I have to be honest, I drive by this place everyday and never did I think to stop in. Normally if my kids wants pizza we go to the usual Dominos or Pizza Hut. Well never again! I happen to be across the way at Starbucks when my friend showed up and said he wanted pizza. We walked across the way and were greeted by the most pleasant, friendly and informative people! We told them it was our first visit and they gladly gave us the whole run down. My friend eats meat so he loaded his 11inch with various meats and a few veggies. I am vegan and was surprised to find out that they were able to accommodate! They even went so far as to check the ingredients on the crust to make sure I could eat it! They also had vegan cheese available for me and PLENTY of veggies to choose from. I was in a wonderland! My order was delicious, my friend said his order was delicious, what else could you possibly ask for?!?! Tea anyone?! They have soooo many options for tea. Beer anyone?! $2 Tuesday's coming right up! This place is good for kids, groups, dates and singles. They have outdoor seating too. We then left to hang out in downtown Riverside. I came back a few hours later to get my car and decided I wanted a drink. This location is awesome! They consistently (and genuinely) welcome everyone who come in. They remember me, and until today, haven't been in in a few months, which makes it feel very personal and warm. When I came in today, the manager on duty was training a new hire, and doing a wonderful job of balancing running the show and busting through a huge line of an entire H.S water polo team that walked in. I appreciate that the manager gave me an extra beer that someone ordered the wrong one of, in addition to a free fountain drink. Good food, good vibe, good people... They have good pizza with awesome toppings. I've been here a couple of times - once with a coworker and another time with my husband and son. This is my fave Mod compared to the ones in the I.E. (Redlands and Fontana). The choices for toppings are always great and the customer service is efficient. The employee offered me the non dairy cheese option after my nephew blasted me about being lactose intolerant. The employees also checked on us while we ate our meal which we haven't experienced at other locations. I rather come here than the closer locations. read more

Went for the first time with the hubby. Staff was friendly and wonderful. Nice variety of cheeses, meats and veggies. I like they have different sizes of dough you can choose from. They loaded the pizza with toppings and cooked the it perfectly. I like that you have a choice for additional sauce drizzles at the end which sets it apart from others. It was my first time trying out this Mod pizza, and I was very disappointed. First off the staff was not welcoming at all, I felt a bit rushed. They didn't take the time to go over the menu with me at least to give me a better knowledge on what/how to order etc. Also I found this place to be way over priced specially for the two personal pizzas and two regular size Caesar salad. Total was $30.00. This place has nothing on Blaze pizza which Iv paid the same amount, for two bigger pizzas, gluten free crust, more ingredients, everything very fresh, two with salads, and on top drinks. The people here are so friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. If you've never been there before they walk you through the menu and explain everything. Its also a very clean restaurant. They keep everything wiped down and orderly. Something a lot of other places care little about. The pizza is tasty especially if you like to try new things. Today we visited this place and we're a party of 6! The music was so loud that my friend and I couldn't understand what the 2 woman were saying when we'd ask questions! I'd recommend MOD when they are NOT BUSY. Pizza usually good; ingredient selection and quality (understood to be organic) good. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was service. I've been to this location several times (tend to go during slower times) and service was good. But last visit, when they were somewhat busy, I and my companions felt quite rushed by the staff. This should never happen and ruins the experience. Two of us made the same comment simultaneously as we exited. In addition, again because of rushing, my and my companion's pizza crusts were NOT FULLY COOKED! We did did not realize until we got home because we did take out-- did not feel like going all the way back to complain. read more

MOD holding it down! I am not a fan of many make your pizza places --except for MOD now. MOD has a lot of fresh ingredients that customers are allowed to put on their custom pizza for a very good price. You can order the 6" pizza (which is basically the kid size pizza), the MOD pizza, and the large pizza. I was advised by MOD staff to get the MOD pizza, which is the step up from the 6", because they felt the kid size would be too small. The MOD size was absolutely perfect and only cost 8.75. I could only eat two out of the 4 slices. The most I could have probably eaten was 3 slices. But not to worry because if you are unable to eat the pizza there are to go boxes next to the soda fountain so customers can easily put their left over pizza in a box and take it home. This is such a good idea and very convenient because don't we all hate having to go up to a counter when we are done eating and ask for a box and then waiting for the box? Having to go boxes ready for customers to pick up on their own is very very convenient in my opinion. So what are some other positive/awesome points about MOD besides the fresh ingredients, value, and to go box convenience? Well. I really liked the staff's personality and helpfulness. They want to make sure you know about their product and give suggestions so that you enjoy your choice of pizza. I also like the open decor of the restaurant and how they incorporate a lot of Riverside memorabilia and posters throughout the interior. This makes the businesses feel really embedded in the community. They also have shakes, beer (both on tap and in bottles), and a very big condiment section (red pepper, parmesan, sauce section, utensils, and plates). The store itself is very clean and the staff are quick to make sure it is clean at all times. All in all, I will definitely come back to MOD and have already recommended for others to try it because the pizza is that good! You can put pick as many toppings as you want for only 8.75 and that is AWESOME!! MOD ME UP. Next time I am going to try one of their draft beers or shakes to go with the pizza!! read more
