I just purchased my third Miele vacuum from Adam. His knowledge, honesty and credibility sold me the first time. Adam's analysis of my situation is clearly considered and the advice he's given is spot on for my needs. I've also had an ancient toaster (collector's piece) completely rebuilt, several Kitchen Aid was appliances repaired along with a vacuum. The repairs were wonderfully done, his advice as to maintenence is exact and carefully expressed. I am sold on his efforts on my behalf. The owner needs to do whatever is required to keep Adam. As to complaining about costs of repairs; on each piece, I was called and involved from beginning to end. I believe the dated complaints have been effective and repaired. Keep up the great work Adam! I bought a vacuum cleaner from the Denver, Colorado on S. Colorado Blvd Store and the manager would not honor the warranty nor repair my Miele vacuum which was close to thousand dollars, and it had been used maybe half a dozen times. I would really caution working with them. I used the vacuum to vacuum up baking soda, and it was all over the inside of the vacuum cleaner due to a faulty bag, so no repair or warranty replacement on their end. read more

Rip off from the minute I left my vacuum cleaner. Service fee of $200 & 3% which pays for nothing not any service. Their service dept then charges for parts and labor (hundreds of $). We took out Kitchenaid mixer in for repairs. It was $125 to look at it. Then $250 more once it was repaired. $375 total. I see I can buy a brand new one just like it at Best Buy for $300. A good repair place would say, "hey, no sense to even look at it. We are going to be getting close to $400. Please just buy a new one. That's what they should have done. DO NOT BRING ANYTHING HERE TO BE REPAIRED. Read the other reviews here and on Google. You are better off watching You-Tube videos and doing it yourself. We didn't and now wish we had. First red flag was the $130 charge for servicing and diagnosing the vacuum which was include filter replacements. Second was the weird phishy looking email that came asking us to call about further repairs needed. Third red flag was they wanted another $200 to perform a "cyclone overhaul" which we learned is not actually a thing but is part of the standard service if performed by the manufacturer. When asked what parts were needed, they said, none, it's all labor. We asked how long this takes, they stated 2-3 hours. They then tried to upsell us on a new Miele vacuum and the $130 would go towards that. Of course, they were hoping we'd let them keep the vacuum we brought in for service so they could re-sell it after we bought a new one. Lied to our faces multiple times when we went to pick it up. Told us it would not work because we didn't authorize and pay for the repairs, which included needed parts. Told us it would cost $50 to re-assemble it. Ridiculous. They eventually brought us the vacuum and no way did they actually have to re-assemble it, and lo and behold it worked just fine when we tested it in the store. I called at least 6 espresso service businesses for a repair of our 15 year old Italian espresso machine (La Spaziale Vivaldi S1) This is the only company that would even look at it. There were major issues, corroded pipes, mineral buildup, leaks, noisy pumps, etc. They had to search the globe for parts, and it took awhile to fix it, but now it works better than new. The techs here really know their stuff. As the saying goes, do you want it done cheap, fast, or right, pick one. If you have a prosumer machine that needs help these are the guys. read more

Very poor policy on buying parts. Buy the wrong thing and they won't refund , only offer store credit or exchange. And the only time you are aware of this policy is AFTER you buy something and maybe notice it in the small print of the receipt (which of course is now too late). I've debated writing this review. I had such awful service here, they should have just called me an idiot on the phone and get it over with. I brought my vacuum in to be serviced. On the phone, he said it would be a week to get it repaired. I actually thought I was going to (what turns out to be Best vacuum, also on Arapahoe, which is a great place. I thought maybe they just moved locations.) They were so rude when I entered the store. I just ignored it, what do I care, they were fixing my vacuum. He said 7 maybe 10 days, it would be ready. After 7 days, I called to see what the status was, because I heard nothing. He advised he told me 10 days minimum, 14 days usually. And if they had it for 10, they could order a loaner vacuum and get it on the truck. (never offered to do this, just said they could. I wondered, if it was 10 days minimum, why would they not have offered a vacuum when I was at the store? Since "10-14 days is standard waiting time" ). He said I should call back after 10 days. We repeated this dance for 3 weeks. If they said it would be at least 3 weeks in the first place, I could have made plans. It's more the "no, lady, you don't know what you're talking about" tone. Considering this was a $400 repair, a little update would have been great. The guy doing the repairs, where they ship everything to off site, was decent. But I'll never come back here. I took a photo of the sign and their website showing their time frame (not the verbal discussion). I spent many days upset about the rude and poor costumer service on my $1000 vacuum. (I went to Best Vacuum up the street to buy my bag and filters, and they said they get a lot of customers from these locations negative of poor costumer service. He