This is our new goto family pizza place. For the kids they have a 6" pizza to customize with unlimited toppings. Many toppings to choose from such as canadian bacon, anchovies, roasted broccoli, corn, to name a few. The asiago cheese finish was great too. All in all there are many more toppings available compared to other similar pizza places. The staff is great. They took the time to change gloves due to the kids dairy allergy. The fam and I gave this a try yet again just to be sure. While the Mod line itself is great the staff here definitely needs some customer service training. On more than one occasion the same girl has the nastiest attitude, once before we heard her yelling in the front and continued in to the back. My wife and I (Boomers) were particularly apprehensive about trying MOD Pizza since the burgeoning LBX complex at least so far is trying to cater only to millennials. Don't understand that entirely since the development in large part is bordered by a grey ghetto. The attraction of "super fast" pizza overcame us though and we tried it on a recent evening. I agree with other reviewers who compared it to Subway, Chipotle, and Cafe Rio but with an Italian flair since you pick your own ingredients off an ingredients bar. This is not a bad thing though and I would take issue with Yelpers who insist that the pizza be cut straighter and in smaller pieces. So eat it southern Italian style. Thinking about all the best pizzas I have enjoyed in several countries including Italy, Spain, and France, I believe I enjoyed those with fewer ingredients, but that is just my taste. The heaping of thousands of calories and scores of saturated fat is purely an American invention. So my wife ordered a 6" Mini for about $6.50 but balked at a salad for about the same price and I ordered a "Jasper," little sauce with mushrooms and sausage plus the addition of a few slices of pepperoni ($8.47 I believe). I also had a "craft" non-alcoholic beverage. We sat at the table and my wife was still reeling from the price of the salad and was not hopeful about her meal but when we were called that the food was ready a scant five minutes later (this is where the super-fast part comes in) and she tried it she was a believer as was I. Hot, just the right size and amount of ingredients, and with flaked peperoncino and a version of parmesan in jars next to the beverage bar. She ate the modest sized pizza which was just right for her and I took a quarter of my 11" creation home for breakfast the next morning (cold, of course). On the beverage bar I first tried the caramelized Ice Tea but found it a bit weak for my taste. I then tried the Marionberry Lemonade and found it more to my liking but not a match necessarily for pizza. They do have at least one craft beer (one on draft I believe) but I think that a dark and light version of more pedestrian brews in both glass and pitcher might have greater acceptance for those of us who are NOT millennials. All in all a very pleasing experience and we look forward to our next visit. read more

Lexi is an All-Star and a complete Pro... I asked for my pizza well done. When it was finished she called me over and specifically show me why she wasn't satisfied with how it came out... I personally thought it wasn't a big deal but it was specifically not up to her standards... Before I can even think about complaining she had already had a new pizza remade for me in the oven... Pizza is good, service is terrible. Extremely slow, and the man who made my pizza was very skimpy with the toppings. The women making the pizza both in front of and behind him were piling on the cheese and toppings, but he told me he was only allowed to put a small amount of cheese and toppings on. This Mod is right down the street from my job, so I go like 2 to 3 times a month. I got pizzas for me and one for my son for dinner. The girl making the pizzas was really cheap with the toppings. On each pizza I had to ask 2 or three times for meat and cheese. When I asked it seemed she looked at me like I was annoying her and each time she put less. I ordered cinnamon strips also. When I got my pizzas they were messy like they were moved around rough. There was not cinnamon glaze and the strips were really hard. Also she put the spicy Italian sausage on my pizza when I clearly said mild. Also staff is not very friendly. read more

Since they use the word "speed" in their wording I thought I'd give this place a try before going to work. Start off the experience with a nice greeting and make my way down the line of toppings. They offer a variety of choices like the other pizza places who will remain nameless. My issue comes more from the baking of my pie. My pizza sat for a minute or two waiting to get into the oven line up. I actually asked another girl if she could throw mine in the oven since I was in a slight rush which she seemed happy to help with. The issue starts as I watch the lady handling the oven burn two pizzas ahead of mine. I see another girl use the pizza wheel to try and trim off some of the burnt edges but it's tough to hide the burnt pizza. I waited a while longer for mine and of course it comes out not as burnt. But still burnt. I was hoping for the same courtesy at least of trying to wheel off some of the burnt crust. But I see her put mine into a box to send me on my way. Before she put the lid on she saw one side of the crust was pretty burnt so she got the pizza wheel and decided to cut the burnt crust while it was in the box. Then she realized that wasn't the best idea and tilted my box and tried to use the round wheel in a box corner to sweep out the burnt pieces. That didn't go so well but she continued to cut my pizza with the wheel and all the burnt pieces on it. Thank you for the burnt sprinkle through out. Then with no hesitation she put the lid on and handed it to me with no doubt in her mind that everything checks their quality standards. If I had time I would've asked them to make me another pizza but I didn't. Once I got to work and started to eat, it was hard to not notice the bitter burnt taste. So I thought I'd take a look at the bottom of my pizza. From the other reviews I'd assume I caught them on a bad day. I'm not so sure I will be back or could recommend MOD to a friend. read more

