Love the atmosphere here and it's always packed! The food is a hit or miss though. I would recommend getting a couple plates and sharing all of them. Mango dragonade- it was yummy!! Mango, dragonfruit and a splash of orange juice Orange juice - freshly squeezed, classic Baba ganoush- it was sooooo good: kind of on the sweeter side. Wish they gave more bread with this though. Syrini with mango custard- I was trying to decide between this or the crepes with ricotta and passion fruit custard. It was really good for the first couple bites and I got tired of it and wanted to eat something else. Def better to share this. Tuna salad sandwich - so good! It wasn't too cold and I say that because typically I don't like salad sandwiches because they're cold. My friends really enjoyed the Humshaka here so I'll try that next time.

My friend recommended we check it out as it was on our way to The Grove. The aesthetics were cool. After a 30min wait the staff was able to get us in with no reservation. We didn't expect this as there was a line going out the door and it was a hour and a half before closing time. Hats off to the staff as they were clearly juggling a lot yet remained friendly and attentive throughout the whole experience. Dishes were decently priced but taste wise they didn't really stand out. Cappuccino on the other hand was great.

I came across Mood on Third after seeing a ton of great reviews, and I totally get why people talk about it. The vibe is real. It feels lively, multicultural, and honestly kind of fun just sitting there and hearing different languages all around you. It makes the whole experience feel a little more elevated and interesting, like you're part of something happening. We didn't have reservations and still got seated right away, which was a huge plus, but MAKE RESERVATIONS because that's literally the first thing they ask and it just makes everything smoother. Service is where this place really shines. I'm not exaggerating when I say it felt like there were multiple people taking care of our table at all times. The staff is incredibly attentive, constantly checking in, asking what you need next, making sure everything is moving. The food came out fast too, which I appreciated. You can tell they're really on top of their operation, and the energy from the team is genuinely warm and welcoming. Now, the reason I can't give it a full five stars is the seating situation. It's tight. Like, really tight. You are basically side by side with strangers, close enough to hear their entire conversation while they hear yours. You can actually feel how slightly uncomfortable people are when they first sit down, including us. I get that they're trying to maximize space, but it definitely takes away from the overall comfort. As for the food, it was good, just not something I'd personally come back for. It didn't wow me flavor-wise, even though everything looked great and came out quickly. Also, I always find it a little funny when they immediately ask "sparkling or tap," because you already know they're trying to nudge that bill up. Not a dealbreaker, just something I notice every time. Overall, I'd give it about a 4.5. It's absolutely worth coming at least once for the vibe and the service alone, but I do think the food could use a little more flavor to match everything else they're doing right.

The place was great. It looks modern and fresh, I really like the stylish design. We came around 11 am on Sunday and it was pretty busy, so I'd recommend booking a table in advance. We didn't wait long though, just like 5 minutes. Service was quick, everyone was super nice, and everything looked clean. Food was really good. I got the ricotta crepes with passion fruit curd. It was a perfect mix of sweetness. Crepes were fresh and my cappuccino was also really good. We tried baba ganoush too, it was interesting and nice to try. My boyfriend got the hash brown plate and added 2 eggs and bacon. He really liked everything. We would definitely come back again, just next time with a reservation.

My friend and I went for brunch on Monday morning. There was plenty of street parking (pay by text) on 3rd street. It was a great space, open, cute/trendy, and plenty of seats. The host asked if we had a reservation but luckily it wasn't super busy and they were able to seat us. Server was nice and friendly. We wanted to share the pancakes or waffles but the server recommended the passionfruit crepes, which were delicious. The ricotta was very light and sweet and the heavy passionfruit sauce complemented it perfectly. We ordered the following: - Mooood latte- there was a dragon berry cold foam on this iced latte. It was very good. - Mimosas - Eggs Benedict- the eggs on this benedict was cooked perfectly. I really enjoyed this dish and it was also a very big portion. They gave me the option of putting a protein on it but I just had it as it was. - Tartufo Scramble Sandwich- open sandwich with mushrooms and eggs with a perfect balance of truffle. I enjoyed this dish too. With 2 mimosas, crepes and everything above, came out to about $100. I would definitely return as I would like to try the other items. Both my friend and I enjoyed our brunch at mood.