knew exactly what, where and why I was upset. They were so friendly!) the same family owns several locations. And many of the reviews I read, after dropping my vacuum off, were poor. Brought in Jura automatic espresso machine. Paid $295 fee to have my machine refurbished. I waited 2 weeks, no response, called in, they hadn't looked at it yet. An hour later I get a call, informing me of an additional $681 in repairs. I asked what was wrong with it. They said the pump had gone bad, it would cost $421 for the part only !?!?!?! And it would be a few more weeks for them to order it and get it repaired. They refused to credit my $295 already spent towards the repair, against what their own paperwork says. I had to wait another week just to get the machine back. It hadn't been refurbished or any work done to it. I've since sourced the part, for $48, and will be doing the repair myself. I feel terribly ripped off, I didn't even get an itemized quote for the repair. Upon picking it up, I asked the employee for at least some credit back on the horrible service, he proceeded to tell me he doesn't represent the business and I'd need to talk to someone else. I took my machine and left. Manager says this process is changing, and won't be typical. He was very nice on the phone and offered several possible solutions. Adam told me that I may or may not need them for diagnostics & repair, but if I did, they would call me. 9/19 - I was called & told they did need the pieces to diagnose the machine. They spoke to my boss to get a complete idea of what was wrong with the machine. 9/20 - I dropped off additional accessories at their S Broadway location. 10/16 - After a month of no communication, I started calling Adam every week for an update with no concrete information, promising to update me with returned phone calls, which never happened, & even going as far as to say they DID call me & me calling all of the missed calls on my phone, none of which had been them. I picked up the machine & paid an additional $39. Happy that the ordeal was over. 10/17 - I came into work the following day to my boss telling me the machine was still not working correctly. I took it back. At this time I was told by Adam that the machine would be expedited in its repair and since it was under warranty, there would be no additional charge. 10/26 - I called back after not hearing anything. Adam told me that the service manager was out for the weekend, still Adam had no information for me from the service department. Adam said that the service manager would call me on Tuesday with an update, but we might have the machine back by then. 10/31 - With no call from the service manager on Tuesday, I called back again. Adam said that there was no update & he previously said the service manager MIGHT call me on Tuesday. I asked Adam to have the service manager call me for an update. He said that since it was a warranty fix, there would be no call they would just fix it, I asked to have the service manager call me for an update on when I was to expect to pick up my expedited espresso machine. Adam proceeded to tell me that there were 600 machines in the service department & having the service manager stop to call me would take time away from him fixing my machine. I asked a 3rd time to have the service manager call me. Adam said he would put in a ticket for him to call me. 11/6 - Still no call. I was again told my Adam that the service manager would call me. 11/12 - Chris the service manager left his 1st voicemail. I was out of the office so I returned his call on Monday. He was out of the office & there was no updated information in the system for me to be informed on. Employee said Chris would call me on Tuesday. 11/13 - I called Chris around 1pm. He was perfectly pleasant & ended up telling me that they couldn't find anything wrong with the machine besides normal wear and tear. I asked him to give my boss a call with an update & he did right away. My boss was told my Chris to come by to see a demo of the machine working on Saturday. 11/17 - My boss, wasn't told which location to meet Chris at & ended up at the wrong one. Arriving at the correct location, Chris was not there & the employee working gave my boss Chris' number. It was the wrong number & my boss headed over to the location that I dropped off the machine. Adam, who I had been in contact with gave no additional information to my boss & proceeded to tell him the service center was closed on weekends, so he couldn't call for an update. 11/21 - I called to see if I could pick up the machine & get a demo. The service engineer was out of town for Thanksgiving & we planned for me to come the early the following week. 11/27 - I went to the service center to meet Chris & to see a demo of the machine. Steve who showed me how to work the machine was great. He made a bunch of trial cups, tweaked some settings & I left with it working great. He made this entire experience end on a high note. All in all, the communication between the service department and the storefront where I dropped off my machine was dreadful. After a month without a machine, picking it up & it not working correctly, having to take it back for "expedited" service & over a month later having them tell us nothing was really wrong with it, & having to initiate any type of communication is ridiculous. At times, I felt like the machine was being held hostage and there was no direct way I could contact the service manager Chris to get any sort of update until November 12. What bothers me the most is that as a fellow person in customer service, Adam at the Centennial store