We were worried about the wait (40 parties ahead) but only waited about 30 minutes to be seated. The service was very fast and the staff were super friendly. The waffles were delicate and fluffy. The omelette was a huge portion even though I ordered it as a burrito and the homefries are like Bratkartoffeln from the homeland. Our server looked like she stepped out of a 1960s airline commercial and was the warmest congenial person I have honestly ever met. I don't really care what the food is like. I checked and two hours ago, and I'm supposed to be first in line, and I'm still waiting for a table. No place is this good. They do not get people in, and they do not use the Yelp app to help properly seat people. Poor experience. Do not recommend at all. There's plenty of other places in the valley to go have brunch at that are amazing, and actually have proper seating facilities, and move people in and out as they should. read more

Even though we were 77th on the wait list for Sunday breakfast, it was worth the wait. About an hour. We were texted with a link to our status so we could leave and come back if we chose. Waitress Macaela (spelling is probably wrong) was adorable, friendly and efficient. Coffee is fantastic (we got it to go while we were waiting and they asked us to have waitress add it to the bill). Omelettes are perfection! Potatoes are expertly cooked and waffles are great, served with melted butter, house made preserves or maple syrup. Service is always top notch and although they are always packed on the weekends, guests are not rushed to turn the tables. read more

Came across this cute little breakfast place located in Encino. I ordered the Nutella Crepes, which comes with either bananas or strawberries, and was not disappointed. These are probably some of the best crepes I have ever tasted. Our waitress was lovely. She was hilarious and constantly made sure everything was under control at our table. I've been here numerous times with various different groups of friends. I've never had anyone not want to go there. My only problem is it closes at 2, and since we generally go there for lunch, my friends and I always seem to still be there when it's closing. The food is very good, particularly if you like breakfast food. They have pancakes and waffles with fruit, nuts, Nutella, whipped cream, and whatever else you can imagine; numbers egg dishes, scrambles, etc. The servers are all nice and friendly. The ambiance is lovely. The food arrives quickly; the waitress or waiter always makes sure we have everything we need and they get to us with refills before we have a chance to ask. It's one of the few restaurants I've been to where they have never made a mistake with my food, which is amazing considering I'm one of those people who has them hold several things and my friends then ask if what I want held can be given to them. As with everything else they always accommodate that request. read more

its fathers day and understood its busier than usual. so we were placed on a waitlist and estimate wait is no longer than an hour. was NOT warned that it could take longer than it did. followed up when its almost time and were told 5-10 minutes more. then when 10 minutes pass, told again that theres 2 more people ahead of us and to wait 20 more minutes. to now which i said is 20 minutes really 20 minutes as we have been promised time to be served multiples times and never was fulfilled and was just told to wait again. People who came after us were served before (reservations? or waitlist? i doubt) Wished they would have been more straightforward that if promised 1 hour wait, could mean 2 hours or more. That way they dont ruin a what seem to be a family breakfast turned nightmare. Hope they can better their practice of queing people for future days that is busier than usual. And do not promise people to be served at certain times when unable to fulfill. Be at least honest. Time placed on waitlist 0934. Time check: 1114am. Still not served and of course we have to walk away now before our breakfast becomes dinner! read more

I've been coming here for years and keep bringing friends & family to experience all that is More Than Waffles. Delicious food, no matter what you get, and the service is great. My personal favs are the strawberry and nutella waffles as well as eggs benedict with ham. So good! The decor reminds me a bit of home/Cape Cod. Whenever I'm in Los Angeles (Encino) I always eat at More Than Waffles. The food is great especially the potatoes, turkey sausages and crepes. The waffles are huge! I've enjoy everything I have eaten. The wait staff is very friendly and efficient. I love sitting outside on the patio. If you're looking for the best authentic Belgian waffles in Encino, look no further than More Than Waffles. Our Belgian waffles, or Gaufre, as they are also called, are known for their thickness but light and airy texture. Our waffles are made from the finest ingredients and served plain or with a variety of fresh toppings and are accompanied with homemade jam and melted butter. We offer about 19 different waffles to choose from, and of course you can create your own. We also offer a full breakfast menu with a variety of healthy and organic dishes such as breakfast burritos, crepes, pancakes, various benedicts, hash, and more. Meet the Business Owner: Ika T.

Like many of the cooks that have remained with "More Than Waffles" since its inception, Ika found herself at home there, beginning as a waitress in 1989 and eventually becoming its manager. In 1994, a gentleman entered the restaurant and stole Ika's heart and she became Mrs. Greg Taft. Ika enjoys being able to serve the public at More Than Waffles providing authentic Belgian waffles has been the driving force of the family business for years. Ika hopes to provide you such a positive experience you'll remember to return to More Than Waffles when you're in need of a mouthwatering and authentic meal.

We also ordered some of the churro pancakes and they were a real great sweet treat. They also have delicious drinks and honestly everything that we ordered was wonderful. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area and already want to come back again to try some of their lunch options.

If you go, definitely get the French dip and the tuna of sticky rice, slip that liner roll and the mini crab cakes and up to you on the chimichuri steak sandwich.