Sometimes, you walk into a place and roll your eyes and say: "That's so LA" Sometimes you walk into a place with a smile as you look at the food and go:"That's so LA!" It really shouldn't take you long to figure out which I did when I ate here. This is exactly the kind of food you SHOULD find in Beverly Hills, and all credit due there is quite a lot of joy to be had when you eat here for breakfast. Our server was patient while we very eagerly parked to sample their offerings, and I really have to talk about the way it felt like the way our food plated, it was if we plucked it straight from a gourmet cooking show. And the way everything tasted fresh was enough to make my taste buds beg for more, I'm very sure you'll be in a good mood after stopping by. While the prices initially made me raise my eyebrows, with the quality I'm getting, I completely understand the LA experience now. Cheers!

fyi it's pretty much street parking we were able to find a spot in the residential area nearby. the restaurant is an indoor/outdoor vibe with 2 levels. I was greeted by two very nice girls when I arrived. Just know that you need a reservation on Sundays--the place is packed and definitely more of a scene than I expected, which honestly makes me hesitant to come back. Parking is another challenge. There's no valet and it's very difficult to find parking, so plan extra time if you decide to go. One thing they mention quickly that you should really pay attention to: they limit your table to an hour and a half. I personally think that's a pretty frustrating policy. Going out to eat is expensive these days, so it's worth choosing places where you can relax and enjoy your time. That said, the food was spot on--fresh and very good. It's a family-owned restaurant run by a Ukrainian family, which is something I do appreciate and think is worth supporting. So now you know reader: great food and fresh ingredients, but tough parking and a strict 1 1/2-hour time limit. Up to you whether it's worth it.

Mood has a cute outdoor brunch vibe. We didn't have a reservation in a Monday Holiday for brunch, but were able to get a table quickly. I do recommend reservations as it was very busy and when we left there was a lot long line. I ordered the mood latte and the shashuka. Both weee really good. We also shared the mini pancakes, and those are nothing special. I'd prefer one larger pancake with better flavor and consistency. My friend ordered steak and eggs and liked her meal. Overall it is a cute brunch spot with decent food, and a good vibe.

MOOD was definitely a VIBE! I came here for brunch with some girlfriends while traveling out of town. We came on a Monday without reservations and were seated within 10 minutes. We ordered the Shakshuka ($19), Steak & Eggs ($28), and the Overnight Oats ($16). I always have to order an alcoholic beverage while I'm out at brunch, so I also ordered the Hugo Lavender ($14) - Prosecco, Elderflower, Lavender, Lime. Everything was beautifully presented and colorful. I had to snap some pictures/videos before everyone dug in. The table fell quiet quickly after we tasted the food because everything was delicious. I would definitely love to come back during better weather since we happened to be visiting during a rainstorm.

We came on a Saturday afternoon and do be warned as they seat you if you made a reservation and they work like clockwork. Luckily there was an opening and they had us seated fairly quickly. Interior was very well decorated, including the bathroom, and had even two floors with shade on the top floor ! We ordered the Red Velvet, Mood Latte, Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, and the steak and eggs. The red velvet was really delicious and tasted like a lemonade ! They set the alcohol aside if you wanted as a shot or with the juice. The mood latte was your typical latte but the cream was a great addition; I would've just liked more espresso in it. The eggs Benedict was a pleasantly huge portion and I definitely recommend adding a protein for additional flavor! Would love to try again when I visit LA!

This was my first time coming here for a solo brunch, and I really enjoyed it! The drinks and food were both great. I also loved the patio setup--it feels very open and relaxing, perfect for a weekend morning. The portions are quite generous (bigger than I expected--I couldn't finish everything!). The highlight for me was definitely the Brussels sprouts. They were cooked perfectly and presented so beautifully that I almost didn't want to eat them and ruin the plating. read more

My family and I were staying nearby and decided to give this place a try. Unfortunately, we arrived during a rainstorm, and most of the seating is under a covered structure with some exposed areas, so it was a bit windy and wet. Despite the weather, our server did a phenomenal job taking care of us. She brought out blankets, took our order quickly, and made sure we were comfortable. Fun spot along the walkable stretch of 3rd Street. We loved the patio atmosphere which totally takes advantage of our fantastic weather. It's a brunch and lunch vibe for sure. The service is fantastic. The hosts and waiters/waitresses are phenomenally friendly and attentive. Lots of smile. Their cheeks must hurt. The steak and eggs hit the spot. We've been going more in the direction of whole food dining so this spot is an easy one for that. It's very busy on the weekends so try to make a reservation. They'll accommodate if they can but be prepared for a limit on table time because they're in demand! read more

