i'm giving it 2 stars only because their pizza is always great - this time decided to order wings to go with it. big mistake - 12 pieces for $18 - and some of the smallest wings i have ever ordered! the clincher - out of the 12 pieces 1 was a wing tip - yep, literally a wing tip - and 1 piece was a single piece of bone with a shred of meat on it. called as soon as i opened the box and spoke with the shift manager - she said they would redo the order but told her i didn't want to back up there to get it right now - would be in tomorrow. called back a couple hours later and said i want to come pick the wings tonight. when i went it and spoke with the very young manager - and yes age/experience does come into play especially when you're a shift manager - i showed her the wing tip and bone i had brought with me in a zip lock bag. she simply nodded her head. offered no apology for the order or fot the inconvenience of having to come back for the new order (again very small wings) - she just kinda looked at me. when the person delivered the wings i asked to speak to the manager again - gave her the baggie with the pieces in it "in case you want to discuss it with someone" (she had a blank look on her face) and told her i really expected some kind of apology - anything, just comment! once again she said nothing and just looked at me. read more

Get your pizza anywhere but here. I showed up at 9:39 for an order that was to be ready at 9:41. Only one employee was working and none of the kitchen staff was here. I was told 15 minutes it would be ready. At 10:07 I was told it would be 10 more minutes. While waiting (off the clock) employees were in the lobby goofing around with the employees on the clock. I can see the owner using his phone in the kitchen and then handling food without washing his hands. Disgusting. In the end, I received the food at 10:22 and not a word from the owner... he was busy texting in the kitchen. Dirty restaurant on top of all this. read more

It's really easy to mess up gluten-free pizza. If you don't cook it long enough, it's a flimsy limp sock and all your topping slide right off. At this Mountain Mike's on this Sunday night, they cooked our GF pie perfectly. With that thinner crust, you need a cracker status and Mountain Mike's delivered. Lots of fresh toppings and tasty sauce. The salad bar was clean and fresh and they let me pile as high a salad as I could possibly carry. The boneless wings were tasty. You know, I was preeeeettty stoked on this Grand Opening and it was a bit of a disappointment all around. The food was pretty decent. The toppings were fine, got the Luau chicken pizza and half pep/ half cheese. One large, one medium. Wondered why it was $53 (before tip and with a $5 coupon applied) and it was because the girl, who was pretty over the event already, charged us for 2 larges. Eh, whatever, that's fine, more for leftovers I say. The crust was almost undercooked on top and over cooked on the bottom, I know, weird right? Usually, I'm down for an undercooked crust but it was too crispy on the bottom. We ordered a pitcher of Modelo, after the "bartender" made eye contact with me and then I literally yelled "excuse me, hello" a couple times. He apologized so we cool. When we Got it, I made a comment on how it looks hazy and usually you can see right through a Modelo. I even watched the guy pull the Modelo beer tap. And what was it? A hazy IPA. SO, turns out, tap was on the wrong beer and they didn't care to make it right by attaching the correct keg so we ended up just settling with 805. But then, They catered in Indian food for the family and employees, in the middle of the restaurant. I asked if I could possibly get a plate and they laughed at me and ignored the question. Even though I actually wanted a plate, even after eating the semi decent pizza. Weird vibes, not much deliciousness to back it up. It was an interesting experience but I think I'll just stick to my local pizza joints instead! read more

Disappointing that they never had brought out a Combo Everest Pizzas for their lunch buffet. They had fresh pepperoni, Hawaiian and what looked like their chicken club but I was hoping for a wider variety. Parking space is limited. Watch out for the bad drivers. Inside was on the smaller side but they did manage to clean tables as soon as someone left. Salad options for the buffet is good and they didn't have issues with their soda fountain. 27 January, Friday afternoon, was my first visit to any Mountain Mike's Pizza location. It took me several minutes to decide on a Large Snowy Alps pizza. After placing & paying for my order, I enjoyed the large screen TV's with sports being shown. I have no idea how long it took for my order to be fixed because I was so engrossed in the sports on TV. When I heard my name called, I took a peek at the pizza & happily departed. I do wish I'd been told I had a choice of crust. I would have preferred the "thin" crust to the thick crust which was used when making my pizza. I shared 1/2 my pizza with a neighbor who also thought the pizza was truly tasty. Well, i decided to revist this place as they have opened up a location near my house. The last time I wrote a review it was about the location near Mira Loma, which they mysteriously deleted. I didnt write anything mean or dishonest but I did upload a picture of a slice of the mini pizza, right next to a packet of the red chili peppers, and the packet was larger than the slice! No kidding! Anyways, I ordered the combination pizza (the Everest?) with light sauce, extra cheese, add olives as well. Ordered a side of mozzarella sticks and a cookie dough pie. For the amount of money you pay, its all underwhelming. The mozzarella sticks were not warm when I picked up my order, which sucks. The cookie dough pie was ok, it was actually warm and gooey, but I dont think I will order it again. The pizza was very tasty, but a medium pizza over $34 alone? Naw, you can stay on mount Mike. Im not impressed. Try JJ's or Pub N Sub if you want a decently priced and delicious pizza. read more

