Their Mandarin Salad
Vito K.

My fiancé and I came in yesterday for a quick lunch after out workout. Cool Interior and exterior. Really good menu options. Super friendly customer service. I had one of their chicken sandwiches my fiance had one of their salads and we had a couple of their chocolate chip cookies. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend and recommend and definitely will be returning soon.

SPICY FALAFEL BOWL
Ben H.

we've been getting this for lunch at the office recently and it's just astonishingly sad food. the chicken is so dry and ugly and horrible and the little tiny falafels so crusty and old looking. every ingredient is just low quality. get sweetgreen or something else. mixt is the kind of food that looks, smells, and tastes like it's going to make me sick. some deep animal instinct tells me not to eat it.

Tofu banh mixt sandwich: great!
Josh B.

Great vegan sandwich option. I'm trying to incorporate more vegan meals into my diet and I thought the Tofu Banh Mixt sandwich was really great. The combination of marinated tofu and avocado made me almost forget that there wasn't any meat or animal products. The sandwich comes with a side salad which goes well together. And given the portion I'd say the price is pretty worth.

Caesar Salad with Chicken - $13.45
Tasha T.

As usual, the food is high quality, fresh and healthy. Their vegetables are distinctively fresh. The salads are not cheap but the portions are generous (even for an 8-month pregnant lady like myself). I cannot overstated how much they truly understand the art of putting a good salad together. Don't expect the typical boring salad here. Their salads have crisp, crunch, protein, flavor and that extra push to make them heartier & more filling than your average salad. Staff is so friendly and they've taken protective measures during the COVID-19 outbreak. Definitely my favorite lunch spot! The food doesn't make me feel sluggish and brain foggy after eating. I feel full, satisfied and able to complete my workday. You really can't go wrong with any of the salads but my favorites are the Caesar with Chicken and the Cowboy. My husband's favorite sandwich is The Royale. Their fresh lemonades are also good. Try the strawberry ginger one :).

PUEBLA. Nice lunchtime salad.

Very good lunchtime salad. I ordered the Puebla for delivery. They were a little stingy with the dressing and the roasted sweet potatoes, but the chicken is cooked to perfection.

Cobb salad

I have been trying to eat a little healthier lately, so I have promised myself to eat one serving of fruit or vegetable per day. You can't go wrong with a salad! I really like the make it yourself salad places, so Mixt Green came up on my Yelp search. This location is in mid-Wilshire, right by the La Brea Tar Pits. I read other reviews that said that parking was awful here and the day that I came they had Framers Market across the street. Bleh. I thankfully found street parking across the street and walked over. The inside is super cute, had an airy feeling to it. I looked at the menu and they had a build it yourself and pre-fixe salad options. The build it yourself seemed a little expensive if you want to add on things. I decided on one of the pre-fixe, the Cobb salad. The guy was super nice and since I didn't want cheese, he let me pick another ingredient. I got my salad and wandered outside to the outdoor table. My salad was super fresh tasting and I liked the dressing they had on the salad. It was also the perfect amount of food. I think it might be a little on the pricey side, but I think it was worth it for the fresh salad.

Cool salad, not really sure how they justify the small amount of poultry they give you for the price

The salads are really good but it's EXTREMELY expensive and over-priced. There should really be way more $$$$ symbols for this place.

Each course is so beautifully presented, but we had our minds blown by the flavors too. Each dish has a nature theme, with flavors pulling from influences from Tibet and all around Asia. We tried one vegan course and one vegetarian, and it'll be too long to list each course here, but here are a few of our faves to give you an idea: The Island - A gentle shore of golden pumpkin and celery, where rice paper sails drift beside the earthy whisper of golden ear mushroom. The Jade - A calm green field of quinoa, tofu, and avocado, layered with cucumber, lettuce, cherry tomato, and nori sesame crumble, dressed with mirin, mustard, sesame, and a gentle touch of chili. Mountains and Rivers - Morel mushrooms with silken tofu, tender mushroom, and creamy mashed potato, dusted with barley leaf powder. The Forest - Oyster mushrooms seared over charcoal with rosemary shoyu butter, rich and aromatic. They also have some amazing cocktails! MOUNTAIN GLACIER - Cool berries and bright citrus tumble into silver tequila, smoothed by a breath of coconut. GOLDEN JASMINE - Jasmine drifts through soft whisky notes in fragrant, gentle layers-light as pale sunlight brushing the ridge of a quiet morning. For dessert we tried some of their vegan caramel ice cream, which was so rich and creamy. Our server was so helpful and took the time to explain each of the courses.