had no regard for making sure I had confidence in them, even though I had confidence in them to pay $225 up front. For 3 months, I've wasted my time time calling & driving back & forth 5x from Watkins to their stores (1 hour round trip) by the time it was ready for pick up a 2nd time. Shady!!! Couldn't agree more with Eric. One star only because zero is not an option. I brought a vintage Underwood typewriter to these clowns for repair/restoration. Turns out the $125 they charged me was only to "diagnose" the issues; had I wanted anything done further it would've been hundreds more. They didn't even clean it (although they said they did) and worse yet, they held onto my typewriter for EIGHT WEEKS, with very little communication during that time (I had to keep following up to see where it was). My co-worker was hosed even more than I. She paid over $300 and when her typewriter eventually came back there was hardly any noticeable improvement. In today's competitive world there are PLENTY of other options for your small appliance needs-trust me...keep looking folks. I bought a crazy-expensive Silver King vacuum a few years ago, and I like the vacuum a lot. Unfortunately, the power head stopped working, and more unfortunately, Silver King has gone out of business. There's a place in Colorado Springs that would do warranty work on Silver King machines, but Centennial Vacuum is a lot closer to home for me, so I decided to give them a try. First of all, they're slow. The work took two weeks, and when it was ready to pick up they failed to tell me that. I had to call them after their promised date had passed to ask about my machine, and they said, "Oh, it's been ready for a few days." Second, they're expensive. They charged $125 to take a look at the vacuum, which they said would go toward the cost of repairs. Well, they ended up charging an extra $128 for the repairs on top of the original fee. The repairs themselves involved rewiring the head to the hose from the machine. That's not nothing, but it's pretty much all labor, and I don't see how it's over $250 worth of labor. Third, they kept trying to sell me a new machine. Right from the start when I first brought my machine in, they kept saying, "You know, if this turns out to be expensive to fix, we can put the value of your old machine toward a new machine." Every time I had contact with them, it was the same message. They want to sell you stuff. I just want my existing stuff fixed. This was a complete failure of a customer service experience. They get two stars instead of one because the repair was successful. But I'm out more money and more stress than I should be for this experience. Blech. read more

I had to leave the machine and a $300 deposit for them to diagnose the problem and order the part "from Italy". I called them several times over a 4 week period and was assured that the part was on the way and would be ready "next week". Next week I went in and found that it was not fixed and they would not return the fee but would give me a small reduction in price for one of their repaired cheap small flimsy home use machines. (This is my experience from 2016. It's possible things have changed since then. I waited to post a review until I had all the information, including the fact that my machine was never serviced.) I brought a home espresso machine in for service (leaking/old gaskets), and was quoted $125 for service and diagnostic. A month later I got a phone call telling me it only required a gasket, and would be ready for pickup soon. Six weeks later it was finally ready, but was going to be another $150. I talked to the representative and to the repairman several times, but no one could tell me why I was being charged this new amount, when they had only replaced a gasket. I was only told by Haz(?) that it was a complicated machine. I paid under protest and did eventually receive a refund of this second charge. The machine did not seem to be much different, but after three months I was just happy to have it back. Several months later when it was still leaking, I purchased a home service kit. When I opened up the machine to remove the screws from the brewhead, I found them stripped. I was able to have the screws removed by another coffee repair shop. When he opened it up for servicing, it was obvious the gaskets had never been changed. Although I now have a vacuum that needs repair, I will definitely seek out a different shop. read more

This last time I brought a Hoover vacuum for covered warranty repairs and he couldn't get Hoover to pay him so he charged me $37 For service I didn't need. Run from this company. We took in a Hoover for service under the warranty. Hoover vac was losing power or quiting on us. My husband put in new filters and used his air compressor to clear any issues to try to get it to work. Hoover gave us Centennial Vacuum's name as an approved repair shop for warranty work. We were told the average service time was 7-10 days. After 2 weeks I called and was told I'd get a call back. Called again a couple days later and got same response. On third call I was told warranty work took 6-8 weeks. After 6 weeks we received a call telling us the problem was a dirty filter and clog. They told us this was not covered under the warranty and there was a $45 charge to get the vacuum back. My husband called Hoover and told them what happened. They told us the problem we were experiencing was not caused by a clog (it was not as the machine was thoroughly cleaned before we took it in). Hoover said that parts should have been ordered as their engineers had made some changes to a design flaw in the model we had. When Hoover tried to reach Centennial Vacuum the phone was not answered and their email was full. Hoover told us that they would deal with Centennial Vacuum. Hoover said they would send us a new vacuum. Hopefully Centennial Vacuum will be removed from the approved service list. Centennial Vacuum is more interested in trying to upsell customers to a new very pricey vacuum instead of dealing with repairs. Hoover was very responsive to our issue and we're very happy to be dealing with such a good company. read more