We had a client meeting and my colleague ordered a few pizzas to feed the employees. As soon as I opened the box I knew this was going to be epic! We ordered a few different kinds of pizzas and I tried all of them. My favorite is the one with bell peppers , sausage , pepperoni, mushrooms and a couple of other toppings. I placed an order for 3 large pizzas, I got home and everyone was ready to dig in until we notice the cheese was barely melted and the meats and vegetables barely were hot. I walked into MMP with a full on attitude. I had been binging on meth and adderall for a straight week and was looking for a fight. I demanded, DEMANDED a slice of pepper jack pepperoni pizza and I wasn't going to take no for an answer. Seething, spit dripping from my lips, I shouted for service. I needed a slice in a minute or I was going HAM. Jonas looked me square in the face and said "I accept your challenge. A slice in one minute or I will quit this job and work at the quarry." I nodded, knowing what that meant to him. His papa worked at the quarry his whole life, and died there after a landslide. The slice came out after I spent a minute fake punching customers to see if they would flinch. I hadn't eaten in a week, and it tasted like Aunt Jemima soaked a slice in her sweet juices for a month before popping it into the oven. Hubby and I were heading to an event that started at 8. Not knowing if food would be served as well, we popped in here for a quick bite to eat. Reading previous reviews it sounded like horrible timing and mediocrity when it came to the service and food. COULDN'T BE FARTHER FROM THE TRUTH!!! The salad bar was by far the cleanest and had the freshest options I have seen, I mean it's no Sizzlers circa 1986 but super fresh, clean and delicious. We got the Honey Garlic Wings. I am a weirdo and I am not a fan of boneless, but we went with boneless any ways since my expectations weren't that high going in. These were the meatiest boneless wings we have had. Most boneless wings come out like popcorn chicken. Dry, all breading and barely any sauce coverage. These AGAIN, FANTASTIC!!! The last thing we got was The Everest Pizza. Again, alot of comments said mediocre toppings, more dough than addons.....NOPE!!! AGAIN THEY SHUT THAT DOWN!!! A ton of FRESH and DELICIOUS TOPPINGS, dough cooked just right!! The cashier and the kid in the line cooks window were both super friendly. He did a quote from one of our favorite movies, I immediately jumped up and asked if he had seen it and he said no my dad does the impersonation. So I played them the preview for said movie and he agreed to watch it hahahah. Our first time going to Mountain Mike's Pizza and I do not recommend this place to anyone. Parking can be busy but it is not that bad, you may just have to walk a little. The appearance of the pizza place is clean. However, customer service was subpar, the cashier did not want to be there. We ordered a large pizza, a kids pizza, some garlic knots, and wings. They forgot about the kids pizza so my toddler had to wait much longer for her food. If you have kids you understand that is not the best order for things. Kids food first. The adults finished eating by the time my toddler got her food. The pizza tastes no different than a frozen pizza you bring home from the grocery store. I tried Pizza Buffet today, $11.99 plus tax, just water today, it was okay, I definitely need to get it when it's fresh, I took a few photos, also they have a Tuesday special, any large is 25% off! The TV was very loud, I asked them to turn down and they did. The one thing is they might want work on warmth, it feel cold and sterile, uncomfortable energy, not want you expect for a new business and or a well established chain, that's easily corrected, if you like pizza buffet and I eat them often, it's a must try, I'd recommend 11am, so everything is fresh, which is my favorite pizza, I've never been a fan of delivery, never tasted as good as right out of the oven, lastly you'll see Mountain Mike's specializes in toppings, which I'm a a Huge Fan! read more

As far as mountain Mike is concerned this is the best one I've been to. I don't seem to like their food it's not only over price but it's just feels like overall low quality ingredients. It's nice that they have a few pinball machines to help pass the time and the restaurant at least this location generally looks clean giving it a decent atmosphere. The service was fine, I came in to grab a pizza and maybe hang out for a few minutes The server I could she wasn't probably having the best day but at least they were trying to hide it so I give them credit for that. Reno location: Mountain Mike's made a 20" pizza WITH the extra items ordered, AND manages to efficiently delivered it to the National Bowling Stadium ON the night of The Zombie Crawl and Haunted House. It was crazy downtown, the Stadium snack bar sold out of nearly everything- so Mountain Mike's rescued us. Kudo's!
