We went in a few nights back to order some pizzas to take home for dinner. There were several families in front of us in line and several behind us. After 5-10 minutes of waiting, they told everyone in line they couldn't accept any orders for at least 30 minutes. As they had a lot of online orders. It was disappointing that they couldn't sync in person orders into their flow of online orders. Everyone in line left including our family. It will be a long time before we return. There was a was time restaurants synchronized takeout and delivery while still providing a dine in or in person ordering capabilities. This was our first visit and we were pleased on the warm greeting and walked us through the options on their menu. We chose all the fresh toppings for our made to order custom pizzas and were in the oven within a minute. Great garlic chips, cinnamon chips with the dipping sauce awesome as well. Pizzas came out, impressed the the crispy,crunchy yet tender crust. Our sodas on the house, first visit perk. Absolutely delicious, place was clean top to bottom. Worst experience ever. Staff was rude. If you can't order exactly how they want you to place your order, they won't make your pizza. Seriously, we said some words out of order and they looked at us like we were crazy. My husband ordered a Hawaiian pizza and they made a cheese pizza. Sorry, not a cheese pizza, a Maddie. Ordered garlic strips with red sauce for dipping. Red sauce came in a tiny plastic to go ramekin and it was cold. Seriously we paid extra for 2 tablespoons of cold marinara sauce. We've been coming to MOD ever since we moved to McKinney and even though the pizza in itself is delicious, what makes MOD special is its staff. Especially one of their managers named Tomi I believe. We've gone in a handful of times and the way we are greeted and treated is the reason we come back. We've noticed that she remembers EVERYONE, asking about their kids, band, etc. Its impressive and rare now a days and we really appreciate it. I came here with my husband last Saturday (2/8/20) around 4:30 pm. Very friendly staff and fast service, but I must say... the restaurant was absolutely FILTHY. The restaurant was not packed at all, maybe 5 families dining in total... and EVERY single table was dirty. We ended up settling for a table that had the least amount of dirt, but had pizza scraps and dirty napkins under the table. To make it even worse, there were at least 10-12 employees working behind the counter. Not a single employee came from behind the counter to clean. It would've taken 1 employee 10 mins max to wipe down all the tables. When I walked over by the drink station, the counters were covered in sticky spilled drinks that had dried up and the bottom outside of the trash can was covered in caked on food. At first my husband and I thought we were overreacting until we noticed two families that came in after us wiping their table down with napkins before they sat their pizza down. This restaurant needs a good sweep, mop, and wipe down. I don't think I'll be back to eat here without checking out the dining room before ordering. GROSS. read more

I love MOD Pizza but the customer service received today was incredibly unacceptable. The big guy with the mod tattoo & "beard" was so loud & over the top that you couldn't get a word in without him interrupting you. He rushes you in the beginning to figure out what you want & seems put off when you get confused because he's breathing down your neck. There was no ice. Took 10 minutes for someone to ring us out. Big guy needs to tone it down A LOT. A lot of customers were not happy & we will not be back to this location. read more

I was so excited to try this place... I am disappointed. I ordered 4 pizzas online with over an hour's notice. When I arrived to pick it up, the person said it wasn't ready and when I asked if he knew how long it would take he said "no". I finally got him to tell me 10-15 minutes. I have them 30. When I got the pizzas home I realized mine had little red sauce and a ton of finishing sauce. It was missing several of the toppings including cheese. I would've taken it back but I was so hungry at this point I just added my own cheese and additional toppings. I wonder if I should try another location? They have vegan and GF options along with reasonable prices! read more

We love MOD pizza every time we go-- the food is always fantastic (I still can't believe you can get unlimited toppings), but the last time we went, I was SO impressed with the service! Steven gave my kids a dessert to share and his birthday balloon and they were so thrilled. I think it's the people that make the establishment and this place has the best! This Mod Pizza is brand new in McKinney and I decided to give it a chance, so I stopped by on my way home from work to take a pizza home for dinner. The manager greeted me at the door with a huge smile and the crew all yelled "Welcome to Mod Pizza". I started this first time visit with a laugh and lots of smiles because of it. Turns out they were having a special event and as I turned to leave the manager insisted I stay since it was the first time I had been to a Mod Pizza. He had one of the staff take care of me and offered me my pizza on the house. I can't say how kind and friendly everyone was and I must admit the pizza was really good! Love the idea that you can have whatever toppings you want for the same price. Who else does that???? The pizza crust was delicious and all the toppings offered were fresh and tasty. Mine was a Canadian bacon, mushroom and artichoke and it was awesome!. You can have additional sauces put on after the pie is cooked but I skipped that as it looked great as is. Thank you so much for an outstanding first go around with a Mod Pizza. You now have a customer for life. And my husband even loved the pizza as well and he is soooo hard to please! Tasty. I like that you can pick toppings and they are very gracious with their toppings! The price is pretty incredible. I went for the first time this Sunday. Review for takeout: the online order was pretty simple to place. I arrived about 25 minutes after placing the order and my pizza was ready. Pizza itself was very tasty I especially liked the dough. At first I thought that it was pretty small in size but it ended being enough for 3 people. Taste wise it was one of the better pizzas I had. Now my rating would be very different for dine in. My rating is for DoorDash. I saw the advertisement that delivery was free for DoorDash and decided to try it. $50 worth of pizza was a complete waste! It was so ice cold the cheese was hard. Derricka was the listed driver. Complete waste of money. I will never use Door Dash again. I have had good experiences with in restaurant pick up. My name is Tracy Collins, I'm at Mod at least 4 times a week and I love it. The food is great as well as the customer service. I'm writing this review because 2 mornings I've come in and ordered pizzas and there is a guy that wears glasses, has a bald head that works there. I wasnt sure the first time but I'm very sure now. He goes to the back and blows his nose. He doesn't change gloves nor washes his hands and just goes back to work touching things. This is the most disgusting thing I have ever experienced in my life. Really liked it! We have eaten at Mod before in Washington state so we were excited to see one open up literally across the street from our house. It was really crowded, opening week of any new restaurant around here. The workers that were there making the pizza were very understanding and helpful with topping suggestions if you have never been there before and wanted to create a custom pizza. Service was very friendly, and they were already experts at efficiently getting people through the line. Not a huge amount of seating, but I think maybe there's more than there appears to be. I've had better pizza. People beige me were asked about preferences on dough and salad. I wasn't. When my order was being rung up, the manger was talking to the cashier so that she almost missed my salad. Had lunch here and it was delicious! There blackberry lemonade was incredible and the dough was soft and just how I liked it. Really good selection of toppings. Steven was very helpful and addressed us by name which is a nice touch to the experience.
