    Garlic bread
    Christopher K.

Omg! Never knew such a delectable dessert existed. If you have never had it...Salted bread is a must try and the garlic salted bread should be illegal because it is completely addicting. Its sweet, crisp, chewy and everything good under the sun that makes you wanting more bite after bite. Before you know it, you'll have eaten 2,3,4 of em and find yourself back in line to buy more. Yaaas, I will def be back for moar, 2 yumz up!

Milldang is a trendy Korean - French bakery and cafe in Santa Clara . It is known for its freshly baked salted breads . Inside decorations are cute and cozy , light- filled tables and serene space . Their signature salted bread is made with imported French butter and flour and salt . It features a crispy bottom and a soft , buttery interior. Popular versions includes mentaiko , green onion cream cheese , and garlic cheese . They limit 4 items per person . The store differs other treats like pain suisse Au chocolat , light fruit cakes ( grapes and mango ) , Basque cheese cakes , red bean mochi ( tapioca ball ) The salty croissant was a bit too salty for me and lacking the rich butter flavor. It felt very dry when I bite and chewed the bread. It is very hard to find parking . For myself it is not worth the hassle to come again .

I came in wondering how a bakery could survive on the salt bread craze alone. I left understanding. Honestly, I only stopped by because I was waiting for the restaurant next door, so expectations were pretty low. I ended up getting the mentaiko and garlic salt bread, and both were way better than I expected. The mentaiko was the standout for me. It had a nice savory kick that worked really well with the slightly sweet bread. The garlic was good too, but I'd definitely want to catch the mentaiko fresh next time.

This bakery took over the old village bakery. I used to go to village bakery for their mugwort roll cake :( was one of my favorite! The new Milldang bakery had many salt bread options so I decided to try various flavors (red bean and butter, garlic, dubai chocolate and mentaiko. They were all pretty good! The staff were nice and friendly. The parking in this plaza gets super full during the peak times due to Giwa next door and other shops.

Not sure about the lines everyone complains about as we came on a weekend afternoon and walked right in without any line. They were well stocked and had every single option still available too! We tried the mentaiko salt bread, as well as the cream cheese one. The mentaiko is definitely the highlight, while the cream cheese one could probably use a little more filling. Would highly recommend and we are definitely coming back!

I came on a Friday afternoon to finally try this bakery after seeing it go viral on social media and the crazy wait times and previous limits on quantities. Be warned that if you plan to go during peak times or the weekends, parking will be tight. While there is a dedicated parking lot, it is shared with multiple restaurants and completion. There is no longer a limit on the quantity of salt bread you may purchase, but that may be a sign as to the hype dying down. While there was stock for most of the items inside, it was obvious that they weren't freshly baked recently. The bread had started to harden by the time I was there and it didn't scream fresh and warm. I have had much better. I got the egg tart, original salt bread, a garlic salt bread, and a mentaiko salt bread. Since all were fairly hard already, I had to reheat ~15 seconds in the microwave to get the bread soft again. Maybe it's because the bread wasn't fresh and then had to be reheated, but it honestly wasn't worth the hype for me. There is limited seating inside but overall a cute little bakery.

Such a cute cafe with a great variety of pastries & coffee! Milldang had everything from salt bread to croissants to basque cheesecake. When you walk in you can browse their daily items & select yours on a tray to bring up. The staff will box them up for you / make any drinks (I got an iced vanilla latte which I liked). There's a solid amount of seating as well / a very nice aesthetic, though I just stopped by on my way to work. My favorite item was the strawberry ribbon pastry!

Hmmmm i had high expectations but it didn't exceed... I really like bread and always crave for some. I have wanted to go here as the last time the line was too long for me. I finally went and got some savory salt bread, the strawberry ribbon looking croissant, and a freebie. The salt bread is meh. I gave salt breads so many chances, and we are not matching in our tastebuds. The ribbon one was interesting, but the filling was lacking. The bread wasn't cheap. If you have to wait in line, I am not sure whether it's still worth it ...

