Came with a group of 4 and I ordered the Ham sausage and bacon omelet, comes with roasted potatoes. It was good, there wasn't much sausage in the omelet. It was tasty however. My GF ordered the Quiche Lorraine and she was very pleased with it. Our friends each ordered Corned beef Benedict and the Corned beef and eggs platter. Both were really happy with the meals. As a funsie, we asked for an order of the crepes. Cheesefilled and with cutup fresh fruit, it was decadant. We came in after watching the Great Reno Balloon Race at 8:45. No line, no wait. Good service. Mimosas had way too much orange juice in them. My preference is just a splash in my champagne. This seemed to be the opposite. Other than that it was a good meal and I definitely would return. Go try it and see!

We were there for early breakfast and found Mimi's Cafe beautiful setting. Settled in Kietzke Lane, the place itself is beautiful and i find their interior that of an impeccable taste. Maria was this calm lady that took our order. She was graceful and soft spoken, the kind you'd want as a host of your little party. She checked on us a lot just how a good hostess could be. Our food came about 15 minutes later and it was just as comforting we thought it would. I ordered the Dubai Chocolate Pancakes. It was a normal pancake but soft and beautifully presented. I also had medium eggs and ham on the side. I truly enjoyed the experience. My husband had French toast. We had an enjoyable time on our usual slow Sunday morning. And i can't end this without mentioning Maria sending us a little token of appreciation. She gave us free muffins on our way out. I have been to different places as first visit but we never had a token except from this place. Much appreciation. We will visit you guys again soon!

They have a really good menu with a three course dinner meal. The breakfast include an option for a toast or a muffin. Pick the muffin and ask for the seasonal muffin. At the time that I was there, the muffin was Dubai chocolate and it was delicious. Breakfast are so large that you should probably split them. Skip the eggs and go for the eggs only and get the super monstrous pancakes or waffles platter with the eggs, side, order of meat and hashbrowns. Only, for this amount of food, you split it with your café partner.

Came in here wanting to try out their seasonal Dubai desserts. They were so good and the portion of the pancakes was a lot that we had to split it up into thirds. The muffin was also very good too. Service was nice, we got greeted and sat down right away. Highly recommend these 2. Items since they're only a seasonal thing.

This little Reno diner was exactly what I needed after an early start. I popped in for lunch, drawn by the promise of all-day breakfast and a cozy, welcoming vibe. The coffee was excellent--strong, hot, and definitely hit the spot. The team here couldn't have been friendlier, creating a genuinely warm atmosphere. They even sent me off with a free pumpkin muffin when they heard I was heading to the airport. Reasonable prices, solid diner fare, and that kind of kindness make this place a quality spot to drop into anytime you're in town.

When I go to a new restaurant for breakfast I usually order huevos rancheros. Although the picture it doesn't do it justice, this was the best huevos rancheros that I have ever had. The corn tortilla was crispy, the avocados which you can't see in the photo were plentiful, the eggs were perfect. At 10:00 on a Thursday morning the service was outstanding the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. I can't wait to go back.

My husband and I went for brunch one day. It was delicious and service was great. It was very chill and clean inside.

I forgot to leave a tip after ordering some deserts for my family, but they deserved one AND a review. They have great presentation and customer service. I came to pick up when they were training how to finish my yummy delicious crème brûlée and it was a joy to watch, followed by great conversation. I hope everyone is doing as amazing as their deserts! Next time i'll be remembering my tip

Same visit, but forgot an important point. They no longer have a Happy Hour. Found out when I asked for the happy hour menu so I could take a picture. Otherwise I enjoyed the NOLA themed ambience. Bon Appetite!

First time at Mimi's after a poor experience at another local breakfast place in Reno that I've been frequenting for the past 4 years. ( I won't mention the place...I have been loyal to them for years) I brought a $100.00 bill to pay for my meal and give a tip...I always tip great...I wanted to show the staff that I appreciate them, there must have been a change there and it wasn't good. ......so......I Thought I'd try Mimi's Cafe.....Boy! am I glad I did!! I have a new favorite! I was seated quickly, the waiter was super friendly and attended to my dietary restrictions. Very clean and pleasant atmosphere with upbeat music. Not gonna lie...I'm glad the other place drooped the service and quality ball....I found a calm and peaceful place to have a comforting meal with staff that genuinely care! This is my new go-to breakfast/lunch spot!! The waiter checked on me frequently, he to provided a perfect experience! The wings and shrimp were cooked to perfection and to my dietary needs. Sometimes a bad experience turns into an opportunity to do something different. I am so happy that I chose Mimi's!!!

Mimi's cafe, although a chain is a great option for some good food. When we arrived we were seated immediately. Our server was Byron who was very attentive, professional and just altogether on top of the service he provided. Our food was good, prepared fresh and warm within a reasonable time. It is a little pricey but considering the quality of customer service that was provided it's fine. Will be back.

I suggested Mimi's specifically for the FOS (French Onion Soup ) and was pleasantly surprised with the crunchy of the tempura. 5p on Saturday afternoon, and it was quiet enough to hear each other within our booth. Our server was a little but much and over-the-top; he tried super hard to be helpful and make small talk with us and just didn't seem natural.

Our waiter Lee was a familiar face and very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The menu was full of fabulous choices and I just couldn't resist the foie gras appetizer. I've never tasted foie Gras prepared this way. I was not disappointed. Lovely seared four gras sitting upon a bed of lentils with a beautiful consommé poured over top. A few mushrooms were sat into this lovely mix. Dredged bread, slice of foie and lentils topped with a slice of mushroom. YUM Washed down with an extraordinary Grand Cru...oof! Staff were very attentive and helpful. Drinks were served promptly. We chose bacon wrapped dates to start (delicious) . Husband chose seafood appetizer and I chose the French onion soup. Both very good but my soup was barely warm which was disappointing. Husband chose filet steak as main course and I had the scallops. Tried his steak and it was excellent. My scallops were tasty but they were placed on some mashed potato that was the consistency of soup as it had mixed with the liquid from the cooked tomatoes giving it a very unpleasant taste and presentation. Again, the meal was barely warm although the plate was red hot (!). We decided against desert finishing the meal instead with coffee. Sad to say, again, the coffee was barely warm and I needed to drink it right away before it cooled even more. The ambiance and service were good and you may wonder why I didn't address the barely warm food and watery mashed potato with the waiter......the restaurant became very busy and is obviously very popular. I didn't want to disrupt the other diners with constant complaints - it has a very intimate vibe and tables are relatively close. Wimpish reason I know but why disturb other diners experience. I would be tempted to maybe give it a second chance but have to say that overall it was not a memorable evening.

It was due to the seasoning. However, it was packed with a variety of flavors. It wasn't dry and loose, which is what I have encountered at a few other places. All in all, there was so much in it that it was difficult to evaluate what I was eating, which is a good thing. It means I'll have it again :). It functioned as a whole rather than as separated ingredients to give a complex flavor profile, which I appreciated. The fries were seasoned beautifully. Very savory. I enjoyed them. Cooked wonderfully as well. The tortilla chips in the nachos.. I don't know if they were made there or not, but they gave the impression of being store-bought. The quality was not great. The nachos themselves... plenty of ingredients that you can mix together, but the ingredients weren't like a complete package. They were like a pile of separate things. I expect a well-balanced mixture of ingredients. The layer of queso was below while the avocado was clumped up at the top. The ingredients separately were quite bland. I wouldn't have this again. The brownie was better than a flourless chocolate torte and quite large. I enjoyed it, though I would say that it's not as good as a more standard brownie. I wouldn't have this again.
