I placed my order with Foodjunky thru Yelp and paid in full. My husband went pick up food and was told that we did not pay. My question is how my payment went thru, how they said they don't know anything abt Foodjunky, who allows Foodjunky to take order online for them, why I got charged service fees on top of all the bullsh** they gave us. The chicken in the wrap tasted like they used old left over chicken and had no flavor at all. Wow, I can't believe this place is still going strong. It's not because the product is iffy, cuz it most certainly is not. It is the location. I can't believe people can find it. But they do and it is busier than ever. So good! Totally forgot about this place and did a revisit after 7+years. The place did some redecorating as there are more pics up and maybe a splash of color. It used to be a bit more simple/boring. Menu is still similar but I've found some new things to make me not forget about this place anymore. They have fresh fried chicken now ($9/ 5 piece)! They use halaal chicken because they throw in the Pakistani twist on most items. They season it pretty well (Pakistan spicing detected) and fry it to order (takes 20 minutes at least). So it comes out crisp and piping hot. You just don't see too many places that do fresh fried chicken anymore. Either it is frozen or fast food. Not here, it is homemade. Sticking to the fried chicken theme, they sport a mean Fried Chicken Breast Sandwich, and rightfully so. Huge chicken breast, marinated in Pakistan flavors and fried super crisp. The breading here is different from their chicken on the bone. Here the breading is more pronounced and crunchy. The regular fried chicken just seems like seasoned flour. Which is totally fine. The sandwich comes with standard lettuce, tomato, onion and a generous douse of chipotle ranch/mayo. My only gripe with this delicious sandwich is the grocery type of sesame bun. First it is kinda pedestrian and boring. Then structurally, it disintegrates as you eat the sandwich because the chicken and the sauce are so juicy. Ciabatta or something similar would elevate this. Also tried their steak here and it is pretty decent. A petite halaal NY strip is grilled nicely, and served with hot, seasoned fries and a salad ($14ish). Skip the pepper sauce version as it just sits in pool of ho-hum teriyaki sauce. The simple version is straight up Steak Frites without going to a French bistro. And I still always get a mango lassi here ($4) as it is huge glass of yogurt-y, mango madness perfection. Sorry Mirchi for forgetting about you, it won't happen again. read more

After being in Fremont for well over three years and an ardent Foodie on top of that somehow we missed this place for quite some time, finally my inner wish list caught up with the fact that I was too hungry and too close to this location yesterday and here we are to rave or rant about this very unique fusion at an equally hideous location. Obviously threalization that this is a Pakistani-Indian-American fusion sets in right away. They have some entrees as appetizers for instance veggie fried rice, Manchurian are in this section, then they have fusion burgers like lahori, Punjabi, pepper steak rtc that comes with salad or coleslaw and fries continued with a menu section for entrees with rice , fried chicken and pizza. Food we ordered : Lahori Burger with fries and coleslaw, veggie wrap with salad & 5 piece fried chicken ( their so called special with a Warning that it takes 20 min - not sure wether to emphasis the importance or make you not order it ) Lahori Burger : Sesame bun was mediocre something that u can get in Safeway, American cheese, onions, tomatoes, hot sauce & obviously a miniature beef patty for 8$ + 2$ for adding pepper to the fries ( they call it seasoned What a joke !). The burger as a whole seemed good till u bite in, since the party is small the first few bites would be everything except meat which kind of tastes funny, anyways for the whole meal the rating is 2.5 stars considering the price was more than what was on offer. Now the funny part : Instead of taking it off my bill , he pulls his visiting card out and writes "5 piece chicken with salad credit" signs it and says this is more powerful than American Express, so next time you come in let know the guy on the counter and he will redeem you. Jackie and Atif), the restaurant is clean and best of all, their meat is HFSAA certified! I'd recommend the above mentioned of course, madrasa fries, their calzone, their pizzas, and the tandoori chicken salad. Also, the (virgin) mango margarita, mango Sprite, and the chocolate brownie sundae.The only negative thing about this restaurant is that it gets crowded so no privacy and the booth seating isn't ideal if there are a lot of families in attendance. Crispy chicken breast sandwich - I like spicy food and the waitress recommended this sandwich over the Punjabi Chicken burger. I ordered this sandwich to be extra spicy and I got this with a side of spicy ranch fries (though I should have gotten the salad) and it comes with coleslaw. In simple terms, I liked the coleslaw more than the sandwich and fries, but I like the coleslaw at KFC better than the one I ate here. What does that tell you. The chicken breast was fried, which I knew, but the overall sandwich had little excitement or flavor and definitely no spice. The spicy ranch fries were a major let down, I liked them least. I didn't even finish everything and decided not to get it boxed. Chicken Tikka pizza - my friend ordered this one and I had a slice. She said it had little flavor and tasted better when she poured buffalo sauce over it. I tried it with the buffalo sauce and thought that it did make the pizza a bit better but overall not very good. Overall, I wouldn't come back to this place. My friend and I both left unsatisfied and I had a REALLY upset stomach afterwards. The first time I came here I got a burger and it was pleasant. Nothing outstanding in taste, but it was big and came with sides. Cant complain there! I normally come here for their chicken roll. It is in a heated display case. Basically seasoned chicken baked into a flaky philo dough outer layer. I really like getting this because I work