I ordered beef noodles with wonton and cow stomach. The soup was good, the flat rice noodles is not the wide noodle like in Hong Kong, and the wonton has no shrimp in it. The place is small but it was not busy at five in the afternoon. The restaurant close early at 7:30pm. I like their spicy red pepper oil sauce, it tastes good with the wonton dip into it or the cow stomach into it. Their BBQ rice noodle is a small appetizer, you may need to order more to satisfy your hunger, but the taste with soy sauce together was good. The order came out quickly and good service. Everything about this place is not only authentic but so delicious. The rice noodle made fresh with bbq pork & the best orange chicken that will make you never want it from anywhere else ever again are equally my favorite dishes. I found this little gem when I switched pharmacies after my move. I drove by for a month and was really interested. My new little city has tons of Asian restaurants that are so authentic. Came here on a weekday for lunch with my friend, we wanted to try the congee since not too many places in Arcadia have many congee selections. The restaurant is smaller than it seems on Yelp but very clean. The service is very good and attentive. Most of the customers order pickup to-go, so even though small, the restaurant is not crowded at all when we were there. Abalone and Chicken porridge - the congee thickness was good, not too watery and the size is big. However, the abalone and chicken tasted blend. I don't think I'll order the porridge again. Plain rice noodle roll - the size is pretty small, it is a good appetizer size, but not for filling up an empty stomach. Popcorn chicken - there wasn't much meat, but mostly flour. Prices were pretty good but no breakfast specials like DFC, everything a la carte which adds up but you know, gotta help small businesses sometime. I ordered my go to congee, pork and preserved egg with a Chinese donut and HK milk tea. My FIL got the pork liver (eww). We also got a BBQ pork rice roll that looked like it had been flipped inside out, different but still tasty. Both congees had good consistency and a generous amount of pork/preserved egg/liver, however I found it a little blander than DFC. Seniors will probably appreciate the lower sodium. The HK milk tea was ok, not worth the price even with free refills. I'd need like 5 cups to justify it lol. The place is small (maybe 10 tables) so the ambience is nice and there's the sound of waterfall. I order the pork liver porridge ($7.95), one Chinese donut ($2.95), the bbq pork rice noodle roll ($4.25) and one beef rice noodle roll ($3.95). FYI, there is a surcharge of $0.50 if you pay with card if your total is less than $15. The menu comes in Chinese and English and the worker does work with you if you speak majority English so that's a plus. The restaurant is located in a small plaza with a good amount of parking. The restaurant is very small but had a lot of character and was very clean. There was about 8 tables max. It felt very zen though, there was this water rock fountain running in the background. As for the food, the pork liver porridge was in flavor. it was boiling hot as expected. However, they put their porridges in a plastic container. Although it's microwaveable, it made holding it slightly harder. There was a lot of pork liver in the porridge but it was very watery. I like my congee to be on the thicker side. The Chinese donut was a slight hit or miss. Half of it was not crispy but the other half was. At least it wasn't very oily. But it also didn't seem like it was fresh because it wasn't hot. The two rice noodle rolls were smooth. The only disappointing factor was the lack of meat that was on the noodle rolls. I felt like it was more so the noodle roll and just a sprinkle of meat on top. To be honest then, what's the difference if I just ordered the plain noodle roll and got some meat as a side order instead. You can tell it's freshly made and not like the ones you typically get at dim sum. However, it just doesn't cut it with the lack of meat. Came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. My friend and I wanted to try these rice noodle "rolls" that we see online so much. Small little restaurant with a rillakuma? theme, there wasn't much seating space. Different from the usual "cherng fun" (rice noodle roll) at Dim Sum, these are much less "rolled" as like.. "scraped" into a bundle. Lol Food came out pretty fast. We had ordered the "BBQ Pork" and the "Beef Stew". Weirdly the BBQ Pork was cut into very tiny "shards". Unsure if that was to make it easier to heat up or disperse more evenly or another reason. You kind of keep the BBQ Pork flavor but lose on the meat texture. I have been to Mr. Champion a couple of times but usually it's just to pick up to go. For rice roll, this is the place to go to. This place is definitely one of the better tasting rice rolls around the area. I find it to be true Cantonese as well even though I've only had their rice rolls. Usually come here to get their shrimp rice roll, cha siu rice roll, preserved egg and pork porridge, milk/coffee iced tea and lemon iced tea. The rice rolls are plenty here but I always order two of everything here since we always end up finishing it all. Shrimp rice roll had plenty of shrimp. Cha siu rice roll had plenty of pieces of cha siu. Preserved egg and pork porridge was filled with preserved eggs which you wouldn't find anywhere else as they don't have that many pieces. The milk/coffee iced tea taste so good and definitely one of the best I've had here. Definitely need to come here more often but actually eat here. The bbq pork rice noodles and the shrimp noodle were good, especially for the price but there was like 4 pieces of shrimp and not much pork either. The beef stew with wontons was really bland. The beef was good as were the wontons but the noodles were a very odd texture to the point that we didnt want to eat them and the broth was very bland. I hate to give this place only 3 stars, but I've definitely had better. Side note this was an take-out order during Covid time. I had no problem placing my order over the phone and it was ready 15-20 minutes later. The owner was who took my order was friendly, they took credit card payments and I brought my own pen to sign. My order consisted of Popcorn chicken rice where the small chicken pieces were mostly batter, BBQ Pork rice rolls with eggs, shrimp rice rolls, and pork ribs congee with dried vegetables. The congee to my surprise was tasteless and I had to add salt myself at home. This is kinda crazy because usually the Chinese dried bok-choy veggies are dehydrated with salt! The rice rolls were nothing to write home about, it was too doughy and not enough eggs. I am disappointed because I've been reading all the good reviews on here. Perhaps it's a different experience for dine-in. In the meantime, I will stick to my favorite spot E&J Yummy in MPK. On a side note: I love all the Rilakkuma decor here, hence the 3 stars. read more

Mr Champion is a champion for sure when it comes to making a very stylish Cantonese dish called cheung fun or maybe better to just say it's like a rice roll filled with different toppings outside. It's a must to try this place for that dish. It was in an article before and I have heard from other friends that it is legit. So of course I wanted to head down to the 626 area and try this place out. I came for dinner time well early dinner and actually there were people in this small restaurant. I would say it feels almost like a cafe style place in Asia. Small but filled with a homey vibe. I ordered the shrimp one and had two orders of them for myself. It was the right texture and overall the sauce on top is great and fitting. They do have other things on the menu but overall I just wanted to eat just that. This is a mom and pop run Cantonese restaurant. My Mother and I were greeted upon arrival. It definitely has a cute boba shop kind of vibe with the colorful walls and artwork displayed. This place was pretty yummy! I didn't know there was a place that sold rice rolls, so it was a great surprise-find (thank you Yelp!). I killed the rice rolls in about 2 minutes, which made me feel like it was a bit pricey for my short lived experience, but it was delicious! The rice rolls are a bit more "spread out" and thinner than your usual dim sum rice roll, which also makes it easier to shove into your mouth. It also makes it a better holder for any sauces that you put over it, which is great! I think there might be a wee bit too much oil on it though, but I tend to be a bit sensitive to grease.
