Mango sticky rice is one of my favorite desserts so I was soo soo excited to try this place! The mango and the white sticky rice is amazzzinggggg. The mango is the nice orange kind that is sweet and not stringy. The rice is perfectly cooked! The rices are on the sweeter side. Interestingly, I thought since the rice was so sweet I shouldn't add the sauce. BUT I later found out the sauce is actually salty, so when I poured it onto the sweet rice, it was actually perfect! The purple rice is more of an acquired taste. I do love me a good purple rice, but I think this one was a bit hard for my liking. The purple yam is okay - it wasn't very sweet or flavorful but it was just fine. The Thai tea is good, too. Not too sweet but has that lovely Thai tea after taste. I love this place! I've been here twice and both times left extremely satisfied. The two ladies have a clear screen between them and the customers. The portions are huge and they are very generous with their serving of mango. They have both white sticky rice ($6) and purple sticky rice ($7). You can add purple can for a few dollars more. The rice is always perfectly cooked and the mangos are so naturally sweet. They also sell Thai iced tea and had a deal this past weekend where you got a free Thai tea with the purchase of 2 sticky rices. They accept venmo (and I believe they prefer venmo). Very easy no contact payment. Highly recommend if anyone is a fan of sticky rice. They are located on the corner of Sepulveda and palms under a red tent. The mango was delicious but I wish they provided more (or I'd also be willing to pay extra!). I had about 2/3's of rice remaining and no mango to eat it with. The yam was good and had a hint of sweetness in it. If I didn't find this place online and didn't have a chance to review the menu and prices, I'd be so confused. My Mango Sticky Rice pops up rarely at Palms/Sepulveda, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, but it's absolutely worth the trek. This little family-owned /stand (two sisters!) doles out only Mango Sticky Rice as you can guess, but boy does it dole it out gooood. Don't worry about cash either, they take Venmo if you don't have any! There's one of three choices when you get there, can opt to get their normal mango sticky rice, a berry rice one or half and half. When I went, we got the half and half, curious about the berry rice, and funnily enough, I'd recommend the berry rice over the normal one after trying both! It just has a nice inherent sweetness that adds to the coconut milk drizzle. On top of it all, the mangos feel fresh and everything just pops nicely together. Doesn't hurt that the two sisters running it are incredibly nice and helpful as well! SOO good! Heard about this place through reddit and I knew I had to come because it's hard to find good mango sticky rice for an affordable price anywhere in LA. I came here around 12PM on a Saturday and they were out of a lot of things already but this was some really good mango sticky rice! I got the white rice version and wow the rice was covered in coconut milk and was so sweet and creamy. The mango was also freshly cut in front of me and because it's not mango season yet, the mangoes aren't as sweet and juicy. But it was still very good! For the price ($6), you get A LOT of rice and mango so this was definitely worth it. The ladies ran out of ice and half and half for Thai tea by the time I got there, so I opted for their almond milk version which I thought I wouldn't like as much since I usually like creamier drinks. However to my surprise, it tastes just like regular Thai tea with milk but probably a lot more healthy. I'll definitely be coming back for more! read more

This place popped up on my IG feed and I'm glad that I finally had a chance to try it. They have pop up stand on Saturday early afternoon, next to the Coffee Bean on Palms/Sepulveda. I was really excited to try the purple yam, but they didn't have it that day. We ended up getting the mango with 1/2 white and 1/2 purple rice. It's my first time trying sweet purple rice, and the texture's different from the white rice. They're both pretty good and I'm glad that I got the combo. What to expect here? Mango sticky rice from a parking lot. Horrible. There is no taste whatsoever. Bland. Seems like the coconut "cream" is completely diluted with water. I couldn't taste the coconut at ALL not the slightest taste of coconut. The rice is poor quality and overcooked. The mango taste like artificial mango but I guess I can't blame them because it's not the season. But REALLY? You are Thai people selling it, you should know better. WE deserve better, don't try to trick people, you can still make a profit with quality ingredients like REAL COCONUT MILK. You decide: retuning customers or angry costumers and out of business.
