We've been to one of these in Phoenix and were totally surprised and ecstatic when this one opened up. If you haven't been, it's like a Subway, but with pizzas! Fresh, hot, awesome, stone oven baked pizza! You only pay one flat price and the toppings are all included. There are tons of sauces, meats, veggies, spices, cheeses, and flavor adds. Make no mistake, the pizza is fine, and reasonably priced, but the place is so cold you can't enjoy your meal. When I requested they turn down the air conditioning, the reply was, "They won't let me." I can only deduce that management wants you to eat really fast and leave. Pizza is okay. Be prepared. If you order online it will take longer than the cheap chains since they add a 30 minute delay to orders online. It would be faster to go order and stand in line. Guy tried to explain by saying ASAP docents mean as soon as possible but rather wait 30 minutes. read more

Looks small on the outside but is much bigger inside. Very friendly and helpful staff. Prices are good, food is great. Went to Mod Pizza at Broadway/Wilmot today for lunch. Had the Mod Pizza which was a medium that 2 of us split. You pick your toppings as they build up your pizza. They have a great variety of toppings to choose from. Only takes about 5 min to cook. Great taste with plenty of toppings and a fantastic, crispy crust. Price is very reasonable - pizza + 2 drinks = $12. Definitely recommend Mod Pizza for yummy, thin crust pizza !! read more

This is my 2nd time eating at MOD. I ate at the Oro Valley location as well. I'm a diehard Pieology fan. MOD has more toppings, custom salads, and shakes. The only negative is the middle of the crust is not as firm as Pieology. You have to support the slices with 2 hands. read more

This place is so great! First of all, the employees are all so helpful and nice! When it was my first time going there, they did a great job at explaining everything and working with me. I love how there are mini sized pizzas so you can have your own! When you go to normal pizza places sometimes it can be difficult to get something everyone likes but when you all get to have your own little pizza it solves that problem! I was unfortunately disappointed by the quality of Mod Pizza. I allowed my coworkers to drag me here after they hyped up the quality of this establishment. There was not the best selection of toppings, they did not put that much of each topping, and the size of the pizza was not great for the price either. There are other build your own pizza places in Tucson that are much better like Pionic and Pizza Studio. After I sat down to eat the pizza I had constructed (I ordered toppings similar to what I get at other build your own pizza places so I knew I would like my creation) I was immensely disappointed. I had to have them add the balsamic glaze they had forgotten to apply. I also had to wait twice as long as I would at other build your own pizza places and they were staffed properly with a small amount of customers so I found that frustrating as well. Now, down to the nitty gritty: the quality of the pizza. IT WAS TERRIBLE. The toppings, what little there were were not fresh tasting and just overall the pizza was a colossal let down. If i wasn't starving I wouldn't have even eaten it. And like I states before. It's not like I made a weird pizza. I used topping combinations I have tried at other pizza places. This place deserves a one star rating in my opinion but the staff was super friendly and courteous and that's the ONLY reason I'm giving Mod a two star rating. Don't believe the hype. Since MOD Pizza has only been open four days I thought it would have a few kinks to work out but we were pleasantly surprised. The staff working that day was friendly tons of smiles. If you love thin crusted pizza you will enjoy eating here. The pizza was DELICIOUS. The cost was great. Pick the size pizza you would like and choose as many toppings as you want.