A friend was visiting from out of state and is vegetarian, I have heard of this place from family,…read morebut was excited to try their dishes. We came with a group on a saturday and they were able to seat us immediately - plenty of parking in the large plaza where the Hat and Shiki Buffet is (previously hometown buffet location). All of the items on the menu were intriguing, but I was eyeballin' the salt and pepper one and the fried tofu. My buddy got the lemongrass "chicken" and also the curry with bread. Since we were eager to try the different types of food, we did a family style and that was the best decision. We also got eggplant, and the rice cake/egg. I thought the rice cake looked underwhelming, but our entire group had a consensus and voted that as the top fave of the night. Everything was super tasty and we left happy and full and with leftovers! Super excited to return and to recommend to others. I look forward to come back to try some of the other items such as the "beef" noodle soup or the bun rieu or pho! I also appreciate that some of the dishes came with rice included -we actually ended up with too much rice, but perfect for leftovers the next day. Upon checking out, there was delicious thing by the cash register that was green and resembled a bundt cake in slices. It was labled mochi pandan, and it was AMAZING. so spongy, so delicious and a little sweet. Perfect end of the night that my buddy got one to go right after. It was made fresh and you can tell by how soft it was. I appreciate that this restaurant has vegetarian versions of common vietnamese and chinese dishes. They all were delicious and unique and did not feel too oily or heavy. They look and taste like meat and also the sauces were 100% on point. Thank you Happy Buddha!!

We enjoyed all of them. I was especially happy they had a non-dairy milk for Thai tea - and it was yummy! That said, when I do visit, I'm always impressed by the quality. The vegan food is incredibly fresh, served hot, and consistently delicious. Everything I've tried has felt thoughtfully prepared, and even as someone who doesn't typically eat vegan, I can appreciate how good it tastes. I haven't been here too many times, but every visit has been a positive experience in terms of flavor and freshness. There isn't a ton more I can say beyond that, but it's been reliably enjoyable whenever I've stopped in. Parking is fairly limited--a small lot is available, but it can fill up quickly, and street parking in the neighborhood can sometimes be a bit tight depending on the time of day.

I got the buffalo chicken sandwich both times, and it was solid on each visit. The second time I added guacamole, and I started feeling nauseous after eating about half of it. I can't say for certain it was the food, so I won't fully blame the place, but since I hadn't eaten anything else beforehand and it came on pretty quickly, I'd personally skip the guac next time. I also ordered the loaded tots both visits, and those were easily the highlight. Absolute hit. Crispy, satisfying, and exactly the kind of comfort food that hits the spot. A friend of mine has been coming here for years, so I wouldn't let my one off moment stop anyone from trying it. Overall, it's a great late night option, with the same fried, indulgent food you'd crave after a night out, just with a plant based twist. I'd definitely come back. P.s. the themed tables are fun and I'm always down for self service/order screens. I imagine they'd still take your order if you need but it's easier and faster for me to be able to order and pay all at once. Love it.

If you think vegan food is boring... respectfully, you just haven't been to The Vegan Joint…read more Let's get into it. Food: I started with the appetizer wings -- sweet glaze with a little hint of heat -- and baby they did not come to play. That glaze had the perfect balance of sweet + subtle spice, and dipped in the vegan ranch? Chef's kiss. The texture was on point too. Not soggy. Not dry. Just right. Then I ordered the spring rolls (one of my go-to favorites here) and swapped the peanut sauce for the plum dipping sauce. Elite decision. The plum sauce adds that tangy-sweet vibe that makes you keep reaching back for "just one more bite." Fresh, light, and flavorful without feeling heavy. And what I really love? You can eat good and still feel good after. It's giving healthy but satisfying. They also have a variety of healthy drinks and desserts to choose from, so you're not just stuck with water and vibes. Whether you're trying to be mindful about what you eat or just want something delicious that happens to be plant-based, this is the spot. Service: Friendly, efficient, and quick. Perfect for a cute solo lunch, casual dinner, or catching up with friends who are "trying to eat better" but still want flavor.
