I've debated writing this review. I had such awful service here, they should have just called me an idiot on the phone and get it over with. I brought my vacuum in to be serviced. On the phone, he said it would be a week to get it repaired. I actually thought I was going to (what turns out to be Best vacuum, also on Arapahoe, which is a great place. I thought maybe they just moved locations.) They were so rude when I entered the store. I just ignored it, what do I care, they were fixing my vacuum. He said 7 maybe 10 days, it would be ready. After 7 days, I called to see what the status was, because I heard nothing. He advised he told me 10 days minimum, 14 days usually. And if they had it for 10, they could order a loaner vacuum and get it on the truck. (never offered to do this, just said they could. I wondered, if it was 10 days minimum, why would they not have offered a vacuum when I was at the store? Since "10-14 days is standard waiting time" ). He said I should call back after 10 days. We repeated this dance for 3 weeks. If they said it would be at least 3 weeks in the first place, I could have made plans. It's more the "no, lady, you don't know what you're talking about" tone. Considering this was a $400 repair, a little update would have been great. The guy doing the repairs, where they ship everything to off site, was decent. But I'll never come back here. I took a photo of the sign and their website showing their time frame (not the verbal discussion). I spent many days upset about the rude and poor costumer service on my $1000 vacuum. (I went to Best Vacuum up the street to buy my bag and filters, and they said they get a lot of customers from these locations negative of poor costumer service. He knew exactly what, where and why I was upset. They were so friendly!) the same family owns several locations. And many of the reviews I read, after dropping my vacuum off, were poor. I guess, in this place, accurate. If you review other 1 start reviews, they ALL echo my experience. I was offered $50 in products for a 5 star review, so be leary of those reviews.

Small, quiet shop in a strip mall. I see a lot of very negative reviews for this dealer and can only say I had no problem with my warranty repair except for the long delay in getting the vacuum back. That however had nothing to do with these folks and everything to do with the part on backorder with Hoover.

Great service! Very helpful and knowledgeable. Also got some amazing deals. Kirby vacuum cleaner bag supplies and kirby belt in stock. Offered a free replacement belt with my order.

The original part I wanted to buy when I went to the store that they did not have in stock he ordered and had shipped directly to my residence.

I have newer - u-turn audio - turn table that wasn't producing sound out of the left speaker. Not usually the kind of thing he works on, but Dr. Dan agreed to check it out anyway. I spent about an hour with him in his shop, surrounded by pugs, chopping it up sharing stories, while he troubleshooted the issue. After a few tests, he figured out what was happening, recommended I buy a $20 preamp to fix it, then sent me on my way with a handshake and a smile. It was quite the enjoyable experience. You can tell he cares about what he does, that he takes pride in his work, and is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to vintage audio equipment. *He's also a man that enjoys a good story, so if you have one, come prepared to share.* I personally value vinyl. It's a beautiful analogue tech that produces sound using magnets and emf's translated from a needle cruising on plastic. It's crazy to me that someone had the idea for it, let alone that it actually works. Yet it remains. Not for the nostalgia or efficiency; but for the warmth of the sound, for the collectibility and sense of ownership, for the love of music. I was looking for someone who held a similar sentiment. You wouldn't want someone who hates cars to be your mechanic. I decided to call Dr. Dan after reading some reviews, in which pretty much everyone suggests he the best. To that point, all I can say is, they were all right.

Discussed over the phone, took it back, he had it for some time and at one point told me it was too much for him and he is not a reel to reel expert. Well then why wouldn't you tell me this in the beginning? lol Took it to another shop down in the springs highly regarded for reel to reel repairs. They looked at it, seen parts that were supposed to be replaced by Dan in fact were not and appeared used. Called Dan, he decided to berate me like another neg review on here, then decided to harass me by calling me every day for a few weeks to berate me. I had to block him, he still left messages. And he still kept my money despite my doing any work and then using used parts. Horrible business and lesson learned.

Well, as most of my hopes and dreams of the 1990s, that plan needed a bit of a revision. After many years of use, including the enthusiastic tweeter poking of my young sons, the speakers needed to be repaired. I found Speaker Repair & Reconing Center of Colorado on Yelp - and based on the reviews, I had high expectations. Even so, Brandon surpassed the high bar that had already been set. He tested each speaker individually, (tweeters and mid ranges..), and when he identified speakers that needed to be replaced, he ensured he procured them from the same manufacturers of the original speakers. Beyond the speakers, he even conditioned the internal electronics, Before I left the shop with my newly refreshed and rebuilt speakers, Brandon let me listen to each one, and made sure all the frequencies were crisp and clear and powerful. The price was beyond reasonable for the work that he did - I could really tell he was doing it for the love of the craft more than financial gain. If you have any speakers that need some repair or diagnostic evaluation - I recommend you have a talk with Brandon. I am confident you will be as overjoyed with the result as I am. Thank you Brandon!
