For my birthday, before the pandemic, I would go to More Than Waffles for breakfast every year. I was waiting for a long to get the chance to go back. Today was that day and never again will I go back. I told multiple staff members it was my birthday and they didn't acknowledge it. More Than Waffles gives you a free birthday waffle when it is your birthday and I never received it. I thought they stopped doing that until I saw another patron receive the birthday waffle. When I got the check, I noticed the hot chocolate was more than what was listed on the menu. I had to pay 4.25 for it (see the picture for reference.) When I addressed this with the cashier, she was cold and dismissive. She told me I was just wrong. Instead of causing a scene, I just paid it and left. This was an awful experience. Parking here can get crazy-- though it's in a plaza, many of the spots are specifically timed. There IS underground parking that I was able to find a spot easily in, which helps. Service and food were extremely prompt. Their menu was extensive and had something for everyone. I opted for the Farmer's omelette with an upgraded waffle (I forget the name but it had fresh strawberries, fresh kiwi, blueberries, whipped cream, and walnuts!!) The omelette was SO good! Mushrooms, spinach, and goat cheese. Asked for Cholula and it was a party in my mouth. Best breakfast place I've ever been to! We came on a Thursday about an hour before close so we were seated and served immediately. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly and checked on us frequently. We got a coffee, an iced latte, the lox Benedict with house fries and bacon, Nutella waffle with strawberries and bananas, and the lemon cream crepe. Everything was exceptional! The waffle was airy and light, the fruits were fresh, the lemon cream on the crepe was perfect! We even mixed the homemade strawberry jam that was brought out and it was delicious. The blueberries weren't as tart as I'd imagine but the lemon cream did a decent job of balancing it out. The omelette was big to begin with and jam-packed with onions, colorful peppers, mushrooms and spinach, so the bacon bits made it even more hearty. The taste was generally alright. Very sad to see how they deal with their loyal customers. I've been coming here for years on a weekly basis with my fiancée. Today, we had our name down for a party of 2 on the wait list since 10AM. We waited until 12:20PM when we were number 1 on their wait list. IN FRONT OF OUR EYES, they were sitting people ahead of us for same size parties/or parties of 3. The Chicken had a unique flavor when paired with Salsa and Fruit, which turned out to taste REALLY good. The waffle though, was downright AMAZING. In spite of its size, it was neither as heavy nor as hard as I thought Waffles would be. THIS WAFFLE was FLUFFY, soft and extremely LIGHT, making it one of the best waffles I HAD. The taste is slightly cinnamon flavored but it's hard to pinpoint how the waffle tastes so good, which must mean it's some sort of secret recipe. And this is coming from a dude who isn't a fan of carby Waffles primilarly because back in University, I usually got really bad ones.