I came here for a Saturday brunch. I was seated pretty quickly since I was by myself. Neighborhood parking is available. Ambiance was very nice, with half of the restaurant being outside. I was seated on the rooftop area. I ordered the simple American plate. The food was very aesthetically pleasing, but, unfortunately, the taste didn't match. I ordered my eggs scrambled with cheese, but there was way too much cheese. Felt like I was eating more cheese than eggs to be honest. Pancakes were dry even after using a lot of syrup and butter. The bacon was very good tho. Definitely the best thing on the plate. I also got the tiramisu latte, which was delicious, 9/10. The service was also very good. I would come back to try some of the Ukrainian dishes on the menu, which I saw other guests enjoying. read more

Mood is such a moodddd. We had a girls' brunch here, after my friend found this spot on TikTok. The food was good but not worth the wait we had. We arrived without reservations at peak brunch hours on Saturday. They prioritize reservations and are quite busy. They provided us with a wait of 30-40 minutes, but we ended up waiting over an hour. It was quite unfortunate because we were standing in the sun for quite some time seeing others come in and out. In terms of service, we got mixed vibes from them. Our waitress was sweet and apologetic about the wait, but my friend didn't have the best interactions with other staff. For brunch, I needed something nourishing! I had the Eggs with Greens and Quinoa. It tasted like how it sounded. Huge portion of protein, veggies, and other tasty stuff. I wasn't wowed but it filled me up pretty quickly. My friends all enjoyed their brunch items! Everything was so aesthetic. Mood is a vibey spot for brunch. Be mindful of long waits, decent service, but good food. Prices are typical for LA. Cute and aesthetic brunch spot! I made a reservation for Sunday morning and it was pretty packed. Parking is a bit difficult since the neighborhoods are all permit parking but just keep going down 3rd St. My party ordered the Shakshuka, Bacon Hash Browns, Tartufo Scramble Sandwich, and Syrniki with mango. My favorite dish was the syrniki as it was not too sweet and fluffy. Every dish was prepared with lots of bold flavors. Would highly recommend this brunch spot! read more

Mood: Rude. Staff stuck up. Don't eat here. Staff uses the fact that they English isn't their first language to turn their nose up at you and pretend like it's a language barrier and aren't offensive. Front staff at door makes my "Mood" gross. Atmosphere looks awesome tho, but the attitude left a bad taste. Had to leave. read more

We went there on a Saturday and we got brunch. The Steak taste good and the Pastrami Sandwich was the best Sandwich. The cheese on the Pastrami was really good and it was melted well. The sauce of the Pastrami sandwich was the star of the show! The latte was a bit bitter but it wasn't bad. The service was a bit confusing tho, we didn't understand what they were trying to say half the time. They couldn't hear our order well and it was just a small area of sitting which they couldn't come close to. We had to take our plates from far away when they brought it. It just the small details that kinda make the experience not as good that I noticed. I liked the food though it was worth the price. Such a cute spot for brunch! We came here to celebrate a birthday and stayed for a couple hours because it was such a nice place to chat. The servers give you a lot of privacy throughout the meal which I appreciate. For food, I highly recommend the Mezze Mood Set to share. It's a great way to try a lot of the dips and also the falafel. My favorite from this platter was the Beetroot Hummus because it's so different. The Shakshuka was also enjoyable and flavorful, but I think I will try the Humshuka (hummus variation) next time. My caramel iced coffee was just okay, so I would skip the drinks and visit another place nearby. read more

