least once a week for several years now. Although their prices have always been a little on the high side, the sandwiches were overstuffed and the quality was excellent. However, in the last few weeks, quality is still ok but large subs are filled very skimpy. $10 to $11 for a sub with skimpy filling is just not acceptable. When it happened the first time last week, we thought they might have a new employee who didn't know how Mike's did things. However, this week we have had the same experience. The food is good, particularly the Super Beef, however... I have ordered here roughly 10 times. They have mixed up the order, or given me the wrong food almost every single time... Recently, the kid taking my order messed up and blamed the kitchen. After messing up the order again, keeping me in the restaurant for nearly 30 minutes, the kid at the counter tells me, "Sorry, the kitchen doesn't speak English." No, kid, as evidenced by the receipt, you punched in the wrong order. Twice... Furthermore, and worst of all, I once attempted to order ice cream and the girl serving it had the dirtiest hands/fingernails I have ever seen. I live in Woburn been meaning to try to this place for time but I'm so stuck on the same 3 places me and my family love but I decided to give it a try and I def won't be back. The pizza reminded me of Chuckie Cheese kid pizza, something you'd buy for a kids Birthday. My son ordered a large steak and cheese and it was def LARGE packed with steak to the point you couldn't pick it up but it was dry and bland, no cheese in sight and the only way to save the sub is he added a lot of salt to give it some flavor, the LARGE price matched the LARGE dry sub. Glad I finally tried it but I'll be sticking my original favs for pizza/subs in the Woburn area. I did notice the prices on the menu seemed a bit high in comparison to several other places I go to with amazing food. read more

Possibly the best food I've ever had, I went there three times while I was taking drivers ed class on my lunch break, and I haven't gone wrong with one thing I've ordered. I'd love to leave five stars for this place, the food is phenomenal for a pizzeria. The pita bread whatever it is, omg. I could eat it all day. But I've ordered from here quite a few times and every single time they mess something up. "No eggs on the salad but leave the goat cheese" and they took off the goat cheese and left the eggs. "Beet salad with the vinaigrette it comes with" (I made sure to specify because last time they forgot) and nope... no vinaigrette. "The power protein salad with no chicken please" and they didn't put the eggs on it... last time I checked it has to be hatched to actually be a chicken. They don't know how to either take orders or read the orders but it's beyond frustrating. A few more mess ups and I'm going back to my other place when I order out at work. read more

AMAZING doesn't come close to explaining the food here at mikes ! I'm from the city recently moved to Woburn and this place is literally EVERYTHING! Not to many options here in Woburn with such a variety , they have everything you could think of and more which is the best !! My family has ordered from here at least ten times since they opened. I'm surprised there aren't more positive reviews. We have tried every sub shop in town and believe Mike's to be far superior to anything else around. Portions are very generous, a rarity in this town. Also, their salads are awesome. I'm a big fan of their "power salad" which is similar to a chicken kabob except for the fact that it comes with goat cheese and real salad greens (not iceberg). Been to Mike's in the past and it was alright. Their pita bread is far the best I've had. It is fluffy and fresh. However, this time I ordered a Chicken Avocado BLT Wrap - my co worker got the same thing. It was alright, the chicken in my opinion was over seasoned, however, the wrap itself was not flavorful. I also ordered a large fry well done. The fries were in a Styrofoam box which made them extremely soggy. I couldn't even eat them for lunch. I am going to have to bring them home and reheat them later. When we went to pick it up(we ordered over the phone), the guy at the front said that someone had already paid for it. What had happened was there was two different orders with the same name. When the other person came to pick up their order, they paid for mine instead of theirs. It was about a $20 difference. The manager came over and had to redo the order on the computer and which took an extra 10 minutes for us to pay and leave. I feel bad that they messed up and the other person didn't pay the full amount that they were supposed too. I may or may not go back there to try something else - the last time I went there I got a Cesar salad with buffalo chicken tenders. The tenders were dry and there was barely any hot sauce on them. I am baffled by the poor review for Mikes. We've been ordering from here at least weekly since they opened and have been happy with every order to date. House favorites are the chicken and steak kabob salad, broccoli bites and chicken kabob wrap. The salad comes with a huge potion of meat and they cook the steak to your specification and is easily big enough for two people. The pita and dressing that comes with it can't be beat and often request extras. We also like their subs/wraps and there is something for everyone. We've had the steak/cheese, Italian, and chicken finger sub and it was on point every time (plenty of cheese in the steak and cheese). The roast beef plate is a great value with a huge sandwich and enough fries/onion rings to share with the family. We've tried the pizza a couple of times and it's pretty good, I like that they have regular and sweet sauce and both have been crowd pleasers. Personally I prefer brick oven/coal fire pizza but Mikes is more of your standard delivery pizza style with plenty of toppings and my family has liked it. Their delivery has been quick and the food hot and fresh the few times I've ordered delivery instead of pick up. I subtracted one star because I can't order online and I've had mixed experiences with the folks on the phone understanding me without repeating myself. All in all I will continue to make Mikes my go to place. in fact my wife just walked in with lunch from there and I can't wait to eat it. read more

Tried to call in a lunch order. I ordered a salad and asked the person on the phone to let the kitchen know that I have a gluten allergy (nothing in the salad contained wheat). She rudely said that they "don't have nothing with no gluten". I explained that the salad didn't contain any ingredients with gluten, she insisted that they would not take my order because "they don't deal with no gluten". I asked for the manager, he said that I could "maybe have the salad if they removed the walnuts, because walnuts are made of wheat". Obviously, my trust in their food handling is out the window. Of course, they don't say that as they look at each other and say it will be just a few more minutes. We've ordered from here once before and I was pleasantly surprised with the food quality but the great customer service experience was lacking. So we decided to give another try Last night I called to order two subs and the woman who answered the phone didn't greet me well nor was her tone friendly but I proceeded to order anyway. Once my order was complete I informed her I would be using a card to pay, she asked for my card number and I gave it to her. She said she had a hard time hearing me, so I repeat the number again and still she says she can't hear, well after 4 attempts you can imagine I'm now frustrated. She passes the phone to some guy he asks the same questions and I give him the numbers and apparently he cannot hear either. It is 2018 if you had online ordering this would not be a problem you have your workers answering phones in the kitchen with the grill and all other kinds of noises and expect customers to have to yell for them to hear. So I tell them to cancel the order and I hang up. I end up ordering from another restaurant thru UBER EATS and everything worked perfectly fine. 20 minutes later my doorbell rings and I'm expecting and Uber delivery driver no it is the driver from mikes with the order I CANCELLED insisting that I pay cash. I don't know what kind of business/ customer service training your employees undergo but it definitely needs to be re-evaluated! We definitely won't be ordering again. read more

Let me start by saying the 4 or 5 times I've picked up food at Mike's, it been decent. That's not the problem I have with this place. The problem I have there is, everytime I go to pick up my food, one of the kids take's my money, give's me my receipt and...... that's it, NO "THANK YOU" or anything. I find this very off putting. Kind of rude, not a simple thank you or have a good night or anything. One time I said something, and the KIDS looked at me like I have 3 heads.