These guys are awful and here is why: - Told me over the phone that they couldn't provide an estimate until we brought the machine in. When I dropped off they said the standard cost for an estimate is $150 For an estimate and possible repairs if it was an easy fix. - The gentleman helping insisted that if the repairs were too expensive, I could use the $150 toward my EXACT coffee machine that I could purchase through them. - after being told the repairs would cost the same price as the machine ($450) we wanted to buy a new one through them. - they said they couldn't use the $150 towards it AND the only model they could get through their supplier was $1400. I would go anywhere else before them. And not to mention it took them three weeks to tell me that. That was three weeks of Starbucks runs. I wish we bought a new one before trying to repair. Same day UPDATE: nice manager called after yelp review and offered to special order same machine for $550 and use $150 towards machine. Not an honest place, at all. I brought in my automatic espresso machine because it had not survived a move in freezing weather. They charged me $235 just to look at it. I should have been on guard when the woman at the desk immediately started talking up how expensive these machines were to repair, and immediately concluded that the problem was the pump (one of the more expensive parts). I left it with them anyway. They sat on it for two weeks before calling back and telling me that the parts would be $500 and the labor another $300, *after* crediting the $235 I'd already paid. Even after offering me a token first-time customer discount, the cost of the repair was more than the cost of a factory refurb with a warranty, and 2/3 the cost of a completely new machine. The tech I talked to on the phone blamed this on the parts supplier, which is the single source for the whole US for this brand. I cut my losses, refused, and picked up the machine. At this point the machine was out of warranty and, as far as I had been told, effectively totaled, so I had nothing to lose by opening it up myself and trying to figure it out. First thing I noticed was, there was no evidence the machine had been opened at all while it was in the shop. If you've never seen inside one of these machines, well, I'm sure the clean cycle keeps the parts that touch your coffee shiny, but the rest of the inside gets to be a horror show in ways you could not help but disturb if you were doing any work inside it. Second, I pretty immediately noticed the problems: the remnant water in the system had frozen, cracking a teflon coupling and detaching a connector from the end of a pressure hose. The tech at Centennial was honest about one thing: there's one source of parts for these machines in the entire country, and they're online. Total parts cost: $45, which felt like a lot for a little hose and coupler, but WAY less I'd been led to believe. Once I had the parts the machine was up and running in under an hour including the cleaning cycle and a generous scrubbing of the inner surfaces (ick). And that's as somebody who'd never even seen the inside of one of these things before. So even if I value my time really generously, Centennial took me for twice the actual costs to fix the machine just to not look at it, and they *wanted* to charge me ten times that. I am sorry that I did not look into this company before taking my vacuum in for maintenance. Long story short, they attempted to bait and switch me when I went in to pick up my vacuum. I had been told I was paying for a new filter (not a HEPA filter), and the charge was an additional $49.99 plus the $125 I had already paid to have the machine cleaned out. When I arrived, the computer was down, and the gentlemen at the counter could not access the account to see what was done. However, one of them was able to tell me that the new balance was $79.99 When I balked, a more senior employee assessed from looking at my vacuum that the filter they had claimed over the phone was new had only been washed out, not replaced! He acted as if he was doing me the largest favor EVER by selling me a knock off HEPA for the bargain price of $49.99. He also assured me that the machine was warrantied for a year for "parts and labor." I left with no intention to return. However, upon first use, I realized the vacuum was broken! I returned with my receipt only to be told they had not worked on that portion of the vacuum so the warranty was not valid. As if! The canister (the part that was broken) was certainly worked on! They cleaned that portion of the vacuum out to increase the suction power! And each of the three times I was in the store, there was a man who would HARD sell me on getting a new machine. He used the same lines time and again on me not realizing he had told me the same things (verbatim) before. It was very, very off putting. I left disgusted. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. And if you want to buy a Miele (VERY expensive), do yourself a favor and buy it direct online or from a different rep.
