This location has terrible customer service. The employees made us feel extremely unwelcome and as if we were inconveniencing them by coming in 50 minutes before closing time. They also claimed to be out of barbecue sauce when we could clearly see they weren't. I've been back multiple times and the service has been disappointing every time. My partner and I have been here twice, the first time together, and the second time he picked up dinner for us on his way home from work. The first time was great! I wish we had caught his name, but the man in the floral NY hat helped us out as it was our first time. He was very knowledgable and obviously passionate about pizza. He recommended that we try adding a little dried rosemary to our pizza at the end before baking, and wow! Can't believe we have gone so long without rosemary on pizza! The second visit (10/17/18 around 7:00 PM) my boyfriend walks in and starts his order with a petite female employee. He tells her he would like to order 2 regular pizzas (one for each of us), and the first thing out of her mouth is, "Wow, two pizzas? That's a lot of food." Like, do you never have people come to your establishment and order to-go? He brushes it off and has her add red sauce and mozzarella cheese on both. He prefers extra cheese, which he requests. Ms. No Filter goes, ".....Do you like eating really greasy food?" Um, can you not? He again laughs off her stupid comment and finishes ordering the pizzas. While they are in the oven, she starts to ring him up and asks, "Are you eating these here or taking them to go?" He tells her he is taking the two VERY different pizzas home for dinner with his family, and she replies, "Oh. I really wanted to watch you eat those two pizzas by yourself." Lady, shut your trap. The pizza itself is very good. It's surprisingly large for an individual pizza; they cut it into quarters and we usually save the last piece for leftovers. The crust is thin, crispy and chewy at the same time. The crust flavor is a little lackluster, but the toppings are plenty flavorful. They don't have quite the selection of toppings as other build-your-own pizza places in the area, but what they do have is fresh and tasty. The interior is clean and modern. Overall, this is a decent pizza joint, but the customer service needs work, especially since you spend so much one-on-one time with the pizza maker. read more

1 star for service. This has got to be the worst experience I've ever had at a food establishment. It was a Thursday night, there were 6 employees working the front and no one making pizza. The employees are bickering with each other, just standing around. Finally, the young lady at the front had a neck brace on came to help. Not before yelling across the room to another worker "CAN YOU GET HER SHAKE?" First off, she didn't wash her hands with soap, just rinsed the tips and put gloves on with her long hair disheveled. When I got to the counter she was rude and not helpful. You work in customer service bro, where's the customer service? She gave me attitude and seemed annoyed that I didn't know what I want. During the middle of my order 2 gentlemen walked in... she literally was putting sauce on my pizza crusts and then decided to talk to the gentlemen behind me! They asked her several questions she couldn't answer, 1. Is there dairy in the cheese, 2. Are there eggs in the dough, and 3. Are they both (cheese and dough) vegetarian. She had to yell again for someone to answer the questions. She then proceeded to ask one gentleman about his vegetarian lifestyle. First off, you're at work, second isn't love connection do your job. The next person to help me was a young man with a b-ball SnapBack on. Is that appropriate for work? He was nicer, I guess. Maybe I went on an off night, but it was a hot mess. People standing around, doing nothing, yelling at each other to do things. Clearly, high school children need supervision. The pizza was good though, nice flavorful crust and fresh toppings. I'm thinking about calling the health department in regards to hand-washing, food and utensil storage. Plates that are not air dried and are stacked wet are great places for microorganism growth. Watch out, you might get a food borne illness from lack of food handling skills. Go to the Bixby Knolls location. read more

Terrible experience. I've been to this Mod pizza twice and the first experience was ok and the pizza was good. The service was just very slow even though there was hardly anyone there. I don't know how they would do during busy hours. My second experience was today and I walked into an employee and customer dispute. This customer was upset about something and asked for the employee's name and her response was, "I don't have a name." And the customer just left. That wasn't the part that bothered me because I don't know what happened and it isn't any of my business. I'm just here for pizza. The problem was the employee was so busy complaining to other employees about the customer that it took her a while to even get my dough ready. I just had to stand there and wait, even though I was the only customer in line and in the restaurant at that point. She finally slapped my pizza together which came out soggy and undercooked. Which is the worse thing you could do to pizza. What a waste of money. I had to go get something else to eat. Just because you had a dispute with a previous customer, you're going to half ass your job with the next customer...give me break. What a shame, considering it's a new location in a nice area. I'm glad I gave mod a try, but stick to Pieology, their pizza is good if not better and customer service is great. And it's just down the street on Lakewood Blvd., right across from the mall. read more

I've tried Pizza Rev; eh. Then, Came Blaze pizza, much better, but not great. Along came Pieology and I thought it couldn't get any better. Today I was proven wrong! With the LBX gaining steam in bringing new locations, I've seen this place for a while right next door to Dunkin' Donuts, but haven't had a chance to try it. Well, today was the day. I tried the "mad dog" and the "Dillon James" along with a deluxe salad and garlic strips. The crust is nice, thin and crispy; yet sturdy enough to hold the toppings. Flavors were awesome. Salad greens were... mixed greens! (Not just iceberg lettuce) Overall, it was great and i now put this at the top of my list for fast casual pizza! read more

Usually, I love Mod Pizza, however, I did notice something the other day. When I go to other Mod Pizza Restaurants I notice that they do not use the same person on the meat and vegetable station. During this visit, the young man used the same hand for the meat and the veggies for my pizza. Therefore, allowing for cross contamination. The toppings were all mixed up so I got toppings that I didnt request on my pizza :( read more

