We had a great experience working with Yana at My Baking Creations! Yana was responsive, creative and an amazing cake artist/baker. From start to end of the process, Yana was communicative and helpful to bring our design idea into fruition. Delivery was seamless and on-time as well. The cake had beautiful fondant work and the chocolate cake tasted divine and decadent. Looking forward to going to Yana again for future birthday cakes!

It was such a pleasant experience with the owner Yana. It only took a few emails back and forth for her to generate a couple drawings of what I had in mind for my cake. She was SO detail-oriented and super engaged with her communication. Not only was the top of the cake spot on to what I wanted, but the inside strawberry cream cake and filling was to die for! I'm definitely going to be a repeat customer of hers for years to come!

Yana is absolutely amazing at her baking creations! My one year old received the most beautiful cookie arrangement for his birthday; it was well thought out and absolutely perfect for my fall baby THANK YOU!

Um, wow. This cake was unbelievable. The chocolate cake itself was delicious and the design was really something to behold. My son wanted a Mario Cake with Bowser on it and oh boy did he get that! The Bowser even had reptile skin! So much detail. It really was just amazing. And it tasted delicious!

My Baking Creations recently made customized cookies as party favors for a joint birthday party/family reunion that my sister and I organized. I wanted our family's name printed on the cookies, but in the style of The Sopranos logo, making it recognizable but not an exact copy. I wasn't sure if I communicated it well in my initial message, but George promptly responded and knew exactly what I meant. I mentioned to George that we would have a lot of balloons at the party. He took that detail and created our own family name logo that was hand-piped beautifully onto every cookie. Throughout the entire ordering experience, both George and Yana were prompt with their responses and really made me feel like this wasn't a business-client relationship - it felt more like we were a team. They understood how important this event was to us and how I wanted every detail in my mind to come to fruition. As someone who has planned her fair share of events, it is such a relief to work with a vendor who understands and can execute your vision. I truly feel like a valued customer, as Yana and George made every effort to ensure that this whole process was at my convenience and to my satisfaction. Even though our cookies were a simple design, our entire family was impressed at the precision and uniformity of their work. Simply put, Yana and George are awesome.

First, the owner and Chef Yana.... Yana, is great! Communication was on point, very attentive to my needs and requests. She went above and beyond to make sure the design was what I requested. Even picked up decorative items directly from me to add to the cake. Thank you sooo much! Secondly, the cake and cookies.... The cookies were perefectly designed to my request and tasty. She does say that she prefers to not use sooo much sweetness which I think is perfect for the kids. The cake, loved it!! .... The cake again was perfectly designed and handcrafted. You can tell much effort and care was put into the cake and cookies. Again not too sweet which is what I asked for. It tasted great and looked sooo pretty!!! All items were such a hit! Thank you very much Yana! Highly recommend. Prices are very fair as well.

I had such a great experience working with Yana on my son's birthday cake. From the start, I was impressed with her prompt replies and the sketches that she iterated upon in order to come to an understanding on what I was looking for. I loved that she did that because I have not had many experiences with bakers who bother to sketch a draft for me in advance. The cake was super well-received at my son's dinosaur theme party and came out exactly how I imagined it to be. The details of the painting on the trees and dinosaurs were amazing as you can see the color gradients and the effort that went into it. The fondant was addictive, so was the Black Forest filling (no alcohol as it was a kids party). It was so easy working with Yana. She really made it a point to understand my vision for the cake and ultimately delivered. I would definitely want to work with her again for future parties.

Best custom cake ever!! From ordering, to designing, and execution, Yana was absolutely delightful and made everything so easy. She offered multiple options for design and flavors, was super communicative and easy going, and exceeded my expectations by a mile. Yana made my daughter's first birthday all the more special and I am so grateful. Not only did the cake look absolutely fantastic, it was also delicious! Not too sweet yet so light and flavorful. What an amazing centerpiece!

I was so impressed by all the details!

