This is the best Chinese food restaurant I've ever gone to! The food is so good and their service is great! And, they have incredible lunch specials. I recommend any of the following (my personal favorites, though I know you can't go wrong with anything on their menu); Kung Pao Chicken, Broccoli with Beef, Mongolian Beef, Chicken with Black Bean Sauce on Chow Fun Noodles, Crispy Ginger Chicken, and Honey Walnut Prawns. One of our favorite Chinese restaurants in the area! The staff is always friendly, especially the owner who seems to be there every time I've been. Favorites are beef chow fun and crispy ginger chicken, although I've never had anything bad here. They are closed Monday's and they can get very busy Thursday- Saturday nights, so plan ahead. If we order take out, I usually plan for at least 40 minutes. Totally worth the wait though!! read more

we are always wanting to find good Chinese food. well this was not the place. recommended by a friend, we tried it one day. the soup was lukewarm and the potstickers were gummy and thick wrappers. the chicken and mushrooms were not seasoned what so ever. the beef with veggies super simple and tasted odd.there was a sauce that just didn't sit well.not sure what to think of this place there were tins of people waking in and out and I was just surprised to see how much people ordered the fried dishes, maybe that's what we should have ordered, was all fired things.well we wont go back there. read more

This chinese restaurant is our favorite in PH. The food is always served hot and crunchy and fresh. The service is excellent and we appreciate how quick their delivery service is too! We order 'delivery' quite often and the food always arrives within 20 minutes still hot and delicious. Our favorite dishes are: war wonton soup, hot & sour soup, honey walnut prawns, chicken w/mixed veggies, sweet and sour pork and the spicy garlic egglant. We went for lunch yesterday and absolutely hated the potstickers, the filling was strange. The noodles were bland as well as the crispy ginger prawns, not crispy no ginger flavor, blah. The lemon chicken was a bit better but not by much. The eggroll that came with the lunch plate was good. I don't think we will be back. read more

Service for one: only did two appetizers which threw the wait staff for a loop because I wanted to order one at a time plus having the menu on the table caused mass confusion. 5 wait staff asking if I was ready to place my order. I explained patiently to each that I had order the pork buns and I wasn't sure what if anything and I would order the next dish when ready. Stopped several staff from taking my menu. But a stealth wait staff got that menu without my looking. So when it was time to select my next dish I requested the menu. After scouring the local Chinese restaurants I finally settled on Ming's in Pleasant Hill. I have passed this place a hundred times and never stopped. There are other places right across the street I have not tried either. So away I went to try Ming's. The Hot and sour soup good, one of my measurement sticks for Chinese. I ordered the Kung Pao Combo. The meal was generous, cooked well, not greasy and I was very satisfied when finished. This restaurant is where the police and local employees eat. The egg rolls are normal size and were presented crispy and hot. The fried rice was a little on the plain side, not offensive just subtle. The interior of the place was pleasant with a very nice aquarium at the entrance. Will try some of the other fare next time. read more

I moved to the area about 2 years ago and when I heard that Mings was "The best Chinese food you'll ever have" I laughed. I'm Hawaiian, grown up with plenty of Chinese food, and definitely didn't think i would find it in the middle of Pleasant Hill. Well, I was wrong! We frequent here at least once a week because I choose this place every time I allow myself a cheat meal and would never fathom going anywhere else The honey walnut prawns, chow main, crab rangoons, honestly EVERYTHING I've ever had here has been absolutely delicious. On top of delicious food, Mr.Ming is the nicest owner in the entire world and always remembers us when we come in. We had an accident where we dropped a whole thing of hot & sour soup and he gave us another one out of the kindness of his heart. The ONLY downfall about this place is when I'm craving Chinese after a long weekend and then remember they're closed Mondays I Always wait a couple more days to get my fix in. 10000/10 read more

Me and my colleague always get the same thing, but its super delicious! me: sesame chicken w/ fried rice (comes w/ bbq pork pieces), veggie egg roll friend: black bean chicken (not on the lunch menu but they make it) over white rice w/ a veggie egg roll. We were starving. The restaurant we originally went to was closed because of a gas leak. We yelped. We ended up here, and I am so glad we did. Ordered vegetable chow fun, deluxe veggies with tofu and spring rolls. All of it was delicious and on the table fast! The service was quick and polite and the price was perfect! I'm not a big Chinese food fan, but Ming's isn't greasy like others and it's tastes fresh. I went with my boyfriend twice now. Last time we were over ambitious and ordered 4 dishes; I was surprised when the check was only $33. Every time I go this place is packed. OM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM is the only sound you should be making after you're served food here. :D I think I found out about this place after driving by multiple times and finally noticing that there was a chinese restaurant tucked into the shopping plaza next to TJMaxx. I'm really glad I tried it because I haven't gone to another chinese restaurant in the area since. Mine and my bf's old fav used to be the now defunct Sun Sun Garden next to Groce-Out in central Pleasant Hill. We're not food connoisseurs or anything but from what I can tell Ming's is one of the best chinese places I've ever tried. I'm a DVC student and Ming's has become my "go-to to-go" place near enough to DVC. Plus with the anytime Lunch specials, it's affordable (about $6 or $7). My staple favorite is the string bean chicken (a bit boring for some people I guess, but I love it as an everyday sort of lunch). I haven't tried much of the menu and I've yet to try this famed Crispy Ginger Chicken that other people have mentioned in reviews, but I look forward to trying it and a whole bunch of other things next time I dine in. :D read more
