Work in progress is the best way to describe Moongoat Greenhouse. It is a very unique location, beautiful, with lots of sunshine. They serve wonderful coffee. They also have a expansive sandwich menu with a full kitchen in the back. There are a lot of positives: great location, coffee, food choices. There are also a lot of seats and tables. On the "We can Improve" section: they have no central vent in the kitchen, so the whole place stinks of fried meat, and it is not a pleasant smell. The coffee does not have any prices on it. Theyhave a very limited amount of pastries. We found it not easy to find a seat. The place was full of people on their laptops. If they correct these issues, I would give the place a higher score for sure. Lots of potential. read more

I've been looking forward to checking out this place for a while and am really glad that I was able to finally make it out here. The greenhouse was beautiful and there was plenty of seating inside and outside. I got a pumpkin spice latte with whole milk and my friend got the matcha latte. My PSL looked great and was delicious. The matcha latte was a bit diluted though. I've had matcha lattes at other Moongoat locations and the lack strength seems to be a common occurrence at those locations as well. Overall though this place is the perfect place to get work done and/or chat with friends. I'd highly recommend checking it out! read more

Looking for a place to park and work? Meet up with friends? A place you can freely roam around inside or out? Look no further! This place is the right spot. We came here for a couple hours and worked, had coffee, then ordered food and then walked to the gardens outside. Plenty of space with the high cielings and lots of open seating, some with outlets for your laptop and free wi-fi of course! Parking is limited as far as duration but you can move your car if needed, the lot is just across the street. If you are just picking up a quick order, there are a few spots right outside the door. This cafe was very cute! Immediately when you walk in, you feel like you're inside a greenhouse because of the many windows giving it an open calm vibe. The food options were decent for a coffee shop, they had things like avocado toast and lunch type of grab and go sandwiches and salads. They also sold merch like coffee beans and tote bags. I got the avocado toast, and liked how the tomatoes and arugula complemented the avocado paste. The tomato made it different from the avocado toast I make at home. I wouldn't say it's life changing but it was definitely a good, healthy grab and go option. I liked that they gave 2 toasts, which made it worth the cost. The matcha was solid as well, it's more on the grassy vegetal style so if that's your type of matcha, this is the place for you. There were a few 20 min parking spots in the lot. Brunch time is pretty packed and loud so i recommend going later. Although the food is a little pricey, it does look really good so I'm definitely coming back to try it. Usually I don't like to mix my matcha with anything but I heard the banana matcha was great so I tried it. It was pretty solid where the flavors didn't overwhelm the other. Came for the vibe/ambiance since I knew drinks + food were gonna be ok!! I've been to their other locations and they're meh. Came in around 10:30 on a Saturday morning and it was already super crowded! Such a cute spot but it was definitely loud if you were planning on studying here. The drinks were all very yummy! The matcha latte was solid, the churro latte was scrumptious and the hulk juice was unique! This was the second time I tried this place and the coffee is just a big miss. First time I came I asked for oatmilk and they use a fermented oatmilk which is wild to me. Coffee is already acidic and a fermented oatmilk just made everything sour. This time I opted for whole milk and the coffee just isn't it right. I don't know if it's the pull of the espresso or the water filtration because it leaves a sour after taste. The chai is fine wish it had more cinnamon I knew from the color it wasn't going to taste right. Moongoat has a few locations, but this has been the most beautiful one I've visited, and people seem to agree since it was fairly full while having plenty of seating. Coming in at the time that I did (approx. 6:20), there was maybe 2 ppl who were already in front of me who had ordered. But the time I ordered both the customers had received their items. So the service is efficient. The establishment is very clean, and has organized merchandise. This place is pretty massive comparing that to the sizes of other cafe shops I've visited. It looks like you can do work and school assignments here. I enjoy the sight sensory of a clean and spacious coffee spot. I had ordered a 16oz. Iced Vanilla Latte with Strawberry Cream Cold Foam a with whole milk. The 16oz size does come with two shot espresso. I was delicious. I also ordered their Deluxe Avocado Toast. That comes with fresh smashed avocado, arugula, bacon, a poached boiled egg, tomatoes and a balsamic glaze on top. I took the tomatoes off so you won't see that in the photo. I have a dent I've stomach. Pick and choose my battles of acidity haha. It was delicious still. I can't wait to come back and do some personal study or work here. Cute new location right next to south coast and segerstrom. Parking was a little confusing, but basically there should be a parking lot and structure right across from moongoat. You can park in the structure and get your parking validated at moongoat. The drinks were pretty refreshing. I enjoyed the sparkling matcha a lot more than the toasted matcha (hojicha) which was a lot more light and didn't have as much depth as I was expecting. There are also cute plants on sale in the shop. While initially it didn't look like there were many seating options, there are actually quite a few nooks and crannies plus outdoor seating, so you'll most likely be able to find a table. read more

