Their French cuisine and baked goods were fresh and flavorful! This is a popular spot with first come first serve seating, cafe style, so expect a short wait and keep your eyes open for tables opening up. There's a nice patio in the back where you can bring your furbaby. Don't skip dessert, you'll want to try something from their bakery! Went to Mille while visiting family in Los Alamos, packed up and made the drive to Santa Fe. Walked into Mille and was greater by a friendly but busy employee. First thing I noticed was the impressive dessert counter, loaded with pastries and cookies. Looked over the menu full of crepes and other brunch type foods. I decided on the Quiche Lorain which comes with a small side salad. I also ordered a quad latte over ice which was served as a hot latte. The rest of the group ordered a variety of other offering ranging from crepes to salads. After waiting in a line that reached the Mack of the building we places our order and my wife picked their pastry counter bare. The food arrived surprisingly quickly and tasted really good. The quiche was fluffy and tasted really good. The sweet crapes looked great. Over all, besides being busy as heck and making a small mistake on my coffee, everything was really good. read more

Mille is one of the few restaurants (if not only) in the US where I felt like I was eating authentic French food that matched the quality and taste of eating in France. My party tried food off the brunch menu, a savory crepe, croissants, and pastries. Everything was absolutely delicious, and very reasonably priced for the quality. The croque Madame was the best I've ever had, and the croissants are truly on par with Europe. I haven't tried anything off the lunch menu. Mille is counter service, so it's a bit more on the casual side in that respect. If you're looking for a fancy full service sit-down restaurant, you'd probably be best off going elsewhere. But if you want amazing French food at reasonable prices, Mille is phenomenal. read more

Or, you can sit in the semi-outdoors at the rear of the main restaurant. Order at the counter and the food is brought to wherever you sit.aSSSS The Croque Madame and Croque Monsieur (pictured) were a welcome change from the usual green chili burgers and were topped with loads of delicious cheese. There are Wonderful looking pastries, should you be in the mood for something sweet to nibble on with your coffee. They serve crepes, which I will have to try the next time. There are numerous coffee choices. My latte was terrific and it reminded me why I shouldn't stop at Starbucks so frequently. They also have a variety of cold drinks, including, of course, Perrier. It's a bit awkward to try to maneuver around the staff and the kitchen to get to the restrooms which are in the back of the house. So, it's difficult for folks with a handicap. As is getting to the back porch seating which has steps but no handrail. What a nice surprise to return to Santa Fe on vacation and found Mille! They opened a year ago and we enjoyed having breakfast there for the first time today. Mille is an authentic French cafe where you order at the counter and your items are brought to you. However, you must grab your own silverware, napkins, and water. They have indoor and outdoor seating with heaters on the patio to keep you toasty. Weekends are very busy and it seems like they are still working out some kinks in the service, but I have been very pleased during all my visits. Hot items are made to order, but I do wish that pastries were provided right away by the cashier so we can nibble on something while we wait. I also noticed that when ordering a Perrier, sometimes it was given immediately and other times with our hot items with a glass of ice provided. Another minor thing I noticed was that extra plates weren't given when we ordered the Brunch for Two so it was kind of difficult to cut the baguette and split the quiches. The overall ambiance here is very pleasant and all the workers have been super kind. What stands out most of all is the food. Mille is my go to spot for croissants. Both the plain and chocolate are fantastic and flaky with so much buttery goodness in the flavor. It's definitely the best place in Santa Fe for French pastries and brunch items. The butter and jams are out of this world and definitely a must try on the baguette. The croque madame is a favorite hot item of mine. It's served with a delicious and rich béchamel sauce and a nice side salad to balance it out. I would love if they could add the option for some extra protein besides an egg but no big deal. The mussels and frites are fantastic. The white wine broth is perfect for soaking your fries and baguette in. The crepes are also terrific and I love that they offer a buckwheat flour option if you're in the mood for something healthier. Mille is a French bakery and café near the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe featuring a menu a French classics like crêpes and quiches at breakfast and standard brasserie fare at lunch, along with pastries and viennoiseries. Torn between ordering a crêpe or one of my favorite items, a Monte Cristo sandwich, I opted for the Monte Cristo crêpe: This was somewhat less than satisfying, likely due to the addition of Brie to the normal ingredients. I am not a big fan of either Brie or Camembert, so I found its addition slightly off-putting, but the crêpe itself was perfectly executed. And Mille's pastries were excellent. The atmosphere was warm on the chilly Santa Fe morning, as was the service. It was a wonderful place for breakfast, and, in warmer weather, I'm sure the outside terrace is lovely. My breakfasts in Santa Fe were probably the most consistently satisfying meals I had there, and Mille was one of the reasons why. read more

I don't have much experience with French food, but one step into this place gave me the vibe that I just transported into a French cafe. I experienced a pleasant whiff of baked goods and coffee. I cursed myself for already getting a coffee ahead of time since their lattes looked so good! Lots of outdoor seating, so we decided to sit outside. I got the Croque Madame which was basically like a grilled cheese with ham and egg which I thought was DELIGHTFUL but also OH SO FILLING. I was extremely bloated by the time I finished. (I did not finish) We also shared the steak tartare. At first, I was a little unimpressed when I ate it with the bread because I thought it was a little bland. But when I tried it with fries, IT WAS A TASTE FROM ANOTHER WORLD. An absolute genius combination where the salt from fries was a perfect amount to eat with the steak tartare and I just could not stop eating it. And honestly a singular brunch at Mille isn't enough time. I wanted to camp here to explore the entire menu (including the Jambon-Beurre that was the same sandwich in Twin Peaks). If that steak tartare gave me a taste of another world, I bet there's another item here that would give me a taste from another galaxy. read more

Rather than focus on yelp reviews, I suggest you focus on your soggy, doughy, Croque Monsieur, the incessant beeping of your convection oven, and why your desserts appear to be three or four days old. If you could look beyond your Gaelic nose and stop digging your feet in, you'd see you're missing an opportunity. Honestly, is there anything more annoying than a stubborn Frenchman? My mom and I stopped here for lunch. It's a cute restaurant, but the food was a miss for us. Neither of us like the Croque Monsieur. It was very mushy and bland. The tuna nicoise was decent, but the anchovies made it very fishy. Overall, we decided the free bread that accompanied the meal was better than the meal itself. We like the food here it tastes authentic and we love the crepes and the croque madam. It is very busy every time we go so the line is usually pretty long. (Edit) I originally left a review about the seating situation but it seems they read the review and put signage on the tables for people to wait to sit until they have ordered (which I love that they are responsive to feedback!) .
