I've had dinner here a few times and it's a fun place to eat--they have the best buttermilk biscuits ever (with honey butter). Once I ordered a steak salad thinking it would make a light meal, but no, it was gigantic (and delicious)! Service was ok for us--we had one quirky server, who was nice but seemed distracted (understandably, as it was a busy night). I'd recommend reservations. Definitely worth a visit. read more

Wonderful experience all around. Made reservations for graduation midday lunch on a Friday. Place was packed and the service was fantastic and prompt and friendly from host station to server. Our table of 6 got specialty bevs that were delicious and started with the kettle corn. More places should do this! Such a fun way to start and not fill up too much. We had the fried chicken meal, goat cheese ravioli, roasted veggie sandwich, BLT with turkey and avocado and the balsamic burger. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious but the ravioli stole the show! Goat cheese ravioli with butternut squash puree and pecan butter drizzled over fried chicken medallions and artichoke hearts. I am glad I did not end up hospitalized after eating a few bites of my meal but nonetheless, I experienced a dreadfully uncomfortable night of hugging the toilet. I informed our server that I am vegan and of my allergies. He assumed me that what I ordered was 100% vegan....then after I tried the food and began to feel ill, I again asked the server to verify if what I ordered contained dairy/animal products. The server returned from the kitchen and confirmed our suspicions about the meal. The server was apologetic which is appreciated however I am glad I did not end up in the hospital as someone with more serious issues would have. read more

Actually the food deserves 5 stars BUT we just can't take the lack of utensils anymore. Even if you order utensils or pay for utensils they will NOT get in the bag. You wont get any. 3rd time going to this restaurant after pandemic and it seems like the quality of the foods are going down each time! Tonight was by far the worst dine-in experience... Service was alright, but our waitress didn't really hear our preferences of sides clearly, so we got the wrong ones. We wanted to say something, but didn't think it was even worth it after tasting the food. A party of 4, and we got seated after standing at the entrance for 5 minutes. Nobody greeted us or asked until someone came and finally said "Hello." We got seated after she walked over and after making a reservation for 8:00 PM. For our food items, we ordered the Buttermilk Biscuits, which were pretty dry this time around. As for our entreés, we got one Spatchcock Roasted Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans, a Spicy Fried Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and Spinach and one Spicy Fried Chicken and Waffles with Mac and Cheese and Green Beans, even though we wanted Mashed Potatoes instead of Mac & Cheese. No matter since I tasted my Mom's mashed potatoes and they were too salty! The Spinach as well, felt like they dumped the salt shaker in it! That is how salty it was. Our Fried Chicken wasn't spicy at all and was too dry. Maybe used too much batter??? Overall, not really a satisfying experience at all compared to our previous visits to this restaurant. The food was just fair. The brisket was tough and it should be fall-apart tender. The green beans were nearly raw and hard to chew. A complaint to the waiter resulted in dessert being comped but the ice cream dessert was nothing special. The mashed potatoes were good. Service was ok, nothing special. Ambiance was pleasant. We started off with a delightful beverage to celebrate my daughter's new job. I had the fried chicken with up charge for macaroni and cheese (up charge) and a biscuit. The braised collards were a bit watery so opted for a change to greens beans. Also, at the table, fried shrimp, mashed potatoes( up charge) corn bread. The food was tasty and fresh. Carrot cake and cream for dessert. Naturally, we ended the meal with a delicious beverage. Good social distancing measures and outside seating too. I just ordered their special Hanukah dinner. It featured brisket. The brisket had no gravy. It was tough as leather. Simply inedible. The meal included Tsimmus. It amounted to unflavored cooked carrots, and potatoes. Potato latkes were next. They must have been baked because their was no crispness. They came with apple sauce and sour cream, so they got that right. Lastly, was a noodle kugel that was fair. The elements were there, but the cheese lacked punch. This meal should never have been let out of the kitchen. In all fairness, I have had some decent brunches at FF so I wouldn't hesitate to do that again. But overall, I feel like I can no longer trust them. With all the obstacles that the restaurant industry face, there is no room for a slip up of this magnitude. read more

Sunday morning breakfast, we were happy to be seated immediately when we arrived. A large booth upstairs where our server was attentive. We got an appetizer order of the biscuits to share and they're quite good. A little salty but layered, crispy and delicious with butter. Then the main courses arrived and here's another biscuit on each plate. Oops. Maybe the plate of biscuits wasn't a great idea. Oh well. My ham and cheese scramble was a good portion with plenty of cheese and ham mixed through. I subbed sliced tomatoes instead of potatoes to stay a little closer to my keto diet after eating a corner of the biscuit. Their French press coffee is strong and rich. The beignets were so good! They came with a chocolate, a caramel and a jam dipping sauce. They were hot, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I got the breakfast tacos, which were OK. Came with a party of 6 reservation at 7:45pm on a Saturday and there were a ton of other people dining! Couldn't really tell if there were a lot of people waiting to be seated. I ordered the Steak Frites with Mac & Cheese as my side and ended up trading my fries for the warm lentil salad from my girlfriends order. Other dishes definitely piqued my interest but I might have to just order the same thing again next time. The Mac & Cheese was bomb! Crispy bread crumbs and 100% not your ordinary instant Mac. The steak was a little more than medium, but still good and the steak/salad/mac combo was perfect. I know it's not really steak frites anymore but still. The coffee ice cream was also good. ZERO STARS: A few weeks ago I took my son and daughter in law for brunch at Park Potomac. While the service staff were friendly, the portion sizes, product quality and promise from the menu were less than I would expect from a cheap cafe on a country road. I wrote to the management with specific complaints about the experience to give them a chance to respond or address the issues. To this date, they have not even bothered to acknowledge the complaint. The food was good but the staff were not warm and inviting. After being seated there was nothing more conversation than about our order. The whole staff including the hostess could remember to smile a bit more while maintaining upbeat energy. I also noted it was a special occasion on my open table reservation and my birthday was never acknowledged during our meal for lunch today. No one even said goodbye and thank-you.