It is by far the best built your own pizza place out there. No one can compare on how friendly their staff is. Came in on a rainy Monday night. Restaurant was really well maintained. Welcomed me with a greeting and asked if I have ever eaten there before. I ordered a gluten friendly crust and was impressed by the way the girl on the line explained the possibility it might be exposed to gluten. I myself only eat it as preference but it is nice to have their customer know the risks, not a lot of places do this. Very well priced. I will definitely be coming back soon. read more

Great pizza and great service! Same concept as Pieology and Blaze but the pizza here tastes the best. What makes the pizza is the crust and sauce. The crust here reminds me of the ones I've had in New York- thin, crispy, and very tasty. The sauce is done well too. As far as the staff goes, the manager has done an excellent job hiring people who are very friendly and have positive energy. It seems that's the vibe they were trying to create and I think they succeeded. The place is always clean and the lemonades are awesome. read more

The pizza is pretty decent but the customer service has been slipping since they opened. The side plates next to the drink station were all dirty so we had to ask the girl that was pulling the pizzas out of the oven for clean plates. She curtly handed us two plates one of which was dirty. We went back to let her know the plate she handed us was dirty and she rudely handed us a new plate without an apology or without making eye contact or saying anything at all. When our pizza was ready and our name called I walked up to get my pizza and as I was standing there waiting to ask for a side of sauce she turned her back to me without asking if I needed anything and started cleaning the oven. Then she quickly walked back into the kitchen. When she finally came out of the kitchen she ignored me again so I had to shout to get her to acknowledge me and I asked for a side of sauce. I love MOD but not this location. So we walk in and we get a friendly hello. Then we are standing in line to order and this little blonde girl seemed like she was yelling at this man who seemed like he was new to MOD. So she finally realizes this and begins to explain he process in a better tone. This condescendingly she asks us have we been there before. We respond and then she turns to grab a pizza crust and there weren't any ready so she yells to the guy on the register that she needs to have dough prepared. He was clearly busy with a few people. So she decides she'll do it. At this point she was annoyed because a few people walk in after us. So, we tell her we want 2 mega doughs and she didn't have enough in the tray so she lets out a loud breath and goes to the back and yells "gah". Once she gets back she slammed the empty tray down and slam the full one down on the counter. She clearly seemed irritated. We get our pizzas and I understand it's hard to tell if the dough is ready or not because they are thicker. This one was definitely not done all the way. It was still raw in some places. This location is not so great. Maybe on a slower day if you're lucky. I'll stick to my usual MOD near Trader Joe's. read more

When we got up to order there was a few girls there that night and their hair up but laying over their shoulders or in front of their face...gross!! Then we tried to order and there was 3 girls just standing around talking so I asked them if they were going to make our pizza or just stand there and talk... we got this young blonde girl that proceeded to give us attitude and just throw our ingredients on our pizza. Went here for the first time a couple weekends ago. This is a new location in the LBX Exchange center and I really like the store and what they've done with this entire center. They've done a great job with this new center the aesthetics are beautifully done not like your typical strip mall or center. When I entered Mod Pizza I liked the design and this is a good size restaurant inside with a lot of cozy seating. I went up to order and was helped by a friendly young lady who was quick to offer suggestions and feedback on the different menu items. We decided on the Calexico and Lucy Sunshine pizzas to share between two of us, and also ordered the garlic strips. The pizzas were out quickly and looked great! They tasted as good as they looked! Very fresh, light and flavorful and the garlic strips were yummy too! I will definitely be back soon. I prefer this to Pieology and I love love this location. Food is reasonably priced at $6.27 for a 6" pizza. Two of these for 2 people to share was plenty. They're side salads are a bit pricey considering they're as much as the personal pizza; although I haven't had one yet. Overall I really liked this place and highly recommend it! read more
