We ordered thru door dash. Our favorite Thai place is Mai Tai 2- but they didn't come up for delivery. Our order took 90 minutes. The food was still hot when we got it, and we enjoyed the soup. We will not be ordering for take away or going to this restaurant- it lacked flavor and was very bland. I have had better Thai meals from a frozen meal. There were few noodles in the drunken noodle. The eggplant was hard and flavorless. It's been a few days- the food is still sitting in the fridge- no one wanted to eat it. Now I guess I can toss it in the trash. I don't like to waste food- but this is not worth the calories. How do you mess up Thai food? It's always good- til this place. read more

Finally we have found a yummy Thai place in the Walnut Creek area. Of course it is in Pleasant Hill but close enough! I was so worried that by m moving to Walnut Creek, I would never get good Thai ever again. Enter My Thai! Oh my goodness how yummy. We ordered take out through Yelp and everything was packed so nicely and the order was correct! We got so many things: Fried rice with egg: delicious, Jasmine rice: awesome, Thai Ice tea: so good, Phad Thai (spelled different) amazing, BBQ Beef Soup: really good. My fiancé and I just ordered My Thai on Uber Eats for dinner tonight. I've eaten in person years before, but although it had been a while, I remember the food was delicious. We decided to order Pad Se Ew, eggplant shrimp, rice, and a shrimp appetizer. The food came super fast and was hot, fresh, and tasty. This is an update to my previous review, in which I only gave three stars because I had caught them on a terrible day and the service was bad, the food was just OK and the stars were not exactly in alignment let's just say... Good news...The food was fantastic and I had a couple orders of their Pad Thai with shrimp and chicken and it was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Then, after a few Thai Iced Teas, we called it an evening and we're so full... I thought I was gonna pop! The service was exceptional. The people were on top of things and the prices turned out to be better than I remember and the amount of food was very ample for the very conservative pricing strhhaaf It's always best to give everybody enough rope to redeem themselves as every restaurant and business has occasionally a rough day. Picked up takeout dinner for the family on a recent weeknight, and we were pleasantly surprised. First, the restaurant seemed to be bustling with orders, which is always a good sign. Second, the woman who rang my order up was polite and kind. And finally, the food was hot, fresh, and tasty. Funny how I thought I was ordering Mai Thai via DoorDash- same name different spelling. I asked my daughter to pick out some Thai food because I haven't eaten it in months. She used my phone to place the order. When I received my courtesy text, I saw that it wasn't from the restaurant nearby. Oops! On a positive note, I'm always excited to try different restaurants! The food arrived in about 40 minutes which was fine since it was coming from across town. We chose My Thai spicy wings, pad Thai with chicken, basil eggplant with tofu, and green chicken curry. The chicken wings weren't spicy but nicely fried. I was disappointed to see only 5 pieces. The noodles didn't have much taste. A squeeze of lime and more sauce would have liven it up more. The basil eggplant was good but the tofu was too firm. I would have preferred the softer texture. Lastly, the curry was great! There was enough spice and complexity. Awful customer experience. Very rude, cocky, and extremely condescending experience by the "owner", a.k.a phone order person and cashier. That alone to me says something. I looked up my order online while I was at a stop light in my car. It had an unusual name which by the time the light changed and they answered their phone, I forgot what it was called (yes I am older) so I just asked for a minute to get the proper name of the dish, and the guy on the phone started sarcastically making fun of me during the five seconds it took me to get the name of the dish. It was very offensive. When I got there, I nicely proceeded to tell him that I felt his attitude was kind of offensive. He continued his offensive behavior by providing a passive aggressive apology, stating he was sorry that I interpreted his response negatively, not that he was sorry for his behavior. More of the same repeated until I got my order and left, well I was hesitant to even do that. There are plenty of very good Thai restaurants in the area, and I will never go back to this place . The food was good but definitely not worth the verbal abuse that came with it! read more

This spot is nearby. I've been here once before, but that was a really long time ago. I got the red curry lunch special, seafood clay pot, pineapple fried rice, pad see ew, fresh spring rolls, and the normal spring rolls. Everything I had was tasty. Flavors were on point. Good potions. Lunch specials are decently sized and filling. My parents also enjoyed their food. My sister was slightly iffy, but she's the pickiest. Would recommend! read more

It's been 5 years since my last review for My Thai, but as I've recently visited them a few times in recent times, I feel it's a good time to provide an update. My Thai is a nice little Thai spot located in a quiet shopping center, across from Melo's off of Contra Costa Blvd. They're only opened for takeout right now, even more the most recent lockdown went into effect, so they may be on takeout mode for awhile to move forward, however, there is one thing that I will note later that they do a great job with for the takeout. They don't have outdoor seating either. One thing that has certainly changed since those years back is that the front counter service has improved, as the front counter staff just feels friendlier, and more approachable. Makes ordering and pick-up better feel a bit more welcoming. Good and friendly service. Price wise, especially for Thai food, you really can't be beat here with My Thai, as the value ratio of portion to cost is one of the best. While there are many Thai places in the area, it's hit or miss when it comes to pricing, and My Thai can certainly offer one of the best values for what you're getting. Portion to price is definitely comparable here. Food here is tasty, as I usually get the Pad See Ew, Green Curry Fried Rice, and some appetizers. The Pad See Ew you can get with choice of meat, but it's just made very well as the flavor of all of the different parts of the dish is adequately flavored, and there's still plenty of sauce left at the bottom of the box if you want more of it. The Green Curry Fried Rice is not what you would normally think of when you hear curry fried rice. It's more of a fragrant stir fried curry flavor, so rather than thinking about curry mixed into the fried rice, it's more about the flavor profile of the fried rice. It's cooked like a more traditional fried rice, but with some green curry flavor. Quite tasty, but not for everybody, as it is also a bit on the spicier side of flavors. The fried calamari here is fantastic, and my only wish is that the portions were bigger. However, the pieces of calamari they give you are bigger than the usual fried calamari dishes, so from that perspective, it does feel a bit more rewarding eating each piece. The chicken satay is also nicely made here, as the chicken has some interesting texture to it, and it's cooked perfectly and not too dry as chicken satay would tend to be. If you're ordering takeout, the food here comes out very hot, even for takeout when you get it home. I'm not sure if it's because all of the food is just cooked and then put into the foil immediately then into the box, or what the reason is, but the food stays hot (not just warm), even for over 10+ minutes of driving back to your place or somewhere else. Can't say what a good bonus that is with the cold weather. Overall, My Thai is definitely my favorite Thai place in the area. With affordable prices, good portions, and just great tasting quality, I'd recommend dropping in to this place if you're in the mood for some delicious Thai cuisine. read more

Not much seating. Ordering is nice and easy. Service is really really good. Only downside is that it's very quiet and wish they put up the music just a tad bit. Food was good. Nice Thai restaurant in Pleasant Hill. We ordered the pad Thai with shrimp, drunken noodles with tofu, the honey duck, and Thai iced tea. The pad Thai was pretty sweet, but had a wonderful flavor overall. The noodles were chewy and the shrimp was cooked nicely. The crushed peanut and green onion was a nice garnish to the dish. The drunken noodles were very good. It was a little bit spicy, but it was enjoyable. Loved the abundance of vegetables in this dish. The noodles were cooked well and had a nice texture and flavor. The tofu was cooked well and soaked up the spices and flavors from the dish. The honey duck was good. Loved the mixture of sweet, savory, and spicy with the combo of the duck and the sauce. Nice bite to the duck meat and the skin was yummy. Loved the Thai tea. It was very sweet and refreshing. Loved the color and overall taste of it. The staff was very kind and attentive to us.
