    Fried Tofu Pad Thai
    Gina W.

Came to this cozy spot in the shopping plaza near JM Lexus. Greeted warmly by Bobo and seated right away. She explained the lunch menu, which was appreciated. Ordered the fried tofu Pad Thai and Red Curry Calamari. Unfortunately, both were just okay--the Pad Thai was very saucy and the calamari portion was small. Friendly service, but the food didn't stand out.

Ordered take out directly through the site which saved a few $. Food arrived earlier than scheduled, hot and tasted fresh. There was also a free crunchy roll offer with any purchase over $40 which was absolutely great!

I love this place!! This is my favorite place to go to get Sushi. I always have the same waitress because I always come every other Wednesday with my Grandma and brother. She's so nice and she knows us as basically regulars. The sushi always hits and it's perfect for after school.

Thai tea 1/3 empty I would be embarrassed to send an order like this.

I will not be surprised if this place is closed in a year. I ordered takeout food and 2 drinks without ice and they sent 2 drink with less than a 1/2 of drink bc of no ice. In $80 order with tip they sent that. The lost a client and got a bad review just for saving a couple dollars. Very pour management, CHEAP PLACE! Never coming back. Look at the pic I would be embarrassed to send something like this.

This is such a great sushi spot. I frequent this restaurant at least twice a month because the service is impeccable and the sushi is always fresh! My go to sushi rolls are: The Hurricane Roll, the Red Dragon Roll, and of course, a Spicy Tuna Roll. We do both take out and dine in, which are both great. I'd recommend dining in for a cute date night experience. Take out is ready in under 30 minutes and is always packaged nicely. If you're in the area, stop in and give them a try. They are in the Peppertree Plaza!

Food flavors are really good my only issue was that yakisoba stir fried the meat was cold went everything else was warm I don't know is they pre cook the meat to speed things up I don't know but unfortunately it doesn't help the dish. I ask for a Thai tea to go went I try it was like milk with syrup extremely sweet I got home and threw it away just extremely sweet .also green tea was cold they need to check temperature off the water on the other hand service was very great I will come back to try it again because flavor wise is very good hopefully it will be better.aHOT

I LOVE this place. It's my favorite local spot in this area. My favorite sushi rolls are the yellowtail lover and the sweetheart roll. I typically start with either sushi or the chicken wonton soup. My go-to entree is pad-see-ew or pad-kee-mao with either beef or fried tofu. My husband and I come so often we're on a first name waitress with the waitress Bobo!! We absolutely adore her.

My dine in experience at Nakama sushi was perfect. The sushi was 10/10. I recommend trying Devils Island (cooked) and the Sunrise roll! The presentation of the sushi was also a nice touch to our dinner. The service was really good as well. The staff were super attentive and gave us extra sauces upon request.

What an amazing surprise this place was. We loved the previous owners and their recipes so when this restaurant turned over, we didn't go back until a friend of our said you gotta give them a try. We are so happy we did and their sushi was simply amazing! Best part of the rolls were they weren't super rice heavy and with a carb conscious person like me loved. Hubby and I are planning to go back with friends to try their Thai food as we've been told that is as just delicious too. Love supporting my community restaurants that are so yummy!!!

This time around there was barely any parking available in the shopping center but luckily there was only a wait of about 20-30 minutes. We were seated, greeted and served very quickly. This time around I came with a few friends and to start we had the papaya salad (not spicy {we forgot to add spice}), and the chicken wings. Both dishes were very fresh. As my main dish I ordered the Pad Woon Sen with shrimp and one of my friends ordered the Pad Thai with chicken (spicy). Both dishes were incredible and I would order them again. We weren't planning on lingering, we hadn't even finished our drinks yet, so it felt a little rushed. When my friend decided to finish her wine before we got up., they stood around staring at us until we were uncomfortable. I will come back for the great Thai food. Just have to set my expectations that it's not a dinner experience.

Thai Curry Restaurant is such a hidden gem in Tamarac!…read more I treated my FIL and husband to Thai food during our Thanksgiving weekend visit. There was plenty of parking. We were greeted immediately and sat down at a clean table. We all ordered a Thai tea which was incredibly reasonably priced at only $3.50 a glass. My FIL and I also ordered a Tom Kha soup (his had shrimp, mine was chicken). He ordered cashew nut sauce with pork, my husband ordered tofu basil noodles, and I ordered tofu Massaman curry. Everything tasted great and my Massaman curry was one of the best I've ever had! It was different with sweet potato in it but the sauce was so flavorful. We all enjoyed our meals and had enough to take home. I spent (with tip), less than $80 for all of us to have 2 meals each. The portions are big enough to have a second meal! The staff here are all very nice and quick, too. We didn't have any issues with our orders and they were very attentive. Thai Curry Restaurant...5 stars!

When I saw the yelp reviews, I was super excited to try this place out. My mom and I came around 6:30ish tonight (Friday night) and the place was completely empty. We were immediately greeted and told to pick any table we wanted. There were 5 4-top tables inside the restaurant as well as counter seating, however, it doesn't seem they use the counters for serving as they were full of to-go orders and other things. I'm sure if they were full they would make room. The place is nice and homey and decorated super cute. It's a small restaurant but comfortable. By the time we were finishing up all the tables were full and it was still a reasonable volume. Our server was the nicest woman ever! She was super attentive even while taking care of every single table in the restaurant. She was extremely nice and super helpful. There's not one bad thing to say about her. We decided to order the sashimi appetizer, the miso soup, the paradise roll, and 6 pieces of sushi from the a la carte menu as well as a small side of fried rice. We also got one of the cold sake bottles and a glass of the house white wine (Chardonnay). First, the sake bottle was so cute it was pink and our server placed it in a wine cooler type thing to keep it cold. My wine glass was huge and filled to the top! It was more like 2-3 glasses of wine rather than 1 which I loved! As for the food, my favorite dishes were the fried rice, the paradise roll, and the miso soup. The sashimi appetizer was good, however, the fish was slightly fishy tasting which in my mind means it's not as fresh as it could be. It was still good just tasted slightly off than what I'm used to. As for my a la carte sushi pieces I got the salmon, tuna, ika, ebi, octopus, and tamago. I have a few things to mention regarding these pieces. First of all, I know some people may say this is a weird thing to complain about but the fish pieces were far too large. Compared to the amount of rice, the fish pieces were overtaking the rice. Second, some of the pieces of fish again tasted not as fresh as they could be, with some of the fish being so tough I couldn't even chew it (specifically the squid and the octopus). These fish are supposed to be like butter from experience. All in all, I had a great experience and the food was overall really good, just not sure if I would order sushi again next time. I feel like I'll try out the Thai food menu next.

All were extremely tasty, perfectly seasoned and delicious. We loved the sauces they brought over. The ONLY thing I would say that I deducted a star for was the beef, as it was definitely overcooked and a bit chewy (they didn't ask how I'd like it cooked, but next time I would ask for it medium rare). Nevertheless, I was hungry so I ate all of it. But It was not "tenderloin-tender"...sauce was amazing, which kind of made up for it. I think we sopped up every last drop of that sauce. Lunch for two including 20% tip: $100. Yes, pricey, but quality is everything, and honestly--worth every penny-- and I would love to come back for lunch during the week from $14-16. We love the fact they advertise NO seed oils and for this reason alone, would make this a part of our monthly lunch treat.
