The pizzas are always good but they need to do a better job of balancing the online orders with in store orders. I don't blame the nice employees who were making the pizzas, they were working nonstop to make the pizzas, but for management or company policy to have 7 online orders in between each in person group (of only 2 or 3 people) is completely ridiculous and it took easily 30 minutes in line even though there were only 4 groups ahead of us. I would not recommend, go to blaze or pieology instead. read more

This was the location my family frequented at least once a week. But as of today, the general manager costs this company our business. My mother in law requested a preference she's always received and was denied. And instead of explaining why it was no longer available, like most costumer service professionals, the GM was argumentative to the lengths that my MIL asked her to stop. All we wanted was a simple explanation as to why her preference was denied and to professionally complete our order and the GM's response was "My crew has been instructed not to ***** and I'm the GM here and I can assure you we don't ******. The pricing is good and the toppings are fresh, employees are friendly and attentive. I remember my ex going when he thought they were open (he was a week early from the officially opening date). They actually made him a pizza at no cost and he was hooked. Most businesses would've turned him away and told him to come back, but not MOD. They took his order with a smile and said I hope you come back when we're really open. That kind of customer service stuck with me and we come as often as we can, at least 2 times a month. I don't go as often as I'd like since I'm never really in the area anymore. I love that it's unlimited toppings and my kids can make their own special pie with as much or as little as they want for a flat price. This place is sooo good! I always get the mad dog with added bacon, spinach and jalapeños. I ask for it extra crispy or else it'll be kind of soggy from all the stuff on it. It's like a subway for pizza. They have beer, wine in a can, lemonade, soda. The other thing that makes it better is their ice is the tiny ice! Best ice ever!!!!! read more

I created my own pizza dream: Marinara Pesto Spinach Artichoke Mozzarella Canadian bacon Ground beef Pastrami Chicken Asiago Parmesan Diced tomatoes Oregano Roasted garlic Roasted corn And drizzled fig glaze on top. I like that you can make your own pizza but the times that I have ordered a salad, the lettuce was wilted. I am not a fan of wilted lettuce but will say that the staff is very friendly. Good size portions and make your own pesto pizza is my favorite. You cant go wrong with building your own pizza. Not a fan of their menu options of their pizza combinations. Update: I tried getting the gluten free pizza again. I tried again. My husband even asked the worker to make sure not to burn my pizza. Once again, my pizza crust is burnt, hard and tastes bitter. Surprisingly I really enjoyed my pizza. I was a little hesitant trying this place after trying another pizza place with a similar concept. Since it was my first time trying this place I only ordered the six inch pizza and mod strips. The pizza itself was just the right size comparable to a personal size pizza at other chains. I got to pick as many toppings as I wanted and it was made to my liking. My only complaint that I would have about the pizza would be about the crust. The crust was very thin. Luckily, I didn't add too many toppings because the crust wouldn't be able to hold everything.The mod strips were good I would get them again but maybe a different pan size. They were a little sweet. Maybe adding extra garlic will help balance the sweetness of the strips. I really can't complain the entire meal without a drink was under $10. The restaurant was nice and clean no food or garbage left on the tables. I will definitely be coming back in the near future. read more

I love the salads here and I've ordered a few times. But "customer service" is pretty non-existent here. Last time I ordered online, I walked in and there was a small family at a table and one guy ordering...and five employees. After standing there waiting for a few minutes, one employee walked by me and smiled and continued to the other counter area where she started tapping her fingers (she obviously had nothing to do). Finally, I spoke up and said, "Excuse me, I'm here to pick up an online order." A different employee asked for the name on the order, told me it would be a couple of minutes, then when she handed me my order, I said, "Thanks!" and literally there was silence. I always try to be pleasant but why haven't these employees had training in customer service? I moved to Woodland last year and think many people are friendlier here than where I moved from (Solano County) but not at Mod Pizza. I don't eat fast food but I'm waiting for a new refrigerator so I thought this was a good healthy option. I'll go someplace else next time. So disappointed. :/ read more

A few things to complain about... the oven guy is rude. I was standing waiting for my pizza to go and he said can I help you kindly, but when I said oh I'm just waiting thanks, he gave me a weird look and and said oh um ok. With much attitude. Like I wasn't supposed to stand and wait for my pizza to go. Also half my pizza was burnt black. And third , there was a red/orange hair on my pizza. I only came here because an employee gave me a free pizza card to try it out, because she was actually a customer of mine. But I will never come back here ever again. read more

First time trying MOD last weekend after seeing couple of locations pop-up in our area lately. When I am in mood for fast, inexpensive pizza I usually I go for Blaze but this MOD was conveniently located close to Costco so I decided to check it out. The concept is the same as aforementioned Blaze or Pieology: get a blank canvas pizza crust and choose your own toppings. Everyone who went to either of these places knows that topping overload causes sogginess and is to be avoided by any price. The same applies to MOD, but unlike Blaze they are a little more conservative with topping quantities. The crust is thin but less flavorful than Blaze, more like what you'd find at Pieology. All of their 11" pies are few cents less then $9, and cheese pizza is the same price as the one with 25 toppings (if you want that). Simple cheese pie for less than $6 is one of the reasons why I fell in love with Blaze and MOD was not a match there. They also don't offer fresh mozzarella (cliegine) like Blaze does and overall their crust tastes bland, similar to a cracker. $9 is not a bad price for pizza if it's good, but MOD was just mediocre for me. I will stick to Blaze, even if it means driving few miles and doesn't offer the convenience of MOD. read more

Terrible service, only 2 people in front of me, they do their order then they start working on phone orders for the next 15 minutes as the line gathers behind us. The worst part was they pulled a pizza off the rack that already had sauce on it for god knows how long and proceeded to use it for one of the orders... That's when we walked, why not help the customers standing in line waiting before you worry about take out orders. We spent almost 20 minutes in line while you filled phone orders and made pizza crusts... You ought to hire more help, be more prepared or just do take out! Today was the second time my family has ordered from MOD. The first time was amazing every thing was cooked perfectly and the pizzas tasted great. Today however we recieved some of the worst pizzas I have ever had or seen. All 3 personal pizzas were burned not well done but black. My wifes pizza had all meat toppings missing and the wrong crust. My pizza was absolutely drowned in BBQ sauce,was missing toppings and had the wrong crust. My sons pizza had the correct toppings but was the most burned. I am not sure how they couldve gotten the order so wrong. I understand that mistakes happen but this was beyond a mistake, it makes me question if they have any quality control. I hate giving this place a 1 star because it was good the fist time however todays food was so terrible it more then cancled out the good. We will probably not be ordering from them again simply because its not worth risking recieving a terrible and unedible dinner. read more

If you are gluten intolerant or dairy free this is not the place for you. We are traveling through and I tried to get a salad and no one in the restaurant knew what I could eat. I ended up paying eight dollars for a very small salad with oil and vinegar.The employees told me I could search their website for the ingredients. The pizza was cooked just the way I liked it and tasted amazing. I thought I would try this place again after months of not visiting. Tonight the crust was extra thin and it was just yucky, no favor. The guy was so busy asking me "Anything ELSE?? "" a hundred times that he didn't take the time to make a quality pizza. The previous time I was here the women took time to make my food regardless of the line. So it depends on the person preparing your food. I won't make another effort to come here. $9 down the drain.