BUTTER late than never. I remember seeing this spot blow up all over my social media but I did not want to be in that 1-3hr wait. Luckily came on a thursday at 11am, no wait and pretty stocked on their pastries French patries with a Korean twist .::Pastries::. I def recommend reheating the salt bread to eat it more fresh and hot. .:: Parking/ Service/ Ambiance ::. Parking can be terrible if its prime time as its quite limited but they do have an extended parking in the back. Luckily I got front row parking on a thursday morning. The staff were super kind and gave me their recs when I asked. The interior is too adorable. very cute french cafe vibes.

I've been wanting to try salted bread for a while, so I stopped by this place. It's such a cute little place, not a whole lot of stuff to choose from. I got their plane, garlic butter, and cream cheese and onion and a plain croissant. The salt bread was good, had good flavor, but I don't know I thought it was supposed to be crunchy almost like croissant type texture. The croissant on the other hand was the way it's supposed to be meant crunchy and flaky. Nonetheless the bread was good I was just expecting the texture to be so much more different and not so soft.

I understand the hype now!!! Not only is the salt bread insanely buttery and tasty, the Sweet Potato Cake was phenomenal! I would recommend this to anyone! Korean sweet potato in a luscious cream cake? How could I not give it a try?? Perfect birthday cake for my bestie. Of the salt breads I tried, all of them were amazing. I loved the texture and crispy bottom! My favorite being the Mentaiko Salt Bread. On the greasy and heavy side, but so so so good. A guilty pleasure for sure.

Amazing salt bread! One of my favorites that I've tried. The fillings are fantastic. Interior is pretty cute, nice spot to chat or get work done. Service and cashier were all very friendly! 10/10!

Delicious salt bread and different flavors! I really liked the mentaiko salt bread and the garlic cream cheese salt bread. There's a limit of 4 assorted salt bread, or max 2 original salt bread.

Each bite was delicious, everything tasted freshly baked and made, and I especially loved that the pastries weren't overly sweet. Although we enjoyed eating the tower from top to bottom, next time we would probably go from bottom to top since we like to save our sweets for last! Of course, we couldn't leave without getting more pastries to bring home. They have plenty of classic pastries, like croissants, along with more unique specialties, like their croissant cube. Everything looked and tasted so fresh, with that perfect flaky, crackly texture. The pastries are a little pricey for bakery items, but in my opinion, they're definitely worth it for the quality and freshness. Overall, we had such a lovely time celebrating my grandma's birthday here and would definitely come back for more pastries!

I started with a Cappuccino 16oz (creamy, rich, and the perfect morning pick-me-up) and a Caramel Macchiato 16oz with oat milk for a smooth, slightly sweet twist. The pastries were next-level: the Mango Cream Donut was light, fluffy, and bursting with fruity goodness, and the Guava Danish was perfectly flaky and sweet with just the right hint of tropical flavor. *Tina's Tips: - Grab a tray, tongs, and parchment paper to make picking your pastries fun and easy. - Add all the pastries you want and checkout at the counter. - If you buy a cake, ask them to hold it while you enjoy your coffee and treats in the café. It was a 3-layer vanilla cake filled with lemon mousse, covered in buttercream and white chocolate bark pieces, and topped with 10 blueberries. This flavor can be found on their website catalog. I don't know if this is typical for this bakery, but the cake was heavy, claggy on the bottom, and way too sweet. The lemon mousse tasted incredibly strange, as if it were artificial or maybe had some kind of herb or weird flavoring added. The less said about the cream, the better. They added just enough nuttiness and reminded me of a soft nougat, balancing out the sweetness without stealing the spotlight. The monster size is equally impressive. It's about the size of those Costco food court cookies... except better. It has a slight crisp on the outside, stays soft in the center, and every bite is packed with melty chocolate and pecan again. White Chocolate Pecan The white chocolate pecan is similar to the chocolate chip version, but with white chocolate instead. It has the same soft texture and balanced sweetness, and if you enjoy white chocolate, it's a solid option. Salted Chocolate Chip The salted chocolate chip was the only flavor that didn't quite hit for me. It's flatter, almost like a smash burger patty, and while I know it doesn't use dark chocolate, I picked up a slight bitterness. The salt also came on a little stronger than I prefer. My fiancée actually liked this one more than I did, so this may just come down to personal taste again. The prices are fair, the owner is a cool dude, and after several orders they've earned my trust. I still have a few flavors left to try, but if they're anywhere near the chocolate chip pecan, I'm not too worried. I'll definitely be placing another order soon.
