I would come here a lot more often if I didn't live so far away. There have been so many boba places popping up in Sac, and Moo Moo is one of my current favorites (others include Sharetea, and Tea 4 U). At my friend's recommendation, I tried the coconut milk tea with jasmine base and coconut milk (I am dairy intolerant and I appreciate that they offer soy and coconut milk as non-dairy options). I got boba and coconut jelly for my add ins. I loved my drink! My friend got the matcha jasmine milk tea with soy milk and peach popping boba and she liked hers too. I always check in whenever I am here which is like literally almost EVERYDAY so how did I not see that I have not yet written a review...well here goes.... the thing that I like about this place is not only the drinks but the staff here because they are so friendly and welcoming, they greet you with a smile upon your arrival once you enter through door which honestly I think makes my drinks taste better lol because customer service is a plus to me. the environment is family friendly which is very important to me especially when I am a mother of two toddler girls. It's pretty roomy with just enough tables and chairs, they have a few game boards, uno cards, Jenga blocks and such over by the shelving unit next to counter to keep you company. They do tend to get busy every now and then since they only have one POS to take orders from and I notice peek time would be when school is out because the place would get crowded with high school students but the wait/line isn't so bad. Most of the time when I come here I would order the moo moos milk tea with boba and grass Jelly, honey dew kumquat green tea with lychee jelly (recommended to me by their staff members Julie & Sarah who are both super sweet) and also the coconut milk tea with strawberry jelly which is my husband's favorite but with soy milk instead due to his upset stomach and every now and then he'd switch it up to a taro snow bubble. As for my girls they love the frozen strawberry lemonade because it's topped with fresh strawberries which I usually just order one and have it split because they can't finish a reg. size on their own. I can keep going on and on about MoO MoO but I think I'll stop for now because my drink is getting watered down while I am writing this review lol. Overall do I recommend this place, of course I do!! I stopped in here on my way to work for something to sip on at my desk besides coffee and was pleasantly surprised by my drink. For only $3.85, I received a huge (I could have shared it with another person) matcha milk drink with 25% sweetness that tasted good and makes me want to try some other drinks. For 50 cents, you can add a topping to your drink. Me being new to Moo Moo, I didn't know what to try so I opted to go naked and have a plain drink. I was helped by a friendly cashier and the place was clean and if I had looked at my receipt instead of just stashing it my bag, I would have noticed the password at the bottom of the receipt for Moo Moo's free wifi. I noticed my drink tasted a bit rich, so I am not sure if maybe I could have ordered it with low fat milk next time or if maybe it is just me that thought it felt rich. Next time, I'll ask about milk options to make sure I am staying on my somewhat healthy diet. My drink was actually large enough that I saved some of it for later. Moo Moo is in the same shopping center as La Bou, which makes it kind of convenient. It's good to see that some more options have come to that shopping center, since I grew up in Elk Grove and love to have a variety of places for lunch or afternoon coffee-type drinks! I'm currently pregnant so I try to avoid drinking anything with caffeine (which is 90% of the drinks that they offer). I come here occasionally and get the regular Moo Moo milk tea. Service is good here and the people that work here a Nice, but sometimes they get the order wrong even when they repeat it back. The place has plenty of seating here and the environment is pretty chill. It's close to other places to eat at if you wish to get something here for dessert. There is a huge parking lot so parking is never an issue here. The chubby cups are cute but can be an inconvience if you are planning on taking it on a go. I'd highly recommend asking for the travel cup if you are on the go. The only drink I can recommend here is the Moo Moo MT as the other drinks I have tried aren't really good. Unlike other MT place, if you ask for less ice, it still not filled to the top so I recommend not modifying the drink. My Wife and I have been here a few times but all we ever get is their boba teas. The last times we were here, I ordered the Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba and my Wife got a half sweetened Honeydew Milk Tea with boba. The drinks were not bad. The milk tea with jasmine was good because it is something a little different. Usually the milk teas I've tried at Boba Tea House, Quickly, and Tapioca Express are made with black tea (as I've been told). Having milk tea with jasmine is different but still very good. My Wife's half sweetened honeydew milk tea still came out pretty sweet but she wasn't complaining and still finished it all. She couldn't really finish the first time she had the honeydew milk tea because it was too sweet. The boba has a little sweetness to it and the times we gotten the boba they were always fresh and not hard. Fellow yelpers have stated that this place has a "Pinkberry" vibe. I see the comparisons from the walls, to the heavy white chairs, and the varying crowds made up of studious geek chic High School kids or a family spending some quality time. This is a great spot to grab a boba and just just chill. The few times we have been here, it seems that the person taking the orders/cashier are always different people. However, all of them have displayed great customer service and are always patient when a big crowd comes in. We will definitely be coming back. TIP* The drinks only come