Absolutely delicious. My fiancé and I were out and about Monday evening looking for somewhere good to eat. I stumbled upon moose tooth grill and once he found out there was endless fries he was all in. Sat at the bar which was really fun. The bartender was so nice and was even able to suggest a good drink for me. I got the moose-tini (I believe that's what it was called) but oh so good and made perfectly. My fiancé got the JD Burger and I got the crispy chicken sandwich. Everything was amazing and the burgers were so big and filling we ended up passing on more fries. Also ended up buying one of their glasses to take home which my fiancé loves. Definitely recommend and will be back again before the season ends for some more amazing food. Nice place to take the kids for a quick dinner. The waiter was quick and consistent. I ordered the grilled chicken pesto panini which was pretty decent. Only thing missing was the chicken...literally there were a few chunks of chicken in each half of my sandwich. My daughter ordered boneless mild wings which were too hot for her and really were just buffalo chicken fingers. My other daughter ordered the honey BBQ wings which she enjoyed. My wife enjoyed her bacon burger and loved the cole slaw. They charged an extra dollar for each of my daughters to have a refill of their drinks (really?!). They have a limited dessert menu. We ordered the lava cake and apple crisp. However, they were out of apple crisp. Only other options were s'mores and ice cream. So we passed on the dessert. Would I come back? Sure, only because the kids would want to. The atmosphere consists of stuffed moose heads and bears with thunder and lightening. It's a fun place. We got a bloomin' onion, which was not bad, but not half as good as Outback. My bacon cheeseburger was pink in the middle and the bacon was undercooked and chewy. My wife's asain salad sucked. The dressing was as thick as mayonnaise. It comes with pot-stickers - the frozen kind you get at Wal-mart and they were overcooked ... in a MICROWAVE! - so chewy you can't even eat them. My kids' meal was macaroni and cheese for $7. It was less than half a box of "Kraft Cheese and Macaroni." That costs 50 cents at any grocery store in America and they charged us $7! On the way out, I saw a large group of tourists going in and told them, "you don't want to go in there," and they didn't. You shouldn't either. read more

Picture a smaller version of the Rainforest Cafe with better food. The atmosphere in the restaurant is unique and a hit with the kids. Periodically a player piano will kick on, and every 20 minutes a 'thunderstorm' will roll through with sounds of thunder and the overhead lighting flickering on and off. My boyfriend and I were spending the weekend in Lake George and after reading some good reviews on Yelp, we decided to give the Moose Tooth Grill a try, which was a short walk from the hotel we stayed at. We LOVED it! We came right at peak dinner time and were seated right away. Our waiter, Dan, was very friendly and attentive. We got the boneless buffalo wings as an appetizer, and ordered their home made root beer for drinks. For our meals, I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with a side salad, and my boyfriend ordered the bacon cheeseburger with a side of fries. He also decided to try one of their local craft beers, the Bare Naked Ale. The food came out very quickly, but we did not feel rushed at all. My boyfriend said that his burger was amazing, one of the best burgers he has ever had. He also enjoyed the beer. The root beer was delicious also. My crispy chicken sandwich was very tasty and nice and crispy and cooked very well, and my salad was fresh. Our boneless buffalo wing appetizer was very good. I also tried some of my boyfriend's fries and they were delicious-nice and crispy with a good flavor. While the seating is a little tight in here, the atmosphere is fun and relaxed. It is definitely similar to the Rainforest Cafe where they have the thunder and lightning storms. They also had a piano that would play by itself, which was kind of fun. My kids favorite restaurant on our trip. It's like rainforest cafe only with woods. Rain storm piano that plays, moving campfire with s'mores, moose wiz on tap I had to giggle great name for root beer. Adult food was good too I really appreciated the grapes in the kids meal. An unfortunate welcome to the Lake George region. True the weather was awful and it was the Labor Day weekend. We had just arrived and walked in the rain to this restaurant. We stood and waited a while until the bartender called that she would be with us shortly. Not. She was crazy busy pouring drinks, settling tabs, and more. Finally one of the harried waiters offered to seat us once he had cleaned the tables in the bar area. And then, after that, we were seated. Waiters flew by, and we sat and sat. Eventually we asked for service and were told our waiter was the bartender! So we got up to leave, and as we did the bartender moved towards us. With a big attitude. Yikes. If she had once explained to us that she was swamped, or sent us some water, anything, we would likely have stayed. We asked for the manager - she was the manager too. To the owner of this restaurant, your bartender/manager/waiter was trying to do it all, but forgot the customer service. We left without a meal and unhappy with our first experience in this area. read more