The reason I am posting today is because I have gone for pizza here several times during Covid... there is this young man named Anthony who works here. He has impressed me on each visit! I was reminded tonight when I went there that I forgot to post about my last visit and encounter with him. I am always so impressed by his work ethic...today and on my past visits. I am getting old and I am not techy savvy...Back in July,, I was struggling with the Mod App and Anthony took the time to help me figure things out. I was grateful!!! He saved me from frustration over the app ....he was so kind....so professional....so patient...so helpful. So unfortunately I'm rating MOD pizza as a Pieology knock off. The overall feel and lay out were very similar to Pieology as well. It brought my bf and I in because we had a coupon to buy one get one free. I had the Dillon he had the Sophie. I almost don't know how to explain the pizza...I've never had tasteless/mediocre pizza before. I mean clearly you taste the ingredients, but individually. There was nothing special or memorable. Dominos has its sauce, Pizza Hut it's flavorful dough, heck even little Cesar's has a little something that makes people come back. There's something definitely missing from MODs. I'm usually a fan of MOD pizza, but when I came here for the first time I was pretty disappointed. My pizza was put together pretty messily and the toppings weren't evenly distributed. Worst of all was how they cut my pizza. It was literally cut into 4 huge slices that were all misshapen and crooked. I would think it was a one off, but my fiancés pizza was cut the same way. I am a huge fan of pizza and this place did not disappoint. I just came back from the doctors office and saw this place and I thought I'd try it. When I walked in it was nice and cool and not too long of a line. The staff was really friendly and also very diverse. The prices were very reasonable. They don't put that much sauce on the pizza but it still came out amazing. It looked good and tasted good. I would definitely come back again and would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. I placed a pick up order at this location and when I arrived 30 minutes later it was madness. There were random pizzas everywhere and when I told the worker my order she said they didn't have it. Another half an hour later, i'm still standing there waiting for them to make it but I've already been there for an hour. At that point I needed to leave to pick up my child from practice. I asked them if I could have a refund but while I look at the back counter and there's my pizzas sitting there. The worker had told me multiple times that she didn't have my order. I loved designing my own pizza with Jewels's help. She was extremely friendly and made the trip down the rows of ingredients a fun experience. I don't usually add pineapple, but I had just finished excercising and needed a hit of sweet. At the end, my pizza was loaded with a mound of colorful goodness. Ordered from here via Uber eats & I will never ever again. Now I've eaten at this pizza spot once & it was good. This was before Covid. So last night I decided to Uber eats our family some pizzas. We had 2 regular size custom pizzas, a small kids size custom pizza & a caspian pizza. The only pizza that was made correctly was the caspian (probably because it has ore selected toppings). What made me mad the most is that each pizza had a receipt attached with the list of what was on each pizza. My sons receipt said 1 mini MOD, red sauce, garlic rub, mozzarella, & pepperoni. When we opened the box it was a pizza with red sauce barely even any cheese at all, & sausage & chicken. We literally had no sausage or chicken chosen as any option on any pizza. Then my pizza had a long list of toppings which over half were missing. I thought I had pics of the pizza but those were taken with the Uber eats app & submitted to them. Luckily Uber eats refunded my entire order after providing them the pictures. This is utterly ridiculous & I will only ever eat here again if I can see them making my food! read more

Tried this place out yesterday. My family is staying at the Home Wood Suites down the street and we had a pool day. So I came over to pick up some pizzas. I tried on the app but it was a bit confusing. So I called. I ordered and I picked up the pizza. I liked the location. I liked the design of the store. Clean. Trendy. Pizza was good. White sauce is good. Pretty standard topping offerings. They had roasted corn and roasted sweet potatoes, I was not expecting those. Really enjoyed the lemonade. Kids loved it. The service- awesome! I regret not looking at their names, but it was today around 4pm. A young lady walked me through the menu and suggested a size for my needs. She was very nice. They kindly accommodated my request of cutting the pizza in half and boxing each half separately. What made this visit extra special was that I forgot my debit card inside and the gentleman walked out and handed it to me. I do not recommend this location to anyone. I placed a phone order and arrived to the restaurant 15 minutes after the restaurant representative said the order would be ready. Upon arrival I was ignore by the team members, not any kind of acknowledgement from any of them waiting nearly 5-7 minutes to get their attention. So far we have been here twice with coupons we received in the mail. Can't beat that! The first coupon was buy one get one free and the second coupon was $ 5 off one 11" pizza. On our first visit you could tell the employee's were trying their hardest to get things right. My sister ordered a pizza with pesto sauce and the girl helping her put it on wrong. I guess there's a special way to sprinkle it on the crust and not rub it in which she did. So the young lady next to her said she would have to start over. The employee explained to us why the pesto sauce had to be sprinkled on the crust, had something to do with making it soggy. My sister decided to do all veggies. I on the other hand did half and half. On one side I did a tomato base with meat and vegetables and on the other side, I did garlic and olive oil with all veggies. The second visit was pretty much the same but this time we shared a pizza and she created her side and I created mine. Over all the pizza is pretty good but they still need to work out some bumps. I visited this location while I was in a hurry and the pizza I ordered was delicious. Customer service was fair. My only issue is with a tall African American gentleman who was prepping the dough or pizzas was starring at all the patrons uncomfortably. It was awkward and unprofessional.
