But today for dine in , was just terrible.. took awhile to get seated and never came to take our order or give us water. i just left after 20 minutes of waiting. Mind you, it wasn't even busy.. two parties left. And there was a total of 3 parties (including mine) there. Therefore, No thanks. Moving on. Several coworkers have raved about this place and was excited to finally try it. I ordered for pickup and it was a 30min wait due to how busy they were (which for me is a good sign) also it was a Friday night. One of my friends has never had authentic Chinese food and was super sketch to try it. (Picky eater) I promised him we would order pizza if he didn't like it. BUT... he LOVED it. Awesome food! So the pork wontons are the first things that I had when I got here. A nice big bowl of pork wontons covered in spiciness and peanuts. I don't get to count how many there were but I know I wasn't going to share. I also had the chicken and mushroom dumplings which I drenched with vinegar. I wish it had more of a mushroom flavor thought but tasty nonetheless. We then had the scallion pancakes which are a great option for vegetarians to have. I loved putting their house chili oil on top of it and gave some heat to that crispy pancake. Another great vegetarian option is the Healthy Veggie Delight. It had wood ear mushrooms, lotus root, Chinese yams mixed with peas and bell peppers in a white sauce. Rounding off the vegetarian dishes was the Tofu Skin Stir Fry which I've never gotten to experience before. It was like have a low carb pasta that was nice and chewy at the same time. The texture was a nice change of pace to the regular tofu that you can get anywhere. Finally, I had the Dan Dan Noodle with ground pork and peanuts. Overall I was surprised by this spot. I've passed by many times and thought it was a small fast food type chain restaurant. Nope! It's actually quite large inside with plenty of booth seating, as well as bar-top seating where you can watch the kitchen action happen, with some really good recipes. First highlight is the fried rice; being disappointed by fried rice lately - too greasy, to dry, no flavor or too salty ... this fried rice was perfection. Flavorful, fluffy but also with bits of crispy rice, good veggie ratio, not greasy at all. So yummy! Not to be outdone, the Hot n Spicy noodle soup was a rich broth bowl of soothing. With the sour pinched pickle, the crunch of peanuts and fresh green onion mixed into a thick spicy broth with minced pork and finished with a little cilantro, the bowl just gets better and better as you take the next bite and the ingredients all start mixing in. Mouthwatering. One tip, ask for a knife to assist you in cutting up the bok choy, as ,managing that whole piece is a little precarious with chopstix. Runner up, egg drop soup.. like fried rice, seems to be that most chain-type Chinese restaurants have bland complacent vats of egg drop soup. This one is way above par. Minus a star overall for their tea. It was terrible. We were searching for an oolong tea, this one came to the table and tasted like drinking flower petals. The chicken skewers were also very rubbery (probably a thigh, but instead of staying moist they got chewy). Would try other skewers and skip the chicken. I started studying at my friend's place, and this restaurant was super close! When we first walked in, we were greeted and seated right away. The staffs were all wearing mask. The kitchen is behind a glass where you can see how they prepare your food. I don't usually go to a Chinese restaurant because it is not my favorite type of food. However, they have dan dan noodle, and I love dan dan noodle. I must try it! We ordered dan dan noodle, a fried rice, beef roll, and some intestines skewers. I've been looking for a restaurant that serves a delicious dan dan noodle in Vegas because my favorite place is is LA (too far ): ) . And I finally found one! T T I love how flavorful it is and the texture of the noodle was just on point! Beef roll was also really delicious. The intestine skewers were super crispy and the taste of the spice was super tasty. The only complaint I would have is the fried rice. It did not have enough flavor in my opinion. I'm not big on to go food bc its usually wrong or cold by the time you get home. I ordered some of this Chinese food to see how it was. Just moved to the area so I yelp'd it and just guessed on which restaurant to go to. We got pork fried rice, chicken chow mein w/"white meat only" & pork potstickers. The potstickers had a unique taste but it was a good flavor. The fried rice was decent but the chicken chow mein did not have much actual chicken which was disappointing. Mostly noodles with only a handful of small pieces of chicken. I would like it a lot more if there was more chicken. Otherwise I would probably try it again. read more

Came here for the first time for dinner. I've heard of this place but stayed away because I always thought anything with "Mr" or "chopstix" in the name was either fast food or just very basic Chinese food. I was wrong, this restaurant had a pretty legit Szechwan (or Taiwanese) menu (or at least what I considered to be legit Szechwan food but really, what do I know?) anyway, my party of 3 proceeded to order with hot and sour soup, spicy pork wontons, pork and onion pan fried bao with beef and onion, the beef roll, green bean spareribs chow mein, mapo tofu, lamb cumin. Keep in mind everything is family style so everything from the soup to entrees is a pretty big serving. On a scale from 1-5 Hot and sour soup: I prefer more of a sour soup, I give this 3.5 star it also wasn't too spicy, it was good but probably won't order again Spicy pork wontons: rating 3, not spicy to me, wont order this one again Pork and onion pan fried bao: 5! One of my favorite things on the menu, will order this again! Beef roll: 5! One of my favorite things ordered, will order again! Green bean sparerib chow mein: 5! This was different but good! The only complaint I have about this place is the inconsistent service, but other than that, Mr. Chopstix is the best spot in Vegas for Northern Chinese cuisine. They serve, IMO, the best beef noodle soup in town, and my buddy and fellow yelper John O. (Nkwachukwu) can attest to that. The broth is packed with flavor and spice, and the noodles are hand-made and have the perfect texture. The dumplings here are also on point, whether you get them steamed or pan-fried. I usually get the pork and chives. The lamb skewers are also really tasty (priced at $2 per skewer), but I gotta say that Chengdu does it best with their toothpick lamb. The fried rice is a little bit on the wetter side but also really good. In fact, I'm craving Mr. ChopStix as I'm writing this right now...f*ck me. I also want to mention that I brought my dad here a couple of weeks ago, and then he went back three more times in the same week haha. read more