in one size 25 oz. cups. After witnessing so many new shaved-snow opening up in Sacramento, I am content that one finally opened up in Elk Grove. When I found out that this is in the same plaza as Thai Chilli, I finally made the effort to gather my friends to eat at Thai Chilli (to fulfill my Thai craving) and then walk over to Moo Moo for desserts to give the new place a taste. I simply took advantage of knocking out these birds with a single stone. I came with my group of friends who were all energy depleted from hiking at Mission Peaks just a few hours before. First we yelped Moo Moo and saw a "closed now" due to the hours of operation set to closed on all days but Friday and Saturday, so we sighed and said "To Boba tea house then.. down the streets?" Once we all agreed, we all walked to our cars and began to drive off. What stopped us from leaving the lot was a call from one of the friend who mentioned she saw customers walking in to Moo Moo!! We quickly parked and took glance, and what'ya know.. there were people standing inside ordering!! Thank goodness our friend saw the customers walking in or else we would have listened to Yelp's info and drove off thinking it was closed.. (I'm sure this will change once they come out of the soft-opening stage and have an official store hours up and running) I felt super generous and wanted to treat my friends. Not everyone ordered, but I ended up getting their Moo Moo milk tea with boba, Taro milk tea, and a small passion fruit shaved-snow with longan and egg pudding. Both of the milk tea were good; however, they were too sweet for my taste buds. I didn't notice any options to change the sweetness level. I hope they do implement that in the future as sweetness level is the key to my wallet at a milk-tea store. I enjoyed my shaved-snow. Their "small" size was bigger than I expected, but it worked out perfect since I got to share it. The store is filled with simple white tables with pretty white chairs. I absolutely love the chairs. It bent back a bit as you lean back against the back support. The decor is simple, but at the same time elegant. Workers here were all friendly. They need work on being able to communicate with each other, but they are still new so I imagine this won't be a problem in my future visits. Take advantage of their 20% discount on entire purchase. I think this is my new favorite place in the Sacramento area. After being continuously disappointed with the milk tea and shaved snow selections in Sac, there is finally one that is a bit closer to the places available in the Bay. I came here and tried the green tea shaved snow, pandan shaved snow, and the matcha milk tea. The green tea shaved snow had great flavor, but I found it to be more icy than creamy like shaved snow should be like. The pandan shaved snow...omg I'm in love! I've never seen this at another store before, and it's totally worth the hype. I tried twice, and both times the flavor of pandan was powerful, but the first time wasn't creamy enough, luckily they fixed that the second time. Maybe a little more consistency would be nice. As for the milk tea, it had great flavor but was on the creamy and sweet side, so that will have to be based on a person's preference. I have a huge sweet tooth, so it was perfect for me. My one complaint is the wait time here. During my first visit, to get two shaved snows and 3 drinks took well over half an hour! This really should have taken no longer than 10 minutes total. My second visit they had my order of snow and tea within 3 minutes, so I'm not sure where the inconsistency of their service lies, but there is definitely room for improvement there. My aunt ordered a milk tea with extra boba and I got a mango snow. Overall, the experience was good. My aunt, the true critic of boba loved her milk tea. This place is definitely the best boba place in the area. My favorites spots are still back home in SF but when I'm at school, this will be my go to place. I tried it for the first time today and I loved the milk tea! I originally wanted to come earlier in the week but noticed the hours - when I saw my friend with a moo moo drink at school, I was so confused since I thought the were only open on fri/sat. I usually get either the Moomoo's Milk Tea or the Jasmine Milk Tea. Be wary that it's PRETTY sweet, so I go down to about 50% sweetness. I also am not a fan of boba in general, so I don't think the boba itself is anything to rave about. One of my favorite things about the Jasmine MT though is that it tastes like it's a mixture of the Moomoo's MT, so it's like a a perfect fusion of black milk tea and green if you can't decide. I recently tried the Minty Mojito Coffee and it's pretty good. Slightly strong just the way I like it, and also a good balance of mint. I don't even like mint, but I would totally get that again. I've also had the fruit teas from my boyfriend, tried the Strawberry Jammin (yum) and the Strawberry Blitz (also yum). Altogether the drinks here are pretty solid so it's one of the few boba places I like. read more

Not the best, but not the worst. Their prices are a little high, especially since it doesn't include add-ins. If I remember correctly, it's 50cent per topping. I had the jasmine/green milk tea. It had a nice chinese herbal tea kick to it. I like to taste the tea, but the grass jelly was really disappointing. Tasted like grass jelly straight from the can. But I can't be too quick to judge. I'm willing to give this place another job. It's local and I like to support Elk Grove businesses. Plus, they have killer decor and its really cohesive. I like it. My friend got the Lychee/Passion Fruit Black tea and it was amazing. She added fruit bits to it and that was killer too. Definitely recommended. Came here on a Thursday evening and there was actually quite a lot of people (I'm guessing it's due to the initial hype). My friend and I ordered a black milk tea with grass jelly, green milk tea and thai tea shaved snow. Originally, we