What a great dinner! First, hostess and staff were so friendly! They accommodated our family and my sleeping kids quickly. Then the food was delicious: Mongolian beef, fresh hand roll appetizer, the sushi was delicious and tasted like fresh fish. Prices were very reasonable. I wanted to like Nakama (Pad Thai's replacement) on my second visit because my first one had potential. I ended up here tonight because Ricarena was shuttered. The crispy rice bite was serviceable; the rice wasn't crispy. Tuna and sauce part was good. Took a while for it to come out, server said they were training a new sushi guy because the last one they started the restaurant with quit. Oh oh. Wanted to try the Thai stuff, the server steered me away from it I guess because I asked too many questions about their prep. So I got the Japanese curry with beef. It is anything but a Japanese curry, it's the wrong kind of roux entirely, it's a yellow curry you'd get at a Chinese takeout and under seasoned and beef was over cooked. Meh. I had it replaced with a "four seasons roll", the rice is totally overcooked, to the point of being sticky and so that pulling the peices off the plate caused them to fall apart. Server claims it was because they put sauce on the plate, I'm not buying that. Oh well. read more

I frequently eat in and order takeout from Nakama, they're always welcoming and extremely friendly. I stick to what I like which is the chicken fried rice, it's always spectacular. Large portion that comes out piping hot with lots of chicken included. My girlfriend and I usually split the Spicy edamame or crab Rangoon as our appetizers and they're both spectacular as well. My girlfriend likes sushi, not exactly up my alley but she loves it and her go to's are the spicy tuna roll and California roll. I pick on occasion and they're tasty to me but not something I can eat a full order of simply my preference. Stopped in for a quick dinner and am so pleased that we did. I'd seen this place a few times in passing and today was the day. It's quaint and intimate. Our server who just so happened to also be the owner was soooo sweet and cheerful. She had the best energy and you can't help but to smile when she comes to your table. She was super attentive. Her vision for the place was to come and enjoy good food and good music, no need for all the extra stuff. She definitely succeeded! I feel bad writing this since they're a small business but I think it's responsible to do so. We went on a Friday evening after reading reviews here - we like a small, hole-in-the wall place and reviews were decent. Very busy, lots of takeout, lots of tables taken. 30 minute wait for 2 despite empty tables. While waiting i realized there was only one server and one sushi chef. Lots of empty, unbussed tables. Poor server running around like a mad person but with a smile on her face. Lots of people left due to the wait. We did as well but moreso due to the mess that was inside and likely wait for food. I know staffing is an issue in many places but they need to figure this out before we'd ever return. read more

I haven't been to this place since they changed ownership and it is a disappointment. I ordered the Spicy Conch and Octopus Salad. This salad is so ridiculously small and misleading. I took a picture next to a bottle of water so you can see how small this salad is for $15. The description says it has cilantro and onions. I never ordered sushi from here. I usually get Thai food which is delicious there. Ordered 2 rolls and an appetizer. The appetizer is not very good, and it was extremely hard. But the sushi rolls were delicious and the presentation was great. Our waitress who was also the hostess was extremely nice and welcoming. She checked out as often. read more

This place is a rip off. I visited their website and called in a order over the phone for pickup. I paid and received my order. I realized after I left the place that the pricing seemed higher compared to other times I ordered, even with the new ownership. I reviewed the website and my bill along with other postings of menus from the restaurant by other clients within the last month. I called the restaurant to notify them of the discrepancies. I was told lie after lie about new ownership and the website not being theirs. If it's not your website remove it or update the pricing. It's shady to change prices and not let the client know about the changed prices. To top it off the lady hung the phone up on me. Please review your bill and the charges from this place so you don't get screw over by a business doing shady practices. I'll be spending my money at a different location in the future. read more

Came here yesterday with my coworker for an early dinner. She has wanted to bring me here since she dines here often and raves about the food. Last time she visited she asked me what she should order so I told her to order the pad kee mao. So she did and she loved it. So yesterday the both of us ordered the pad kee Mao with vegetables. I got mine spice four level and she didn't get spice at all. It took no time to get the food which was great. When it arrived to our table it looked so delicious, I really enjoy Thai food! To my surprise spice level four was actually spicy. It was tolerable so I wasn't complaining and the flavors were phenomenal. The portions weren't too large or too small it was just the right amount. I'm not a big eater so I took my leftovers home. When I say I was surprised that their spice was spicy is because out of all the Thai restaurants I've dined at in my lifetime none of the highest spice levels have been spicy whatsoever. So I'm definitely shocked to see that they live up to the spice standards. I definitely recommend anyone that loves Thai food and Thai food with a kick to dine here! The first person I called couldn't understand me and just hung up. I called back to try to order and was again in a quiet place and they hung up on me again. After that I couldn't get through. THEY STEAL CREDIT CARD INFORMATION! I use to love this place because of their sushi & phai thai until their new owner came along, now I'm not aware who is the one who could be doing this for there is a new girl who has recently started working there but it literally could be anyone since they've replaced the whole staff & owner. I once ordered out and pay with my card and when I later check my transactions a couple months later I saw transactions for $34-$200 on holidays such as christmas, valentine's day, etc if you see transactions for NOODLE HOUSE or NOI NOODLE HOUSE & CAFE or anything that says noodle house it's this place!! not another establishment there is no such thing to NOI NOODLE HOUSE & CAFE it doesn't pop up on google or anywhere else to my acknowledge. I made the mistake to recommend this place to my friend not only she experienced this but her and her parents credit card information also got stolen as well. This place needs to be shut down! I honestly hope somebody would take action about this cause this isn't something to be taken lightly, I honestly hope somebody takes them to court because of this and if somebody does then i'll gladly help. Awesome little gem of a restaurant, nicely decorated and located in a busy shopping plaza with lots of parking. Very friendly and accommodating staff! Requested gluten-free soy sauce and no fish sauce and the chef was happy to make our meals. Ordered basil fried rice with and pad kee mao both with fried tofu and it was so delicious. Every meal that was brought out looked amazing. Can't wait to come back to try some sushi and more vegan dishes on the menu. PS. We stopped by another Thai restaurant nearby first, and they refused to make anything without fish sauce. Came here today for a friend's birthday. Gyoza (steamed) and assorted Sushi were delicious. Rolls were mostly 8 pieces and they have a lunch special: 2 rolls of your choice from the lunch menu w/miso soup or small salad for $12.
