Wouldn't even give 1 star but no Zero option! My friend and I ordered 3 drinks and they were VERY watery, unsweetened and lacked flavor. We simply explained this calmly and politely to the very nice young man at the register and then the owner came over and she proceeded to overly explain that she uses organic products and they just aren't as sweet as "what we might be use to". She told us we "should be mad at Costco" for her ingredients. She insulted us as if we don't live in a city that widely offers "organic" ingredients, as if we aren't both VERY health conscious and consume organic, natural ingredients regularly. She said "maybe you just need to go back to Starbucks rather than a place that offers organic ingredients." She yelled, she huffed and puffed and hit the counter. I'd hate to think her reason was because she ASSUMED we were young Black girls and not the very mature women that we are, but it certainly gave off that impression because her tone changed once she found out we were older than we appeared to be. She asked us "what do you do for a living and how old are you", as if that information had any bearing on our abililty to determine that something doesn't taste good, organic or not. She didn't offer to remake, apologize for the lack of flavor or anything. Only after ARGUING, yelling and insulting us did she finally have here new employee refund our money because she was too flustered to process herself. The customer that had ordered after us even requested a refund after listening to how insulting and belittling she was. As a "new business owner in the area", she seemed frustrated that not only had we complained, but others had also complained previously. Her frustration with the taste of her products reflected in how she treated her new customers! She pointed out her "right to refuse service sign" and proceeded to tell us to "get out, we aren't welcome to come back to her store." Which is totally fine, we would NEVER return. I'm disgusted as a fellow business owner and potential new customer, as to how she treated ppl who were excited to support her small local business that had a super cute ambiance, but she definitely made it so ugly with her attitude and behavior, not to mention disgusting products. read more

What a pleasant surprise. My husband and I were looking for a Vietnamese restaurant in Long Beach for a quick fix and we came across Moonrise. We ordered egg rolls, some rice dish with pork chops. The meat was tender and juicy. The drinks are pretty good too, we ordered milk tea with boba and a Thai green tea. I have to say, their drinks are better than some of the boba places I have tried. I usually go to Garden Grove for my pork banh mi. (Vietnamese sandwich). My wife found this place on Yelp because we did not want drive to OC. The sandwich was great and fresh, Pork was seasoned just right, I ordered it without pate. They do add butter to the bread which I like but this is different from what I am normally used. I will continue to come here when I need to get my banh mi on. read more

I ordered a salmon sushi roll. it's clearly sushi from a can. for 10 dollars this was just awful. as i was waiting the owner just doesn't have any clue on customer service. shes on her phone a lot. this isn't ur home this is a restaurant. might as well say her food is worst then a 10 year old learning how to make sushi. never coming back. i don't recommend you either. read more

Came across this place while out shopping and had a grilled pork banh mi. It was pretty good! Baguette was fresh and crispy on outside, soft and chewy on the inside. You need to be open when your hours of operation say you are. It's one of the basic tenets of running a business and maintaining a professional standard. If you want to be open 3 days a week, that's fine, but you need to be open on those three days and not shut down and go home early if business is slow on that day. If customers never know if and when you are actually open, we can never plan to order food from there and your business will never be one of the restaurant we will ever consider. read more

I stumbled across this place and I'm glad I did! I ordered the grilled beef sandwich and the mango smoothie! Both were amazing! I've had similar Vietnamese sandwiches before but, this is for sure the best I've had. The bread was warm and soft not hard and barely edible and the meat melted in your mouth... sooo delicious. The smoothie.... Amazing, I have no other words for it lol very pleased with the service as well, everyone was so nice! I wish I had a picture but, I ate the sandwich before I even made it home.