asked for less sweetened because I've read Yelp reviews complaining that their drinks are too sweet. BUT the owner reassured us that each cup is balanced perfectly, hence the reason why there's only one cup size. We almost didn't want to say no but in the end I still asked for less sweetened and I'm glad I did because my friend didn't really enjoy her green milk tea. Mine wasn't as overwhelming although it still tasted more milky and I believe they use powder rather than actual tea to make their drinks. The thai tea shaved snow was alright. I would say that for a $5-6 (a small + toppings), the portion is extremely small. You only get 1 free topping (you have to pay for sauce!!! What!?). The mochi was hard and had a hint of artificial flavoring. This place is cash only until their CC is set-up! And disregard the Yelp hours, they're actually opened. Service is friendly/okay. MooMoo is a new boba shop in Elk Grove. It's inside one of the main plazas with plenty of parking. They just soft opened last Friday so they are not running the shop full time but you can still walk in and get a drink. Ambiance is clean- color concept is black and white to reflect their mascot (moo moo the cow) and chairs/tables are exactly the ones you will find at Pinkberry. I got the black milk tea with red bean- I have to say I really don't like these really wide drink containers. None of the cars have that wide of a holder so I'm confused why these cups are prevalent. This is now my all time favorite boba place in Elk Grove. I went here when it first opened and did not like it very much. I didn't think I'd be back but my girl friends really liked this place so we went back a few more times. Honestly, I only went back again to spend time with my friends and the cow is just really cute. It eventually grew on me. A few months after, I think they got better at making their drinks and I started to have favorites I'd always order. Now, I'm addicted and go here at least a few times a month. They have a point system that you can sign up for to build points towards free drinks. I've maxed out the free drink system many times and have gotten many free drinks. I usually get black tea with most of my drinks because it helps bring out the the different flavors more. I always go here after I go to Thai Chili. Moo Moo opens later than most boba places on a Friday and Saturday night so it's a good place to just go after dinner and continue the conversations. Their made to order Thai Iced Tea is so addictive. It is one of the best Thai Teas I have ever had and when I order it at other places (i.e. Quickly, Boba Tea House, etc.) I am just left disappointed. This place has the best tea and most importantly, shaved ice so far in Sac. I really hope they have their credit card merchant set up soon. They didn't have it set up today so I had to go to the Dollar Tree next door for cash back. But it was definitely worth the effort since their tea is super amazing! I got the lavender Jasmine milk tea and it has a really nice bold flavor that most places lack. My friend got the raspberry tea and it was also really good! Their drinks are on the sweet side so I would recommend getting 50% sugar if you don't have a sweet tooth like me. Their shaved ice is also really good and not too sweet. I used to not really like this place, but it has definitely grown on me - I find their black milk tea (Moo Moo's Milk Tea) to be really unique in flavor! The smell is really refreshing and the taste is just the right amount of sweetness. (You can also adjust the sweetness level to your preference). It's a bit more expensive than other milk tea places, but I think the taste is worth it. I recommend getting their black tea and not any of the flavored ones because I think most of the flavored ones are just filled with powder. I tried the Taro Milk Tea once and it was such an artificial purple color. The taste was also really sweet/powdery, and I couldn't really taste the tea flavor anymore. Usually the cups are big and does not fit in your cup holder. The service was great. My review is based on their yogurt blitzes drink only...that's the only drink I've tried lol Inside is super white and clean. Über cute cow logo is everywhere. Love the chairs! They have a large menu of drinks, but I'd never had a yogurt one so that's why I purchased it ....the plain yogurt one tastes like "euro tart" frozen yogurt which is my favorite and they top it with chopped strawberries and some strawberry syrup around the cup. It's actually really yummy and refreshing. It only comes in one large size for $4 with tax it was like $4.90 which isn't bad. You can see scale in pictures. Let me start by saying that our family has been waiting for a while now for Moo Moo to finally open. You can imagine the excitement we all had when we noticed a lite open sign on the Window. Walked in and noticed the nice Ikea like decor. From what we overheard, they are still under construction. Also, they do not have their credit card machine yet so it's cash only for now. My daughter got a shaved snow with condensed milk, mango bursting bobbas, and peach bursting bobbas. My wife ordered a BFF which contains red beans, grass jelly, and milk tea. I ordered the a passion fruit black tea with bobbas. Everything was delicious!! We will definitely be regulars here!! Please note they are still having their soft opening!! Came here with my gf to try out their milk tea and egg pudding. My gf got the Matcha Green Black tea and I got Moo Moo's Milk tea. The Matcha Green tea was okay, tasted like a more liquidy version of a Green Tea Frap from Starbucks. Why five stars? Well Moo Moo's milk tea is one of the best milk teas I've had in Sacramento! No complaints. Nice set up with flooring and theme. Update: Would definitely come back but only if in the vicinity. Not worth a drive just for this fix. Get the regular cup because I came back and got the fat cup which was stacked with ice. My pic shows after 4 large gulps. read more