I was struggling to find a place that makes custom cakes during quarantine when I stumbled across this page on Yelp. I could not be happier that I found Yana! I ordered a Nike shoe cake for my boyfriend and the cake I got was WAYYY above my expectations! It looked SO realistic you could mistake it for a real shoe! I chose the Vanilla Strawberry Cream flavor and it was so moist and delicious and not overly sweet. The icing and fondant was also spongy and surprisingly yummy! Yana worked with me on my budget and was very responsive to all my emails and texts. I sent her photos of the shoe and she executed it so well with impeccable attention to detail. I was worried how pricey it was but it's worth every single penny! The texture looked like leather and she even put all the stitching in. 100% recommend her and would order again! If you're looking to order a cake, look no further! Thank you Yana for making my boyfriend's special day perfect

I usually don't like to write a reviews, but I had a need to speak up about My Baking Creations. I had placed an order with Yana in the past couple of times and it is worth it! Yana was so patient and professional with all of my inquiries and suggestions. She did several sketches of the design to make sure that all my inquiries are included to it. My favorite cake is the chocolate mousse cake. Yummy !!! The flavor of the cake was so rich and light at the same time. Not too sweet, I do not like too much sugar in my deserts, but I do love them, so as my family too. I definitely order more in the future and encourage you to do the same. You won't regret it.

Our 2-year old who fell in love with auto-rickshaws on our trip to Mumbai. We have auto-rickshaw toys, he watches videos of them and even asks us why can't he find them in the bay area lol :) So for his 2-year birthday, we decide to make a 3D auto-rickshaw cake. After struggling to find a place that will make such a cake we reached out to Yana and we couldn't be happier. We chose the black forest cake with fondant for the decorations. We are not fond of cakes that are too sweet. The cake was huge (served 10 people easily), was fully edible (except the bottom board), soft, delicious, and made to perfection. Our son was yelling "auto-rickshaw" seeing the cake and walking in circles around it saying "Wow..". Yana is amazing and talented. I would come back any day for my future orders and would highly recommend her.

My Baking Creations did a wonderful job on a custom cake. Yana was responsive, flexible and talented. The cake came out amazing. Looking forward to using their services again!

I wanted to get a custom cake for my brothers graduation and Yanna did not disappoint! She answered my email promptly and was able to sketch a photo in about a day to bring my idea to life! The cake came out great and was very delicious. And on top of that everything was edible! I would definitely recommend Yanna to anyone!

I came by on a Friday around 11 am and it was so hard to find parking. There's street parking available but it was all filled up and I ended up getting dropped off since I saw the line forming outside the bakery. The line was only formed because the bakery is relatively small and doesn't have a lot of wiggle room so they only let in one party at a time. There aren't any sit-down tables or chairs so this is a grab and enjoy somewhere else. Pastry: Kouign-amann (8.4/10): Oh this was yummy. I love a good kouign amann and Arsicault satisfied my sweet tooth. It was a little too sweet but had a good outer layer crunch and fluffy interior. Chocolate Almond Croissant (7.8/10): This one was amazing! I will say that this one is definitely on the sweeter side but it was still delicious. It's a pretty big croissant with a good crunch but not a lot of flaking :( I did really enjoy the almond paste that was smothered on the inside. My boyfriend really enjoyed this croissant and wouldn't stop talking about it for a few hours.

This most recent time I arrived just before opening and waited about an hour and a half for my delicious strawberry roll. If I had got there earlier, I think the line would've been only about 20 to 30 minutes so if you are an early bird they allow you to line up anytime after around 7:45 AM. I listened to a new album and great podcast while I was in line, it can be a great solo activity and makes the wait go by fast! I also enjoy talking to the people around me about whether or not they've been here yet and hearing what their favorite items are or what they're excited to try. This time I met someone who had brought their family member all the way from Mexico to try! I think a lot of the people who are frustrated don't understand that there will be a wait. The owner has explained on her Instagram that the reason they cannot simply bake more is because they are not baking pastries that are designed for bulk creation. They are all handmade small batch goods that simply cannot be made in large quantities. I think when you go into it understanding that it's going to be an experience that more often than not comes with a wait time it is much more enjoyable. I did see some teenagers show up with their parents who immediately seemed like they did not want to get in the line. The thing about lines though is that typically if there is a consistent line somewhere that means it's good! I really admire the parents that did wait with their kids because it is worth it! We all need a little bit of whimsy in our life and these goods and the wonderfully magical people who work there make my day a little brighter each time I go in. The shop itself is decorated so well, you can tell that the cookbooks and tools are not just props on the shelf. They are actually used. There are also a couple glittery surprises that I will leave for you to find out... I cannot recommend this little bakery enough. If you are in San Francisco, even just for a day, add it to the top of your list and start your day with a treat you won't be able to find anywhere else.