I've always loved the original Moongoat, but the parking situation there can be rough, and finding a table with an outlet is impossible sometimes. and I absolutely hate it when they shut WiFi off and make you walk to that crappy warehouse. When I found out this new location opened (and saw the photos), I knew I had to check it out. Parking: Huge upgrade here! You get 2 hours free with validation, and if you're planning to stay longer, you can actually drive your car out and re-enter to reset the clock. Super convenient for anyone working or studying for the day. Seating: This place shines when it comes to seating. Tons of tables, plenty of outlets for all your devices, and the space is well-lit with a really nice vibe. It does get busy, though, so come early if you need to lock down a good workstation. Food & Drink: Moongoat coffee never disappoints, always smooth and flavorful. Food-wise, this location is solid too. I tried the avocado toast and swapped the bacon for ham, which was surprisingly good! Plants: One of the coolest parts: all the plants you see around the shop are actually for sale. Prices are reasonable, and it adds a fun touch to the atmosphere. Definitely check out the selection (I posted some pics). Overall, this is a fantastic addition to the Moongoat family. I was looking forward to visit this place but had a really bad experience. 1) Let's start with something (the only thing) that is good which is the ambience inside the cafe. 2) I ordered multiple items from the menu (smoked salmon sandwich, latte, bagel with cream cheese, and a latte. They were all average and to be fair prices were not terrible for the area. For some reason, the salmon did not have smoky flavor. The donut was more of a cake and my son could not eat it. I had it and it was fine for me. I ordered a medium latte but couldn't get the coffee taste. 3) We sat at the patio on the couches. The table was covered in dirt and dust. I don't even know when they cleaned it last time. The couches have stains all over too. That is really not acceptable. 4) The service doesn't exist because it is self service which is fine but it is annoying that they start tipping at a high percent for non-existing service. What is annoying is that I had to carry all the food and had to have two trips to their counter because they do not offer a TRAY to carry your food. WHY? WHY? WHY? 5) the last and the worst: There was hair in my food. Check the picture. That tells you something about the hygiene standards of this business. There's only twenty minute parking at the front so you have to cross the street, park in the structure, and validate your ticket. Stopped by for coffee and a quick bite today and had a good visit overall. This place is located near South Coast Plaza, and they offer free validation for the parking garage across the street (so don't be lame and park in front of the restaurant because you're just blocking the road). The shop itself is such a cool vibe; it's got plenty of inside and outside seating and the place was super busy. The staff were all super nice, but it's definitely clear that they've got some kinks to work out between how fast drinks get made vs how quick the kitchen works - we got our food very quickly, but our drinks took another 15 minutes which made our whole experience feel a bit disjointed. I think they also need to figure out how people move through the restaurant because there were tons of people standing around for their items and it congested the restaurant more than it should have. We ordered a Banana Matcha Latte, Churro Latte, and the Breakfast Biscuit Sandwich (Deluxe). The Banana Matcha was definitely the star, and I'd highly recommend trying that. The Churro Latte was too sweet and didn't have enough cinnamon, so it was kind of a miss (I also ordered cold foam for it and there wasn't much cold foam at all). The sandwich was good, but I didn't taste any of their chili jam (which comes in the deluxe version). Overall I think this place has a ton of potential and is still working out the kinks as a new restaurant. Pretty cool coffee shop with great ambiance. It's called a greenhouse for a certain reason - half of the roof and walls are glass, providing a well-lit space to work or chill with plenty of seating. The plants that decorate the shop are well maintained and for sale. Coffee is good here with a variety of roasts. Picked up a bag of coffee beans and the instant "moongo" coffee packs. This coffee shop has been my go-to for months now and every time I visit I try a new drink that's always delicious. It's absolutely beautiful inside, and I've come here to study and do homework quite a few times because of how nice it is.
