    Thai tea

What a delicious treat. The sticky rice dessert was sweeter than I expected so it's definitely good to share. I have never had purple rice so that was really good too. The pleasant surprise was the sweetness level of the Thai tea, which is normally so overly sweet from everywhere I have ever had it and this one was just perfect. Will be takin my sister and mom here when they visit. Great job ladies!

Mango sticky rice from a food cart... and I didn't have to go to Thailand for it?!?! SCORE! Sure, it's west LA pricing, and it lacks the sweating-my-butt-off-in-the-heat authenticity of a stall in SE Asia, but it's in a convenient place and it's definitely tasty enough all things considered.

Been craving mango sticky rice for weeks only to get shut down by all my favourite spots because it's 'not in season. ' I was desperate and even tried to make it myself lol. So when this popped up on my Instagram timeline I was excited! I ran their Yelp stats and couldn't wait to try- My mango sticky rice! I'm very glad that I found them too because it was so good! I tried the half red/ half white rice and enjoyed both. I will definitely be back for another box full and would highly recommend folks to give them a try!

Best mango sticky rice I've ever had. You can choose between white or purple rice or half&half. The mangos are ripe, perfectly sweet, and topped with sesame seeds. Usually the sticky rice I get from Thai restaurants are a bit dry, but here the rice was drenched in the tasty coconut sauce while still retaining that chewy texture that I love. There were two girls running the stall. You can pay through Venmo or cash only. The stall is located on Sepulveda & Palms. Inside the Trader Joe's parking lot!

Half/half normal mango sticky rice and berry rice

My Mango Sticky Rice pops up rarely at Palms/Sepulveda, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, but it's absolutely worth the trek. This little family-owned /stand (two sisters!) doles out only Mango Sticky Rice as you can guess, but boy does it dole it out gooood. Don't worry about cash either, they take Venmo if you don't have any! There's one of three choices when you get there, can opt to get their normal mango sticky rice, a berry rice one or half and half. When I went, we got the half and half, curious about the berry rice, and funnily enough, I'd recommend the berry rice over the normal one after trying both! It just has a nice inherent sweetness that adds to the coconut milk drizzle. On top of it all, the mangos feel fresh and everything just pops nicely together. Doesn't hurt that the two sisters running it are incredibly nice and helpful as well! Definitely hit this pop-up stand on Tuesday or Saturdays for a nice little dessert option to cap pff your meal that day.

SOO good! Heard about this place through reddit and I knew I had to come because it's hard to find good mango sticky rice for an affordable price anywhere in LA. I came here around 12PM on a Saturday and they were out of a lot of things already but this was some really good mango sticky rice! I got the white rice version and wow the rice was covered in coconut milk and was so sweet and creamy. The mango was also freshly cut in front of me and because it's not mango season yet, the mangoes aren't as sweet and juicy. But it was still very good! For the price ($6), you get A LOT of rice and mango so this was definitely worth it. The ladies ran out of ice and half and half for Thai tea by the time I got there, so I opted for their almond milk version which I thought I wouldn't like as much since I usually like creamier drinks. However to my surprise, it tastes just like regular Thai tea with milk but probably a lot more healthy. I'll definitely be coming back for more!

This place popped up on my IG feed and I'm glad that I finally had a chance to try it. They have pop up stand on Saturday early afternoon, next to the Coffee Bean on Palms/Sepulveda. I was really excited to try the purple yam, but they didn't have it that day. We ended up getting the mango with 1/2 white and 1/2 purple rice. It's my first time trying sweet purple rice, and the texture's different from the white rice. They're both pretty good and I'm glad that I got the combo. The mango was also ripe and sweet.. this dessert is perfect for late summer. If you like Thai Tea, I'd also recommend trying theirs!

Service was friendly and staff were helpful when I asked about adding a matcha cream top to the matcha latte. I ordered my matcha less sweet just in case my drink would be too sweet. The drink wasn't sweet at all which I didn't expect, but it wasn't a bad thing. I wouldn't make any adjustments next time. The matcha was astringent, bitter, and umami. I did taste some slight graininess, but nothing too bad. I think they prepare the matcha as a paste then add it to the top of the milk. I've never seen other places prepare their drinks like this before! Overall, it was a solid drink for an decent price.

We get is the Matcha Croffle + Ice Cream, Matcha Einspanner, Taro Einspanner, and their cakes. Only thing I knocked down a star is because Not all the workers know the answers to your questions of what is in what food item or if you can substitute the milks. So that's something Cafe Upper should train all staff. Especially if people have food allergies.

The drinks and pastries have always made it an easy place for us to grab a treat, so I'm not writing this based on one random first impression. Unfortunately, this visit was disappointing enough that I felt I needed to say something. When we came in, the trash cans were overflowing, and the floor looked like it had not been cleaned in quite some time. I understand that cafés can get very busy, especially in Little Tokyo, and I never expect a place to look perfect every second of the day. However, the dining area felt noticeably neglected. With two children, cleanliness is something I pay closer attention to, and it was uncomfortable trying to find a clean area for us to stand and sit. The overall atmosphere also felt disorganized. We waited at the register for help, but it took a while before anyone acknowledged us. A simple "I'll be right with you" would have made a big difference. I have had better experiences here in the past, which is why this visit stood out so much. I'm hoping this was simply a bad day, because Café Dulce has always been a place I was happy to visit with my family. I'm sharing this because I would genuinely like to see the cleanliness and customer service return to the standard I remember. Private Feedback for Management I did not feel comfortable putting the full details of this experience in a public review, but I believe management needs to be aware of what happened. While I was standing at the register waiting to order, the male employee working there was engaged in a conversation with another person and appeared to be openly gloating about drinking while on the job. Based on what I heard and observed, he also appeared to be impaired or intoxicated. He continued the conversation while ignoring me, even though I was standing directly in front of the register waiting to place an order. The tone of the conversation was not subtle or professional. It created a much darker and more uncomfortable atmosphere than what I would ever expect from a family-friendly café. I was there with my two children, and hearing someone behind the register casually talking about drinking while working was deeply concerning. Someone who appears intoxicated while operating a register and handling customers' money creates a terrible narrative for the business. It raises concerns about judgment, accuracy with transactions, food-service safety, and the overall professionalism of the workplace. Even if the employee was exaggerating or joking, it was still completely inappropriate to have that conversation openly in front of customers. What bothered me most was not only the conversation, but the fact that I was being ignored while it continued. I was waiting to spend money at the business, yet the employee seemed more interested in talking about drinking than acknowledging a customer. As a mother standing there with two children, the situation felt uncomfortable, disrespectful, and honestly a little disturbing. This is not my first time visiting Café Dulce, and I have never felt compelled to complain before. I understand that employees are human and that businesses have difficult days. However, the combination of overflowing trash cans, a dirty floor, being ignored at the register, and an employee appearing impaired while discussing drinking on the job crossed a line for me. I am sharing this privately because I believe management should have the opportunity to address it directly. I hope the situation is taken seriously, not only for the reputation of the café, but for the safety and comfort of the customers and employees.

Due to the undercooked quality, it's not a cookie I'd get regularly, though I am a big chocolate chip cookie fan. 5/5 Rocky Road: This was delicious. I'm not usually a marshmallow fan, but the addition of this ingredient formed a nice chewy consistency that I expect from a cookie.