across the plaza from this place and it's a cheap grab-and-go item. Seems pretty fresh and you can ask for your choice of dipping sauce. I normally go for their house styled ranch, but I know they have other alternatives that are spicy. I've also tried their thai tea drink and it's pretty good as well. LAHORI BURGER (NOW BARBECUE GRILLED) - Ground beef patty mixed with onions, chilies and Mirchi masala. Served in a soft bun with lettuce, tomatoes and red onions. This really did sound promising, but it was a disappointment. The buns were the cheap grocery variety, the fixings (lettuce, tomato, onion) were all completely American, and the meat ended up being the only differentiator. But it really didn't taste Pakistani--there was a practically undetectable hint of Desi spice, but in general it tasted like a really dry beef patty. Really dry. Came with grocery-store-frozen-section fries and some really boring coleslaw. PIZZA: 1/2 CHICKEN TIKKA (Chicken tikka pieces, onions, bell peppers and creamy masala sauce) & 1/2 SEEKH KEBAB (Beef seekh kebab, onions, fresh tomatoes and tomato sauce) Once again, there just wasn't enough evidence of Desi influence to create a connection--I wouldn't have known what they were going for had I not read the menu. If the flavors had been mind-blowing or unique, it wouldn't have mattered, but they just weren't. The chicken was dry and didn't taste like Tikka--the cheese was more prominent. Didn't really taste a masala sauce. The beef kebab was very similar to the burger meat, and it was the only hint of Desi-ness on that half. Mirchi cafe is a great place to grab your not-so-typical diner fare. I could also be described as an Americanized version of the typical upscale fast food joint that you'd find in Lahore or Karachi. With creative sandwiches like Chicken Tikka Club and Lahori Mirchi burger, you're bound for a desi party in your mouth. Employees wore black t-shirts that had the cheeky statement, "100% Halal, or nothing at all" emblazoned across the back. I really felt comfortable eating there after I found out that their meat was sourced through Tayyibaat. We were there at the height of iftar mania during Ramadan and all the servers were really nice despite being overworked. They estimated a 45 minute wait for a table but squeezed us in after just 5. I really appreciated the comp iftar plates, which consisted of dates, pakoras, and so much chaat that I couldn't finish it. We ordered the Lahori burger, which was really good and not too spicy. The kids chicken strips meal which comes with a juice box that they forgot to give...and we forgot to ask for. And the crispy chicken sandwich, which was a highlight. Comfort food with a twist as it's pitched on the home page of this Fremont restaurant. The menu is filled with familiar dishes such as club sandwich, hamburger and pizza but you'll also notice accompanying terms such as sheezan, lahori and masala which are not usually found on the same menu. This "Indo-Pak Fusion" restaurant marries common favorites with distinct flavors from India and Pakistan to provide a unique dining experience. The food is so different and good that you'll want to try everything on the menu. As a starter we ordered the Aloo Mutter Pocket which were three crispy dough pockets stuffed with potato, peas and spices served with mint chutney for dipping. I had the Lahori Burger, which, as another reviewer mentioned, was so full of flavor that it didn't need any condiments. It's slightly spicy and had a distinct Indian flare to it. Along with the burger comes parmesan dusted fries and coleslaw. The fries were nice and crispy but lacked a lot of flavor. This was nothing a bit of salt couldn't fix but I still would have liked something with a bit more of an Indian kick to it. The coleslaw was also kind of bland but had a bit of a spicy finish. I would have preferred more of an indian twist on the slaw as well. A bit of cucumber in the slaw to compliment the spice of the burger would have been nice. The Sheezan Club that my girlfriend had was as good as the burger. I know this because we had negotiated a half-for-half swap before our meals came, giving us a chance to try both dishes. The club was a double decker containing chicken tikka, fried egg, lettuce and tomato. Along with the sandwich you'll get fries and slaw. One last thing that I almost forgot to mention is that the mango lassi is one of the best in the business. Sweet, flavorful and nice and thick. It's an excellent compliment to any of Mirchi's dishes. In all it was an excellent experience at this casual little restaurant. Good stuff. Came here with the brother because he really wanted to try this place, and we wanted to take home some food for lunch for my family. We heard good things about the food, so we were excited to try it. We got the Black Pepper Steak entree/meal (because someone recommended it to us) and we got the Chicken Tikka Masala entree/meal (because it's one of my favorite Indian restaurant foods). The BPS came with fries and garlic bread while the CTM came with rice and 1 naan. We ordered 3 more naan. The steak was perfectly juicy, and the flavor was perfect also. I couldn't believe how good it was. If you are at a loss of what to try if you go, I definitely recommend the BPS. You'll have plenty of food to finish because the portion is huge for just 1 person. The CTM was good too, but it's pretty spicy. I'm sure if you ask them to make it more mild, they can do so, but I definitely needed a lot of yogurt and milk to down my lunch. There isn't really any "a la carte" food here, meaning you can't just get the CTM by itself or the BPS by itself, it comes with its sides. They also do not serve alcohol here, and the meat is halal. They also have a variety of fusion food, such as curry pizza and burgers and pastas. I plan on trying the lahori burger next time because it seems like a pretty popular item. read more

I wish there was a possibility to give 10 star which I would give without hesitation. No matter how busy or crowded they are, they put you as customer first. My kids refuse to eat anywhere else as they love their kids meal and nowadays they take a bite or two of my Chicken Sheezan Club or Americano burger.