In Lake George for the day and looking for a place to eat. We ended up at the Moose Tooth Grill. It is a small restaurant on a main road with seating inside and out (in June). The inside was reminiscent of a poor man's Rainforest Cafe. Cute but a little distracting. Our waiter was very attentive. We did not order any drinks apart from soda so cannot attest to their alcoholic beverages. The food was average to bad. We ordered appetizers--blooming onion and mozzarella sticks. The blooming onion was good but very messy. Having had blooming onions before I was surprised that it came with a knife. As we started eating it I saw why. If you didn't cut the onion you were going to get just breading! The cheese sticks were okay. The sauce it came with was good. I had the cheeseburger quesadilla. I switched out the fries for the sweet potato fries. Usually a swap like that is a dollar or two extra. This was $3 extra. Not worth it. The quesadilla was okay--meat was a bit dry & it had too many chunks of onions. The fries were warm and the raspberry sauce was too sweet although interesting. One of my companions had the bacon cheeseburger. It had a lot of bacon on it but the burger "was hard as a hockey puck". My other companion is vegetarian and the only offering aside from a salad was a spicy bean burger. It came with a garlic aioli but even with that it was too dry. We all ended up leaving a lot of food on our plates. It was an overall disappointing experience and we would not return if we were in the area again. read more

Sadly, my visit to the Moose Tooth was highly disappointing. Upon ordering my food, I was told being they had just opened for the season they hadn't gotten their new menus yet so several of what I wanted was not offered...which I could forgive and understand. I then ordered the cedar plank salmon which sounded delicious...and when I cut into it, the entire fish was raw. Not even a little firm, or even a light pink...we're talking still deep pink, slimy and raw. This was on my first night of my trip so I of course was worried I would be spending my vacation being sick :( I politely pointed this out to my server who had another one prepared, which was cooked and seasoned quite well. However, when my fiancé and I went to pay with our two cards (money is to be watched on trips after all), we requested that the bill please be split and our waitress agreed...only to return to inform that whoever owed the blue card (me) had the whole bill charged to it because she "wasn't even paying attention". She said she voided it and it would only "show up for a few days"...so we will see. By this point, my ability to forgive had been lost. I don't recommend this location...there are so many yummy places, this one can be passed by. Keep in mind there was all of maybe 9 guests while we were there...so it was not like they were too overwhelmed to cook my fish safely. If you're looking for superb root beer and beer and food, head down to the Adirondack Pub and Brewery...it is where Moose Tooth gets their beers anyway. Good Luck! read more

My wife and I went to try out this place as we both loved it's sister restaurant, Adirondack Pub & Brewery. I had the PB Bacon Burger and Fries as I wanted to compare it to the APB version. It was a little more done than I usually prefer, but our awesome waitress Stephanie told me all their burgers come out medium and not medium-rare, so no problem at all. The bun wasn't brioche like at APB but good. Another waiter gave me a little of this jam to try with the burger, which I did try it on a little of the burger. It was a fruit jelly which he described but I failed to remember. It was an interesting contrast to the rest of the burger and not bad, but it's sweeter than I like, so I probably wouldn't order it going forward. All in all, I'd say that burger was delicious and almost as good as APB but not quite. The fries were a little less done than APB, so I liked them a smidgen more. My wife had the Swiss Mushroom burger with bacon and onion rings, and she couldn't rave about it enough. Our waitress Stephanie was awesome and took great care of us. The ambiance was quite interesting. There were lots of animal memorabilia around and sounds of animals played subtly over speakers, kind of like at the Rain Forest Café, and I liked it. The prices were very reasonable. Our bill for two burgers with sides and two Cider Project drinks was $37.00, so quite reasonable. We both definitely recommend the Moose Tooth Grill if you're in Lake George village. Enjoy! read more

I really have no words I went with four other people here for dinner.....it was horrible. Me and my friends were looking for a steak house. The only reason we choose this place was because on the door it said steak and seafood. We were disappointed to find that the closest thing to steak on the menu was steak tips. That is what my friend ordered. She had her hopes very high. When she got her steak tips after 45 minuets of waiting they were dry and drowned in bbq sauce she took one bite and wanted to send it back. I tried a bite and it was so gross that I was literally not able to swallow it. These steak tips tasted worse than liver because I I've had liver and these steak were worse than that. My other ordered a half rack of ribs. They were dry and drowned in bbq sauce. My other friend he order a burger and was very happy about his choice. The burger came he took 3 bites and that was it the meat was gray. My other friend had ordered a burger and she only ate half of it. I had ordered a Cuban sandwich without the mustard and mayo after anticipating this sandwich I find out that they cannot serve than sandwich without mustard and mayo so I rushed to find a new thing to order on the menu. I ordered tacos they were good. When our food finally came I got a Cuban sandwich and my food had to be sent back. The beer there was ok. The appetizers were bad too the mozzarella sticks were so bad that I could find better ones in the grocery store. We order the blooming onion well done and all the breaking just fell off. The wings weren't very good either. Don't go there and if you do order tacos. Walking out of there me and my friends were quezzy just thinking about the steak tips made me want to throw up. This is the sister restaurant to The Adirondack Brewery. I would advise you to walk a little further to the brewery. The food here is ok, nothing special. Although the huge glass of house brewed root beer(moose-wizz) was great. The maple fried chicken was delicious, but where is the rest of it??? For the price of the meal I expected a bit more chicken then three tiny pieces. And I don't eat a lot, so for me to complain about a portion is truly a sign of small pieces Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the beers they have on tap. read more