The namesake Pistachio Cardamom croissant was excellent for a filled croissant. It had excellent layers and the cream was just enough to add a lusciousness to each bite that wasn't too heavy. The madame lorraine was my other favorite. It was meaty and rich with the soft baked runny yolk and the light touch of rosemary was just enough to accentuate the bite. The not as good...a standard butter croissant. Maybe we got a dud but there was a serious lack of layers in ours and it wasn't as crisp or as buttery as I like. The elote corn croquiche filling was also quite salty which was a shame because the pastry layer was pretty good. I still have two more pastries to try but given the weight and the mixed bag, I definitely expected a lot more from Butter & Crumble. Pro tip: get a butter croissant at Arsicault, walk to B Patisserie and get a kouign amann. You'll have both before the line moves here.

I've been here a few times and this time I remembered to take photos of the pastries before digging in! We tried the ube twice-baked croissant, ham and cheese croissant, curry potato bourek, and the spicy chicken pepper sausage croissant. Every pastry was perfectly flaky on the outside while staying soft and buttery on the inside. My favorites were the spicy chicken pepper sausage croissant and the ube twice-baked croissant. The savory pastries were packed with flavor, and the ube croissant struck the perfect balance of sweetness without being overpowering. I also love that they offer unique pastries you don't find at most bakeries. The café itself is small and cozy, and the staff were warm and friendly. It's usually packed, but we arrived at the perfect time and were able to grab everything we wanted before they sold out. We'll definitely be back to try more of their delicious pastries!

I heard kind of a grunt, kind of like, you know how Asian people will grunt sometimes instead of speaking (my Japanese grandmother and mother do this, so I picked up on it...)... so when I heard the grunt, I said, "Oh, are you ready to take our order?" And she looked at us and nodded as if we were an inconvenience to her. Aaaahhhh yes.... this is the "Gen Z stare". No common decency of doing business with humans, just her staring at a screen and expecting us to telepathically know she was ready to take our order. Thankfully I have Asian heritage, because my friend would have probably died waiting there for the gal to say something or make eye contact. So we order 5 pastries, a bag of vanilla butter mochi, and 2 drinks which came out to nearly $60, which is fine... but then upon payment to ask for a 20% tip? Um... excuse me? Grunts and stares does not a good tip make, my dears. We left $4 to cover the 2 drinks being made and for the "service". If she had offered us common decency, we would have tipped more. I'm not asking for a fake smile - just to be acknowledged as a customer who is patronizing a business. My friend got the honeycomb toffee latte. While other people got sizeable chunks of honeycomb atop their drink, he got literal dust. He asked if that was the honeycomb, and they confirmed. Wow - they really did hate us! Is it because we only tipped $4? We may never know. The einspander coffee was good. The pastries were overall, good but more like "okay". The hojicha puff filling was runny and literally dumped out of the hole it was piped in to. We sat at a table outside of the shop, so it's not like we traveled with the pastry and it got hot or something. The orange chocolate bun was very good. I am not familiar with Korean, so please forgive me... but the croissant square with mochi and kinako could have been good, but the kinako cemented to the roof of my mouth when I would take a bite. Then when I folded it so the cementing wouldn't happen, the flavor was just lost. I thought the chewy mochi with the crunchy pastry would be great, but it wasn't. I absolutely adore kinako, but it just didn't work. I'll stick to regular omochi with kinako. We got the two Korean beef pastries - the croissant version and the bun version. The bun was great even though the filling was skimpy. The croissant pastry was okay, but the bun was better. Would I come back? Probably not, to be honest.