I was looking for a cute spot to get brunch with my mom around Beverly Hills and The Grove since we had some errands to run in the area. I am so happy I stumbled upon this spot! The area is huge and they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Their patio is massive and is very open, green, and full of natural sunlight. Our waitress was so nice and attentive of us. She had great recommendations on what to order. We did not get any of their speciality coffee or matcha but all their drinks looked so good! For food we ordered: - Tartufo scramble sandwhich: my mom ordered this and loved it! This dish comes with a delicious slice of perfectly buttered and toasted sourdough, with a base of truffle, cream cheese, scrambled eggs, topped with abundant mushrooms and sea salt. It's absolutely so decadent and beautiful. The portion was a lot larger than we expected which was very pleasantly surprising. Very satisfying bite. - Humshuka: I'm a big fan of hummus and shakshuka so this was the obvious choice for me. The hummus was creamy, and perfectly balanced the shakshuka which was richly spiced with harissa and tomatoes-- giving it the perfect warm and comforting feel. I liked how they made it with soft boiled eggs instead of the fried eggs. This came with a ton of cilantro on top which tasted very fresh and added a nice herbal touch. The dish came with another slice of their perfectly toasted sourdough. I also added some grilled chicken for extra protein which was so tender and not too overly seasoned which was perfect because it didn't overpower the spices from the shakshuka. Loved this dish! Felt lighter than other hummus shakshuka dishes I've had but still satisfying. - Syrniki with mango custard: we had a long debate of whether to get the traditional syrniki or the mango custard ones. We opted for the latter which was very good! This came with 3 syrniki which all had a generous size. They were a bit crumbly but very moist and fluffy. These felt only very lightly sweetened and had a lot of protein from the cottage cheese which I appreciated since I was full for a long time. The mango custard was sweeter than the syrniki and gave them a nice tropical touch. This was a lot more runny than I expected but it served as a nice sauce! They were very generous with the amount of fresh berries and crushed nuts! I definitely want to try the regular ones next time. Overall, I absolutely loved this place! The portions were generous, the presentation was excellent, the ambiance is super cute and LA, and the service was really warm and welcoming. Special shoutout to Sofia for being so nice to us and explaining things on the menu. Highly recommend this place if you want a very cute, outdoorsy place for brunch with healthy food and impeccable LA vibes. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! One of my guest had a deathly allergic reaction to Cashews during dinning in this establishment. After informing the server of her DEATHLY nut allergy she then ordered an entree that contains Cashews in the sauce unknowingly. After getting a slight taste of food she instantly knew. Then we asked OUR server(the same server who placed our order and was informed of this allergy) asking "is there peanuts or any form of nuts in this sauce" the server then says "yes there is, did you inform your server of the allergy".... That shows the lack of customer service and the lack of attentiveness from the server. Even when ordering our entrees/sides our server jumped to the next guest in my party almost leaving me with an incomplete meal. Not once did I hear "will that be all for you".Other than that the food LOOKS AMAZING. The matcha was delicious. The food was a 1/10 in our opinion. The side of bacon and potato was delicious. Our entrees in all honesty were all looks. The taste was extremely disappointing. I had ordered a plain omelette with sour dough bread. Very plain with no real flavor. Another guest who dined in along side me order french toast and it was hard to the point she needs to slice off the hard crust. The bread also had no flavor. The exterior and interior of the restaurant is honestly beautiful. But then they always say don't judge a book by its cover. This was one of the most disappointing experiences at a restaurant I have ever had. The Manger was genuinely helpful trying to make matters right but when it comes to the lack hospitality from the servers it made this a terrible experience. An allergy needs to be taken seriously. With the amount of carelessness my guest could have lost their life. In my overall opinion, it is a beautiful place to come for strictly " aesthetic" reasons. But if you are looking for servers who care for your dining experience and you're health then sadly I will recommend a different location. read more

Easy reservations via Google but if you were to walk in on a Saturday it wouldn't be too bad either! The tables moved pretty quick and the seating area is quite large downstairs and upstairs. Service was very quick but we were waiting for another party and they were quite nice about it. Full Brunch dishes under $20!! Including avocado on the Benedict! And very well made! So delicious and fresh , hash was so crispy and well seasoned too. For a casual cute outdoor brunch spot to catch up, it was perfect. Only con is street parking really sucks. Yummy lattes, delicious salads, great service! My friend and I came to brunch and catch up, and first of all, I'm so grateful the servers were not pushy about me arriving 10 minutes before my friend. They sat me and were patient (yall know how LA can be about that). I got a delicious caramel latte with beautiful heart art on the top, and for my brunch item I got the kale & caesar salad with shrimp, which was DELECTABLE! Every bite was yummy, and those may have been the most delicious croutons I've had in my life. My friend got a salad with steak and gave me a bite: SCRUMPTIOUS. As a Ukrainian, I truly miss the cozy cafés we have back home, and Mood LA genuinely made me feel at home. I chose Mood LA to celebrate my birthday, and it turned out to be the best experience. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the service was amazing--so warm, attentive, and helpful. Found this on TikTok and it is such a nice brunch spot. The outdoor patio is great as it's covered. We made reservations online first so getting seated was quick. Parking isn't very easy. You'll have to do street parking or valet across the street for $10 flat rate. Food was good except the one gripe I'll have is what they describe as Sweet. But first we got the - dragon mint matcha 4/5 (a tad milky for my preference) - shakshuka 5/5. Just as you'd expect! - sea buckthorn apple tea 2.5/5. Asked for a super sweet drink but got underwhelming. - syrniki 1/5. TLDR; it's not sweet enough or at all to be put under the sweet menu When we got the syrniki, it was beautiful presentation but when you bite into it, all of the sweetness you'd expect isn't there. It just felt like cottage cheese with no taste. We didn't know what syrniki was but it looked like a very popular dish. It looks like pancakes but was told it's made of cheese. That didn't mean anything to us. When we asked the staff how it compared to a pancake they just said it's different but good. They did advise us that people were disappointed by it but we still went for it because how bad can it be if it's on the sweet menu? came here with my mother on a saturday, we waited about 10 minutes and ended up being sat at a large table with 8 strangers. wasn't a bar setting or anything like that, just a large table with a bunch of groups awkwardly sat together. my mother got an eggs benedict and enjoyed it! the hashbrown was great and it was a large portion. i got the mini pancakes and unfortunately did not enjoy them, neither did my mother. they were very flat and dry, even with the sauces it felt like eating cardboard topped with chocolate sauce. interesting experience! read more

This is a cute outdoor Ukrainian owned brunch spot. You can tell they put a lot of emphasis on creating a nice environment with aesthetic looking food and drinks. This place is just your classic brunch spot, nothing too special or out of the ordinary, but it's reliable. I ordered the hashbrowns your way, and really loved the hashbrowns, but everything else was pretty ordinary. We also tried their Syrniki, which I was expecting to taste more like a soufflé pancake however, it's more of a cheesecake bread pancake. It was still good, but unexpected. I happened to come across this place on a Sunday morning because the original place I wanted to get brunch at had a long wait. For food, I got hash brown my way with an add-on of bacon. This is one of the most well-balanced breakfast/brunch plates I've ever had. I liked all the components and everything worked well together from the soft poached eggs to the beetroot hummus. Lots of variety. The veggies were fresh and it seemed like everything was house made. Wow, this is such a trendy and cute spot for brunch! I went here with a friend this weekend and had a great experience. While the upstairs area was nice, I thought--just based on observation--that the downstairs looked much cuter. I do feel like the upstairs could use a bit more decor to match the downstairs vibe (e.g., plants on the tables or additional decorations) SERVICE The service was really great! There wasn't one specific waitress assigned to us--it felt like 2 or 3 staff members were working upstairs--but they were all very attentive and friendly. I'm not sure how many were working downstairs since we were seated upstairs, but everything, from water to food, came out incredibly fast. So attentive! FOOD All the food on the menu was beautiful--very colorful and appealing. I ordered the French toast, which looked amazing. While it tasted good, I'm a huge French toast fan, and I felt like it was more visually impressive than flavor-wise. It could be because I'm used to traditional maple syrup, and this dish was topped with other ingredients instead (please see attached photo). To be fair, maple syrup might have overpowered the other flavors, but that's just my personal preference. On the other hand, the iced vanilla latte with oat milk was yummy! I really enjoyed it. My friend also liked her food, and the prices were reasonable especially given the area. OVERALL Overall, I'd rate the French toast a 4 out of 5, iced vanilla oat milk latte 5 out of 5, but the overall experience deserves a full 5 out of 5. The vibes were great, whether you're catching up with a friend, hanging out with your girls, or just enjoying the ambiance. I do hope to be seated downstairs next time because it looked even cuter! That said, this place is way more preferred to "Toast Bakery" next door, which I used to love. Unfortunately, Toast Bakery changed management, and it's not the same anymore. As of today, January 27, 2025, "Mood" is the place to go! Super super cute, and I'm excited to see what they'll have in the future!! Definitely coming back again! read more

Unfortunately, I never received a reply. I'm sharing this so others can be aware. Hot beverages should be served safely, lids should be secure, and customers should be warned when a drink is hot enough to cause burns. We both ordered cheesecake and we loved them. Very fresh, flavorful, and creamy in texture. I had the Oreo Cheesecake and my friend had the Mocha Cheesecake. My friend also had a Fusion Mocha Shake which he said tasted great with the right amount of mocha flavoring for his taste. We spoke to the owner/baker after we ate to compliment his desserts. I asked how business was and he said unfortunately slow. He mentioned how restaurants in general were having a hard time in the current uncertain economy. It has nothing to do with his products. We had an amazing breakfast at Mood! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. You can really tell that the food is prepared with care and attention to detail. The atmosphere is beautiful, cozy, and very welcoming, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal. Wow--what an incredible experience! This place is exceptionally welcoming and perfect for a big birthday brunch. The food was outstanding--the best French toast I've ever had in my life. Every dish was beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and absolutely perfect. Even on a busy Sunday afternoon, when the staff was swamped and short-handed, they remained kind, attentive, and incredibly helpful. Despite the rush, their service never wavered. As a Ukrainian, I'm so proud to know that this beautiful spot is owned by Ukrainian people! The atmosphere is stunning -- modern, stylish, and inviting. They offer upscale breakfast options that are both clean and delicious. I highly recommend trying Syrniki with mango sauce -- absolutely amazing! We enjoyed every single bite.
